Survivor, Ep. 30.2

Blue Collar Camp
Dan lost his "manties"...OMG! He said he had them around his leg...doing his business, when a huge wave came and, well, now they're gone! As bad as they were (or what little of them there were), now he's resorted to using his shirt to cover himself up. Lindsey thinks this is just a ploy for him to appear funny. She actually thinks he lost them on purpose.

Mike thinks they need to be up moving around and doing something instead of just sitting around. They make up a basketball game...how creative! In 30 seasons, I don't think we have EVER seen a tribe doing something recreational like that. With as much down time that they have, I'm sure they aren't the first to actually do it, but I think this is the first time we've seen it. Mike, however, didn't really approve of their choice...he thought they should be working, doing things like getting firewood. Rodney was tired of Mike telling them what to do.

White Collar Camp

It's clear that they are struggling with the daily survival skills. But hey, the beach is pretty! In a throwback to Season 1, Max goes for the full Richard Hatch. Tyler thinks it is a ploy to make people distracted by how smart he is and how much he knows about the game. Max said he uses his nakedness for some alone time to think, because if people know you're going to be naked, they will tend to leave you alone. Next thing you know, Shirin decides to take her bottoms off and be free. Tyler and Joaquin were hilarious trying not to look at her, and her just not caring and standing there talking to them like she totally has all her clothes on.

No Collar Camp
So, if anyone is going to go nude on this tribe, my money is on Vince, clearly.

Jenn tries to connect with Nina, but she's having difficulty talking to her because she is misunderstanding every word she's saying and she has to constantly repeat herself.

I was wrong...the girls (minus Nina) go skinny dipping. Nina gets upset because they didn't invite her to along. They said they didn't think she would want to skinny dipping. Nina said they have avoided her since day 1 and they should try harder to include her.

Vince said the girls were being mean, nd he recruited Nina to help catch some crabs. Will was sympathetic and tried to comfort her.

Vince needs to have a talk with young Joe. He thinks Joe has an ego, wants things done his way and wants validation for all the things he's doing. He thinks the whole camp is basically Team Joe. He told Joe that he can't go around steam rolling projects like he did the shelter. He wanted him to admit...something about validation...blah blah blah...I still don't know exactly what he was talking about. He said Joe said the right things, but he doesn't know if he can believe him. Vince said he is good with Nina and Will, and they agree to go against the young ones. Joe, knowing Vince doesn't and never will trust him, seems solid with the girls, Hali and Jenn.

Immunity Challenge
Reward: fishing gear

It's a water challenge. One person works a buoy on a rope up a vertical obstacle which then goes to a similar obstacle in the water. Collect 5 buoys and then shoot them into baskets.

Blue Collar sits out Kelly, No Collar sits out Nina.

Dan promised to wow people for a fat guy, and he didn't disappoint. He was going against Vince and Tyler. Vince was in the water first, followed closely by Dan. All 3 work on the buoy at about the same place. Vince made it to the platform first, but his buoy was stuck...Dan totally passed him up and put Blue Collar in the lead.

Hali pulls ahead of Sierra and puts No Collar in the lead. White Collar still in last.

Jenn does a nice job for the No Collars. She keeps the lead with Mike following close behind. It's funny how all the girls are coming out of the water holding their tops barely on!

Shirin starts out her leg very slowly. Will loses the lead to Lindsey for Blue Collar. Shirin now passes up Will and No Collars are in last.

Joaquin flies up the wall and he takes over first from Rodney. White Collar's in the lead and are ready to shoot. Joaquin makes the first one.

White and Blue are shooting and Joe is still in the water, but he made up A LOT of time. They are all now shooting. White Collars have 4, Blue Collars have 3, and No Collars have 0

White Collars win immunity!

No Collars can't get their shots to fall and Blue Collar gets their 5th and win immunity. No Collars didn't get any baskets...ouch.

Pre-Tribal: No Collar Camp
Vince claims a Cold War against Joe and he said things are going to get crazy. Oh, let's just get rid of Nina and be done with it. With 3 against 3, are we going to see a tie?

The camp notices that Will is deteriorating. He has poor health and the lack of food is really showing how weak he is.

Vince tells Nina that this is their only chance to get Joe out. If Joe goes, I'm going to be really upset.

Jenn says they should cut the head off the snake and just take out Vince. Joe thinks they need to keep the tribe strong and get rid of Nina because she's the weakest link. He thinks she knows she's going and is looking for the idol. Joe thinks they should split the votes, and if she doesn't play the idol, they vote her out. They would split their votes between Nina and Vince. Will is in on the discussions with them....but he's not on their side. So, he takes their "split the vote" plan right to Vince. If he Vince, Will and Nina all vote one way, they control the vote.

Vince knows they need to stay strong, and with Joe's assets, that makes him somewhat valuable. He thinks maybe they should go for Jenn instead. Nina likes this plan because voting out Jenn would be her revenge. Nina tells Will that Vince was concerned that Will's health could hold them back. Will now thinks that Vince could be trying to blindside him. Nina assured him that he's not.

So basically, no one trusts anyone and whoever Will decides should go is going to go because he has suddenly become the swing vote.

Tribal Council
Nina talked about her troubles with trying to fit in and be a part of the tribe. Jenn said she has compassion, but everyone's got something, so basically she should just suck it up.

Jenn doesn't deny that her, Hali, and Joe are "together". She thinks they need to keep the tribe strong.

In a moment of comedy, Will says if he has it his way tonight, he's going back to camp to drink some warm water and let the bugs eat some more of his chocolate. And he doesn't want to see Jeff again til the end. Ha!

The Votes
Jenn
Vince
Nina
Jenn
Vince
Vince

Vince! OMG!!!!! I was totally ready for the next vote to be for Jenn. I did NOT see that coming! Oh no! We are going to seriously miss out on some great stuff without him around. Gotta say I'm really bummed! Wow. I was afraid Vince was really going to rub people the wrong way and that he could go early on. I really wanted to see how his feathers were going to hold up for 39 days...now we'll never know.

I don't see how this keeps their tribe strong. Obviously the 2 weakest links are Nina and Will. Yes, they can't trust Vince...he's a total wildcard. But I have to think this is really going to hurt them in challenges. Will may just be seeing Jeff again next week with that decision.
