The Bachelor, Ep, 19.7

Chris Tells All Special

Chris H. sits down with Kelsey. She doesn't think she is controversial. She still claims she didn't fake the panic attack. She blamed it on too many emotions flooding her. She claims to know what a panic attack is because she's in the medical profession, even though she's never had one. I heard a "real" medical professional say it is physically impossible to pass out during a panic attack. So, yeah.

On Ashley: she hopes Ashley can see that she still respects her...even after all the nasty things she said about her.

She's worried about seeing the girls on The Women Tell All because she thinks it's going to be a crucifixion.

On to Chris...

The reason he "ratted out" Ashley to Kelsey was because he needed to get to the bottom of the story and he thought that was the only way to do it. He said he clearly knows very little about women. He said he sent both home was because he was feeling things for other girls and he didn't see it progressing with either of them.

On Ashley S.: he noticed on the zombie date, he saw right away. He said she should not have had a firearm and he was legitimately scared. When she interrupted his interview, he could see she was not acting normal. Chris H. showed some footage none of us have seen. She is shown wandering around the house and down to where Chris is staying and just look into doors and stared at the wall...just wandering behind the scenes. She thought there was some gambling ring, and that they were all betting on her. Then there's the onion thing...that turned out to be a pomegranate. They showed her audition tape, which turned out to be pretty normal. Chris H. said no one could have predicted her bizarre behavior.

On the second chances: He gave Tara the benefit of the doubt on the first night because he had been in the situation before and that it could happen to anyone. He knew right away that it wasn't a good idea to bring Jordan back into the cocktail party.

On Jillian: He liked her short shorts. On their date, based on her conversation, he could see that they weren't on the same page.

On Juelia: She was the hardest ones to say goodbye to.

On Becca's date: We didn't get to see Sully the donkey take off with all their stuff. Ha!

On Britt: His connection with her was so instantaneous, since the first time they met. On the last group date, he felt the death looks when he brought Britt back from the concert. They had been gone for hours, and the girls didn't know where they had gone.

Next, it's on to Andi's break-up with Josh. She started out very emotional. She said they had been struggling for awhile. The day they got engaged she knew he was the one for her. They were at the Bachelor live premiere, and people asked about wedding plans. She said it was eye-opening that couples engaged after them already had a date planned and they didn't. They had to ask themselves why they weren't planning. She said she didn't think they bettered each other and didn't provide the support for each other that they should have. She cried through the entire interview, and Chris's silence made it really awkward. She said there is so much hurt and sadness between them, it's just not healthy for them to be communicating, so they aren't really talking much. She says this is the biggest failure of her life so far. She feels bad that it didn't work out because so many people were rooting for them. She hopes someday they will be able to be friends because she will always care for him.

On to the show...

Pre-Rose Ceremony
Britt asks what happened with Ashley and Kelsey. They all congratulated him on making the right choice and seeing through them both.

Megan pulls him aside and says that she sees him really progressing with all the other girls. He said he is having a hard time because some of the other relationships are progressing and he's not sure if he sees that with her. She thanked him for being honest and said she was going to let him go. And with that, he escorts her out and they say goodbye.

They are still having a Rose Ceremony, even though 3 people were eliminated. Chris H. said that one more person would be going home. Chris tells Chris H. that he can't do it, and he said he has strong feelings for all of the girls. He then goes back in to tell the girls that there isn't going to be a Rose Ceremony. He tells them that they will all be going to "God's Country" -- Iowa. The girls couldn't be more excited! Really?! I can't imagine that they are all so stoked to go there, when other seasons the girls have gotten to travel the world.

