So You Think You Can Dance, Top 20

Happy July 4th everyone! There is no new episode of SYTYCD this week, but it should be back next week. So this week, I thought I would post some information about the Top 20 to help us get to know them better. TV Guide published all of these fun tidbits about each of the dancers:

She was enrolled in dancing by her mother because she had a brain hemorrhage as a baby, which left her with weakness on her right side, and they thought that dance would help her.

He's from Switzerland, and he started dancing late, at age 13. He is inspired by Billy Elliot. At a young age, he discovered that he learns by colors. He sees things like numbers in patterns of colors. It is the same thing for dance moves.

At first he tried to avoid using martial arts moves in his dancing, but they just came out, and he learned to embrace the uniqueness.

He is a vegetarian, and loves anything spicy. He has never had a major injury from dancing, mainly just sprains. He said, “I'm pretty safe. I mean, how messed up can a robot get? He might power down every once and awhile.”

He's from Australia. He stayed in dance when he was young because you got candy at the end. He admits that he was a fat kid.

His idol is Fred Astaire. His Mom forced him to dance and he hated it. His first teacher was a mean old lady with a wooden leg.

He started out playing baseball, but he just danced and picked daisies in the outfield. His Mom was a cheerleader, and he used to learn all of the routines, so she entered him in hip-hop classes. He also likes magic tricks.
