Survivor, Ep. 31.5

Angkor Camp
Woo is hoping that they can postpone another trip to Tribal now that they have a strong team. Um...Woo...you still aren't that strong. And did someone just say Varner was "in a better place"? Wait...did he die? Did someone kill him? What an odd thing to say.

Abi hopes she didn't make a mistake by keeping Woo over Savage. She said if he writes her name down, "he's dead to me". Classic Abi.

Woo shared a very emotional story about his mom. He is playing the game for her because she got a second chance at life with a heart transplant. This story of course, annoys Abi. She thinks he was using the story to get sympathy from everyone. Abi said she had a tendon transplant in her knee, so maybe she should share that. Wow...yeah, that's totally the same. Abi whines to Tasha about Woo's story. Tasha went along with what she was saying, but inside it was so hard for her to keep her cool. She said it is hard work to deal with Abi all the time. Everything always has to be about her.

Bayon Camp

Time to go fishin'! The girls are the gatherers on the tribe apparently. You go girls! Monica and Kimmi fight over how many more clams to take. Kimmi wants to eat, but Monica thinks they are depleting their food source and there won't be anything left. Kimmi says Monica is wearing her patience very thin. And there's the Kimmi we remember. I think this is the first time we've heard her talk all season!

The growth of young man, Spencer. He is really enjoying Survivor this time around. He made his first spearfishing kill. It was something he watched the big guys doing it for years, but never thought he could do it himself, being just a geeky kid. It was a nice moment with him and Jeremy. But what was with the "boat" they were in. It looked like a big wicker basket. I'm surprised that thing even floated with them in it. It reminded me of something you would see on that old show Japanese game show, MXC Most Extreme Challenge. It really was quite laughable! But hey, it worked apparently.

Ta Keo Camp
Funny how the tribe who already had hammocks wins some more.

FINALLY! Joe is talking some game! Him, Keith, Kass, Ciera, and Kelley talk about a final 5 alliance. Joe proves again that he's not that good at it. He comes right out and says the first time he played they all wanted to vote him out first because he was a threat. Way to state the obvious, Joe! Hush! Luckily, they all seem to be on board with this plan about keeping Terry happy, but on the outs. They said they have no interest in getting him out. Keith is happy to have a solid group this time around because he didn't have that the first time he played.

Reward Challenge
Challenge: 3 members tied together with 4th member in the barrel being rolled and they collect bags with balls and then balls get rolled into holes.

Reward: comfort - chairs, pillow, blanket, tarp, and snacks; runner-up gets a tarp

This challenge was played in Blood vs. Water

Deitz and Kass sit out for Ta Keo, and Fischbach and Wiglesworth sit out for Bayon

Kelley, Woo, and Monica are in the barrels.

Monica is losing her tribe a lot of time...she is very slow at getting the bag down. Probst said it was like she was at a Sunday picnic for church. Man, Probst must have really worked on some of these insults because he is really letting them fly this season!

Keith is rolling for Ta Keo and Woo is rolling for Angkor. Bayon is still behind. Finally, Jeremy catches up to start rolling.

Ta Keo has 2 and Angkor has 2. Tied again at 3, and Jeremy still behind. Spencer comes in to take over for Jeremy. He immediately gets 3 in a row and they are all tied up at 4 a piece! Wow Spencer!

Ta Keo gets #5 and Keith lands #6! Nice job Keith!

Angkor and Bayon tied with 4. Angkor gets another one, and only 1 left. Woo lands #6 and wins 2nd place for Angkor.

Immunity Challenge
Challenge: climb up several large obstacles and launch bags at targets; they must switch out after a target is hit and everyone has to shoot at least once
This challenge was last played last season...Joe's team lost

Sitting out: Ciera and Kelley for Ta Keo and Jeremy and Monica for Bayon

Joe hits on his first shot! Spencer connects soon after! Savage hits.

