Big Brother, Ep. 16.7

Battle of the Block Fallout
Devin actually still believes, and is sticking to the story, that Paola threw the competition. He really is delusional isn't he? She actually made the statement that she "could have dominated" that competition. Are you serious?! Great quote.

Devin gives Hayden a creepy man-hug and continues to tell him that Paola threw the competition like they said she would in order to keep him and Nicole safe.

Caleb takes the opportunity to hug Amber when she is dethroned. He said he wanted to hug her...not because she lost. Translation: he wants to hug her.

Bomb Squad Divided
Half of the Bomb Squad realizes Devin is an idiot, while the other half continue to follow him blindly. Zach's had enough, and he forces his hand. Zach's supporters (Cody and Derrick) want Brittany to stay and Paola to go. Devin, of course wants Brittany gone because of her "threatening move". Caleb will probably do whatever Devin wants, just to keep the peace.

Devin is worried about Caleb's flirtmance with Amber. She's actually doing a little reciprocating on the flirting, and Devin thinks that's dangerous to their alliance. He thinks Caleb would side with Amber over him.

OK, maybe I was wrong about Caleb. He doesn't like the way Devin talks to Amber, and he said their going to get into it pretty soon. He said Devin is his boy, but he protects his queens. He won't let him talk to Amber, Christine, or any other girls in the house.

Caleb and Frankie talk to Devin and they say that the rest of the house, and members of their alliance want Paola gone over Brittany. He blows it way out of proportion and says he only thinks that because he's been talking to Amber. Caleb said that Christine and some of the girls are afraid to talk to Devin, so now he wants to confront them. Frankie is freaking out because the Bomb Squad is about to blow up in front of everyone. Seriously, Devin...chill out!!!! Now, he's telling Caleb that there is no more alliance and he's done with it all. Caleb's like "that's fine, you're going home next week then." I cannot believe this is seriously happening. Where did they find this idiot! I've never seen a more stupid gameplayer than Devin.

Team America

We find out that Frankie and Derrick have been voted in as the other 2 members of Team America! They join Donny, who was voted in last week. They are told to meet outside by the weights at 9:00 and then use the code words "bald eagle" and "apple pie".  It was funny watching them ask questions, looking to get the others to say the secret words. Amber and Caleb were also around the weights, and they were all talking. They were asking questions like "what's your favorite dessert" and "what's your favorite animal?" It was funny to hear Caleb just talking, and watching Derrick and Frankie answer with their code words...realizing they just found each other. Now, they're looking for the third member. Out strolls Donny. Derrick knew right away that he was their 3rd member. Derrick shouts to Donny "What's your favorite dessert?" Donny walks over and shows him a picture of apple pie on his cup. Ha! I'm really excited to watch these 3. They have a nice mixture right there.

POV Pre-Comp
Devin draws Zach
Brittany draws Derrick
Paola draws Amber

Before the competition, Caleb goes and apologizes to Devin. I'm pretty sure it was only because he wasn't picked to play in the Veto, and now he's worried that Devin would backdoor him. Everything was kind of going well until Caleb off-handedly said that some of the alliance wanted him to go. Great. Now, Devin calls a Bomb Squad meeting to hash it out. ANOTHER meeting! He tells them it's not a one-person dictatorship and they should not be going after floaters. In one sentence he says it's not a dictatorship, and in the next sentence, he's telling them what their goal should be and who they should be targeting. Then, he brings up the fact that Paola totally threw the competition, so it's not a dictatorship. What does that even mean? She's not part of the Bomb Squad (or is she? ...Devin has invited so many people to join, he might not remember if she's a member or not). He said they need to all be on the same page with who they are going to vote out. The girls, who tell the other members of the alliance who they want gone...now, in front of Devin say they don't want anyone to go, and won't speak up. I don't see why they are so afraid of him. Zach speaks up and says that Paola is the worst player he's ever seen, and he likes Brittany more, so he wants her to stay. Devin gets the most shocked look on his face, and he's like "what do you mean?" Like how could you go against what I...I mean...the group is thinking. Oh geez. And then the room is completely silent. Zach has just sealed his fate. Now, Devin is thinking that Zach wants him gone, simply because of him voicing an opinion that is different than him (he's not wrong...yikes). Zach tries to cover it up by saying that he's said some things that he didn't mean. He said he did say that he wanted him gone, but he didn't mean it. Too late...open mouth...insert foot. Grab a shovel and just keep digging. You are so screwed Zach...so screwed.

