Survivor, Ep. 31.11

Orkun Camp
Lots of shocked reactions all around! Fishbach of course is over the moon! This was the ray of sunshine that he was looking for. He told Jeremy that he has his back. That's exactly what Jeremy wanted to hear. Jeremy told Spencer that he is fine and he doesn't want him to worry. He said he would have done the same thing for him. Spencer is pretty sure that he's being lied to. He thinks it might be time to jump ship.

I think, if after that bold move behind everyone's backs, if everyone doesn't sit back and think about seriously considering going after Jeremy, they will regret it. If this move goes "unnoticed" and they don't "deal with it", I think they are just handing the game over to him. They should be really scared right now.

Fishbach is annoyed at himself for being so out of the loop and totally not seeing that coming. He is shocked how blindsided he was. He thinks he knows the game so well and he had no idea what was going on for the first time in either season. His feet are beginning to get more infected and they look really, really horrible. They are swelling and he can't walk at all.

Reward Challenge...AT NIGHT!

What?! This is crazy! It's been a LONG time since they've done this!
Surivor Folklore - they will hear a story and they have to go through an obstacle course to get answers to questions. They can go to any station, in any order. They brig it back and unwrap the medallion - if it's wood it's wrong and if it's gold, it's right. First person to get 5 right wins reward.

Note to Joe: PLEASE! You do NOT want to win this one! You've won enough and you've eaten at rewards, so share and let someone else win. Plus, you don't want to have to pick people to come with you. It won't kill you to not win this one. Like Mike told you, let people see that they can beat you.

Keith is wrong and has to go back on the first one. He gets it wrong again on his second try. Joe gets his second one wrong (he's not invincible! ...or he's just not trying as hard).

Abi gets another one right - Jeff said she gets them all right, she's just slow.

Wentworth happens to see a tiny note in one of her medallions. She pulls it out and it says it's a clue to an idol. Really?! So Jeremy and Wentworth are the only people who can get idols this season?

Spencer in the lead with 3, and then gets #4. Joe missed a second time and is falling out of it (that's OK!)

Abi has a miss. Spencer has #5 and it is...wrong! Spencer and Fishbach with 4 and are back with #5. Fishbach unwraps his first and beats Spencer by seconds...again! Seriously?! Fishbach is proving to be Spencers nemesis this season!

Fishbach said he has some damage control to do and his alliance wasn't as strong as he thought it was. He chose Tasha. Then he chose Jeremy because, well, he saved his butt!

Spencer thinks Fishbach made a very dumb move taking Tasha and Jeremy, because it proves that they are really tight...tighter than he is with them. He thinks he might have to do something about it. That something should be a blindside of either Fisbhach OR Jeremy...in which the plan is not communicated to EITHER ONE OF THEM - because clearly, they are as tight as Fisbhach was with JT his first season. This is a dangerous duo that needs to be split up ASAP.

Orkun Camp
Wentworth reads a clue that tells her that the idol is hidden in the camp under the shelter. She has to decide if it's worth looking for it if she might be caught. She decides tomorrow will be a good time to look because 3 people will be away on reward.

Reward
Fishbach is looking forward to reinforcing his closest allies. He needs to work on Tasha because she wrote his name down, even though she was one of his first allies. He wants to be open with all of them, so he tells them what his advantage is! Whoa!

Of course, they all agree that the only wrinkle to all of their plans is...Joe. They say that as soon as he loses, he HAS to go! Nothing new here.

Orkun Camp
Joe said that Fishbach has thrown himself into the spotlight by who he chose to take on the reward with him. They all talk about what they should do. Keith: "So what IS our plan." Spencer says that Fishbach should go because of his advantage. Abi says that if he uses the advantage she will go home. She has a bright idea for Joe. "Why don't you let me win the challenge tomorrow?" Joe: "Um....no". LOL!!!! The look on his face was priceless. The look on hers says that she might have been seriously asking him. She said she wants to trust people, but Joe and Spencer are sketchy. She doesn't know if they are trying to play her...so she doesn't know if she wants to go with their plan or not. Oh Abi, if you screw this thing up...

Wentworth needs everyone out of the camp so she can look for the idol. Joe and Spencer decide to go fishing. Keith and Kimmi go to look for some snails and crabs. Then there's Abi. She will NOT leave the shelter! She said she was like a pest. Normally she goes for walks, but today, she won't leave for anything. Wentworth pretends to sleep hoping she will leave. It worked, she went to go lay in the hammock. The coast is clear, and there's the idol...but people are starting to come back! It was tied really well and she couldn't get it undone...but unfortunately, she does before anyone notices anything.

Immunity Challenge
Deep breaths...here we go...

Challenge: using their feet, they have to stack the blocks and place a flag
Last Run: Blood vs. Water II -- Keith and Jeremy both competed; Jeremy went home that night

Uh oh Fishbach...this will NOT be your challenge, will it?!

Wentworth is the first to get the blocks released, but everyone else follows quickly. Spencer is the only one struggling, and he's the last to get the blocks released.

Everyone is working pretty fast except for Fishbach. Jeff told Fishbach that his feet look prehistoric!

