Bachelor in Paradise, Ep. 2.11

Ashley I.  & Jared
We left off with Ashley I. and Jared heading off to their overnight date. Will they or won't they? Well, I'm guessing they won't. Jared is not that into her.

Ashley pulls out the fantasy suite card. He was pretty quick to say that he would check it out with her. I still can't imagine that anything is going to happen.

So, they come back after the date, and the verdict is? They all think she is probably still a virgin. Carly thinks she might be even more of a virgin, if that's even possible.

Later, Jared said he was hoping that a night away with her would give him more clarity and he would feel something more. It just wasn't there, and he knows he has to have "that" conversation with her again. This just after Ashley says again, just how much in love she is with him. He knows this conversation isn't going to go well, and he is dreading having it. He said he hoped to come to paradise to find love. Even though he had a great time with her, and as much as they both want it to be there, he just doesn't think their connection is strong enough. She asked if he was going to leave tomorrow, and he said he thinks he's going to leave right now because it isn't right for him to stay here. Cue the overdramatic waterworks. She bawls and sobs again about how she didn't think she would find anyone there, and the one guy she fell in love with doesn't feel the same. He was sorry he made her cry, and she told him she was glad to find out that the whole package exists. She doesn't care about leaving there alone, she cares that she is leaving there without Jared, who is the most perfect guy she's ever met. She doesn't think anyone else like him exists.

Juelia & Mikey

Juelia is so happy with Mikey. She thinks he's a great guy and he's the only guy she wants to pursue right now. Does anyone else remember the first time he was desperate to talk to her and he tried to make out with her and she pushed him away? Then Joe burns her and she then wants them to bring Mikey back. Interesting.

Mikey told her that he thinks the world of her and he thinks she is the nicest person he's ever met. He wants to find out if they are just really good friends or if there is anything romantic between them. Mikey said she is a special person to him, but he doesn't think that he's the right person for her and he wishes her the best. She was really hurt. Gotta give him credit for not leading her on, and telling her the truth in a very honest and caring way.

Juelia then decided that she was going to leave right away. She said some quick goodbyes, and then went to pack her things.

Cassandra Arrives/Jaclyn is Rejected
Jaclyn is kind of out of options to ask out on her date. She decides to ask Justin. She is looking for a relationship and she likes the fact that he lives near her.

As soon as Cassandra arrived, she caught Justin's eye. He just agreed to go on a date with Jaclyn, so...

She immediately asks Justin if he would like to go on a date with her. He said yes, but he needs to talk to her. He said that he just accepted a date with Jaclyn but he'd rather go with her. He said he will tell Jaclyn that he changed his mind.

Jaclyn told him that she didn't want to go on a date if he didn't want to go with her. She's pretty upset that she got rejected. She didn't realize that to have success on the show you had to A) have a kid B) talk to vegetables C) talk to raccoons and animals and D) be a psychopath. She isn't sure if she's losing or winning.

Nick knows that no one is going to be accepting an offer of a date from Jaclyn because no one's interested (or they are just already coupled). So, he decides to ask her for the date card to take Sam on a date. Then, we go to a flashback of Bachelor Pad 3, where he had her eliminated and then kept all the money from her best friend. He knows that he is not her favorite person, but if she's going to give the card away, he would like to have it. She asked if he still had $250,000. He's surprised that she is still holding a grudge. She wants to know how much he wants the date card, and she makes him roll around in the hot sand and then she'll give it to him. Nice one, Jaclyn.

Cassandra & Justin
They go for a horseback ride along the ocean. She decides to take off her shirt and Justin has the worst case of boob-staring! He's riding his horse, but his eyes are glued on her chest. Classy.

They talk about their kids. Justin has 50/50 custody, she pretty much has her son all the time. They have a pretty steamy makeout session on the beach, so I'd say right now they are pretty into each other.

Nick & Samantha
Nick hopes that Samanta will accept his offer for a date, and she does. No one can figure out why anyone at this point still has people fighting over her. Amber told Mikey that before the date, Sam whispered something about wanting to get to know him.

