Big Brother Australia 10, Week 15 Recap -- FINAL WEEK!

It's so sad...it's all coming to an end!  First a double eviction, and 2 days later, the winner will be crowned.

My Thoughts on the Final 5
Our final 5 housemates are: Boog, Drew, Jade, Tahan and Tim

Drew and Tim have been my favorites since the beginning, so I'm so glad they are the final 2 guys left. Tim is a stirrer, and he might take things a little too far sometimes, but he's honest. He doesn't have mean intentions and he really strives to get to know people and connect with them in different ways. Not to mention that he's HILARIOUS! This season would have been so much more boring, if it wasn't for him. Drew? Well, Drew's hot! But beyond that, he's sweet and sensitive and he made a great playmate for Tim. He unfortunately went through a terrible stage of clinging to Tully (or, rather, letting Tully cling to him), but thank goodness Australia finally put a stop to it and she was voted out. I grew to really like Tahan over the course of the game, even thought she was kind of mean to the Sugar Sisters. I really like Boog, but as an Intruder, I just don't think it's fair for her to win. And then there's Jade. I loved her at the beginning, and I loved her fake romance/real flirting showmance with Drew. However, that was very short-lived and she soon attached herself to Ed and she became very unlikable at times. Now that Ed is gone, although she's a little depressing, she's getting back to the person she was at the beginning. For whatever reason, her fans have stuck with her through her ups and downs. It really is anyone's game. I honestly have no idea who is going to go in the double eviction, or who is going to win.

Final 5 Craziness

Boog puts on ALL of Drew's clothes! She looked hilarious! She looked like one of those big sumo wrestling suits when she fell over and couldn't get up.

Drew decided to put white sand from the beach into the salt shaker. Tim made a nice meal for himself and got quite a surprise! "It tastes like sand. Did you do that?"

Boog put moisturizer all over Tim's sheets. Drew helps him switch mattresses with her.

As revenge, Tim puts garlic on her toothbrush, in her pillow case, in her clothes and her makeup bag, and her water bottle. Drew warns her that she should prepare herself, and it comes out that the garlic is everywhere. She said "this is war". She takes out his most prized possession: his $400 jacket and puts egg all over it. Big Brother calls her to the DR, and he tells her that egg is really hard to get out of clothes and he says she needs to put an end to the pranks. Big Brother knows that he started it, but she needs to finish it. When Tim sees that his jacket is gone, he tells Drew that it has gone too far and he doesn't want to hang out with them any more. He doesn't want his last days in the house having to deal with that kind of stuff. It's kind of strange for him to say that, since he's the biggest prankster of all of them, and he started it!

Tim was so upset that he didn't even want to talk to Boog or Drew. She said he put garlic in her clothes so it's the same thing. Granted, her clothes weren't ruined, but Boog is right "he can dish it, but he can't take it". I can't believe he's so upset with Drew and Tahan, just because they didn't do anything to stop it? That's ridiculous! What's gotten into Tim...he's starting to crack! This is so not like him. He keeps walking away while Boog is trying to talk to him about it and he's not having any of it. Normally, he's the one that thinks that people need to talk about problems.

Finally, the next day, they had a good chat about what happened and Tim told her it wasn't about the jacket (to be honest, if it wasn't about the jacket, I'm still not exactly sure what he was so upset about). He said it was more his issue than her issue.

Double Eviction: Evictee #1, 5th Place
Receiving 3.8% of the votes, Boog was evicted. The Intruder curse lives on, and an Intruder still has never won Big Brother Australia.

Boog thinks that Jade will go next, and she is hoping that Tim and Drew are the final 2. She hopes that Drew wins it all. Me too, Boog!

Double Eviction: Evictee #2, 4th Place
Sonia saved Tahan and Tim, and it was down to Drew and Jade. Receiving 14.1%, Drew was evicted next. I'm so incredibly bummed that Drew didn't make the final 3. I really wanted Tim and Drew to be in the finals. I'm just as surprised as everyone that Jade is in the final 3. I really thought Drew might have the edge over her...not sure what happened. He did so well, and I don't think he could have done anything differently. I'm so proud of him!

One person in particular was pretty happy to see Drew...yes...Tully. Newly single and ready to mingle, Tully. As Drew left, Tim shouted "go kiss Tully!"

Double Eviction Night, Results
Because of it being the final week, we don't know what order the final 3 placed. Here were the final totals:

3.8% - Boog
14.1% - Drew
26.0% - ?
26.5% - ?
29.6% - ?

The final 3 were so close! It's crazy how close those votes were! Drew picked Tim to be on the top, Jade next and Tahan in last.

Greg Returns!
Tim's friend, Greg the Possum returned! Tim was excited to tell him that he had made the final.

Reminiscing About the Good Times
The housemates reminisce about all the things that have happened during their time in the Big Brother house. They also talk about their chances to win.

Tahan is the last remaining member of the original Halfway House, and they talk about their first reactions to not having anything and having to milk Buttercup every morning.

As they were reminiscing in the bathroom, Jade and Tim talked about Surly, and he came to talk to them.

