American Idol, Ep. 14.16

Top 24
Last night was the guys, and tonight we hear the Top 12 Girls. I'm gonna say it now...can we just get rid of all the girls and keep all the guys? Please?

Lovey James - "Love Runs Out" by OneRepublic
Oh how I love this song. I didn't live how she started it, but once she got to the chorus it was great. Of all the girls left she ranks at or near the top of my list. Loved this performance. Great way to start the show.
My Score: A

Adanna Duru - "Rather Be" by Clean Bandit
I don't know what it is about her that bugs me. This was a pretty good performance. I was surprised with how the song just blew up at the end. Nice risk taking that kind of paid off there. It was a little too over the top for my taste, though.
My Score: B+

Alexis Gomez - "Gunpowder and Lead" by Miranda Lambert
How many times do we have to hear this song, seriously? Every version always sounds exactly the same. I like her, so I will give her a pass this time. I think she did a good job with it...about as good as I would expect.
My Score: A-

Joey Cook - "Somebody Like You" by Keith Urban
There are so many things wrong with this it's not even funny. For one, She brought that awful accordion back. Second, accordions and country music just don't go together. Third, she totally rearranged it and ruined Keith's song, and it became totally unrecognizable. Fourth, someone needs to help her with her wardrobe and tell her to stop dying her hair herself...it always looks hideous. Then on to the singing...just don't like it and I don't ever want to hear more from her so America please don't vote for her. She never should have made it this far because she messed up so many times in Hollywood. My ears will never forgive me for putting them through the trauma of listening to her. Nothing else to say, just no, no, no...bad, bad, bad.
My Score: F

Katherine Winston - "Safe and Sound" by Taylor Swift
Beautiful song. I don't think I've ever heard this Taylor song before. A couple of off notes here and there, otherwise good. I don't think it's a very memorable performance, though.
My Score: B

Shannon Berthiaume - "Who Knew" by Pink
Great song choice for her. I think she had a good performance. I felt like she was holding back a little bit. Toward the end she started letting go and it was good. I still think she could have done a little better. I think she had a few nerves. I agree with Harry about committing more to the lyrics. It felt like she was just singing them and not really feeling them.
My Score: B

Loren Lott - "Note to God" by Charice
I still can't stand the nasally tone of her voice...it just sounds so childish to me. If I can get past that, technically, her voice is great. It's just that tone that I can't get past. She brought the house down with some really big, loud notes st the end.
My Score: B+

Shi Scott - "Umbrella" by Rihanna
She started out really awkward. She seemed off the beat the whole time. What an awful arrangement of that song! Yuck! Don't be fooled people...just because she sang loud does NOT mean that it was good! It was way too over the top and way too forced and shouty! Thank you judges for not bring fooled! Great feedback from the judges! She (Shi) is not ready for this competition...that was obvious in Hollywood and it's really obvious now.
My Score: D

Maddie Walker - "Love Gets Me Everytime" by Shania Twain
An oldie but a goodie. She did a pretty good job, but it was pretty bland and vanilla. She didn't really do anything exciting with the song. Any girl who sings country could sing it just as well.
My Score: B+

Sarina-Joi Crowe - "Mamma Knows Best" by Jessie J
She has not been my favorite so far this season and I didn't ru expect much from her tonight. I was pleasantly surprised with this performance. Vocally she was pretty close to perfect. By far one of the best vocally and most entertaining performances of the night.
My Score: A+

Jax - "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) by Nancy Sinatra
Jax is either really good for me or almost unbearable to listen to. Tonight was one of her best. What a good song choice! It showed a lot of sides to her. It was soft and vulnerable at the beginning and totally powerful at the end. I really, really loved it! I hope she can keep that up!
My Score: A+

Tyanna Jones - "Lips are Moving" by Meghan Train or
Great song and great performance. It was fun and she sounded pretty good for most of the song. The lower notes seemed a little off.
My Score: A-

American Idol, Ep. 14.15

Top 24:

The guys are performing tonight, and the girls will perform tomorrow. They can pick any song they want.

