Back in Miami...

1-on-1 Date: Sharleen
JP stops by the girls' suite and hand-delivers Sharleen's date card to her. Again, another awkward exchange, as she looks at him disgustingly, like "why me?". She's like "um...OK...if I have to...I guess I'll go." She definitely can't put on an act. What you see is what you get with her. Which I guess is a good thing, but geez, it comes off so poorly, and so holier-than-thou. As a preview for the date, we hear Sharleen continuing to talk about how something is missing and how she's not ready for him to meet her family. This is a major set-up for what is to come.

The plan for the date is a day on a yacht. The date starts out weird, and they talk about whether or not she seems uptight. I swear, they have the weirdest conversations. They start making out and she tells him he is trouble. And then there's more awkward making out, and "fake-out make-out", which is a term I just made up for when she stopped kissing him and froze about 1/2" from his face and sort of acted like she was kissing him when she really wasn't, and then he kissed her on the nose a couple times. I don't get it...it's just weird, and it's just so uncomfortable to watch.

She really is confused because as much as she says she's not sure why she's still there and that they just don't get each other, she says that they are just so easy together and she's surprised by how much she is attracted to him. She now says that it's been a long time since she's clicked with someone like that and that she doesn't want it to end.

Juan Pablo is not as confused. He told his family that he thought she could be the one (I'm sure they edited out the parts where he also mentioned each of the other girls being "the one" as well). He seems to love everything about her and every answer she gives him. However, he obviously isn't seeing what she's REALLY saying behind some of the things she's actually saying. He obviously has no idea how "on the fence" she is about even being there. He's about to be in for a real shocker.

He asks her if she's ready for him to meet her family. She pauses and says "I think it can work", and other than hearing her pause, he responds with "I like how you're smiling". She says she wished she was dumber because things would be easier. That was a weird thing to say. He tells her he wants her to be honest with him and she sighed in agony. In her ITM, she says that it just doesn't feel right.

The date ends and she runs to mama Renee for advice. She's freaking out because she was hoping for a more black and white feeling. Part of her thinks she should stick around and see what happens because he could be the one. She has a hard decision to make: to stay or to go, that is the question.

1-on-1 Date: Nikki
JP has a big surprise for Nikki. She is going with him to Camila's dance recital. She was shocked and very nervous that she was going to be meeting his family already. And you can bet there are going to be 5 (or maybe 4) girls who are going to be very jealous and upset that Nikki of all people, is getting to meet the fam first. And how awkward that Camila's mom was there as well, with his mom and dad. That could not have been more awkward meeting his family for the first time, while his ex, and Camila's mom is there too. They really didn't interact much at all. Crisis averted, as it could have been a really bad situation, but didn't turn out to be so bad after all. Still, I think it was pretty risky, and kind of irresponsible to introduce a strange woman to his daughter, when he's still "dating" 5 other women.

Later they go to Marlins stadium, where he works, and he takes her out to the outfield. They play a little catch. I totally expected a wardrobe malfunction while she was throwing because her VERY low cut top was barely covering what it needed to to begin with, and then the throwing motion...I kept expecting a slip from one side or the other.

As they chatted on the field, she really acted like she was going to tell him that she loved him. She said earlier that she didn't think she was ready to do it yet. She asked about his relationship with Carla, Camila's mom, and he said they are friends and she is OK with everything. By the end of the night, the closest she got to telling him was that she told him that she really wanted him to come to her hometown.

Girl Meeting/Decision Time
Sharleen calls all the girls together to tell them that she's conflicted. And with hometown's being next week that she doesn't think that it's fair to take one of their spots. She's sad because she knows that they have something between them, but she feels like she's doing the right thing. The rest of the girls didn't say much other than asking if she was sure she wanted to leave.

She then left to go talk to Juan Pablo. The girls all think that JP is going to be very shocked.

She goes to his room, and he is surprised to see her. In true Sharleen fashion, instead of doing what most girls would do, which would be to greet him with a hug, she barely looks at him, and pushes past him in the doorway and walks into the room. She actually looked like she was trying not to touch him at all as she walked past him.

He asks her what happened, and she sits on the couch, not looking at him. She whispers, and you can barely make out what she's saying...so much so that they have to put up words on the screen. She said she doesn't want to take someone's spot. She says that she doesn't feel like this every day and it's so hard for her. She won't even look at him because she doesn't want to cry. He handled the whole situation extremely well, considering how strongly he felt for her. She was a mess though, and he basically had to force her to look at him. She felt bad that she had wasted his time. He said she didn't waste his time because he was glad that he met her. He said the only thing that made him mad was that she didn't sing more for him.  That wasn't really how I expected things to go, but then it's Sharleen, so I guess it should have been expected.

