Survivor, Ep. 32.10

Days 25-27

Dara Camp - After Tribal
Scot is ecstatic about how well Tribal went. None of them had to play their idol and the other side went after one of their own.

Tai gives Jason the idol that he gave him, back to him. He said he doesn't have room for it. Wow. Tai could have had ALL the power!

Jason said their psychological warfare did exactly what they wanted. I'm worried - these 3 are way too cocky and they feel way too safe.

Dara Camp
Tai tells Scot that they should try to bring the camp back together and extend an olive branch. Scot agrees. He never wanted to be like Russell Hantz and do the kinds of things that he did, but he had to make a point that they weren't going to succeed without them.

He talks to Aubry and tells her that they want Cydney gone because she turned on them for no reason. He said if that's what everyone else can get on board with, things at camp can go back to normal. She said this was a soft command from him, saying basically that things will be good if he gets what he wants. It was served up like a birthday cake with lots of sugar to make it come off sweeter than the actual message really was. She said she is not going to work with them, but she will let them think she is going along with it.

Reward Challenge
Challenge: balance a board with their foot; on the board is a pot that they have to balance
Reward: choose to play for food, love (letters from home), or for an advantage (mystery)

They will only be playing against people who are playing for the same reward. So there will be 3 winners.
Advantage: Tai, Cydney, Aubry
Food: Scot, Jason, Michele
Love: Julia, Joe

Love: Joe is out first, and Julia wins her letters

Food: Scot is out first in the food category. Jason is out, so Michele wins food

Advantage: All 3 people in this category are the only ones left. Come on Tai, we don't want Cydney or Aubry getting this advantage! And Cydney is out! Aubry said she wants to win this to prove to herself that she can win this game. 10 minutes in, and it's still Tai and Aubry. Aubry is moving her board up and down quite a lot almost on purpose to stretch. She then wobbles and saves it more than once, very incredibly. Finally, it was too much for her, and her pot drops. Tai wins!

Dara Camp

Tai goes off by himself to read his advantage. He goes to treemail where he gets his advantage. He has earned an extra vote. Whoa! He can use it anytime until there are 5 people left.

Julia got to read all of the letters from her family. She got really emotional, just as everyone does with the letters from home. She realizes she is here to play, and here to win. She needs to make some moves.

Julia talks to Aubry and Michele. She said the guys flaunting their idols in front of everyone was stupid. She said they need to flush the idols, but she does still want to honor her alliance with Scot and Jason. Julia says they should all vote for Tai and if he doesn't play an idol, he is gone. If he plays an idol, then Cydney is out because that's who the guys are voting for, and then they have one idol gone. They only need to worry about not letting Tai win immunity. Aubry thinks that Julia makes a lot of sense and she can respect the good game that she is playing. However, she is not sure that she wants her still in the game because of how well she is playing.

Tai and Aubry talk about the game. They both have doubts about how well they are playing the game and feeling overwhelmed by how big the game is. It's hard to know when to trust your head, when to trust your heart, and when to stop thinking. They seem to have a lot in common and it would be great if they could work together. She said she wants him to know that Julia is gunning for him. She also wanted him to know that they have more in common than he does with Jason and Scot. He said he was excited that she was on his side. He said she would be a great addition to his alliance with Scot and Jason. He thinks they will like this partnership, and if they do everything is great. Something is telling me that they might not. I'm watching this episode a day late, and I've tried to avoid spoilers, but something is telling me that it is Scot who is going home, so I'm thinking there is going to be some kind of conflict here, and Tai is going to choose sides and it's not going to be with the guys. We'll see!

Tai tells the guys what happened and how the girls are wanting to flush the idols. Scot says they should take Aubry out at the next Tribal. Tai feels like the guys don't listen to his ideas and he is not part of the discussion. He said he always participates, but they are so forceful with their ideas. Tai said he doesn't know what to do and he is feeling like an outsider. Scot said this is the smartest plan because no one will see it coming because everyone thinks they want Cydney out. Scot said this is the way to go because it wasn't an emotional decision, it is a strategic one. I think there is some truth to that. Aubry may not be a physical threat, but she is a threat to win this game if they keep her around. Cydney is a physical threat, but I think she is less of a threat to win because not that many people like her and she hasn't really made any moves in the game so far.

Immunity Challenge
Challenge: stretch arms out and press fingertips against a disc on either side; if fingers slip and a disk, the pots hanging from the disks with rope will break and you're out. Jeff said the challenge is designed to make your fingers go numb. When your arms get tired, there will be no way to keep enough pressure on the disks.

Using the fingertips will be hard. If you could use your palm or fist, it would be easy.