I'm going to say this right now: I love all the guys and there's only like maybe one that I would be willing to give up. I am going to be really upset for anyone to leave!

Adam Ezegelian - "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister
Yes! Perfect song for him. I've said it before, but I never expect that rocker's growl that he has! He's such a goofy guy and then he comes out and just flat out rocks it! His growls and shrieks are always perfectly timed and not over done. What a way to start the show.
My Score: A+

Michael Simeon - "How am I Supposed to Live Without You" by Michael Bolton
It started off kind of slow. He did a nice job with it. I liked the little falsetto he threw in at the end. That was a nice surprise. I'm afraid that singing 2nd out of 12, that he might be forgotten :( I sure hope not...
My Score: B+

Savion Wright - "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train
Great song choice. I wish he would have done a little bit more with it. I think he performed it really well, though. I just really want to see him go far!
My Score: B

Mark Andrew - "The Weight" by The Band
I don't know this band or this song, but somehow he makes every song sound familiar. He's just got such an easy way about him. Another strong performance from Mark.
My Score: A

Trevor Douglas - "Best I Ever Had" by Gavin DeGraw
He always chooses the best songs. I see so much of Phillip Phillips in what he does. He always has so much energy on stage and he just can't hold still! But that's part of what makes him so much fun to watch. I am getting a little nervous, though, because his vocals have not been as good as I know he has been and can be. He was actually quite off tonight which is so disappointing. I hope his personality pulls him through. He's got something special, and I REALLY want to see him do well. I was glad to see he finished the song pretty strong, so hopefully that's enough. He's just so gosh darn likable!
My Score: C+ (that score absolutely kills me, but his vocals were just not there tonight)

Clark Beckham - "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge
This guy! He seriously gets better every time he takes the stage. I love watching him perform. His vocals are always so on point. He just gets so into every performance. Love him! That high note was ridiculous! Great, great performance! Beautiful and so moving!
My Score: A++

Rayvon Owen - "Jealous" by Nick Jonas
This is a good song for him because there is lot of falsetto, which is one of his strengths. Those high notes, I don't know how he does it. This was a really good performance, but I still think he's forgettable. I never remember him at the end of the day.
My Score: B+

Daniel Seavey - "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz
He's another one that always picks the best songs! This song is so hard because there are a lot of fast words. He nailed it on every run! He's such a performer at such a young age. He has so much fun and that smile is so infectious! His vocals were really good tonight. Another great performance. I think he might be around for awhile. Those girls just love him!
My Score: A-

Riley Bria - "Homeboy" by Eric Church
I love this kid...even though he sings country! He's just that good! I love watching him perform. I think he has one of the best voices in the competition. He just never has a bad performance. I can't say enough good things about him.
My Score: A+

Quentin Alexander - "I Put a Spell on You" by The Screamin' Jay Hawkins
First of all, this guy always wears the strangest things. But...he has one heck of a voice! I shouldn't like him, but I really, really do! This guy is just so crazy good. He's one of a kind that's for sure. That was so good, and so hypnotizing!
My Score: A+

Nick Fradiani - "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran
Nick is another one who just doesn't have bad performances and always picks the absolute best songs. This sounded like it could have been his song and not a cover. It was just so good! Loved this performance, but it was too short! I wanted more!
My Score: A+

Qaasim Middleton - "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
Whoa, he doesn't have a hat on and he has his hair half pulled back...almost didn't recognize him! This was the perfect song for him. A song like this that is really popular right now and is really upbeat...that's how you get remembered. This was such a good performance. It was ridiculous. He was so lively on that stage...so much fun!
My Score: A+

These guys are performing like they are in the finals! I honestly, I just don't even know what America is going to decide. And like I said at the beginning of this episode...I honestly don't want to lose any of these guys! That never happens! Usually there are at least 4 or 5 I don't like and don't want to continue. They picked so many good ones! I can't bear to lose 4 of them! Eeek! I don't even know who I want to vote for...it's that difficult of a decision!

