Big Brother, Ep. 17.33

Double Eviction Aftermath
The house is officially split in half. Austin, Liz, and Julia on one side, and John, Steve, and Vanessa on the other.

Of course Vanessa is an emotional mess following James's eviction. She doesn't know what just happened. Really Vanessa? Tone it down drama queen.

John is glad that they decided to evict someone who was not aligned with anyone in order to save him, who is working with Steve and Vanessa.

Liz is a mess after almost losing her sister, and Austin comforts her. Austin tells her they must target Steve.

Austin asks Steve what he should do if he wins HOH. He says he doesn't want to put Steve up as a pawn, so he might have to put up Julia as a pawn. He's torn on what to do.

Vanessa told Austin that she can control Johnny Mac's vote to keep Austin if he would go up. Austin doesn't seem too worried because he says he has an alliance with every person in the house.

Vanessa tells Steve that now would be the time to go after the Austwins. Steve tells the camera that they are IDIOTS for keeping John and that they made the biggest mistakes of their lives.

HOH Competition

The game: they will be shown houseguest's pictures very quickly. The pace will slow down as time goes on. When they think they know whose picture is not shown, they have to arrange their cubes to create that person's face. Each round, the slowest person will be out.

Steve's strategy was to run through the order of evictees and see who is missing. He also decided to put the puzzle together on the ground to keep the pieces from sliding around on the tilted table. Vanessa's strategy I think might be the best - she looked at the cube and tried to see which 6 faces were represented. That means that she only has 6 names to remember and think about for who might be missing.

Round 1: Vanessa is out - she was missing some pieces and realized too late
Round 2: Austin is out
Round 3: Julia is out
Round 4: Steve is out - John lets Steve win because he thinks he needs to play in the HOH next week (I think that was a smart move? Maybe?)

Steve wins...so now, what will he do??? (Thanks to the recaps of the live feeds, I know...and I'm happy!!!)

I am loving John's disgust with the Austwins over-adoration of Steve during the showing of his HOH room! LOL!

Nomination Talk
The twins and Austin feel good about Steve winning because of their Scamper Squad alliance. Vanessa is feeling good with her place in between the 2 main alliances in the house. She is sure that Steve will follow through with their plan of going after the Austwins.

Vanessa tells Liz that she would be shocked if Steve didn't put up John.

Steve made a mistake (I think) when talking to Austin. Austin said if he stayed true to the Scamper Squad, he would do whatever it takes to help him.Steve then said that he knows he's at the bottom of the Scamper Squad. This basically tells Austin that he might be coming after them. Austin said Julia might have to be a casualty. Steve threw what Austin did to him back at him. Austin told him to his face that he wouldn't go up against John, but he went back on that. Austin said they never shook on it. Austin said if Steve didn't put them up, he would keep him safe next week. Steve knows he can't trust him and that he is lying to him.

Liz and Julia are shocked to learn that one or both of them might be going up. Seriously girls? You may have been extremely lucky so far in the game, but you HAD to know that eventually someone would wise up and decide that you need to be split up. If showmances need to be split up in this game because of solid allegiance to vote for each other, then twins or any other relatives need to be split up 100x more!

Vanessa tells Steve that he should put up Liz and Austin because they are a vote for each other. They need to leave the weakest of the 3, Julia, off the block, because she will be the least likely person to win Veto and take down one of the nominations. Smart thinking Vanessa. They still need to worry about Liz or Austin winning Veto and removing themselves (or in Austin's case, I could see him totally saving Liz and sacrificing himself...which I think would be hilarious.)

John thinks Austin and Liz should go up. John said he would rather target Austin because he would rather go against the twins in the next HOH. John also said that getting rid of Austin eliminates the chance of him coming back and wanting to work with Vanessa. That would make Steve her go-to guy for good.

Every 5 minutes, for 20 minutes, Steve went to the bedroom to try to talk to Austin, but he was asleep. Finally, Steve made a little noise which woke him up, and he finally got him to leave the room to go talk. Steve lets Austin know that he doesn't think he can put the twins up against each other. Austin is bummed, but Steve reassures him that he has the votes to keep him. He asks which one he would be up with, and he guesses Liz. He asks if Liz is the target and Steve said he doesn't know. Well, if Austin is up next to her and Austin isn't his target, then that would make Liz the target. He refused to say anything officially but wanted to let him know. He just doesn't think he can put 2 girls against each other. Austin said if he has the votes then he just has to trust him. Steve thanks him for his understanding and maturity. Ha!

Nominations
Steve nominates: Liz and Austin!!! Woohoo!!! FINALLY! Steve grew a pair and finally did what everyone in the house has either been too stupid or scared not to do.

This move was WAY OVERDUE!

Liz was so upset she left the table before the ceremony was up. She even said it herself that she was a baby. Yeah. Come on, this is a game. People get nominated. People get nominated with their friends and shomances. This is not new. The same thing was done to James and Meg last week. So grow up.

Veto Results SPOILER ALERT! Don't read on if you don't want to know what happens...
Austin won the Veto (boo). Julia was named as the replacement nominee (yay). No more twins! One of them is definitely going home this week! If they are smart, they will get rid of Liz because she is the stronger of the 2 and closer to Austin.
