The Bachelorette, Ep. 10.10 (Men Tell All)

It's "The Men Tell All", but first we get a visit from Ashley and JP. As we all know, Ashley is pregnant. The baby is due October 7.

And in a Bachelor/Bachelorette first...we're going to do a live ultra sound to find out the sex of their baby! As if we don't see into these people's lives enough already, now we see everything up on the big screen. As a joke, Chris Harrison's face popped up. Oh the suspense, and the suspenseful music...and the result: IT'S A BOY!

Then we get a very extended preview of Bachelor in Paradise. In short...it's going to be pure craziness and a TON of drama! Blood and handcuffs...I can't wait. The show will premiere on August 4.

The Guys
Everybody showed up! And as a gag that ran for the entire season...they ALL had a scarf on! Hilarious! Chris Harrison was also wearing one, and he said it was easily the "scarviest season". No kidding!

Another great gag...Marquel is wearing a chocolate chip cookie pin! You go Marquel...always good for a laugh.

Discussion #1: The Racist Remark

Andrew's alleged racist remark about Marquel and Ron. Ron said he thought Marquel handled in the best way possible and that is a testament to his character. Marquel said he still doesn't know the truth. Andrew said he thought "Ron" did handle it well. Marquel interrupted and said "Ron?"...yeah...Andrew mixed them up. Ouch. Chris tries to get Andrew to explain exactly what he said to JJ that night, and Andrew talks all around the issue. JJ said he still stands behind what he heard. Andrew was frustrated because if JJ was so upset by what was said, why didn't he talk to him right after it happened. He waited a couple of weeks to bring it up. Hate to admit it, but he does have a point. Chris was upset that JJ didn't handle it like a man and just confront Andrew...he had to make a scene and start drama. Marquel was very clear to say that he wasn't attacking Andrew, because he can't prove what he said. Marquel did say that he was selfish and was worried about how this would affect his job, etc. When asked what he truly believes, he said JJ is a friend and he has to trust what he is telling him. Andrew said that he hopes they can shake afterwards and become friends again.

The attack on JJ continues after he interrupts Chris as he was getting ready to call Marquel to the Hot Seat. He said he didn't think he was given the opportunity to defend himself. He really didn't accomplish anything with this interruption...it just made the guys that much more annoyed with him.

Marquel in the Hot Seat
Wait, wasn't Marquel kind of just in the Hot Seat?

Chris: "Why didn't you just kiss the woman?"
Marquel: "I don't think she wanted to kiss me."
Chris: "You missed some signs."
Marquel: "I must have had my head in the cookies or something."

LOL! Oh Marquel! He said he started questioning things when he felt like she didn't want to take him on a one-on-one date or that during the group dates, she seemed to have more of a connection with other guys. He said he didn't realize that all of the guys were making out with her that much that fast. He said they could have dropped him a note and said "we're all trying to kiss her...made me look like a square!" LOL another great line! He said in hindsight, he probably should have took more of an initiative.

Chris segues into asking Marquel if he was in paradise with a lot of hot women...would he do things differently. Obviously, this is because he's on Bachelor in Paradise. He said he WOULD do things differently.

Last but not least...he brought a tray of cookies for the audience. What a guy! Love him!!!

Marcus in the Hot Seat
Everyone in the audience did a collective "Awwww" after watching his heartbreaking exit. He was doing everything right, and admitted falling in love VERY early. He said it was hard to watch, and he does still have feelings. He has some questions to ask her.

Chris asked him if he thought he could find love in paradise. He said it was definitely a possibility. Of course, we know he too, is also on Bachelor in Paradise. And, I think he got over Andi just fine because....SPOILER ALERT...He's now engaged to Lacy. So, yeah.

Chris in the Hot Seat
Obviously, he's a fan favorite--he got a lot of cheers as he took his seat.

After watching his video, Chris asked Chris if there was anything he would have done differently. He said he just wished that they could have had more time.

Part way through the interview, there is an "impromptu" shout from the audience. This had to be staged. This woman says she has a question. Chris calls her down and she sits on stage. Her question was, could she meet Chris. Since that already happened, she wanted to ask another question. She said she is from a small town in Canada and knows how hard it is to meet someone. She wanted to know if he thought he was going to find someone in Iowa. Lady--were you not listening? Chris asked him pretty much the same exact question before you so rudely interrupted. Chris just kind of looked at her like she was nuts. Chris H. then says during the break, they can do a round of speed-dating, since the show has already been turned upside down. Yeah...that wasn't planned at all.

During the break, we find out that she's from Toronto, and she came by herself, just for this show. He said that was amazing. At the end, it looks like she wrote down her number for him. That whole thing was just so unnecessary.

Andi in the Hot Seat
Chris asked what changed after the hometown date. She said she had the most fun on his hometown date, and she was kind of on a high after that trip. Then on their overnight date, when he asked her if she could see herself in Iowa, she knew that she really couldn't. She stopped the date before the fantasy suite because she didn't want to put him in that situation.

Marcus asked if it scared her that he was so open, so early on. She said it didn't scare her, it made her hopeful. Then on their hometown, she realized that she wasn't there yet and she didn't know if she would catch up to where he was.

Cody said it sucked that she didn't get to see the real Cody. She said as soon as she knew she didn't feel the same, she knew she didn't want to make him go through a Rose Ceremony when she knew there was no future. She said it was hard that it had to happen on a one-on-one, but she wished she would have been let go earlier on her season when it was clear there wasn't a future.

Marquel asked why they were never able to get out of the "friend zone". She said she never felt like either of them felt romantic toward each other. He said he felt like she was afraid to kiss him. She asked if he was afraid to kiss her and he said "No, I just didn't know everyone else was kissing you!"

Nick S. said that at the 2nd cocktail party, when they talked, she seemed like she had a wall up. He said at that point her wall should have been completely down because she has been where they all were. She said she tried to be open and not all conversations always flowed well. She said she didn't want him to think that it was a burden to her.

On to another Chris...Chris Bukowski...the guy that NEVER goes away. He's in the audience because he's going to be on...you guessed it...Bachelor in Paradise. Chris wants to talk about Chris almost being on the show when he tried to crash the first Rose Ceremony. He was going to make his way to the stage when Chris yelled "No...security! We can't have that." LOL Awkward!

Andi Pregnant?
There's been a big rumor that she is pregnant. Chris joked that they could find out because they have an ultrasound standing by. Of course, the rumors are false.

Lie Detector Tests
Chris pulls out copies of the lie detector tests that she had torn up. She had told Chris that she regretted tearing them up. The guys chant for the results to be read. Andi responds with her go to phrase of "Oh staaahp"

Question 1 (joke): Do you like it when Andi says "Staaahp"? LOL I love that the show is finally making fun of the ridiculous things that people do.

Chris reminds us of the guys who were on the date, and when he gets to Dylan, he chimes in with "I wash my hands" (referencing the question about whether or not he washes his hands after going to the bathroom).

3 men told no lies: Brian, JJ, Chris
3 men lied: Marcus, Dylan, Josh

Marcus said he slept with fewer than 20 women: LIE
Dylan said he prefers brunettes: LIE
Dylan said he's ready for marriage: LIE (Dylan: "This sucks.")

Josh...since he's not there, it's up to Andi if she wants to know what he lied about. He had 2 lies. She asked how bad they were, and Chris said that "if  he were one of my final 2, I might want to know".

She said that she wants to trust him, so she doesn't want to know.

Andi's secret: she really came on The Bachelorette...she wanted her own bloopers. Ha! Nice segue.

Best part of the night is ALWAYS the BLOOPERS!