Rose Ceremony (from last week):

Get Roses: Becca (date rose), Britt (date rose), Carly, Jade, Kaitlyn, Whitney
Going Home: Ashley and Kelsey (from the 2-on-1 date), and Megan

Date #1: Jade
The girls are all so bummed that Jade is the first girl to get a 2nd one-on-one. They are just happy that it wasn't Britt. Britt is jealous that it isn't her. She said she needs to see his hometown to see if this is somewhere she could see spending forever, because he isn't going to budge. Britt is so in her head right now, and she's starting to lose it because she can't even remember their connection even though it hasn't been that long since they've seen each other.

Chris is excited to bring Jade home...he hasn't brought anyone home since Andi. Jade is shocked to see so many fields, cows and dirt roads. She's not looking too sure about this. She said his house looked pretty much like a bachelor pad and could use a girl's touch...Jade agrees.

Chris shows her his expansive land, and as he's talking about it, her eyes look like they are glazing over. He shows her some of his cattle, and tells her some of their names. He jokes that they could name one after her. No, Chris, that's not OK.

Next, they go on a motorcycle ride into the deserted downtown. She kept saying how extremely tiny it is...much tinier than she thought it would be. The looks on her face are just so telling about what she's actually feeling.

Their next stop is to a high school football game at his old high school. They meet up with some of his relatives. Oh, and then, there's his parents all of a sudden. He shows her some of the classrooms in his old school. Jade said high school was kind of a rebellious time for her. She felt like now was a good time to tell him about her past. She said her parents always wanted her to be a certain way. He said that she seems like she has a good head on her shoulders. Now she doesn't think this is quite the right time to share about her past. They make out in front of his old English class. He then makes a dumb joke about not doing anything related to English, it was more like French.

After going to the game, she said she could see why small-town values are really important to him.

They go out into the middle of the field and the crowd starts chanting "Kiss Chris, kiss Chris!".

After the date, Jade tells the girls all about it. Britt is so jealous, and she starts crying because it wasn't her. The girls talked about taking a road trip to Arlington...without Chris. Britt wasn't sure she wanted to do it because she doesn't want to see it before he can show it to her. They all decide to go anyway. Well...that's a first.

The looks on all their faces was pretty much Jade's look too. And before they knew, it they had driven right through the town. They stopped to look around and nothing was open. They went to the Methodist Church because they know Chris and his family go there. Carly sees a picture of Jesus on the wall and it is the exact same picture her grandparents used to have. They talk to someone on his front porch, and it turns out to be the pastor. They ask where they can eat and what there is to do in Arlington and he said they all go somewhere else to have fun because there really isn't anything to do in Arlington.

They get back and Britt said she really didn't see herself living there. However, on the way home, she saw a beautiful sunset, and she said she that kind of changed her mind. Carly just can't stand Britt. She thinks she is the fakest person she's ever met.

Date #2: Whitney
He takes her to an art gallery in Des Moines. They look at some pictures, and then he tells her they are going to take some pictures around town and then make their own art. They get really creative, and Chris's silly giggle is in full swing.

Chris likes that Whitney is so genuine.

They go out to eat, and 3 of Chris's best friends show up. She seemed to fit in very well with them. They asked her some tough questions, but she handled them very well.

Whitney opens up about her family dynamic since he might be coming to her hometown soon. She said her mother had passed away suddenly during a routine surgery about 10 years ago, and she doesn't have a relationship with her dad. She told him that she is looking for a guy who has a great family and great parents since she doesn' thave any. She said she is looking forward to calling someone mom and dad again.

The last part of the date was a surprise. He took her outside, and on the side of the wall was a graffiti type picture of them painted as a mural on the wall from one of the photos they had taken earlier in the day. She was blown away and said it was the most amazing moment of her life. She said that was the moment that she fell in love.

Back at the house, Jade wanted to open up to Carly about what she wasn't able to talk to Chris about. She tells her that a couple years ago she had done some nude modeling for Playboy. She is worried that this could end her relationship. She wants Chris to find out from her before Chris or his family finding out.

Date #3: Britt, Carly, Kaitlyn
Britt doesn't know how to handle group dates because she feels like he is her boyfriend.

