Dancing with the Stars, Ep. 22.4

Theme: Disney!
I love Disney week! The pros always come up with the neatest routines for these.

We have a guest judge this week, and it is former DWTS celebrity, Zendaya. She was season 16's runner-up. Note about the scores: since there are 4 judges, there will be a total of 40 points possible tonight.

Antonio & Sharna - Jazz
Theme: Aladdin, "Friend Like Me"
He's got a tall order, as he is dancing with 4 male pros. I think he's going to kill it! He's such a cool cat! I don't think he's dressed like Aladdin at all, but Sharna's definitely Jasmine. I love watching him because he's always having such a good time. Boomin'!
Score: 35

Marla & Tony - Waltz
Theme: Ariel from Little Mermaid, "Part of Your World"
The special effects always amaze me. How do they make all those bubble look so real?! I figured she would do well with this dance. It's right up her alley. Other than the special effects, it was kind of boring though. I didn't think it was as fluid as Zendaya did. It seemed a little clunky in places.
Score: 28

Nyle & Peta - Samba
Theme: Tarzan
Yes! VERY shirtless Nyle...and not much covering down below! He's got some extensions and he's totally in character. He found a way to really connect to the character, and he said he's actually always connected with Tarzan. His rehearsal was hilarious as he was storming around the set. This is the most acting we've seen him do all season. He is KILLING it!!!! Was there any doubt? Look at those hips swivel! And we say it every week...HE CAN'T HEAR! There is so much beat to this song, and his is nailing every single one of them. Love the booty shake! He's having a blast!
Score: 34

Doug & Karina - Jazz
Theme: Mary Poppins, "Spoon Full of Sugar"
Uh oh, we know what happens when you try to use props. He busted one of his canes in rehearsal. OK, so how did they get Doug to come out of that carpet bag that Karina carried out?! He started out very out of sync with Karina and the cane-work, but he eventually found the beat. Definitely a fun routine! They ended up right on the judges' table and then he went back into the bag. How are they doing that?!
Score: 24

Kim & Sasha - Quickstep
Theme: The Jungle Book, "I Wanna Be Like You"
So much fun! This is the perfect song to do a quickstep to because it is such a fast song! She did great. She had an absolute blast doing that.
Score: 32

Jodie & Keo - Cha Cha
Theme: Zootopia
Loving the purple outfits! Her legs and hips were great. She looks like she might have gotten lost for a second, but Keo brought her back. She looked like she was having a blast. Even with the mess-ups, she kept smiling and the mistakes didn't show on her face. I loved the dancing gazelle! I didn't think that it was as bad as the judges were coming down on her for. Carrie Ann called it "underwhelming", but yet Len disagreed (shocker!).
Score: 27 (then Len gives her a 6, while Carrie Ann gave a 7)

Von & Witney - Viennese Waltz
Theme: Cinderella, "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes"
She looks absolutely stunning as Cinderella! And that dress is gorgeous! Look at Vonn just floating! His posture looks great. He's got a great arm extension. What a lovely performance! She really did turn him into Prince Charming. And side note: the carriage is the carriage used in the movie!
Score: 32

Ginger & Val - Foxtrot
Theme: Beauty & the Beast, "Little Town (Belle's Song)"
Oh Val, the ponytail! Ha! She makes a great Belle. So cute! What a great routine. I was so swept up int he characters, that I didn't really notice much of the foxtrot.
Score: 36

Wanya & Lindsay - Samba
Theme: Lion King
I love the power in the beats! She is a very cute little lioness and he looks like the king of the jungle (I said it before Zendaya!)! Every week he really surprises me with how nimble and quick he is. His musicality is great. And he nailed those samba rolls! I think those are the first ones of this competition that anyone has even attempted! That was awesome! I love Lindsay's hair!
Score: 35

Paige & Mark - Quickstep
Theme: Toy Story, "You've Got a Friend in Me"
Leave it to Mark to come up with another fun and creative routine. I love the giant toy box and the "little" green men. I will say that this is probably his most toned-down outfit we've seen him do. They looked like they were having so much fun. She, of course, danced it great. I loved the end where they fell down as dolls. Cute!
Score: 36

Results

In Jeopardy: Marla & Tony, Jodie & Keo
Going Home: Marla & Tony

Whew! That was close! Marla is the only one (other than Doug) that I could stand to lose right now! I don't know how Jodie keeps ending up in jeopardy. She is such a popular TV icon, why aren't people voting for her? She's going to have her work cut out for her because she's near the bottom of the leaderboard this week, along with Doug. It looks like it will most likely be one of them to go next week.

Week 4 Leaderboard

Ginger & Val - 36
Paige & Mark - 36
Antonio & Sharna - 35
Wanya & Lindsay - 35
Nyle & Peta - 34
Kim & Sasha - 32
Von & Witney - 32
Marla & Tony - 28
Jodie & Keo - 27
