The group is now in Vietnam. Oh, so exciting. That would not be on my top 100 places to ever want to go.
1-on-1 Date: Renee
So maybe TODAY will be the day of Renee's first kiss with Juan Pablo. If it doesn't happen today, that should be a pretty big sign that this isn't going to go much further.
He takes her for a ride on a pedicab, which he is biking. That was a little weird. For their first stop, he takes her to a dress shop and she is going to get a dress specially made for her. She was really sweaty when the lady was measuring her, so he ran across the street to get a fan for her.
They also shop for the kids and get Ben a hat and Camila a little dress.
At dinner, Renee got to wear the dress, and it looked really good on her. They picked well.
The dinner conversation started around Ben's dad and their relationship. He loves to hear her talk about Ben. She loves to hear him talk about Camila. I think they are definitely, 100% on the same page as far as their kids, and kids in general go. Then it got a little awkward. It felt like she was really trying for a kiss. She was acting all hot again, so...he blew on her face. I kind of feel like he is finding every reason NOT to kiss her. I think with any of the other girls, he would have kissed her like 10 times already. He really seems to like her, so is it just because she also has a kid? Or does this mean that he actually has MORE feelings for her than the rest?
Obviously he likes her, and she gets a rose. And still...no kiss...yet.
To end the date, they make wishes on lanterns and hen release them in the water. Any guesses what her wish was?
Juan Pablo, in an ITM (In the Moment), says he really wants to kiss her, but because she has a son who is old enough to know what is going on, he wants to take his time. "So, it's not gonna happen."
Group Date
Sharleen, Chelsie, Cassandra, Clare, Kelly, Alli, Danielle, Andi, Kat
Time to pair up and get into some boats. It's pointed out that Clare doesn't have any friends in the house, so whenever it's time to pair up, she's the one who doesn't have anyone. So she ends up with Juan Pablo. Not a bad place to be. They end up getting stuck in their boat, and he decides it's a good time to make out. Of course everyone else sees, and is immediately jealous. The 8 of them kind of felt like they were on a date with each other, while JP and Clare were having their own date. Andi especially didn't like to see what was going on. She wanted the 1-on-1, and didn't really want to be on the group date, and this wasn't help things.
For lunch, they kind of invite themselves into a local family's house. They put on some traditional hats and they go out to the garden and start picking food and watering. JP looked so funny in his hat!
Andi talks to JP about her feelings of not getting a 1-on-1. He told her she got a group date rose before because he wants her to be here. That made her feel better.
The evening portion of the date, started out with some MAJOR alone time with Clare. It's a group date, but he takes her to his suite and they go into the pool. There was A LOT of kissing going on. Basically his group date that included Clare was more of a 1-on-1 than what he had with Renee. The rest of the group discussed Clare's behavior pattern on group dates and how they always end up about her.
Sharleen gets the next alone time, and she's already questioning the connection they have after being singled out before and made to feel special, and now she's just "one of the crowd again". He tells her she looks cute, and she asks if that's a good thing. Seriously? I do not think this girl gets complimented...ever. Because she seriously doesn't know how to take a compliment.
Andi's alone time again revolved around feeling uneasy about things and wondering why other girls are getting more 1-on-1 time before she does. Then they kissed, and suddenly she feels so much better.
The group date rose goes to: Clare. Cue the looks of death from the rest of the girls. And now, Andi is suddenly upset again and wondering what she is doing there. Boy that was a quick turnaround.
Just when you (and the girls) think the night's over...it's not. Clare just had so much fun in the boat with Juan Pablo, and then in the pool with Juan Pablo, that she just didn't quite get enough alone time on that date (even though she even ended up with the rose). So, she excuses herself from the girls back in their suite, tells the girls that she was going to bed. But, at 4 in the morning, she wants to go swimming in the ocean with him because she has never been swimming in the ocean. This brings back memories of when Courtney and Ben snuck off and skinny dipped in the ocean. Luckily, these 2 kept their suits on.
1-on-1 Date: Nikki
Their date is going to be repelling into a cave called "Hell". Of course Nikki is afraid of heights...gee they really know how to pick girls for these dates, don't they? But of course, she's willing to take a risk for love. She might "poop her pants" but she's going to try. They make it to the bottom, and of course, it wouldn't be a scary Bachelor situation without a completely fabricated and fed line of "even though we're in Hell, it feels like Heaven". Wow...can't get much cheesier than that.
The conversation in the evening portion of the date was a little weird...only because us viewers know more than Nikki does. Juan Pablo said he was really tired from last night. Nikki joked that it was because he couldn't wait for their date today. He laughed. We all laughed, because we knew that it was because Clare paid a visit to his room at 4 in the morning and they went swimming in the ocean and had a full on workout in the kissing department.
JP asks her why she chose her profession and she talked about her love of kids...blah blah blah. For some reason, I just don't really care. She said she's never dated someone with a kid, and she was a little skeptical at the beginning. But now, she's willing to take it on, and she knows that he is who he is because of having Camila. She said a lot of the right things, in that conversation, and I think she's setting herself up nicely to continue being a front runner. And with that, she gets the rose (no surprise there).
Cocktail Party
Clare is feeling great about the Rose Ceremony tonight. Renee is too...she thinks it would be the perfect time for a kiss. And then...he says 3 girls are going home...total silence. Andi can't do math. There are 11 girls with 3 going home, leaving 8 of them. She said 3 of the 8 of them are pretty much going home, which is pretty much half. Yeah, not quite.
Andi is the first with alone time. She wants him to teach her some Spanish. He teaches her how to say "give me a kiss", which is "dame un besito". Andi's now feeling pretty good.
Renee's next. JP tells her that he treats her so different than the other girls. He doesn't want Ben to be mad at her for kissing him. But I don't think he's thought about seeing this guy who's with him mom kissing a bunch of other girls. But...it finally happens...they finally kissed! She's so ecstatic, she starts spinning around like a little girl. But JP on the other hand, is now feeling confused. He's thinking about what he did with Clare the other night and how it wasn't fair to the other girls.
He tells Clare about his concerns about what they did and that it might not have been right or fair to the other girls. Clare got a little upset and she started getting emotional and said she felt silly. She said it's not about being fair, but it's also about going with what he's feeling. He said he was worried what Camila would think, and then she really felt horrible and looked like she was going to run away. He was trying to talk to her, and she kept looking away, and she was acting really immature. She was crying and and he wanted her to look at him, but she wouldn't. AWKWARD. She was making more out of it than what it should have been. He wasn't blaming her for anything, but he was basically saying he wanted to be more careful. He owned up to his part in the whole situation, but she felt like he was making it all about what she did.
Then Clare goes off and has "a moment", so of course JP goes after her. And there's more crying and more "look at me, look at me, look at me".
Rose Ceremony

Final Thoughts:
Anyone else surprised Danielle made it 5 episodes without getting a 1-on-1 and seemingly no meaningful time with Juan Pablo? Obviously she didn't have much to offer or we would have seen at least a little bit of their interactions with one another. Her time was coming, anyone could have seen that from a mile away with the non-existent edit she was getting. Did she ever even have one single ITM video either? I sure don't remember one.
I think we are finally to the point in the season where I know each girls' name just by looking at her, and by hearing her name I can picture which one she is from the group. Hallelujah!