They go ice skating. He said he's skated once in his life, so he's probably going to hurt himself. Then they add hockey sticks and pucks to the mix. And down goes Chris! Carly can't stop laughing at him. I think he spent more time on the ice than on his skates.

Britt steals him away. She needs to know where she stands. She told him that the girls all decided to go to Arlington. That made him nervous because he worries about the girls wanting to move there. She said her first reaction was that it was so small. She said the sunset made her feel really alive there. She said she really liked it and it would be a really great place to raise a family. I'm starting to think the girls are right...she has 2 very different personalities and stories that she is throwing out there. Chris, of course, is just so happy to hear her say those things.

Carly is disgusted because she knows that Britt is just feeding him lie after lie after lie. She thinks she would only last a week there. So, she feels like she has to talk to him next and let him know what she thinks. She started out by saying that she is protective of him. She said that Britt flat out said that she could never see herself living there. She said when they got back, she told Jade a completely different story than what she was telling them in the car. Carly was really upset and wanted him to know that she wasn't being truthful. He said he was going to have to bring up Arlington again with her, and if she's lying, he's going to be devastated.

He pulled Britt aside to have another talk with her. She started out by saying that this has been a tough week for her. She wants him to meet her family, but only if he wants to. He then has to awkwardly bring up her feelings for Arlington again. She said she really thought it was small at first, but she always likes to reinvent herself and try new things, and give things a try. To me, that sounds like she's unsure...give it a try? If he proposes, you're just going to give it a try? I think you better know, yes or no, before it gets to that point. He asked if there was ever a moment where she said "there's no way". She said no. She said she was definitely shocked, but she's not choosing a town, she's choosing a lifestyle, and that lifestyle is appealing. I'm not sure he's totally buying what she's saying.

Kaitlyn feels like she is a step behind the other girls and she wants to get caught up. She is panicking because he could be meeting her family soon. He told her that she really killed it the first couple weeks, and that's why she's frustrated because she hasn't gotten that time with him. She feels like everyone else is meeting his parents and friends. He said he feels really good about where they are at. He feels like they made some progress, but he worries about her insecurities. So, he gives her the rose, to give her some confidence going into the hometowns. He said he feels like the luckiest guy when he is with her.

Man, when they walked back in that room, Britt had some daggers in her eyes! So much awkwardness and tension in that room! The look of disgust on her face was ridiculous. Chris tried to break the tension, like he always does, by saying it's hard on everyone...blah, blah, blah. Britt's personality completely did a 180. She was rolling her eyes, and sighing disgustedly. She was being very rude. She told Kaitlyn she was happy for her and knows that she hasn't had the time the other girls have had. She said she gets why she got the rose, but she is mad, confused and really hurt. She fells like the day they had, and how she could envision being his wife...she was so hurt to see him give the validation that she was looking for, to someone else. She just kept saying over and over how she was having a hard time with everything. She doesn't want to be his second, or third, or fourth hometown visit. He said he's had an amazing time with all of them, and the decision was hard for him. He said maybe she feels like she doesn't want to be there right now. She got the impression that he was saying if she wanted to leave, then she should. He isn't sure what vibe she's throwing out. He said that he didn't think he could say anything that would make difference, especially in front of Carly and Kaitlyn. And then, again, like so many times before, he just said goodnight and walked out. Britt apologized and she was just thinking about things out loud. She is wondering if she wants to bring someone home to meet her family, if he's going to validate the other girls instead of her. Kaitlyn said she felt really uncomfortable, and Britt apologized for making her feel bad. Carly said the only one who should be worried is her (Carly). Britt said it wasn't about getting a rose, it was about whether or not she should be taking him to meet her family.

They go back and fill the other girls in on the craziness that happened. It was more than what Carly could have hoped for because she really made her true colors show. They think she really blew it. Either she is going to leave, or he isn't going to give her a rose after that. They said you just can't recover from something like that.

To be continued tomorrow night...