After she left, he said she would have gotten a hometown. But he was so glad that she was honest and he respected her for having the guts to do what she did.

Group Date
Andi, Renee, Chelsie and Clare

They go to a private beach for the day. There is a rose up for grabs, and the person who gets the rose will have private time with him in the 2nd part of the day.

Chelsie shares letters from home with Juan Pablo. He loved them and said that it sounds like she has a really cool family.

Andi breaks down on the beach because she was feeling vulnerable. She said she has a fear of failure, and is worried that he could be meeting her family, but in the end they might not end up together.

He asks Clare who he will be meeting if he goes to her hometown, and he says he really wishes he could have met her dad. She tells him about the video that her dad made for her future husband before he died.

JP decides to give the rose to Andi. He chose her because he knew for sure he wanted to meet her family. Clare again was let down because she assumed she was going to get the rose. She said the people who are getting the dates and the roses are the people who doubt themselves the most. So that makes her wonder what the f*** she's doing here.

House Awkwardness
So, the girls go home and Andi and JP take off for Atlanta. Clare says she wants to hang out with Nikki like she wants to get stung by a jellyfish. The girls tell Nikki why they are back and Andi is not, and there is nothing but silence. AWKWARD!

Clare and Nikki get into it when Nikki said things were awkward in the room and some of the girls were laughing and Clare "checked out". Clare said she didn't check out, but she wasn't going to be fake and act like she was having a good time or that she wasn't disappointed to not still be on the date. Nikki then gets up and leaves the room. Clare isn't OK with that so she goes after her. She's tired of Nikki getting away with just being a bitch all the time. Clare asks her why she left, and Nikki said because she thought they were going to start talking negatively about her friend Andi, and she didn't want to be part of the conversation. Clare didn't understand because no one said anything and didn't know why she would think that that was where the conversation was heading. Obviously, she just doesn't like the other girls and doesn't want to spend any more time with them than she absolutely has to. Clare said that Nikki was laughing when they were talking about not having roses and when Nikki tried to talk, Clare snipped at her and said "don't cut me off". Nikki stated the obvious "we're never going to like each other". Then she said "you can just excuse yourself from my room." Well, Clare didn't care for that too much and said that the whole place was "their" suite. At this point, the whole thing is just childish. Clare told Nikki it wasn't her room. Nikki countered with "is your stuff in here". Clare said Nikki didn't pay for the room, to which Nikki replied "did you"..."no"..."did you?". Wow...how old are we? Clare said she wanted to make sure that something she said didn't offend Nikki. Nikki said she wasn't offended and the reason she left the room wasn't because of Clare and that it had nothing to do with Clare. She said not everything always has to be about her. Clare said that she was making sure that Nikki was OK, and Nikki was right in saying that she did that to make herself feel better because she was afraid she hurt Nikki's feelings.

Clare really didn't need to go talk to Nikki, and if she was going to, she needed to have a better, more adult argument than what she did. It was pretty pointless. I actually thought Nikki handled the whole situation pretty well. The best line goes to Nikki though: "Clare's like a dog. She peed on him first. She claimed her territory. The fact is she claimed some territory that might not be hers." Wow.

Cocktail Party
Nikki starts to get really cocky. She pretty much knows she's getting a rose and doesn't really care what the other girls think. The other girls try to engage in some stupid conversation about what jewelry they wear, and what jewelry they wear all the time. They asked her if there was jewelry that she wears all the time, and she said she's just not sentimental about things like that. The rest of the girls seem disgusted with her answer. They don't know why she won't ever join in any other their conversations. I'm thinking it's probably because their conversations are pretty pointless and stupid, so I guess I'm with Nikki on that one.

The girls hope that he sees her for who she really is, and they think he will because she won't be able to hide her negativity forever.

Nikki thinks Clare is just jealous because sees the connection that her and Juan Pablo have. Clare doesn't think Nikki is ready to be a step-mom, and thinks that she's just a negative brat. Eventually the rest of the girls walk away and it's just Nikki and Clare sitting in absolute silence staring off into the distance and down at their laps for an EXTREMELY long time. And I mean a long time. Even as some of the girls returned to the couches, it was so awkward and quiet.

Rose Ceremony
The order the roses were handed out: Nikki, Clare, Renee

Going home: Sharleen and Chelsie

He was very visibly upset about letting Chelsie go. The girls whispered "such a mistake" to each other, obviously meaning that Nikki should have gone home.

Next week: hometown dates with Nikki, Clare, Renee and Andi