The girls, on the other hand...I don't think I'm going to have a problem. I had a few that I really liked, and those girls got cut in the last round :(

Survivor, Ep. 30.1

I am so beyond excited that Survivor is back! I have been reading nothing but good things about this season. Everyone is saying the cast is the best yet, and this season will rank as one of the best of all time. That's very hard to say with there being 29 previous seasons!

In case you missed it, here is my preview and cast bios for this season: click here

Here they come...they're comin' in on big flatbed trucks this season instead of on water.

Jeff fills them in on how they have been divided into tribes. Right away everyone knows they are on the right tribe and immediately you can see some animosity brewing between the tribes.

Jeff says they each need to pick a leader for their tribe.

White Collars choose Joaquin as their leader. Max knows it's not a good idea to step up as leader.
Blue Collars choose Dan. No Collars choose Will...because he promised to make them all sandwiches. Max thought they were struggling with their decision and wondered if they needed a White Collar person to help them out.

Next the leaders pick a person to help make an important decision. Joaquin picks So. Dan picks Scott. Will picks Jenn.

The Voice, Ep. 8.2

Blind Auditions #2

Team Adam - 3

Tonya Boyd-Cannon, 35
And she is what you call "bald-bald" (a Seinfeld reference). She works with a prison choir...um...OK. I can tell even before she sings that she is not going to sing anything I'm going to like. It is now guaranteed that she will end up being the first member of Adam's team :( Song choice was a nice surprise. I didn't expect her to sing Pharrell's "Happy". And there turns Adam...I knew it. She's OK, nothing we haven't heard a million times on this show before. Pharrell and Christina also turn around, so I'm hoping she'll choose one of them. I mean, she sang Pharrell's song, so why not choose him, right?! And of course, what did I say? He even said there was no reason why she should pick him, and more reasons why she should pick Christina and Pharrell.
Chair Turns: 3 (Adam, Christina, Pharrell)

Blaze Johnson, 23
He's right, he doesn't sound like the way he looks. And I didn't expect to hear him sing The Fray. I would have guessed Barry White or something else ridiculous like that. Pretty good voice. I liked how he really went for it at the end. I thought the end of the song was better than the first half.
Chair Turns: 2 (Adam and Blake)

Deanna Johnson, 18
She has such an interesting tone. You wouldn't expect her to have such a deep voice. I usually don't like girls with deep voices, but I actually kind of liked her performance.
Chair Turns: 4

Team Blake - 4

Brooke Adee, 16
I love the song "Skinny Love" by Birdy. She sang it so beautifully! How is she only 16? I was completely mesmerized by her voice. Love, love, loved it! Come on pick Adam!!! How did only 2 chairs turn? Come on!
Chair Turns: 2 (Adam and Blake...why in the world did she pick Blake over Adam? Blake's ploy to get the crowd to cheer for him...not fair! Poor Adam!)

Team Christina - 4

Gabriel Wolfchild, 26
OK, so this guy's family is strange! Dad's name is Blue Mountain and his brother's name is Lion Trutheart...which they chose at the Rainbow Gathering festival. Ummm...OK. He's got a decent voice, but I'm not blown away yet. It might have helped if he would have sang a familiar song.
Chair Turns: 3 (Adam, Blake, Christina...Pharrell didn't turn because he didn't think he would pick him...funny story, he said if he had 4 chairs he would have picked Pharrell)

Joe Tolo, 21
He's got a nice tone. It took me until the chorus to figure out what song he was singing. I was thinking he was just OK, but once he hit the chorus the second time and then hit this crazy ridiculous note at the end, I was like WOW!
Chair Turns: 2 (Blake and Christina)

