Survivor, Ep. 32.6

Days 14-17

Gondol - After Tribal
Everyone rejoiced over saving Tai. They said they are glad he stayed and he was such a valuable member of their tribe. Peter said there is a lot of uncertainty figuring out where they go from here. Peter approached Tai about disbanding the Brains. He knows he was their next vote before the switch. Aubrey and Joe pissed him off by voting out his closest ally, so he thinks now is the time to make a move against them.

Chan Loh Camp
Debbie just never stops talking. Nick just let her talk and complimented her and told her what she wants to hear. He thinks he can read her very well and it will be beneficial for him to be whomever she wants him to be. She thinks he looks like a Greek god because of his chiseled face and ripped abs. She said his face has great angles for photography. And of course, she had to throw in there that "I would know because I've modeled off and on for years and years". You're kidding, right?! Come on! I really think that she has eclipsed Coach with the number of stories about herself and experiences that she's had. There is no way that she has done everything she says she's done. Modeling? What kind of modeling? Hand modeling? Debbie tells Nick that she can start a fire with one match. Really...she just said that. Who can't start a fire with a match? So, at this point, Nick is thinking that she has a crush on him.

Tree mail comes and it is very specific about the type of challenge they will compete in for reward. It specifically mentions shooting baskets. Immediately they know that Scot will be shooting for the other tribe. Debbie says they have a secret weapon in their Adonis...aka Nick. Nick was a point guard in high school. High school. Good luck.

Reward Challenge

Julia joins Gondol, finally.

Challenge: one person dives to release all the buoys. 2 tribe members will shoot them into baskets. First to 10 wins.
Reward: Survivor picnic

Aubry and Michelle are the divers.

Gondol is first to get their buoys released and the 3 other tribe members work to get them to shore.

Finally, Chan Loh gets theirs, but they seem very spread out. Jason starts throwing them to shore. Gondol has a big lead as Scot starts to shoot. It's a very tiny basket and Scot misses his first 2.

Scot scores 2 and Nick has 1. Nick ties it up at 3-3. Oh boy. If Nick can beat Scot that will be pretty embarrassing. Nick takes the lead 5-3. Nick goes up 6-4. Scot gets to 6, but Nick goes up to 8. It's 8-7, but Scot ties it up at 8. Scot hits 9 and drains #10 for the win! Wow, Nick made that very interesting! Michelle blames herself for not getting the buoys released quick enough. Man, if Scot wasn't a former NBA player, Nick probably would have won that easily. Scot is such a competitor, I don't think there was any way he was going to let himself lose this challenge for his tribe. He would never be able to live with himself.

Gondol Camp
Julia tries to see how she fits in with the tribe. Peter was happy that Julia was joining the tribe because his read on her is that she wasn't conniving. Peter asks her if she thinks it's too early to go after Aubrey and Joe. She said she was on board with that plan. Really, she was willing to go along with anything where her name wasn't on the chopping block.

Joe and Aubry think that Peter is going rogue and is desperate. They don't think Julia is reading the situation very well and by latching on to Peter right away, she might not be able to be trusted.

Scot talks to Peter. Peter said he's a free agent because Joe and Aubry cut his ally. Peter said he wants to get Joe out. Joe sees what's going on with Peter talking to everyone, so he confronts him about taking him out. Joe said he better tell the truth. Peter him-haws around and wonders who would be saying that. Joe saw that his "dancing" around the subject as being deceitful and knew he was lying. Joe says if they lose the next challenge, Peter has to go.

Chan Loh Camp
Michelle and Nick were sad to see their alliance member Anna voted out on Gondol.

Debbie said Michelle might go drown herself for losing the challenge. Michelle says she actually likes Debbie and thinks she would be a good option to work with. Debbie said she would like the girls to win and she would go after Jason first because he doesn't do anything around camp. Michelle told Nick what Debbie was thinking. He said they definitely aren't doing that and he thinks that she is actually their target, so Debbie would just be lying to her. Michelle doesn't care for the way Nick talks to her. Nick said they have to trust somebody, but Debbie and Neal are not the ones to trust. Nick thinks they should stick with Brawn. Nick wants to keep Michelle under his wing and make sure she says the right things and comes across the right way. he thinks she needs to be led and is basically taking upon himself to do that. Michelle is just going to let Nick lead him like she's stupid.

