Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 17.11

I can't believe it's time for the Finale already!

Round 1: Judges' Picks

Bill & Emma-Viennese Waltz
It took them A LONG time to get to any dancing. Len should like it, there were no frills, just straight waltz. He looked like he improved his timing, which is one of the things he has struggled with. Except at the end, he looked like he was rushing a little bit. However, he always was a little better with the ballroom dances versus the Latin dances. Side note: Emma really looks like Julianne Hough, especially with her hair like that...I never noticed that before.
Score: 24

Corbin & Karina-Quickstep
It's hard to find anything that Corbin needs to improve on. He does every dance so well. I don't really see anything different with this dance and the first time he did it. I thought it was good then, and it's good tonight as well.
Score: 27

Jack & Cheryl-Jive
If he can really nail the kicks and flicks this time, this will be amazing. He does look a little sharper this time around. I wouldn't say it was a huge improvement over the last time, but it was good.
Score: 24

Amber & Derek-Charleston
I think she improved this dance quite a bit. The synchronicty was better, and that was one thing they told her to work on. Her footwork was a lot better.
Score: 30

Round 2: Samba Relay

Jack & Cheryl--fun and flirty
Amber & Derek--sexy and great attempt at the samba roll. I absolutely loved the transition from Amber & Derek to Bill & Emma as Bill and Derek faced off...cool!
Bill & Emma--fun
Corbin & Karina--that was hot and steamy, and he nailed it!

1st Place-5 pts: Corbin & Karina
2nd Place-4 pts: Amber & Derek
3rd Place-3 pts: Jack & Cheryl
4th Place-2 pts: Bill & Emma

Round 3: Freestyle

Bill & Emma
Indiana Jones! Oh my, this is going to be awesome! Emma has done an amazing job and working with Bill's strengths and creating fun and creative routines this entire season. I have no doubt this is going to be spectacular.

This theme is so cool, and he's stealing the mirror ball, and now being chased by the mirror ball! He looks like he's doing little mini segments of all the dances he's done this season. Some of which look a little strange to the Indiana Jones theme song. I'm a little disappointed that the entire dance wasn't funny like the opening sequence. It was a little more on the serious side, which could hurt him. The fans want to see him being funny and goofy for the entire dance. Oh, and as I'm typing this, he has just now removed his shirt! Oh Bill!
Score: 25

Corbin & Karina
Karina has often struggled with putting together fun and exciting finale numbers. If she does what she's done in the past, this will really hurt Corbin. I don't think he has the fan base the others have, so if people aren't wowed and excited by his freestyle, he might be forgotten. I had forgotten last season how over the top her freestyle was with Jacoby. I hated that they had so many extra dancers, so I'm glad that Corbin said that he didn't want extra dancers. But then Karina changes her mind, and she decides to go with other dancers to do this crazy move. I hope that doesn't come back to haunt them.

Whoa, what an entrance! Lowered to the ground upside down by their feet! Michael Jackson is perfect for him. It plays to his technique and style so well! In this case this, the other dancers didn't take away from their performance, it enhanced it. The trick was flawless and extremely cool! I also loved the leaning optical illusion. Very, very awesome! Now, that's a freestyle!
Score: 30

Jack & Cheryl
Cheryl has a great track record with finale freestyles, so I expect this one to be great as well. In the rehearsal he had a bad fall, and he looked like he was really hurt. I hope he's going to be OK!

OK, I'm hating the music choice! I can tell you right now, this is not going to win it for him. On the positive side, he's nailing every single style and every single move and every single lift! Way to go Jack! So impressive, and I'm happy for him. I don't think it was "funny" and "exciting" which is usually what will win it. It was a great routine, nonetheless.
Score: 30

Amber & Derek
Now, you KNOW that Derek (a 4-time winner) knows how to do a finale freestyle! Every dance that he choreographs through the season is a finale freestyle-caliber dance. He always takes the freestyle to a whole other level. He pretty much blows my mind on every dance he puts together, so I can't wait to see what he has in store this season. He is at a disadvantage because of Amber's knee injury, and, well let's face it, she just isn't built like Kellie Pickler. That said, she's done so well with Derek's tough choreography this season and she has done things that no one thought she would be able to do. I love that they are putting some stepping in the routine, I think it's going to be very cool. It's also cool that she is the one teaching Derek instead of the other way around.

Goosebumps!!! I have goosebumps! This is so sick! The backup dancers (including Mark of course) are so good! I love their choreography! I love how Amber was the center of all the guys, and she was working it and totally killing it! Carrie Ann said it perfectly, she was "in control". She totally was controlling that dance. Even Derek was forced into the background, which is nearly impossible to do. And for the first time, I actually didn't mind because Amber was just that good!
Score: 30

Elimination Results
In Jeopardy: Jack & Cheryl and Bill & Emma
Going Home: Bill & Emma

It's so bittersweet saying goodbye to Bill. While I still think he should have gone before Christina, Nicole, Brant and Elizabeth, he was still somehow deserving to be where he is. He worked so hard all season, and you just couldn't help rooting for him! It's obvious how much his fans love him, because I can't think of anyone else who consistently got the lowest scores and stayed all the way to the end, knocking out people with perfect 30s! What a run, Bill...be proud of what you accomplished. Also, a big congratulations to Emma as a first-time pro. Bill was an interesting challenge for her, and she did so good at creating fun dances that played to Bill's strengths, without being completely cheesy and written off just as a joke.
