Season 24 begins, and we have another All-Star season. For the first time, we have some 3-time competitors. It should be another great, exciting season of racing. In case you missed it, here is my preview article with a list of all the competitors and bios.
The 11 teams begin the race in Los Angeles. The racers all convene and are ready to start, when Phil informs the group that a team had to pull out for medical reasons. That team was Bopper & Mark. Bopper has an inflamed pancreas, and if they continued he could potentially die. Phil tells Mark that if he wants to race, they will find him another partner to race with. Bopper tells Mark that he should do it, so he agrees. Mark will be racing with another former racer Mallory, who is also from Kentucky. Mallory competed with her father Gary in Season 17, where they finished 6th, and again in Season 18, where they finished 3rd. Normally, there are tears at the end of the race, but this time, there were tears all around at the beginning of the race for Bopper.
The racers finally take off, and they are headed to China. They first have to find a band member on a football field with matching Chinese symbols on their hats. 2 Express Passes will be awarded to the winners of the first leg.

Once in China, they have to go to one of three dress stores to look for the next clue. Each store has a limited number of clues. I think it's funny that the Twinnies and the Afghanimals aren't getting along. They could be funny as the race progresses. They sort of work together to find the dress shops, but end up going in circles and pretty much just getting lost. I'm glad that one of the twins has colored her hair a different color...now to figure out which one of them it is, so we can tell them apart for the rest of the race. Caroline & Jennifer show up and they split off with the twins. Soon after Leo & Jamal find the right store.
Caroline & Jennifer, Jessica & John and Joey & Meghan fail to make the first train, and are now trailing the other 8 teams. Soon after people from the 1st flight are seeing people from the 2nd flight, which was an hour behind.
They have to go to a bubble ride that is on top of a really high building. Each bubble has a sign, and most of them say "Try Again", so they have to go the whole way around, and then get in another car. Jet & Cord and Brendon & Rachel pick the right one the first time around and are now in 1st and 2nd place, while the other teams try again. Leo & Jamal join awhile later and pick the right one on the first try. Dave & Connor saw the Cowboys (Jet & Cord) get out of bubble 16 and knew they picked correctly, so the next time around, that was the bubble they picked. That was some smart thinking!

Road Block: Head Over Heels--Perform 5 high-wire flips 300 feet in the air
They have to wear the costumes and everything.
Cord and Brendon are the first to get there and try it out, and finish 1, 2 at the pitstop.
Unfortunately, since the airing was delayed, I missed what happened at the end of the race. I purposely tried to record the next show after so I'd be sure to get it all, but unfortunately, it didn't record and by the time I realized it wasn't recording, and I caught up live, it was only in time to see that Natalie & Nadiya were eliminated.

Bummer! The twins are kind of annoying, but still funny. I'm sad to see them go so early. I would have much rather had it have been Joey & Meghan to go.