POV Competition
Devin whispers to Paola, that if he wins, he's going to save her. Yeah, this is not going to end well.

The competition is a space theme. They have to hang 10 planets on a mobile...just like last season's baby mobile with the stuffed animals. That was such a hard competition because it can get so off-balance and then they all fall off. I remember them all dressed up like babies. Jeremy won that comp and he looked so cute in his baby onesie :)

Hey look! Everyone seems to be just as bad as Paola on this one!

Everyone is rooting for anyone to win...except for Devin. That means...Devin is going to win. It's always the person you don't want to win.

Derrick gets the hang of it (pun intended), and Devin copies him. And there it is...Devin wins. I'm going to be sick. I knew it happened (spoilers)...but I was kind of still hoping for a different outcome. Is this thing rigged?

Pre-Veto Ceremony
Zach goes for some more damage control. Devin asks him straight up who he is voting out. Zach says he doesn't know. Devin asks him again, and he didn't really answer. Zach asked him if he was pissed at him, and he said that he couldn't trust him. Zach knows he is in deep trouble. He is now losing his mind just as bad as Devin. He told Frankie that he thought by voicing his honest opinion, he was building trust with Devin. Frankie's reaction was basically "no, you're an idiot, what were you thinking?"

Brittany kisses Devin's butt by saying "this is your game". Oh come on. She pulls the "parent card" and says she knows it's harder for them as parents in the game. She even pulls out some tears. She's smart...she knows right where to get him. She's got him, hook line and sinker. She tells him she would be loyal and stay out of his way. He tells her not to tell anyone else, but Paola threw the competition. Oh my gosh...idiot move #943 in this game for Devin...that's got to be a record, and we're only in week 2! He said he told her that because he didn't have to tell her that.

One last ditch effort to "save" himself, and Zach makes an even stupider move than Devin. He tells him that he's been 120% honest with him, but if he wants to put him on the block to go ahead. Devin says "that never even crossed my mind until you just said it". He said in the DR that he never considered putting up an alliance member, but if Zach is going to offer, he might have to take him up on that. Are you freaking kidding me right now?!?! This is insane! It's like watching Dumb and Dumber right now!

I'm not sure why Devin's so worried about what the alliance members will think...this is his show, remember? When has that ever stopped him from doing anything. Heck...he even invited 2 girls into the all-girl alliance without consulting anyone else, so why would this be any different?

Veto Ceremony
Paola's speech was...um...interesting. She said "This is probably the only time I'm gonna shine...so...". And then she did a couple of model poses and sat down. Epic. Brittany said she's not a threat and hasn't backstabbed anyone. She, on the other hand, has been backstabbed and her target is sitting next to her...Paola. Oh snap!

Devin addresses Brittany, and he said that he put her up for partially personal reasons, and after talking with her, he didn't want a single mother to walk out of the house, so he decided to save her. Wow! He FLIPPED out because people wanted to save Brittany, and now what does he do?! This guy changes his mind every other second!

The replacement nominee is...Zach! And to think, if he just would have kept his mouth shut. He really messed things up for himself, didn't he?

Just when you think the ceremony is over....Brittany says "Can I say something really fast?" Oh man...we have to wait until tomorrow to see the blowout! Come on!

So, let's recap: Devin is vowing to play an honest game with integrity. The number of dishonest and shady things he's done so far in this game (including 3 in this episode alone!)
1. Shared his secret alliance with 2 girls
2. Invited 2 girls into the secret all-guy alliance without consulting the group first
3. Promised Paola he would use the Veto on her, but used it on Brittany instead
4. Vowed to get Brittany out, got mad at his alliance for suggesting she stay, and then saved her
5. Vowed to stay true to the Bomb Squad and not put an alliance member on the block, but put up Zach any way

Those are just the biggest things. You could also add distrusting Donny for no reason and getting him nominated. And then outing the real reasons why the nominees were put up last week...which then made liars out of Frankie and Caleb last week.
