Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 19.1 & 19.2

Here we go for Season 19!!! I can't wait for another great and exciting season! It should be interesting because there's a lot of people on this season that I've never heard of.

A new addition to the ballroom is 2-time champion, and sister of Derek, Julianne Hough. She guest judged the last couple seasons, but this season she's joining the panel as a full-time judge. It will be interesting to see how this affects the overall judges scores. Instead of 30 points, there will now be 40 judges points available.

Antonio & Cheryl - ChaCha
Cheryl knows what she's doing. Antonio is hot, so she's really going to use that to her advantage this season. I love the Enrique Iglesias song they used for this ChaCha. Latin is definitely going to be his forte. This looked like it came so natural to him. Great opening number! Sure, he could have been a little looser, and maybe could have had a little better form, but for the first one, definitely pretty good.
Score: 25 (all 6s and a 7 from Bruno) I think that was really harsh. But, he was the first one out, so of course he was going to have low scores.

Lea & Artem - Foxtrot
She performed about how you would expect, if not a little better. She looked like she had pretty good form, and she didn't look nervous at all.
Score: 32

Janel & Val - Jive
How cute are they together?! She came out so strong and full out. The Jive is such a hard dance to start with. This had so many moves and it was so fast. The insiders were right...she's one to watch for sure. This was an awesome routine. Their chemistry is so good. Love them!
Score: 29 (all 7s and a 8 from Bruno) I think these were too low...should have been at least all 8s

Lolo & Keo - ChaCha
She started out marching very heavy. She looked very lost through most of the dance and she had a very blank look on her face like she was really trying to remember all the steps. I think she would have potential if she lost the nerves and loosened up. It wasn't the worst thing ever, but it wasn't great. She blamed it on the text message bubble not working at the beginning and it threw her off. She said she did it so much better in every rehearsal. Her disgusted and frustrated attitude was really off-putting.
Score: 22 (2 5s and 2 6s) Those scores were very generous

Betsy & Tony - ChaCha

This woman is a nut! I'm still not sure how she does what she does at 72...that's impressive. The song choice of Madonna's "Material Girl" is pretty appropriate for her. She's dressed like her too. They had a major wardrobe malfunction! There were racks of clothes and she tried to pull off a boa and it got stuck. More things came off the rack, and then her feet got caught in everything and they didn't really even finish the dance. She had a few moves, and then of course she threw in her signature cartwheel at the end. That was...ummm...interesting.
Score: 20 (all 5s)

Tavis & Sharna - Foxtrot
He brings absolutely nothing exciting to this show. I wouldn't be sad if he was the first one to go. He had a few moves, and he looked like he was enjoying himself, so good for him.
Score: 29 (all 7s and a 8 from Julianne) That score is generous

Sadie & Mark - ChaCha
She has so much personality! Being 17, she's one of the youngest to ever be on the show. But looking at her, you'd never know it! She may act 17 in rehearsal, but she dances like she's in her 20s. Her lines are gorgeous. She had so much sass and the dance just came to life. Very fun to watch! She's going to be one to keep our eyes on this season.
Score: 34 (2 8s and 2 9s) Awesome scores!

Michael & Emma - ChaCha
Well, he got through it. It was pretty slow and stiff, but he started to loosen up toward the end. There didn't seem to be much content to the dance. I really didn't know what to expect from him, since I have no idea who he is. He's got some humor, so that will help him a little.
Score: 25 (all 6s and a 7 from Carrie Ann) Again...those were generous

Jonathan & Allison - Jive
I love this Olly Murs song (I wish they would have played the original). He also got the tough Jive for his first dance. I think he did a decent job. He had a few good kicks and flicks, but I know they will say those needed to be bigger and sharper. He had a lot of energy, and he nailed the steps, so that's good. I think they make a really good pair.
Score: 30

Tommy & Peta - ChaCha
No words. The song "Drop it Like it's Hot"...oh my. For 76, he wasn't completely slow like an old man. He had a few moves and he could actually move his hips a little bit. I just hope he doesn't break a hp at some point. I would say it actually wasn't the worst of the night. Good for him! And Cheech was driving the car! Surprise!
Score: 27

Randy & Karina - Foxtrot
Here's another guy I wouldn't mind seeing go first. He seems like he has no personality. His dancing wasn't too bad, but he's very forgettable (especially since I've never heard of him before). Actually the more he danced, it was actually pretty good. He was very smooth and surprisingly light on his feet.
Score: 31

Bethany & Derek - Jive
She's another one with a lot of personality. And of course she's so cute with Derek. She had really good kicks and flicks. They were very fast and sharp like they should be. I look forward to future dances with this cute pair.
Score: 32 (all 8s)

Alfonso & Witney - Jive
OK, best of the night! Who didn't think that "Carlton" wouldn't come out as one of the best, seriously?! That choreography was ridiculous and it was so fast! Definitely a huge contender this season. He's got a lot going for him: (1) He's well-known for his character Carlton Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (2) His character had a famous dance: "The Carlton" (3) He's so darn likable (4) He has great musicality and natural dance skill. FABULOUS!! If he's this good on week 1, just think what he's going to do the rest of the season!
Score: 36 (all 9s!!! Highest score of the night!) Very well-deserved scores

The Results

In Jeopardy: Betsy & Tony, Michael & Emma, Lea & Artem, Lolo & Keo

As much as I'd love to see Lolo go home because I can't stand her attitude, and she just doesn't look like she'll be that good...I REALLY want to see more of Keo!

Bottom 2: Betsy & Tony and Lolo & Keo

Going Home: Lolo & Keo

I have to think that her poor attitude was a HUGE reason why people didn't vote for her.
