Survivor, Ep. 31.2

Ta Keo Camp
Spencer says that New School won over Old School at last Tribal. Terry, Woo, Kelly, etc. missed the boat. Kelly is surprised that Jeff flipped and voted with New School. Jeff is with New School, but he doesn't want to cut ties with Old School. He thinks Spencer and Shirin are playing too hard, too fast. Jeff tells Terry he wants to get them out. He tells Terry he doesn't want to go to the end with them. He better be careful, because Terry sees what kind of game he is playing, and he might just want to take Jeff out!

Proving Jeff has watched previous seasons, he tells Terry he's looking for a spyshack! LOL!

Abi is so weird! Spencer asks Peih-Gee how they made a fire chimney in China. She starts talking and Abi butts in with "What's going on Peih-Gee?" Hello, she was talking! That was just so awkward. Her eyes are just creeping me out...she's like possessed! I don't remember her eyes being like that the last time she played. Spencer can't believe he has to trust someone like her. He said she is all about the drama. Jeff said she was their very own little soap opera. He is so right! The problem is that everyone hates her, which means everyone is going to want to keep her around to take to the end.

Peih-Gee and Shirin compare notes about babysitting Abi. Clearly they aren't observant because she was right there and heard everything. Peih-Gee actually got really defensive and started going at Abi. Shirin just walked away and let them fight. Abi remained calm but in a really passive-aggressive way. Peih-Gee felt better after her little outburst. Abi went off and cried by herself because she really wanted to work with Peih-Gee and now she was being laughed at. She thought her and Peih-Gee would get along because Peih-Gee was on the outs of her tribe in China, so they have a lot in common.

Terry felt really bad that she was all alone and being laughed at. He decided to go talk to her and ended up bonding with her on a personal and game level. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not to be aligned/associated with her. In the morning, she talked to Jeff and she told him what Terry did for her and they both agreed that they would like to work with Terry. His target is Spencer....noooooooooo!

Bayon Camp
Please tell me Joe is going to start talking some game with some people...he needs alliances! Well, the first we see of him tonight, he's building hammocks. Fishbach called him Survivor MacGyver! Oh no...stop Joe! You're doing the opposite of what you wanted to do! You're not laying low, you're not taking yourself down a notch in competitions. Looks like he is public enemy #1 at this point. Not good!

Savage shared a very sad, personal story about his wife and got the whole tribe emotional. Even Kass was a little emotional and showed that maybe she does have a heart after all. Jeremy needed some time away and they wondered if he was off looking for the idol. He was just emotional because his wife is pregnant and he wants to see her belly. Savage went and found Jeremy and told him that Fishbach was wondering if he was looking for an idol, and that's where his head is at right now.

Immunity Challenge
Challenge: race up an A-frames with a coil of rope that will pull a crate to finish. The crate has puzzle pieces. First one to finish the puzzle wins.
Reward: Survivor toolkit with hammer, axe, chisel, saw, bamboo nails
Ciera sits out for Bayon

There's a lot of skids going down those A-frames! Both tribes are about neck-and-neck. Jeff pretty much just rolls and flops the whole way down.

Bayon gets the crate over first, but Ta Keo isn't too far behind.

Kimmi and Kass working on the puzzle for Bayon. Kelley Wentworth and Peih-Gee doing the puzzle for Ta Keo.

Spencer takes over for Kelley. Shirin is screaming and finally jumps in with Spencer.

Jeremy takes over for Kass. Joe comes in and takes over with Jeremy.

Spencer and Shirin are making progress. Ta Keo was sure they had it...Jeff says it's wrong! Bayon thinks they have it...and they're right!

Bayon wins again and Ta Keo goes back to Tribal Council. Oh no, Spencer is in trouble :(

Ta Keo Pre-Tribal
I'm not liking the way the tides have turned on this tribe. First Vytas, now they're gunning for my Spencer. It's way too early to lose one of my 2 favorites (the other being Joe...and the way things are going, the first time their tribe loses, he's gone).

Jeff is scared of Spencer because he's so smart. He's scared of Shirin because she is just as smart as Spencer and she's emotional.

Peih-Gee would like to vote out Abi, but she wants to side with the majority.

How do Spencer and Shirin not know that they are all by themselves. Kelley and Woo are young and New School, why aren't they aligning with Spencer and Shirin? Shirin thinks she is safe and has numbers with Abi and Varner.

Shirin talked to Abi about what happened. Abi said she was disappointed that Shirin didn't come talk to her or stand up for her. She said she is loyal and if they would have done something, she would be loyal to her. She couldn't believe that she would just watch her get yelled at and not stand up for her. Abi then makes the comment about everyone wanting to vote out Spencer and her. Shirin is shocked and immediately goes to tell Spencer that they are in big trouble. I don't know how they are going to get themselves out of this one.

Shirin tries to get Woo on their side by telling him that he will be taken to merge and then he will be the first to go because he is a physical threat. Woo isn't buying this and doesn't want to leave his place in a majority alliance. He isn't really hearing anything she has to say. He said she's never talked to him until this point, so her begging isn't going to do anything now.

Poor Spencer! He got so emotional! He couldn't believe how quickly the game has changed for him and now his only chance of survival is to go against his one and only ally and friend in the game.

Tribal Council
Shirin says people don't trust her after what happened and she know thinks she is at the bottom. She hopes to dig herself out. Abi said Terry was the only one who rescued her. Probst points out that the same thing happened to Shirin on her season and Mike was her savior. Here she is and she didn't do the same thing her tribe didn't do for her. Very interesting!

Spencer says he is concerned and he's afraid that his talk about strategy is the reason. He said he knows he needs to connect with each member of the tribe. Spencer told the tribe that if he stays he will make that change. Unfortunately, that's the same problem he had his first time around. This is Second Chances, and the same things are going to take people out.

Ugh! I hate this! I don't want to see Spencer go!

Whoa!!!! I fully expected it to be Spencer! He's safe for another couple days at least! He's got some work to do, but I'm not giving up on him yet!

Next week:
1. Drop your buffs - Tribe switch
2. Three tribes!

What?! This is just what Spencer and Joe need! A switch-up! Their current tribes are gunning for them, maybe a switch in scenery will flip the targets elsewhere!

Update: I just read some interesting things that were left out of this episode. Read the full article here. Basically 2 things key to Shirin's exit were not shown.

1. She says the reason she was voted out was because she got caught going after Varner. She said that when she found out the other side wanted Spencer out, she went to Terry and his group and said that Varner wasn't with them and was going to screw them over. This didn't work. Instead, they told Varner what she said and he basically said that if she was coming after him, he was going to take her out.

2. Right before Shirin's torch was snuffed, she told the group that Terry had the hidden immunity idol. She made up a lie about seeing him looking and then burying something. She said everyone freaked out! Why were we not shown this?!