First out - Joe; after only a few seconds (maybe a couple minutes)
Second out - Scot (really Scot?!)
Third out - Julia (she had some good saves, but it wasn't enough)
Fourth out - Tai (he kept slipping and he was holding on with his fingernails!)
Fifth out - Michele
Sixth out - Cydney (wow I thought she was going to win)
Seventh out - Aubry

Jason wins immunity! Wow, that was a battle. Jason looked like he was going to be out several times. Aubry was digging with every fiber of her being. Jason said he wasn't going anywhere. She wanted that so badly and Jeff was screaming at her to dig deep. She finally just couldn't hold it anymore and again, she falls short of a win. I feel kind of bad for her - she was trying so hard!

Dara Camp
Jason thinks that he, Scot, and Tai are all in the clear. Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. He might be safe, and I think Tai is probably safe, but Scot - who has no idol - is vulnerable. Jason knows that they have the super idol so there is no way that any of them are going home.

Julia tells Scot and Jason that everyone wants to flush the idol, so the others are all voting for Tai. Jason tells Julia that they know that she is playing both sides and they are fine with that. He said that if she goes with them, they know they eventually have to blindside Tai because they know they can't beat him, and then they can be final 3. She feels like she is in a good spot because she, along with the girls are voting for Tai, and Scot and Jason want him gone eventually. She is super excited that they want to go to the final 3 with her because she knows that they have ruined relationships with everyone because of their behavior.

Aubry tells Cydney that they need to break up Jason and Scot. Cydney said they should blindside Scot because he is so confident and way too cocky. Aubry said she thinks she can get Tai to come with them based on the connection she has started to build with him.

Aubry talks to Tai again and she said she doesn't want him to go. Tai doesn't know what he wants to do and what will help him at the end of the game. He said he is a little afraid of Scot and Jason as a duo. Aubry asks him what he wants to do and what's best for him. He said his heart says he wants to work with Aubry and to trust her, but his head is telling him to stick with the boys because they have pissed off a lot of people and he has a good chance of beating them. Aubry said he has 3 people behind him and she wants him to do what makes him most comfortable.

Jason tells Tai that they wait to see who gets voted out and if it's one of them, they play the Super Idol. Jason gives his idol to Scot so that both Scot and Tai have an idol in their possession and if they don't have to play it, he gives it back. Tai seems really distant during this whole conversation. I think he is planning to ditch the boys :( He said he is not there to make good friends. Uh-oh. All the headlines I've seen mention things like you really can't trust anyone. This is looking like a major blindside.

Tribal Council
Scot said last week was a little bit of trash talking with the idols. He said tonight is going to be the same thing.

Aubry said she never knows what's going to happen with these 3 (Jason, Scot, and Tai). She said it's like running into a wall. Scot said they tried to tell her what was happening, but she didn't want to make a deal with them. Jason said there should never be an uncertainty about what's happening because they have made it known what is going on and they are very open about it.

Cydney said she is worried tonight because Jason and Scot are a little salty that she left them and went on a different ship. She said at this point in the game people are starting to think about who is your best bet to go up against in challenges. She said she hasn't won any. Jason said the ones winning the challenges are not the ones going home (him and Tai)..."and neither is Scot".

Jeff said Tai has been quiet tonight and wondered if it is because of the boasting. He said that's not the type of person he is, but this is war and he has to do what he needs to do to get far in the game.

Jeff asked Aubry about the challenge and if her effort was to prove that she might be more than just a brain. She said she had a moment in the challenge that will never happen in her life again. She's got an NBA player next to her and a war vet on the other side. She said she gave it her all, and in one second it was all gone. Jason and Scot both said she has been giving her all in every challenge and he sees that she has just as much brawn in her as in him. I thought that was a nice compliment. But it was also kind of a dig and telling people "hey, she's a threat, too".

Michele said things can happen in an instant and you better be on the right side of things when it does. Jason said that's what he's been saying since they walked in - if you caught wind of what's going down, it's smarter to be on the right side of that and get on board the train, or the world is going to be dictated to you.

The Votes
No idol played to begin...even though Julia whispered to Tai to play his.

Tai
Aubry

Scot

Here we go...Scot looks at Tai. Tai looks at Jason. Jason looks at Tai. Tai looks at Scot. AWKWARD! Yikes! This is not looking good! Tai shakes his head no and tells Scot he's sorry. Scot says "wow" and shakes Jason's hand. It's over. Holy crap!

Whoa...and I just realized...Scot has Jason's idol! Jason's idol just walked out of the game! Tai still has his, and Jason is now screwed and totally vulnerable. No more threat of a Super Idol either. Wow! To say that Jason is a bit upset that Tai turned on them is a huge understatement! He is out for revenge - watch out!
