Big Brother, Ep. 15.1

It's a new season of Big Brother and I couldn't be more excited. I've watched every single season, and now my obsession has taken me to the likes of Big Brother Canada and Big Brother UK. The Canadian version ended it's very first season about a month ago, and the UK version started it's latest season just a little over a week ago. That means, I'm pulling double duty with both the US and UK versions at the same time. Wish me luck!

Now onto the first night in the very newly renovated BB house! Expect the unexpected!
We start out by learning a bit about the houseguests before they enter the house. I'm not going to recap that, because I sort of already did--In case you missed it, here's my review of all the houseguests for Season 15.

Houseguests Enter the House
Group 1: Candice, GinaMarie, Andy, Judd
Group 2: Elissa, Jeremy, Kaitlin, McCrae
Group 3: Howard, Helen, Jessie, Nick
Group 4: Aaryn, Amanda, David, Spencer

So, one thing I notice as the houseguests are scrambling to find a bed--there is a white deer head on the wall! Um...that TOTALLY looks like a copy of Marsha the Moose on Big Brother Canada! I wonder if it will talk to them, too. That would be awesome! Loved Marsha!

Meet-and-Greets
-Everyone thinks GinaMarie is annoying (guess what...me too!)
-Judd thought he would come off as the dumbest guy in the house, but found out that prize will go to David
-No one believes that McCrae is really a pizza boy (boy are they in for a surprise)
-Jeremy loves Kaitlin, and when he saw her he felt little rainbows and doves (awe!)
-David loves Aaryn and could stare into her eyes forever (awe!)
-Jessie thinks David is hot and looks like Taylor Lautner and that he might turn into a werewolf
-Amanda thinks Nick's confidence makes him the best looking guy in the house (I happen to think it's because of his hilarious sense of humor as well)
-If McCrae was gay, he would be all over Howard (I really like Howard and the fact that he doesn't hide his Christianity)
-Judd is pretty sure Elissa looks familiar, but he isn't sure why (if they don't figure out who she is on the first night, these people probably shouldn't be playing this game)
-Elissa is happy that there's another mom in the house (I didn't know she was a mom)
-Kaitlin can't wait to have a gaymance with Andy (he totally cracks me up, he's going to have some great Diary Rooms, I can tell)

Quick Alliances
First alliance = Howard, Spencer and Jeremy--I feel good about these 3. They all seem pretty solid. The only question mark might be Jeremy.
Second alliance = Jessie, Jeremy and David--Uh oh, Jeremy's double-dipping already...hope it doesn't come back to bite him.

First Twist is Revealed
3 houseguests will be nominated every week. HOH will nominate only 2 nominees. The 3rd nominee will be decided by...are you ready for it...the BB MVP! The BB MVP will be chosen each week America. The MVP will be told in secret that they have the power, AND their nomination is also secret! Oh, the power! That is crazy! This means that the MVP will never have blood on their hands, unless...they open their mouths and let it slip. "Floaters, grab your life vests!" It no longer pays to fly under the radar and play with the majority.

HOH Competition: Popsicle Factory
The Goal: Be the last houseguest left holding onto your popsicle (think back to previous challenges where hey hung onto hotdogs and bananas).

Judd is the first one out after only 5 minutes. He wasn't trying very hard. Howard fell next, and he also threw it (he might have wanted to hold on a little longer to be believable). Candice slides off her popsicle as if she wasn't even trying to hold on.

During the competition, Candice figures out exactly who Elissa is. After she says that she is Rachel's sister, Judd realizes he was right, and now he's going to wait and use this information to his advantage later on.

Meanwhile, back on the popsicles...David is worried about his hair because it's his prize possession. And McCrae is in for some big surprises if he thinks this competition is one of the most intense in Big Brother history. Has he ever watched this show?

After 2 hours, Aaryn is the last girl hanging with 4 guys--Jeremy, Nick, David and McCrae. After 3 hours, Aaryn drops and lets the guys battle it out. Jeremy was impressive being able to hold his 210 pounds for that long.

Julie offers the next 2 people to drop a "Never Not" pass opportunity. This means they would never be a Have Not, which means no slop and no uncomfortable sleeping arrangements.They have to pick a box, which may or may not contain the pass. David falls first after being taunted by Jeremy. He chooses a box and it was empty.  "Total freakin' bummer" he says.

Jeremy drops next and he chooses a box and he gets it!

Nick and McCrae talk and Nick lets McCrae have it. Our first HOH of the summer is the pizza boy, McCrae.

Great first night, don't you think? Loved it! I think my favorites are: Aaryn, Nick, and Howard with David, Andy, McCrae, Amanda, Jeremy and Kaitlin not too far behind. Who do you like?
