Big Brother, Ep. 17.28

Nomination Aftermath
Austin thinks putting Steve and John on the block was the least risk to his game. Nice move, buddy.

Steve is fuming! He wasn't supposed to be on the block with John. Steve appreciates that Vanessa is working some special magic for her to not be nominated yet again.

John and Steve are trying to decide if either of them are really the target. John is sure that no one will use the Veto, so they say they have to win it. No duh!

Austin told Steve that if the noms stay the same, Steve will be safe. Their deal with John was the last deal that was made, so he's out. He told Steve if the Veto is used, he thinks he has to put Vanessa up.

Liz wants Vanessa out of the loop. She wants to separate John and Steve. She doesn't trust John because she doesn't know where his head is at. She is really worried because Austin still doesn't know who he wants to target.

Veto Player Draw
Austin draws Vanessa
John draws Meg
Steve draws Julia

John draws Meg's name again, and he's happy because she is a weak competitor and doesn't have a whole lot going on upstairs. Julia finally got picked to play in her first Veto competition and she was so excited.

Zingbot!!!!
I love Zingbot! I'm hoping for some good zings!

James - "I've heard that Meg is going to take you someplace very, very special after the show...the friend zone! Out of your league, zing!"

Julia -  "Liz, I'm confused. Suddenly you're less attractive, less intelligent, and less charming. Oh wait, that's just Julia! Zing!"

Steve - "What's less cool than a trombonist who cries for his mommy? Nothing! Zing!"

Austin - "Will someone please take out the trash. It stinks in here. Oh wait, that's just Austin!"

Meg - "Your New York attitude is very Sex and the City. Too bad your gameplay is more Sucks in the City!"

John - "5 out of 5 dentists agree. The only thing less attractive than your laugh is your back hair! Zing!"

Vanessa - "You have been playing a masterful game. Assuming that game is the crying game! Zing!"

Liz - "You've become such an important part of Austin's life. Are you more excited to meet his mom, his dad, or his girlfriend?! Zing!"

Liz is kind of mad. She knew Austin had a girlfriend (or ex). She started asking a bunch of questions and now Austin's mad because they have a Veto to play.

Veto Competition
It's the face mashups comp. Each Fembot photo will be a combination of 3 houseguests.

Julia is first and her time is 4:45
Steve timed out and didn't beat Julia's time
Austin timed out and didn't beat Julia's time (he messed up thinking part was Liz and he was wrong)
Vanessa's time is 2:51, and has the new time to beat (boo! of course she would be good at this)
John timed out and didn't beat Vanessa's time
Meg timed out and didn't beat Vanessa's time (she got stuck on her own nose)

...which means, the worst possible thing happened...Vanessa won Veto. Booooooooo!

Rampant Paranoia
John knows his life in the BB house is in trouble. Vanessa starts to pump him for information. She asks him if he's over what happened to Becky and Clay. He said he's over it and he's alone in the game. He said they might be the biggest enemies but it's stupid to keep going at each other. He realizes that he is desperate so he has to take what he can get. She said she would like to work with him and she would like him to stay. She said she would talk to Austin to see where his head's at. She would have to get his approval to use the Veto, because she doesn't want him pissed at her.

Vanessa said John's back is against the wall and they could keep him in their back pocket. She said they need to split up Meg and James. Austin said James will be irrational if they go after Meg because James feels for Meg the way he feels for Liz. He is worried about their backlash and on top of that, the not knowing who is coming back from jury. Basically what he's saying is - "I'm a wimp, and I don't want to make any risky moves whatsoever." Vanessa tells John that she tried, but Austin isn't budging. John tells her that he was in a 5-person alliance with them last week in order to get Vanessa out. That alliance included Steve - Steve, whom Vanessa was also trying to work with earlier in the episode. Uh-oh Steve...Vanessa might be coming after you now! She is confused why they would flip the script on her.

Vanessa confronts Liz (or Julia) about the 5-person alliance to get her out. She said it wasn't true. After some more pushing, She confessed it was all Steve's idea and he orchestrated the whole thing. She said he did it because he and Johnny Mac are close and are working together. She thinks Steve played her for a fool.

Vanessa confronts Steve about the alliance. He denies that he had anything to do with it. He starts breathing really, really hard. He is so worried that he's just been found out and he has no idea what to do or say right now. Classic Vanessa move, she keeps pushing and pushing until she was sure she had him caught in his lie. He continued to deny it, but she said she would be breathing heavy too. Man, I thought he was going to hyperventilate and pass out there for a second.

Veto Meeting
Of course Vanessa doesn't use the Veto. This really was no surprise. If she used it, who would go up? Austin was not going to put up Liz or Julia, and he already said he didn't want to go after Meg or James.

Vanessa's speech targeted Steve and his backstabbing ways. At this point, it looks like she wants John to stay. This could be really good for John. Vanessa runs this house and what she says usually goes. So...if she can sway the twins or Meg and James, John has a chance to stay! Everyone cross your fingers!