Team Pharrell - 5

Anthony Riley, 20
Whoa...he came out blazing! Chairs turned right away. He sounds like a real professional singer. His pitch was perfect. He even had some pretty sweet dance moves. There was one of his squeals that just didn't sit right, but other than that, it was a really great audition. I got some goosebumps on that ending! That dude can perform!
Chair Turns: 4

Mia Z, 15
Well for one thing, you can't understand a single word she's singing. It's clear she has an incredible voice though. If she can just learn to enunciate a little better, she'd be really good. She hit an incredibly high note at the end...wow! Blake thought he had her, and Pharrell turned around at the last second. I love that Adam said she didn't need all the affectation in her voice...I was thinking the same thing!
Chair Turns: 2 (Blake and Pharrell)

The Voice, Ep. 8.1

It's time for Season 8!

Our coaches for this season are Adam Levine (of course), Blake Shelton (of course), Christina Aguilera, and Pharrell Williams. All are returning coaches, but we've never had this combination before.

Joining this season as mentors during the Battle Rounds are:

Team Adam: Ellie Goulding
Team Blake: Meghan Trainor
Team Christina: Nick Jonas
Team Pharrell: Lionel Richie

The Blind Auditions begin, and here's who joined a team tonight:

Team Adam - 0

Team Blake - 3

Sarah Potenza, 34
She has a huge personality, and she's got a lot going on with her look. Doesn't do anything for me at all. I hate the glasses. I was not impressed with her voice at all. I would say she was OK, but I would definitely pass. I didn't hear anything special about her voice at all. It was kind of raspy, kind of gravely. We've heard lots like her before and she wasn't any better than any of them. She's necklace twins with Pharrell and she got a very long hug from Adam...not fair! She lives in Nashville, so naturally, even though she sang rock, she chose Blake.
Chair Turns: 4

Cody Wickline, 20
He's clearly country just by looking at him, and then he talks...yep...he's all country. 3 words, and Adam pushed his button. Wow, that was fast! He sounds like he's trying to sing with his mouth closed or something strange. I don't care for it at all. Parts of his voice were nice, I just wish he would open his mouth a little more and wouldn't have so much of that country twang. Adam was way too excited for him...like way too excited...he's not that good. I totally disagree with Christina. She said he could sing anything. Um no. He is in one lane, and one lane only, and that's country. He would not sound right singing anything else...at all, trust me.
Chair Turns: 4

Joshua Davis, 37
Only 5 words in, and Adam and Blake turned around. He's got a very distinct voice, very Bob Dylan-esque, with a lot of depth and soul. He is one to watch, because he's got a lot of talent. There's some blues there, there's some rock. Great performance! I can't believe he didn't get 4 chairs.
Chair Turns: Adam and Blake

Team Christina - 2

Rob Taylor, 22
He has a very rich sounding voice. It's so full. He started out pretty deep, and then all of a sudden he went into this ridiculously high falsetto. And he just kept going higher and higher...my goodness! He's got some skills! He hit some notes only dogs could hear, I think. Wow. I got some goosebumps on that one. I didn't love the song, but he has definitely got some pipes on him.
Chair Turns: 3 (Adam, Christina, Pharrell)

Treeva Gibson, 16
Absolutely beautiful voice! There's something a little haunting about her voice. She has a beautiful vibrato, that she didn't over do. She was maybe shaky in a couple places, but I think she can get past that. The end of the song was so strong. Great performance. I can't believe only 2 chairs turned.
Chair Turns: 2 (Christina and Blake)

Team Pharrell - 3

Lowell Oakley, 19
Cute kid! I hate that he's a crooner...boo! He sounds a lot older than 19. I absolutely hated the song! He seems to have a pretty good voice, but oh man...pick a different song!
Chair Turns: 2 (Adam and Pharrell)

Meghan Linsey, 28
1/2 of the duo Steel Magnolia, and she has opened for Blake before. Well, I guess this is a done deal. She has a really interesting voice. Her voice has a lot of different textures and tones to it. The second half of the song sounded almost completely different than the first, but I really liked it! She gave everything she had to that performance.
Chair Turns: 3 (Adam, Christina, Pharrell)

