Survivor, Ep. 32.12

Dara Camp  - After Tribal
Tai said he was really shocked. Joe said everyone felt that Jason had to go and it wasn't up to him. Tai was upset that no one told him and that made his extra vote useless. Tai tried to cover his tracks and said that the group was unified, but Michele said she wasn't in that group. He said he was never sure where she stood. Again he said there were 2 alliances that he was in that DIDN'T involve her. He needs to just stop talking! Tai was really shocked that Aubry pulled a fast one on him because she is the only one he truly trusted. She said that in the group, they didn't feel like they had a voice. She said he had so much control and they didn't like that. She felt bad that she didn't tell him what was going on. Neither are sure where they stand with each other. Tai said he voted the way he said he would.

Reward Challenge
Challenge: race into the jungle to find sandbags and then toss 5 into targets
Reward: Survivor spa and feast and spend the night on a real bed

Cydney takes off like a shot! She is way ahead of everyone. Minutes later, Joe finally makes it to the first bag.

Cydney scores, then Aubry scores. Both head back to the jungle. Oh look, Joe makes it back to start tossing.

Cydney and Aubry still close, followed by Michele and Tai.Lots of misses. Cydney gets #2 and Aubry gets #3. Michele gets her first.

Aubry gets #4. Aubry throws her last bag and it misses. If everyone else uses up all their bags then they can replenish, so she has to wait. Cydney is now out of bags, too. Joe has 2. Tai and Michele are out of bags.

Now they have to wait for Joe. He has to go back into the jungle for his last bag, while EVERYONE waits. If he can connect on 2 with what he has in that last bag, he wins! What a crazy challenge!

Joe misses again and again. He gets #4 and he has 1 bag left to get the last one. It's the one farthest away. There's no way he hits it. BUT WAIT! HOLY CRAP!!!! IT WENT IN! JOE WINS!  I never thought that would ever happen!

Joe gets to choose 1 person to join him. He chose Aubry because she has been his brain partner since day 1. Now, Joe gets to pick another one. Joe said Aubry could pick. Aubry chose Cydney.

Reward

Joe can't believe he won. He said this was the best one for him to win because he needed protein. Cydney knew that Joe was not going to be in a good place after all the beef he was putting away.

Joe actually tried to talk game and strategy. He forgot that Tai had an idol, so he said they will have to wait until the next one.

He starts talking about how he, Aubry, and Cydney have been playing the game and who the threats are. Seriously, where has this Joe been all game? He pointed out Cydney being a threat and actually woke Aubry up. Um, yes she's a threat!

Dara Camp
Michele wants to change the pecking order of this group. Tai wanted to have an honest talk with Michele. It was just the 2 of them, so they could really talk. They both opened up. Tai said it wasn't anything against her, but he just opens up to certain types of people and he just kind of felt uncomfortable around her. Since they were alone, Michele claimed that they could make their own spa day. He said he would give her a massage and he did. She said it was kind of like having a Thai massage without even realizing what she said, and he said, "It IS a Tai massage!"

By this point, they were really getting along and bonded. Michele said it appears that they are both on the outs. Michele thinks if she loses immunity, she will be gone and then he will be next. Tai said they should brainstorm what to do and they could figure something out. Tai thinks Cyd would be the one they could sway. Obviously, if he doesn't trust Aubry anymore, he won't get Joe without her, so that only leaves Cydney. Cydney and Michele are pretty close, so I could see this working.

The 3 come back from reward...

Aubry definitely sees Cydney as a threat and her final 3 would be her, Tai, and Joe. She's not sure that Tai will forgive her and trust her after what happened. She asked him how he was doing and he said he was collecting his thoughts. She said she has had time to think and she doesn't know where he stands, but at the end of the day, he should know that Joe will go with what she thinks the right decision is. She said there is no question that he (Tai) is who they want to work with. They were walking with water and Aubry said they have to put one foot in front of the other and in the game you have to put things behind you. All of a sudden, he dropped everything and just started crying! Oh, Tai! He said the game was so hard. She hugged him and told him not to do so much at camp and he should take some time for himself because they are almost to the end. At that moment, Tai saw that she was being totally open and honest with him and he thinks that Aubry will be true until the end.

Cydney and Michele talk. Michele said whoever wins immunity, they just need to convince the other person to go with them. Cydney hopes that she doesn't do something to jeopardize her game by trying to get herself to the end. Michele thinks that with Cydney and Tai, the 3 of them can choose either Joe or Aubry to go.

Joe is starting to not feel so good. He said his stomach is bloated and he isn't passing any urine. He is hoping that whatever is going on with him is not going to be serious. He thinks his prostate is squeezing and not letting things flow and there's a lot of pressure. He's also constipated. Aubry is worried because Joe is her anchor and he is crucial to her game. Michele is worried that he is in more pain than he is letting on. Poor guy...medical came to check on him. The doctor said they could give him something, but if it doesn't help it could cause his kidneys to fail.

OK, so I'm starting to realize that this episode is going to be very different, and I think we may not get to see Tribal. It is 8:45 and we haven't even done the Immunity Challenge yet! Or maybe Joe gets pulled and there is no Immunity Challenge and no Tribal?!

Joe is in a lot of pain. He is getting really nauseous. Tai said that he should keep fighting, but Joe said the meds aren't working. Tai started crying and he said it wasn't fair for Joe. Everyone else was crying, too. Cydney said he was like her substitute grandpa out there.

It's dark, and Jeff and the doctor come back to see Joe. They could see that his belly was still bloated. He said he was still in a lot of pain. The doctor said that his age had a lot to do with it. Joe said he hasn't eaten meat forever, and he way over-indulged. He just couldn't stop eating it and now he thinks it is all just blocking him now. The doctor said that if he puts up with the pain, it's still doing long-term damage on the inside. The doctor said the only safe thing to dow was to pull him from the game. Wow! I don't think anyone has every been pulled this late in the game. While Joe really hasn't done anything to deserve to be there, he's still a really nice guy and he doesn't deserve to make it this far and have to get pulled. That's sad, but his health is more important.

This is not at all how I expected this episode to go at all!

This season will go down as one of the toughest for sure. 3 evacuations this season...that's just crazy!

And with him leaving, everyone has to rethink their strategies going forward. Tai is the last man standing with 3 girls. He has no idol and no advantage. I think he's going to have to win immunity to make it to the finals.