Bye-bye Mr. Clooney!
The housemates have to say goodbye to Mr. Clooney! How sad! He was such a good pup. He didn't want to go, they had to kind of shove him out the door. Big Brother said that he is going to become an ambassador to the Animal Welfare League in Queensland. When he's not doing that, he will have a home on a farm where he can stretch his legs.

Good luck to you Mr. Clooney, you will be missed by all!

Big Brother 2013 Finale
The end is finally here. I can't believe it's over. I am going to miss all of these people so much. I feel like I've come to know them so well, and they are my friends. Thank goodness for Twitter, so we can all keep up with them, even though they are so far away in Australia.

It was so nice to catch up with all the housemates. In groups of 3, we revisited some of their best moments and Sonia asked what they've been up to. This is so nice to see. As we know on the US version, they get to sit on stage, but you don't get to get more than a little peep out of them, if we get to see anything at all. It was really cool that Tim, Tahan and Jade got to watch everything on the screen in the backyard.

3rd Place
With 30% of the votes, Tahan, is evicted. For 3rd place, she wins $5,000, to which she responded with her famous phrase "shut the front gate!".

I completely agree with one of the tweets that flashed on the screen: Tahan really has grown through this experience. She is not the same person that she was when she entered the house. She has changed for the better I think. Way to go Tahan! She was an amazing housemate, and I enjoyed watching her.

Housemates Picks
Since in the US and Canada, it's a panel of jury members who decide the winner, they decided to poll to see who they thought should win between Tim, Jade (and Tahan--because they asked before Tahan was evicted).

Madaline--Jade
Rohan--Tim
Heidi--Tim
Caleb--Tahan
Tully--Tahan
Ben--Tim
Nathan--Jade
Matt--Tahan
Sugar Sisters--Jade
Xavier--Tahan
Sharon--Tim
Boog--Tahan
Drew--Tim
Ed--Jade
Jasmin--Tahan
Mikkayla--Jade

If this was the US or Canada, Tahan wins the housemate's choice!

Ben's Tour
Big Brother gives Ben the task of giving a behind-the-scenes tour of the Big Brother house....from behind the one-way glass in the house! We also get to see the control room and the people who control the cameras. That's really cool! I think Ben could have a new career as a host! He did such a good job! Something tells me he won't be unemployed for long.

101 Day Recap of the Outside World
Tim and Jade get a glimpse on what they've missed. It was a little hard to see it all because it was a lot of really quick clips. They did get to hear about the bush fires and the results of the election. The bush fire was very close to Tim's sister's house, but luckily their property didn't have any damage. They even got to hear about the US government shutdown. Also on the US news front, images of Miley Cyrus's twerking incident on the MTV music awards was shown, and a small clip of her justifying what happened...which was followed up by her un-engagement to Aussie Liam Hemsworth. They got an update to see Tahan's boyfriend win his race and results from footy.  Last but not least they were told of the birth of the royal baby.

Final Results:
Tim: "I don't deserve the money, but I do deserve to win." What a good quote! But as much as he deserves to win, he also thinks Jade deserves to win as well. I truly believe he's being genuine when he says that. Tim and Jade are so supportive of each other, it's so great to see.

After 101 days in the house, the winner is...TIM!!!!!! Woohoo! Way to go Timmy! Well done! He received 36% of the votes, and he wins $250,000.

Jade is evicted, and she leaves Tim all alone, saying "I'm so proud of you Tim". He actually broke down. How wrong is it that he is left all alone when he should be being mobbed right now!

Big Brother addressed him in the backyard and complimented his game and how he played it to the fullest. He was always himself, and truly cared for others. It's all so true. Poor guy, he just paced around the backyard, not really knowing what to do. I just want to go give him a big hug!

For winning 2nd place, Jade earns $10,000 and the 65" TV in the Presidential Suite. Jade received 34% of the votes, just 2% less than Tim.

My Final Thoughts
I've said it before, but I am truly going to miss watching these housemates! From my very first episode of BB Australia, this cast hooked me! I will now be going back and watching previous seasons, just because of them. That said, I'm going to miss them so much. I have enjoyed watching this season like you wouldn't believe. I love the format of the Australia version 100x more than our US version. They are such different shows, and I think Australia gets it right.

I am so proud of Tim for coming out with the win. Jade and Tahan were also strong players and deserved to be in the finals as well. I was such a fan of just about every single housemate, so, even though I had my favorites (Tim, Drew, Ben and Tahan), I loved them all so much that I would have really been happy for any of them to win. They were all very deserving. You can't say that about the US version (especially this season).

Well done Australia, you've been amazing, and I love you all!

Next Big Brother season will be Canada in early 2014. If season 2 is as good as season 1, it's going to be a-ma-zing! Join me! And if you didn't watch Big Brother Canada season 1, trust me, and look it up before season 2 starts. You'll thank me :) You can check out my recaps on this blog.

My final, final thought: how cool is it that there is a Big Brother for every season?! The US and Australia versions overlapped a little bit, but before them was the UK version, and that closely followed the Canadian version which was at the beginning of the year. With the big 4 all being at different times of the year, it's very easy to go right from one season, right into the next. Love this show!