Sawyer Fredericks, 15
This kid looks like his hair has never seen scissors. He needs a haircut, badly. I'm sorry, he looks like a girl, especially the way his long hair is styled. He reminds me so much of Jason Castro from American Idol. He's got the same blue eyes, and long hair. He does not look like a farmboy...at all. I love the Soggy Bottom Boys' "Man of Constant Sorrow". It didn't take more than a couple words for Adam, Pharrell and Christina to turn around. I cannot believe this kid's voice! Holy crap! The more he sings, the more insane it is. I got the full body goosebumps on this one! I almost didn't even recognize the song, but it was so amazing! Adam has no one so far...he NEEDS this kid!
Chair Turns: 4

His performance was so good, I'm embedding it here, just in case you missed it or want to watch it again!

The Bachelor, Ep. 19.9

Top 3: Overnight Dates in Bali

Kaitlyn
They go to a local temple. They have to put on special clothes, and they are not allowed to kiss in the temple. Embracing the culture, they decide to carry baskets on their heads just like the women were doing. They participated in some sort of prayer ritual, and Chris wore something really strange on his head.

Next they walked around the streets and said hello to the locals. There were even wild monkeys! And then more monkeys! They were so cute...I want one! Chris let one sit on his shoulder and ate a banana. Next thing you know they just start climbing up his legs and all over him. One even peed on him. Kaitlyn was kind of freaked out. She wasn't so sure she wanted them climbing all over her.

They had dinner in a beautiful garden. Chris said she's been holding back, and she said she knows she has a guard up. She doesn't want to be that way, but she has a fear of loss from her last relationship. She said she is surprised by the way she feels about him. She is vulnerable but feels like she is at her best self when she's like that. He said he's really excited about what they have going and she agreed.

Fantasy Suite time: she said she can't imagine saying no to that. He said they deserve it and she said it was exactly what they need. There was an outdoor bathtub completely filled with different colored rose petals in the shape of a heart...the whole thing was covered in them! It was really pretty!

She said she feels like she has opened up more to him than she has to anyone. She said she is completely falling in love with him. He said he was falling in love with her as well. Ooh...kind of a Bachelor/Bachelorette faux pas...not really supposed to let them know that.

American Idol, Ep. 14.14

Showcase #2

We're halfway to our Top 24 who will go on to perform for America's votes. We saw some great singers move on last night, and I have a few favorites I'm crossing my fingers for. Don't want to mention any names, so I don't jinx them!

Made it through to the Top 24!

Joey Cook
Can we just cut her already?! Every round, it's the same thing. She forgot her words several times, but of course in this performance, she actually did pretty well, and wasn't totally and utterly annoying like in most of her performances. And I was glad to see that she didn't have the accordion again. I knew there was no way they were going to cut her, they just love her so much.

Katherine Winston
We haven't seen much of her up to this point. I can see why, she's not that impressive or memorable. I'm really surprised she made it through.

Alexis Gomez
I've really liked her from the beginning. I liked her performance, but I don't think the Spanish works with country.

Quentin Alexander

American Idol, Ep. 14.13

Top 48: Showcase #1

They will be performing in front of the judges and a live audience. Then they will make that long walk down the runway to find out if they make it to the Top 24, where America will start voting. Is this the first time they've had them sing in front of a live audience at this stage? Usually it's only when they get to the Top 24 isn't it?

Make it through to Top 24!

Michael Simeon
Great performance, he just keeps getting stronger. Loved him undoing the tie...nice touch! He had some nice dance moves as well, and showed off some great range with musical styles. So incredibly glad he made it through!

Loren Lott
Very karaoke version of "My Heart Will Go On". It was screechy and kind of painful to listen to, to be honest. I agreed with Harry, there was no connection. I'm not surprised that she still made it through.