Spencer made up a lot of time. Wentworth is in the lead with Joe close behind. Spencer and Keith not far behind Wentworth and Joe.

Wentworth is struggling with the top row. Joe just knocked a couple over...oh no! Keith just knocked a bunch down!

Spencer is working on the top row and has 4 blocks and is in the lead. Somehow Joe fixed all of his and quickly catches up to Spencer. Spencer has 6 and Joe has 5. Spencer has them all and is working on the flag. Joe has one block left. Oh, I feel it coming...Spencer goes all around the hole. Meanwhile, Joe knocks one over and it's all over...SPENCER WINS IMMMUNITY!

Are the Survivor gods looking out for Joe? Looking for a miracle here! Just how dumb are these people, can we get one past them? Honestly, Joe is a huge threat...BUT they can't forget about Fishbach and Jeremy. They are just as big of a threat as Joe is. If Joe can really point that out, he could make a good argument to go after one of them. He can say that he's alone and everyone is out to get him, while Jeremy and Fishbach have each other.

On another note: way to go Spencer!!! If Joe couldn't win it, there's no one else I would rather have that necklace than him.

Orkun Camp
I can't believe that Joe has been safe for 29 days. Literally, his tribes never went to Tribal, and then he's had individual immunity every other time. I don't know that that's ever happened.

I know Joe will go eventually, but I would really like Joe to get Fishbach out first.

There is a slight ray of hope in that, Wentworth wants to get out Fishbach. Her alliance of 5 is going that way...they say. You know...she has an idol...wouldn't it be so great if she played it for him?! I know, she's not that dumb, but man would that be a great twist!

Fishbach tells Joe that they are all voting for Abi. Joe said he thinks that she thinks she's going home. Abi didn't seem to believe Fishbach when he said they were going for Joe. She tells Wentworth that she doesn't know what she wants to do. Wentworth tries to reassure her that keeping Joe and voting out Fishbach is the right thing to do.

Abi and Spencer talk. He said she doesn't have anything to worry about. She said she is OK if it is her going. He said she isn't going home and she needs to be on board. He is afraid that she is going to panic and vote for Joe.

Wentworth said that if she senses that someone is not going with the plan "the idol will be coming out". Oh, please let it be so.

Uh oh...Fishbach tells Jeremy that he might use his advantage. He tells Spencer what the advantage is. This tells Spencer that this could ruin the whole plan. Holy crap...never before have there been so many variables in 1 Tribal Council! Literally ANYTHING could happen! I'm so nervous! I want to think Joe has a chance, but there are so many things that could go wrong.

Tribal Council
First thing Jeff says is that Joe is vulnerable for the first time. Don't point out the obvious please!

Keith says it's all about trust, but as Jeff points out, all the jury memebers thought they had trust and they were all blindsided.

Wentworth opens up her mouth and calls Fishbach out for taking alliance members on the reward. He said he is nervous because he was a target last time, and his advantage could cause people to be scared and want to split votes. I don't know how anyone can keep this straight! I would be like Abi, with a headache because it is all so much to consider!

Tasha admits that there is a shift going on and she said people need trust to get them to the ned.

Fishbach announces that he is going to use the advantage! Oh boy...here we go! He decides to steal Joe's vote. That's no surprise. So, Joe does not get to vote and Fishbach will vote twice. Joe is obviously a little devastated, but he said it's the game. I really, really, really hope there's a miracle here!

The Votes
We see Fishbach vote. He said he is voting for Abi, and with Joe's vote, he is voting for Joe...so Joe is voting for himself. OK, so why in the world would you do that? Why wouldn't you use both votes for Joe?

Joe
Abi
Fishbach
Joe
Abi
Abi
Fishbach
Fishbach
Fishbach

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!! I literally have no idea how this happened!!! What on earth was Fishbach thinking? I am VERY interested to hear his logic on this one. He wanted Joe out since Day 1, and then he has the chance to place 2 votes on him and he doesn't?! I'm going to have to head to Twitter to see if any former players have any insight. ...and the verdict is? No answers. :/

Playing this out, had Fishbach voted Joe instead of Abi, that would have given Joe 3 votes, which still wasn't enough to even tie. So...good thing for Fishbach that his votes didn't send himself home! He can at least feel good about that. He said on Twitter his mistake was an old school mistake: he trusted the wrong person. Gotta love that he truly appreciated the awesome blindside, as any true fan should. Way to be a good sport, Stephen.

So, Joe lives to play another day. I can rest easy that when he does go home, it will not be at the hands of Fishbach or his crazy advantage. He also proved the impossible: he could survive at least 1 Tribal Council without the immunity necklace around his neck. I'd say that is HUGE, especially at this stage of the game. With Fishbach AND Ciera gone, they are not going to let the opportunity slip by and Joe will be gone next time, guaranteed. His epic run will ultimately come to an end, and I have made peace with that. He's done more than anyone thought he could, and that's something he can be incredibly proud of. He will be remembered for years and years to come. I will root for him until the the day his torch is snuffed, and then I'm 100% #TeamSpencer!
