The Bachelorette, Ep. 10.7

Brussels and Ghent, Belgium

1 on 1 Date: Marcus
They take a carriage ride through the city, and then do some shopping. We don't really see a whole lot happen on the day portion of the date other than Marcus talking about writing in his journal and Andi talking about how surprised she was when he told her that he was thinking about leaving.

At dinner, they don't really talk about anything new. It must have been boring, because the airtime seemed so much shorter than what we normally see. Either that, or, there's some major drama coming up on the group date or the pre-Rose Ceremony cocktail party that they didn't have enough time to show more of their date. Speaking about boring...there wasn't even a private concert at the end! They just kissed a little bit, and that was it.

Andi says that Marcus has everything that she's been looking for in a man, and he's a MAN.

Nick's Self-Made One-on-One Time
And...speaking about drama...guess who?! It's Nick. He decides he needs to make something happen, and he knows Andi is also staying in their hotel. So, what does he do? He goes to the front desk and says "I forgot my room key." Then, he says, "I don't remember my room number, but it's under my wife's name, Andi Dorfman." Slick move, and he gets away with it...they give him a key! Luckily, he knocks on her door and doesn't just let himself in. No surprise, she was shocked but really happy to see him. She wondered if everything was OK. He said yes, and asked her to go on a walk. She was impressed that he was willing to take a risk and be bold to come to see her. It sounds like she wishes all of the guys would have done the same thing. He was really nervous, and he told her that he has thought to himself that he was going to marry her.

1 on 1 Date: Josh
Another very similar date...exploring the city. The most unique thing they saw was a parade of geese. That was just strange...but kind of cute. Their conversation is also very boring, and they don't really talk about anything important. She wishes he would open up more.

They have dinner in a castle  She's hoping that he starts to share how he's feeling, otherwise she doesn't know if she wants to go to his hometown. He tells her that he doesn't like seeing her talk to other guys. She asks him about his family and what kinds of questions his family will ask her, and of him. She asks what he will say to them. He said, "I don't know. I'll tell them how I feel about you. I'll tell them the truth." Could he be more vague? But then he says "I'll tell them I'm falling in love with you." And finally, there it is! He almost ran himself out of this race if he wouldn't have spoken up.

The date ended with a pretty serious makeout session in what looked like a dark alley. And then, like magic, they are serenaded by an unknown group called American Young. Where do they find these acts any way?

Group Date: Brian, Chris, Dylan, Nick
Nick is happy that he will never have to go on another group date after this one.

They go for a ride on a rail bike, which is 4 bikes hooked together with a cart in between. Andi was siting in the cart while the 4 guys pedaled. Nick thought it would be fun to do rhymes, and they each said a line rhyming with what the last guy just said. It's nice to see that he isn't a complete sour puss on this date.

Chris is first to get one-on-one time. They make some stuff out of clay, but let's face it, they didn't really make anything...they just got each other covered in clay.

Brian decides to lay it all on the line on his one-on-one. He said he is excited for her to meet his family. He also thinks he's falling in love with her 100%, and he's never said that to anyone before.

Nick fights all urges to kiss Andi, but only because they are on sacred ground at a monastary.

She precedes the giving of the group date rose by saying it is the most important rose so far. Whoever she gives it to gets to stay on the date. The others have to go back to the hotel. It also means that they are one of the 4 who will be taking Andi to their hometown.

And the rose goes to...the worst one of the group (of course)...Nick
Of course the guys aren't happy because they all can't stand Nick. Let's just say there was a lot of cussing going on in their limo ride back to the hotel. They think he's wrong for Andi, that he's not there for the right reasons, and that she could do better than him. He, of course, knew all along it was going to be him. He thinks that by getting the rose, she is basically telling him that she loves him.

The rest of the group date turns into a one-on-one with Nick. I honestly don't really know what they were talking about. I wasn't really listening because he disgusts me. She did surprise him with something that she thought would "blow his mind". Fireworks. Yeah, mind=blown.

Back at the hotel, the 3 guys join Marcus and Josh and they tell them what happened. They all speculate as to why Nick is really here. They all agree that if he makes the final 2, that he will walk away because he doesn't really want to be with her in the end. They think he has other intentions.

Nick comes back from his one-on-one. The silence when he walked in the room was just really awkward. No one said anything for at least a minute. You could hear all these little noises going on in the background like the clock. Josh made a really fake cough, like he was signalling one of the guys to start talking. That was weird. Then finally, Brian speaks up and calls Nick out for being so certain that he was going to get a hometown date. Marcus said that he likes to get in their heads because he knows it bothers them. He said he wouldn't trust him with his sister. They all agreed that he knows the "game" because he knows so much about previous seasons of the show, and therefore knows what to do and say to stay. Chris says that he talks a lot more about strategy than he does about Andi. Nick just explains that they all handle things differently.  He said he's being sincere about thinking about Andi 24/7.

Cocktail Party
Chris, Brian and Dylan all know that it's most likely coming down to 2 of them going home, so it's more important than ever for them to get some one-on-one time and make a lasting impression.

Nick is at it again. He doesn't care if he has a rose, he's tired of seeing Andi with other guys, so he's going to do something about it. He interrupted Brian's time.

When Nick was done, Chris pulled her aside again because he realized there was something else he needed to talk to her about. She figured there was a car waiting outside and he was leaving. But no...he just wanted to kiss her. We know she loves this sort of thing, so if there was any chance of him going home tonight, that probably just saved him. She said "you go farmer".