Adam Ezegelian
Another good performance from Adam. I'm always surprised that he can easily pull off the hard rock stuff. That last high note was crazy! It's kind of hard to take him seriously the way he looks and the goofy way he acts on stage though.

Lovey James
Another very strong performance. I really like her. She's such a performer and she's got the voice to compliment that.

Adanna Duru
She's trying to turn into Fantasia. That's not going to make me like her. She had a pretty good performance, but it was too over the top for me.

Maddie Walker
She's got a great voice, but I just don't know if she has what it takes to stand out and do well in this competition. She beat out Rachel Hallack in a sing-off.

Clark Beckham
The crowd loved him, that's for sure. I love watching him go to town on that piano. He did some really sick and amazing things with his voice on that song. It was incredible. I hate that song, but he sang the crap out of it! He is really proving himself to be a great contender. And he's just so cute! I love that smile!

Daniel Seavey
Oh this kid...I can't say it enough...he's just so freakin' cute! I love seeing him grow so much in such a short amount of time! Doing Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" was an interesting and cool choice. He is not afraid to take risks at all, that's great! I'm so happy for him! I don't know if I've ever been happier for someone to advance. I just can't help but root for this kid! Part of me thought this might be the round where they said he was just too young and not ready, but nope!

Tyanna Jones
She's good, but I don't get excited to hear her sing. At least she's less annoying than Adanna and Loren.

Rayvon Owen
Another nice performance, but he's just so forgettable.

Shannon Berthiaume
For her first performance in front of a live audience, I'd say she did pretty good, and you'd never know it was her first. She really nailed the vocal and the feel of that song.

Jax
This was a much better performance for me. I was really jumping off the Jax bandwagon with her last ridiculous performances. However, this performance was cute and really strong. She didn't do so many annoying things with her voice this time. It was much better.

Notable Cuts

Cody Fry
I liked him doing something different by doing Coldplay. I don't know if it was his best performance, but I still like him. It was hard to tell by just hearing that little bit.

J. None (the guy with the Mr. Crispy teddy bear)

Reno Anoa'i

Rachel Hallack
She sounds just about like any other blonde country girl singing "Gun Powder and Lead". Good, but nothing special. She lost a sing-off to Maddie Walker.

The Bachelor, Ep. 19.8

We start with the continuation of last night's episode. If you thought that would be at the Rose Ceremony, you would be wrong. There was one more date that week, and that was with Becca.

Date #4: Becca
Becca talks about a previous on-again/off-again relationship. She said she's never been in love before, even though that relationship lasted 4 years. She said the way she feels about him was unexpected to her. She said she wants him to meet her family. Not much happened on this date...pretty boring...which is why we only saw like 2 minutes of it.

Back at the hotel, Carly is telling Whitney and Jade about the disaster of a date. Britt enters and she said just packed her bags and she thinks she might leave tomorrow. Britt said she was upset because they had just had a really great conversation and then he gave the rose to Kaitlyn instead. She didn't think the man she loved and was supposed to be with would do that. Carly asked if there was anything he could say to change her mind and she said she didn't think so. Carly wasn't buying it because in 5 minutes she will say something different. Britt said it's in the realm of possibilities that he could change her mind, but she didn't think so...which is just what Carly was talking about. Britt got really upset and left the room.

The Bachelor, Ep, 19.7

Chris Tells All Special

Chris H. sits down with Kelsey. She doesn't think she is controversial. She still claims she didn't fake the panic attack. She blamed it on too many emotions flooding her. She claims to know what a panic attack is because she's in the medical profession, even though she's never had one. I heard a "real" medical professional say it is physically impossible to pass out during a panic attack. So, yeah.

On Ashley: she hopes Ashley can see that she still respects her...even after all the nasty things she said about her.

She's worried about seeing the girls on The Women Tell All because she thinks it's going to be a crucifixion.

On to Chris...

American Idol, Ep. 14.12

Hollywood Round continues...