Immunity Challenge
Challenge: race through an obstacle course, then take polls and knock blocks up and out of a suspended net; stack all the blocks

Pretty even and the big guys are just pulling the tiny ones over the big barrels and obstacles. They are tossing them around like little rag dolls.

Gondol falls behind as it takes 3 people to pull Scot up and over the wall.

Gondol now in the lead getting blocks out...and before long they have them all out!

Gondol spends a lot of time discussing how to stack the blocks. Scot lifts up the middle of the stack so they can fill some in the middle. Chan Loh decides to lift people on their shoulders to stack. Gondol's stack was so wobbly and there it goes! They lose about half of their stack and the blocks hit Joe in the head and he's bleeding, but says he has a hard head and is OK.

Tai gets up on Scot's shoulders, Debbie is still on top for Chan Loh...it's block for block. Debbie gets the last block and they race to their mat. They have it, and Chan Loh wins again. Darn it! Peter was so upset at their loss that he pushes over the rest of their stack in disgust.

Gondol - Pre-Tribal
Aubry blames Peter for the loss because of his strategy for building the blocks. As much as she doesn't trust Peter, she's not sure if now is the right time to go after him because of the numbers. She tells Joe that if they take him out, they will be next. Joe hates the idea because he want's Peter gone, but he sees her point and thinks maybe they need to keep him a little longer. Aubry suggests making amends with him. Joe apologizes and Peter accepts. Peter said they are at the bottom and they need to stick together.

Scot talks to Peter and wants to know what he thinks. He tells Peter that he's scrapping his original idea. He said he also wants to keep Tai because of the chickens, so they are going to vote for Julia. Scot thinks by him changing his mind that he's being shady. Scot tells Julia and Tai what the Brains are doing. Scot thinks if they can get a Brain out, they will have the numbers. Julia thinks they should talk to Aubry. Julia tells Aubry what Peter told her and the plan to get either Joe or her out. She wasn't surprised to hear him plotting against Joe, but she didn't think he would throw her under the bus. She thought it would be better stick with the devil you know, but now she's not sure.

Scot and Tai try to figure out what to do. If they 3 vote for Peter and the other 3 vote for Julia it will be a tie. To be sure that neither of them go, maybe they should just vote for Julia. Meanwhile, Aubry goes back to Joe and says maybe they should reconsider voting out Peter. Joe can't believe she's changing her mind. He said he just agreed to go along with her plan and now she's changing it again. He said she can't keep changing her mind like that. He said he's sticking with the plan to vote for Julia. Great. :/

Tribal Council
Jeff asks what her initial reaction to the group is. She said she thinks there's a lot of divisions.

Peter took the blame for the loss in the challenge. Jeff asks if that's enough reason to vote him out. Aubry said yes, and they've also seen some uncertainty and paranoia among everyone.

Peter said it comes down to trust and if there are any fissures, this is where it will be shown (ha...fissures...a very doctor-like word to use).

Scot and Tai whisper while Aubry is talking. Scot said "original". Aubry then looks behind her to Scot and whispers "her or Peter" and Scot mouths "Peter". Joe is talking about how he isn't sure where Peter's vote lies. From what Aubry and Joe started talking about here, it looks like everyone is changing their vote to Peter. We can only hope it finally works out that way this time! He needs to go! And then Scot flat out says out loud over Aubry's head "Julia, original plan" and she said "OK". Aubry looks back and Joe and whispers "Is it Julia?" and Joe says "yes". It looks like Aubry is pleading with Joe to switch, but it doesn't look like he's going to budge. If she goes out on a limb and votes Peter, she may just be cutting her ties with Joe as well. But, I actually think that might be better for her. Peter and Joe are sinking ships and I wouldn't want to be tied to either one.

Jeff laughs as there is still a lot of discussing going on and asks if there is anything else to discuss or if they should just vote. Sounds like they're done, so let's get on with the show...

The Votes
We see Aubry write down Julia's name and then she waited a really long time before putting it in the urn. She seems to really be struggling with this decision.

Peter
Julia
Peter
Julia
Peter
Peter

Whoa!!!! The last vote said Julia and then said Pete below that. Looks like Aubry changed her mind at the last, last minute. Good for you Aubry!

Next week: MERGE!

Peter's final words..."if this is over stacking boxes I'll never hear the end of it". Peter, rest easy, this was NOT about stacking boxes. Your ego was out of control plain and simple. He doesn't think anyone from their tribe will go far now and he expects to see them in a couple days. Can I just say how happy I am that he didn't make the jury?! Woohoo!
