Amazing Race, Ep. 24.11

Leg 11: Seville, Spain -> Liverpool, Englad
Dave & Connor lead it off.

Once in Liverpool, they have to go to a soccer stadium where they have to try to score 2 goals each against a professional goalie.

Leo & Jamal arrive first. They took a detour because of an accident on the other freeway. Dave & Connor and Brendon & Rachel were already stuck in the traffic and couldn't take another route. They were so excited to play some soccer. They kissed the grass and were dancing around, having so much fun. Jamal's leg injury was really hindering his kicking. They ended up getting their 4 goals before anyone else arrived.

Caroline & Jennifer arrive next, followed closely by Brendon & Rachel. Dave & Connor were having trouble finding the stadium.

The poor girls were really struggling and could barely kick the ball. Meanwhile, Brendon & Rachel had their goalie completely baffled because he didn't move at all for any of the balls they kicked! They passed up girls and are moving on.

Dave & Connor finally arrive, and Dave struggles getting the ball past the goalie. The girls finally finish, and Dave & Connor are the last ones there. Even Connor was struggling, which is a rare thing.

Next, the teams are off to Wales. Leo & Jamal and Brendon & Rachel end up at the same gas station asking for directions. The girls think they are doing good with directions and don't stop. Afghanimals make a wrong turn while the Brenchels appear to have took the right exit. They find the clue box after the girls.

Road Block: Poetry in Motion

They have 15 minutes to learn a Welsh verse while they cross a canal. When they arrive at the other side, they have to perform a verse in Welsh. Wow, this has to be really hard. They don't even get to keep the paper, they have to have it memorized.

Brendon performs the task for Team Brenchel. I think he's going to have a hard time with the memorization part of it. Caroline couldn't pronounce some of the words, no matter how many times the instructor did it. He started out pretty good, but he got to a point where he couldn't remember what was next.

Leo & Jamal arrive only a little bit before Dave & Connor. Jamal gives it a try for the Afghanimals. This is similar to when he had to sing in German last season. He was hilarious while he was performing. He was so animated.  Connor gave it a good go, but he messed up a couple words.

Brendon was doing really well on his second try! I wasn't sure if he got it or not by the way the lady was looking at him. But he got it!

Caroline also got it on her second try. Jamal was so close on his second try, but she didn't give it to him, he had to try again. Connor was so close also, but he also had to try again. She kept saying that he needed more umph...really? Isn't just getting the words right enough? She was being really picky!

Jamal finally got it on his 4th or 5th try. Connor was now in last. His last time, he was very forceful with it and she finally gave it to him!

Detour: Shoot It or Boot It
Shoot It: shoot 16 clay pigeons
Boot It: Fill up boots with water and toss them until they get them across the finish line

Brendon & Rachel decided to do Boot It because it was windy and they didn't think they would be able to shoot. They were supposed to find a certain size boot. Something told me that Rachel might not have gotten the right size. Brendon questioned her at first, but she thought they were right.

Caroline & Jennifer decide to Shoot It. First try, they got one. Wow! Dave & Connor also choose to Shoot It. Caroline was really good! Dave & Connor got on a roll. Caroline & Jennifer are the first to finish. Dave & Connor finished not far behind them.

Leo & Jamal are lost and haven't made it to either of the Detours. They finally arrive and choose to Shoot It, as Brendon & Rachel are finishing their Detour. BUT they chose a size 10 boot but they were supposed to pick a 9 or 11. That is just such a bummer! They were doing so good this leg, and then to mess up at this stage. I sure hope they don't go home because of this. Rachel started to have a freakout moment where she was hysterically crying. Oh dear, I hope she doesn't give up.

Caroline & Jennifer make a wrong turn and Dave & Connor don't follow them, so they arrive first.

Brendon & Rachel finish the course for the second time, with the right size boot this time. Brendon seems to have been able to calm her down, thank goodness! Leo & Jamal get 16 shots and are off to the finish. This is going to be close (at least it looks that way). Leo & Jamal are really hoping they don't go home because this is the same leg they were eliminated on the last time.

Leg 11 Standings:
1. Dave & Connor
2. Caroline & Jennifer
3. Brendon & Rachel (woohoo!!!)
4. Leo & Jamal -- ELIMINATED

Of all the teams in the final 3, Caroline & Jennifer don't really deserve to be there. They were eliminated twice and were helped countless number of times along the way that kept them from being eliminated. I feel bad for Leo & Jamal. 2 races back-to-back and they come in 3rd place both times. And to think of the number of times that they helped the girls out, and now they are eliminated and the girls get to move on. This being All-Stars, it really doesn't seem fair.

Next week is the finale, and we will find out who the winner of The Amazing Race 24: All-Stars is!