The group round is done, and now we are on to the final solo performances, on the final day. Fingers crossed we don't lose any more good ones! There are 80 singers left, and they are going to cut them about in half.

Loren Lott
I haven't been very impressed with her this far in the competition, but I think she killed "Skyfall". She didn't have that childish sound to her voice like she normally does. She started out soft and then really built it up. It was a very strong performance. Her best yet.

She made it through

Daniel Seavey
Love this kid...you just can't help but smile when you see him. He's come a long way from his initial audition. His falsetto was really good. I love watching him sing, and how he glances at the judges, it's just too cute. Another really good performance. It's not perfect by any means, but it's so enjoyable because he's so likable.

He made it through! I'm always nervous for him because I feel like at any time they can say that his cuteness just isn't enough.

"Big Ron" Wilson
The behind-the-scenes drama with the vocal coaches and band are very unbecoming. His voice is not good enough to win me over, especially after seeing that. He's OK, but he's a dime-a-dozen. And then after he's done, he totally bad mouths Ricky Minor to the judges. How dare he!

The ego that was "Big Ron" is cut!

American Idol, Ep. 14.11

Hollywood Week continues!

It's time to find out what happens to Alexis from the group 'Sal's Gals'. Personally, I'm hoping she can't continue...they will be better off without her and her drama.

Sal's Gals: Sal Valentinetti, Alexis Danielle Granville, Jax, Kelly?, and ?
Wow, I don't even know where to start. Alexis was awful, way over the top, and looked like she was in pain the whole time. And what was Jax doing? She did not sound like herself. She sounded like she was doing a weird character or something. I love this song, but I hate what they did to it.

And then somehow, Jax makes it through...and Alexis? Alexis? Really? So we say goodbye to Sal. I think Kelly should have made it.

3 to 1 Brunette: Riley Bria, Keri Lynn Roche, Emily Brooke, Jake Black
Wow, this group was awesome! They sang so beautifully together! I loved Jake's beat boxing. Poor Emily had food poisoning, but she pulled through and sounded great.

All of the them make it!

Boulevard: Cody Fry, Rayvon Owen, Piper Jones, ?
Surprisingly, they all went to college together and were friends...what a small world! The song was too slow. Parts of it were nice, parts of it were kind of shaky because it was slow.

All of them make it through.

The Bachelor, Ep. 19.6

Kelsey Drama Continued
Last week we ended with Kelsey collapsed on the bathroom floor receiving medical attention right before the Rose Ceremony. She "appears" to be having a panic attack. I'm not really sure what this was, since she seemed fine when she left the room. They start to give her oxygen and ask her how bad the pain is. She said she's not in pain. They asked what they could get for her, and she said she wanted to talk to Chris. While someone went to get him, she sat up and told the medic "I'm gonna get a rose tonight for sure." And at this point she was laughing like she had just gotten away with something. I can't believe this girl! This is so ridiculous! If only Chris could see this! I can tell you one thing, I can't wait for the Women Tell All! Jade was around the corner, and she heard what she was saying.

Chris comes and now she's acting all woosy, and said she was OK but just got overwhelmed. She said she didn't know that he would take their conversation and then decide to cancel the Rose Ceremony. He told her that it wasn't anything that she had said. He told her she looked great and helped her up. Wow, what a quick recovery. Then she enters the room with the girls, and she's crying. Seriously? She tells them that she was embarrassed but the weight of her conversation with Chris and everything that she just got overwhelmed and fainted. NO ONE is buying this load of bull crap. She then started laughing, saying that she said some really delusional things while she was on the floor. Then she starts making all kinds of jokes, like her getting all dressed up, and "these don't come out every day" (talking about her boobs). I really hope she's embarrassed by her performance right now watching it back. She is so incredibly delusional! And we thought Ashley S. was the crazy one!

American Idol, Ep. 14.10

Hollywood Week, Part 2

Continuation of last night...