Their date consists of a fancy meal prepared by some famous chef from Mexico. I have to say the food really didn't look that good. There were so many courses!

Nick is just loving all this alone time with Sam. He feels like he won the jackpot.

Cocktail Party - Not
Carly can picture getting married to Kirk and them having kids. Kirk said at this point, he and Carly just coast through the cocktail parties because they know what is going to happen.

Mackenzie is hoping that she can get to know some of the guys better and maybe have a chance to get a rose. Girl, I think at this point, it's a little too late.

Chris Harrison comes in and says things are about to get more difficult, because there is no cocktail party. This rose ceremony is about seeing a future with someone. Everyone is freaking out, and they think it's going to be a bloodbath.

Ashley I. decides to leave since Jared left, and she knows she is not going to find love here. She said that Tenley refers to someone as a "whimsical attachment" - that person who you think has all the right qualities, but it doesn't work out with, then you then know what you want to look for in order to find the person you're supposed to be with.

Rose Ceremony
Kirk -- Carly
Tanner -- Jade
Nick -- Samantha
Joshua -- Tenley
Justin -- Cassandra
Dan -- since Cassandra and Samantha already accepted roses, he decided to go home
Mikey -- Mackenzie; she said she's thought a lot about it and she decided she can't accept; later she said she didn't get a good vibe from him -- since she rejected him, he said he didn't have any other options, so he decided to leave

That means 6 girls are going home: Amber, Ashley S. Jaclyn, Chelsie, Mackenzie, Ashley I.
And we also lost 3 guys: Jared, Dan, and Mikey

Final 5 (4) Couples
No one new is coming to paradise. This last week is for the final 5 couples to decide where they stand with their relationship. They will all get a date that will lead to an overnight.

Jade is feeling good. Tanner is feeling good, but a little nervous. Some of the other guys are in pretty new relationships, but they are excited.

Carly is feeling so good, and she thinks today's going to be the best day ever. But...uh oh...Kirk is getting pangs of anxiety. He looks like he's about to freak out. He told the guys that he has to have a very hard conversation. He said he's been thinking and he's had some doubts in the last couple days. He is so afraid of hurting her and he can't keep things going. I knew it...the kids comment freaked him out. He is terrified of this conversation because she doesn't see it coming and it is really going to kill her. Poor Carly! This isn't going to be pretty.

Kirk comes to find Carly because he wants to chat. She jokes "Oh no, should I be nervous?" He said, no. She jokes "Are you breaking up with me?"...oh honey, you have no idea...this is not funny.

He started out by thanking her for the last 5 weeks, because they've been the best he's had in a long time, and it's because of her. He said he fell, and she made him feel, which caught him off guard. Talking about the future, and her being willing to move caused him to take a hard look at where they were going. He said he's a little behind where she's at...like a lot behind. He's not sure that he's where she is right now. She said she wanted to go home. He said that even though he's having doubts, doesn't mean that he doesn't want to stay and still talk about things. She asks if he's just been joking this whole time, and he said he wasn't. It was real for him. He said he respects and adores her and they've had something great. She said she doesn't want to have this conversation with him and she wanted to go home. She said he knows she runs, and so she's going to run. She asked him how long he's been feeling this way and he said the last week. She said she feels like he's been playing her this whole time. He begged her to stay and hear him out, but she ran off.

Kirk continued to try to talk to Carly, but she refused to talk to him and said she hated him. He said that was the worst breakup he's ever had. He was pretty upset that she was so hurt, because he never meant to hurt her like that. They both ended up leaving.

As sad and devastating as this is, let's keep in mind that they've only had 1 date and they've only been "a couple" for about 3 weeks. That said, I really feel bad for Carly. Kirk really shouldn't have been so silent when she was talking about wanting to have kids and move to be with him. He didn't really lead her on, but he didn't say anything to stop her from saying those things. He should have been honest and let her know that he wasn't ready to think about those things yet. By not really saying anything, she kind of (wrongly) assumed that he was agreeing with her.