Wiglesworth puts Bayon up 2-1. Angkor hits again. Keith keeps missing

Epic!!!! Fishback just aimed at the wrong target (they are color-coded, hello!) -- he connects and it counts! He scores for Angkor! The last tribe you want to be helping at this point! [After the show update: in an interview, Probst said before the challenge, Fishbach actually asked him what would happen if he hit another tribe's target! What an unfortunate, ironic bit of foreshadowing. What's even funnier is that Probst said that in all the run throughs for the challenge that never even came close to happening, so no one thought it would ever happen. He said your aim would have to be incredibly off for that to happen. Nice going, Fishbach!]

Keith finally hits for Ta Keo.Tasha hits #4 for Angkor.

Abi is way off and gives up, Woo takes over to try to win it for them.

Bayon begs Kimmi to come down and Spencer comes in.

Woo connects and Angkor wins...oh no!

Spencer hits and Ta Keo and Bayon are tied at 3.

Joe going against Wiglesworth. Joe hits and they have 4.

Keith coming up for Ta Keo. Wiglesworth gives up and Spencer comes in. Keith hits #5 and Ta Keo wins immunity!

First trip to Tribal Council for Bayon. I can't believe Jeremy sat out that challenge. That was really dumb on their part. I'm hoping Spencer's bonds are enough to keep him safe.

Pre-Tribal
It comes down to Spencer or Wiglesworth...who's it going to be. Oh, I hate this! Why do the ones I like always have to be in trouble.

The big alliance doesn't think either Spencer or Wiglesworth have the idol. They aren't sure who they can trust more.

Spencer is trying his best to stay cool, but he can't help but ask over and over again if they are good and if the plan is still to get Wiglesworth out.

Kimmi and Monica are at it again and they can't agree on who should say. Kimmi thinks Monica is a loose cannon and she will be a liability. She tells the others that Monica is a snake in the grass and will be a flipper and she needs to go. Kimmi said that Monica told her they should keep Wiglesworth to keep the girls' numbers up. I could get behind this plan. Jeremy and Fishbach were kind of in agreement that this doesn't look good for Monica. Jeremy doesn't know what he's thinking. Fishbach told Jeremy that this would look bad for Bayon if they vote out one of their original members, for when they swap or merge. Kimmi thinks that keeping Spencer will benefit them because they will do what he says because he has no one.

I'm hoping this new revelation about Monica, paired with her comment at the challenge that it's not that bad to go to Tribal and it will help make their tribe stronger...will be enough for them to follow through with getting her out. Saying something like that can be prophetic about your time in the game...we'll see what happens.

Tribal Council
Loyalty, trust, and challenge strength are what they are looking for in the vote tonight. All of those things could be said about both Spencer and Wiglesworth. They all think the vote is locked in for tonight. I sure hope it's a blindside! I really, really, really, don't want Spencer to go!

So, Wiglesworth votes for Spencer and says she's sorry, but she's voting with the majority. Spencer votes for Wiglesworth and says she invented the saying "I'm not here to make friends", and she has more of them than he does. Ha! Good one!

The Votes
Wiglesworth
Spencer
Wiglesworth
Monica
Monica
Monica

MONICA! MONICA! MONICA! Holy crap! She did NOT see that coming!!!! When her name came up the first time, the look on her face was priceless. I wouldn't be surprised if she got whiplash, because her neck snapped around to look at the people behind her so quickly! Spencer looked shocked. The look of glee on Kimmi's face when Monica turned around as her torch was being snuffed was pretty funny as well. Basically, Kimmi was letting her know that it was all her idea.

I'm a little worried that Spencer looked so surprised and that he wasn't in on the plan. Wiglesworth, even though she voted for Spencer, and said that she was voting with the majority, didn't look overly surprised.

I'm really worried about the previews for next week. They show some rats at night in one of the camps. Then Probst comes in by boat...and someone's game is about to end (supposedly). Kass says something like it is horrible or unimaginable. So, someone gets bit by a rat? What could it be? Just hoping it's not one of my favorites, please!