Row 4

Gabby Zonneveld
After stopping her song, they led her off stage, while the rest of her group sang. She got a pep talk from her mom, and then came back out on stage, with her face still really flushed. She was able to pull herself together and complete her performance, but I'm not impressed. Her voice is too deep for me.

Kelley Kime
Really nice performance.

Katherine Winston
Boring, but nice voice

All 3 made it through

American Idol, Ep. 14.9

Auditions are done, and we're off to Hollywood! It's time to see what these singers are really made of--who is going to rise up and shine like a star, and who will make us wonder 'how in the world did they make it through?' I can't wait to find out!

The judges face the crowd of 200 singers and they tell them that some of them will be performing NOW. We don't know exactly what's going to happen, but it's pretty safe to assume that some will be cut right away.

Jax
Awesomely creative version of Britney Spears' "Toxic". We've heard this song done so many times and in a lot of different versions, but I don't think I've ever heard a version like this. It was new and different, but still It was so good!

Mark Andrew
I still like him.

Emily Brooke
Good, but I think this is the same song she auditioned with.

Sal Valentinetti
Still not a fan of his singing, but he's hilarious.

Adam Ezegelian
I wondered which version of him we would get, and it was the good one. The upper notes were a bit of a reach, but it was still good.

Tyanna Jones
Props for singing an Olly Murs song, but I'm still not impressed with her for some reason.

Savion Wright
Still love him! He better go all the way this year! I still can't get over how different he looks without the glasses and braces. I can't tell if he still has the dreads or not under that hat. I wouldn't even recognize him from last year, he just looks so different.

Hollywood Anderson
I loved his original in his audition, but his version of Adele's "Someone Like You" was..well...interesting. It was a little creepy, and I was hoping for better.

Shannon Berthiaume
"Sir Duke" is a very hard song to sing a capella. It started out so good, but she got stuck and then stopped. She was able to pick it back up a little bit, but you could tell she was rattled.

Adam Lasher
OMG...I love this guy! Dare I say he could go all the way? I don't want to jinx him, but I am just so in love with this guy. He has absolutely killed every song he has done so far, and I absolutely can't wait to hear more. I get the same feeling about him that I had for Caleb last year. I also see a little bit of Phillip in what he does. 2 winners...coincidence?

Garrett Miles
This guy! You know I don't like country, but he's so darn likable! And he's got a really good voice.

Trevor Douglas
One of my early audition favorites, and he's still so funny! And that voice! Love, love, love! He's such an enigma. He's got the nerdy glasses, but you can tell he's really cute underneath...he's got a wicked sense of humor, and then he's got this amazing voice. And oh yeah, he's an incredible guitar player too. Hoping he goes very far!!! And to think he is only 16! He just oozes talent, confidence and charisma. Definitely one to watch...just sayin'.

Joey Cook
Still very strongly dislike everything about her and her "squeezebox". Yuck, yuck, yuck to her look, her voice, her style, everything. I'm not sure which was worse, her horrible blue hair, or this horrible pink hair.

Amber Kelechi
She had a total breakdown before she was called to the stage...she's obviously not ready for this competition. She awkwardly started jumping and beating her chest. I get it once she starts singing because she did "Radioactive". It was OK, but not really impressive.

They call all of the people who performed up to the stage. They told them they performed because they were some of the most memorable from the auditions and they wanted to hear them again. They are giving them the benefit of the doubt and they are all moving on to the next round. I sure wish they would have gotten rid of some of the dead weight. Day 1 is over.

Next round, they perform in lines of 10. Some will go through, and some will not. Half of them will be going home. Yikes!

The Bachelor, Ep. 19.5

Top 11: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Megan thinks that New Mexico is like a beach resort and can't wait to see everyone in their sombreros. She's so excited to leave the country for the first time. Oh dear...I really worry for this girl...she is a few bricks short of a load.

Whitney is excited to be in such a romantic city. Really? What about Santa Fe is so much more romantic than any other city?
