Big Brother, Ep. 17.5

Jace Freaks Out
Jace was definitely blindsided and caught off-guard by being backdoored. He was so visibly upset to the point he was almost crying. He had to put on his sunglasses to cover his eyes.

He clears the HOH Room to talk one-on-one to James. He said he thought they were good. He said he takes it personal because they talked and made deals. James tried to tell him that he didn't want to go up against him in competitions.

Audrey lied right to Jace's face and said she had no part in him ending up on the block. He didn't believe her for one second because he knows that she has bugs in everyone's ears. He knows that she is totally manipulative. He said if he goes home, he hopes the house catches on to her and sends her packing next.

Jace is not going down without a fight. He thinks he can rally enough support to keep him. He was telling this to Austin, and ended the convo with "I'll love you till forever." OK, that's just creepy.

Jace's biggest reason for staying was that he will always be a bigger target than everyone else. He got Liz and Vanessa to say that they would back him. Steve was super excited to give his support to Jace because he needs him. He made a big speech to about half the house and told them if they would support him that he would be indebted to them.

Audrey then decides to say that the entire house knew about the plan to backdoor him because he made them all uncomfortable. He said he doesn't believe that for a second and he knows he is up because of her. They got into a huge argument as he kept calling her a liar and she kept back-pedaling. He said if he stays he will be gunning for her, but she told him "you're going home."

I would love it if he could pull this off. The poor guy really was targeted for no reason. Yeah, he's a big physical threat to win competitions, but so far, his social and strategic gameplay has been non-existent. Like Jace said, Jackie doesn't really bring anything to the game. I would much rather watch someone who is unpredictable. James really missed an opportunity by backdooring Audrey instead of Jace. She would have been totally blindsided! Now she knows people will be coming for and they no longer have the element of surprise. She is a much bigger game threat than Jace. Opportunity totally blown on that one James. I think you will regret it. She already has rubbed everyone the wrong way because she's too involved, she's been caught in some lies, and on her own, decided to bring more people into the alliance.

Twin Twist

We finally meet the twin of the house. Liz has a twin named Julia. As if Liz wasn't annoying enough (not annoying to Meg's level, but still kind of annoying), her twin, Julia is WAY MORE annoying! She seems really cocky and self-centered. They seem to be very different. This is going to be very hard for them to pass as only being Liz, I think. I actually don't even think they look 100% alike.

When they switch, they have 15 minutes to brief each other on what's been going on. They have lied to the house and have said that they only have an older sister. Meanwhile, both Shelli and Jeff have twins, and Audrey made the statement that she thinks someone is playing as a twin.

Jace's Last Stand
In his final plea, he definitely didn't hold back and let the whole house know that he had an alliance with James and he stabbed him in the back. He also made sure to throw out his Twitter handle and music accounts so people know where to find him.

The Votes
Jeff -- Jace
Da'Vonne -- Jace
Jason -- Jace
Audrey -- Jackie (wait, what?!?!)
Steve -- Jace
Liz & Julia -- Jace
Austin -- Jace (man, even his bro couldn't throw him a vote)
Meg -- Jace
John -- Jace
Clay -- Jace (OK, 2 things: (1) loved Clay and John's exchange in the hallway and (2) I know he's not wearing Audrey's shirt, so why was Audrey wearing this shirt earlier?)
Becky -- Jace
Shelli -- Jace
Vanessa -- Jace

He made quite the exit, with a roll out the door a la Willy Wonka. He was so psyched to see Frankie in the audience.

Jace said he told his friends not to vote his way so they wouldn't go down with him. He thinks whoever voted for him might have done it to throw suspicion back onto one of his friends for supporting him. He correctly guessed that it was Audrey.

He was so blown away to learn about the Twin Twist and had no idea it was Liz/Julia.

BB Takeover
Kathy Griffin is this week's takeover guest. Her twist is the "power of the last laugh". She will call on a phone inside the house. The 7th person to answer the phone will earn the power to keep 3 people from voting in the next eviction. Wow!
