The gang travels to New Zealand
1-on-1 Date: Andi
So apparently, New Zealand is the perfect place for JP and Andi. Why? You're guess is as good as mine.
First, they take off in a speed boat as part of their adventurous date. The boat takes them down a river and then in the middle of the river, the driver said this is where they get out. This place is called "The Squeeze", and Juan Pablo is way over-excited. So, they have to wade through waist-high water into some creepy cavernous rocks. It's so narrow, they can barely fit. How funny would it be if he went the wrong way and they got lost/stuck? Eventually, they do make it to a waterfall and a hotspring. You know how romantic it is when people kiss under a waterfall? Well, this wasn't just a normal waterfall, they were being completely pummeled!
At the end of the date, they talk about how they both want a family and want to be in love. With that, he offers Andi the rose, which she obviously accepts.She also impresses him when she pulls out "Dame un besito".
Group Date:
Sharleen, Chelsie, Renee, Nikki, Kat and Cassandra
Cassandra's 22nd birthday is tomorrow and she really thinks she's going to get the on-on-one date. But...it's going to be Clare with the one-on-one. Cassandra just talked to Renee (aka "Mom") about missing her son and she was feeling good about things, but now, she's back to wondering why she's still there.
The group date starts out with them blowing into grass making noise. Ok. Then they head out into a field near some cows, and they are going to be rolling down the hill inside big giant bubbles called and OGO. That actually looks kind of fun. The recurring theme from this was that "THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!" Wow, how many times did they say that it was so fun? Nikki even got a kiss from JP inside the OGO.
The evening portion of the date, they hang out in a little hobbit house, like from The Lord of the Rings.
Renee gets the first one-on-one time. She tells JP about her talk with Cassandra and how they had a little meltdown of missing their babies.
Nikki is up next. She's ready to step outside of her comfort zone and let him know how she's feeling. She doesn't want to have any regrets. She tells him that she is totally falling for him.
Sharleen is next. They've moved right on from boring conversation right into just making out. I guess practice makes perfect. She wants to talk...him not so much. She tells him that the process is very inorganic for her and she has a lot of doubts. He tells her not to doubt, and kisses her again.
Meanwhile, the girls are celebrating Cassandra's birthday in the hobbit house. She is ready to open up to JP and she is hoping for a rose on her birthday, because that would be the best gift ever. You get how they're hyping this up don't you? Anyone who's ever seen the show before can tell you exactly what's going to happen, even if you didn't know the spoilers ahead of time.
Finally, it's Cassandra's turn. She tells him how much she appreciates him as a father and she's ready to share her love with him. She says he's a great guy, and he moans, he's seeming disinterested.
Time to hand out the rose, and it goes to Cass....nope...it's Sharleen. She did nothing on that date to deserve the rose, but I guess he likes her kisses. Then JP wants to talk to Cassandra...uh oh...here it comes...
He sits down and asks her how she is...um didn't they just talk a couple minutes ago? He says she's one of his special ones (Renee is his other special one). He said he's been thinking and he doesn't want her to wait 2 more days to see her son, so she should go home now. What a bummer to get sent home on your birthday. He said later that he just didn't think their connection was strong enough, and he is feeling more for the other girls. He said he thought that now was the right time for her to go and be with her son.
The girls were shocked when he came back in alone. Renee was really surprised. She had grown close to her and she had said that if she didn't get the rose that she hoped that she would because she could really use it about now.
1-on-1 Date: Clare
Apparently he didn't get enough of Clare on their "secret" one-on-one. Not to mention that this is officially her 2nd one-on-one. This could be awkward after their last conversation. He really hurt her feelings, and he didn't really get it how much he hurt her. The date is them just sitting on a blanket. He apologized that she was upset and he didn't want her to feel that way. She was happy he apologized but she still had a lot of questions. She wanted to know what the boundaries are. He said that he should have told her "no" to going swimming, but he was afraid to hurt her feelings. She wished he would have been honest with her from the beginning about it. To me it seems like they are just talking around each other. I don't think either one of them will fully understand where the other is coming from on this.
Their evening discussion is more of the same. I'm pretty bored with this. I don't feel like they're saying anything new, it's just the same thing over and over. Then they talked about liking simple and comfortable. She changes into some "Hammer" pants, and JP can't stop talking about how hot she is. So..she gets the rose...big surprise.
Cocktail Party
Nikki gets the first one-on-one time. She's nervous because this is the first time in a long time that she doesn't have a rose going into the Rose Ceremony. She isn't too worried because she doesn't think any of the other girls have the same connection with him that she does. He does a little twirl for her and tells her he's wearing pink underwear. What? Strange conversation.
Renee is up next. She's also nervous because she is now the only Mom left. He had her pegged right away, by saying he thought she might be nervous after him letting Cassandra go.
Chelsie said she's at a point in her life where she knows what she wants and she says she wants to stay because she sees potential with them. She was worried because she hasn't talked to him for awhile and it's been a really long time since their one-on-one date. But, she got reassurance of their relationship from their conversation.
Kat talks about how she's been journaling about this experience. She talks about her dad growing up has caused her not to open up to guys because he was never around. She said her dad was passed out drunk and she remembers crawling into her sister's crib. She was glad that he let her share and he just listened to her story.
Rose Ceremony
The order the roses are handed out: Nikki, Renee, Chelsie
Going home: Kat, and Cassandra who was sent home before the Rose Ceremony
Sharleen is confused and feels guilty. She's feeling more doubtful every week and she thinks the other girls are more suited for him. She said she's going to give it another week to see if she sees what is missing. Again, foreshadowing of things to come...
