Big Brother, Ep. 18.2

Strategizing
Tiffany is bawling her eyes out because she is so embarrassed that she might be the first one evicted. She has so much pressure on her to perform well because of how well Vanessa did. She needed to tell someone her secret (except I thought she already told Michelle?). Da'Vonne already knew her secret and pulled her aside and just told her that she "knows" and Tiffany was glad to have told someone. So did this happen before Michelle and we're just seeing it now? I'm confused. Da'Vonne knows she needs to get a newbie on her side to help keep her safe, and she thinks Tiffany is that newbie.

Nicole is thinking ahead and she is planning with Corey who would be HOH if both of them stay. She wants Corey to say that she should be HOH. She told him being the first HOH puts a lot of blood on your hands. She wants to be HOH because she knows the newbies are gunning for them. It went exactly like she wanted, and he said he thinks she should do it because she's played before and knows more what's going on. She played dumb and said she didn't really want it, but would do it.

Competition: Hit the Road

Nicole, Corey, Tiffany, and Glenn compete. The loser is evicted. The goal of the game is to get climb a tree and get coconuts and place them in the S.O.S. shape at the base of their tree, while their island moves and rotates around. Can I just say right here that I am already impressed with these new and innovative competitions this season! Remember, I mentioned that we got one of the game coordinators from Big Brother Canada? Yeah, this season feels pretty fresh and new!

Glenn's coconuts keep rolling out of their spots. Tiffany has a pretty good strategy of working on her closest ones first. Nicole is doing well. I'm a little surprised that Corey doesn't have more. He better not lose this to Glenn.

Nicole has one coconut left - don't blow it! She's got it! She is the first to finish and she is safe! Woohoo!

Tiffany keeps losing one coconut at a time when she comes down her tree. But, she's fast enough to be the second one done and she is safe.

Come on Corey! He's got one more, but Glenn is done and all he has to do is get the flag. Corey just placed his last one...oh no! Glenn is having trouble getting to his flag. It looks like they pulled it at the same time and it's a photo finish. Crap...this doesn't look good. But, yeah - he's safe! That was so close! That's a bummer for poor Glenn, but if it wasn't going to be Tiffany, I wanted it to be him. Whew!

New HOH & Eviction
"Nobody" seems to want it - which means Nicole is going to get what she wants. She knows she has to act like she doesn't want to do it, and she gets Corey and Tiffany to swear that if they get split up later, they won't put her up, and they do. Tiffany asked if she would do it because she was the first one to finish the competition. That's another good reason for her to "take one for the team". The vets are super excited because they know they will be safe.

After the HOH is named, everyone had to say goodbye to Glenn. They left him alone on his little island. That's crazy. Other than Jody getting evicted on Night 1, this is the quickest that anyone has been evicted. He barely got to play the game.

Strategizing
Paul is super pissed that Corey let Nicole be HOH because that was not the plan. Paul is sure that a newbie is now going to go home. To him, Corey had one job, and he blew it. Corey's like "aw shucks, nothing I could do", but really he's thinking "there was no way I wanted to be the first HOH!"

Paulie is hanging out with Nicole and James. They are all in awe of playing with each other. Nicole thinks Paulie could be an ally. However, she remembers that Cody voted her out twice. Paulie says he has a connection to the vets because of Cody and he would like to work with them.

Victor agrees to talk to Nicole to pass on info to the rest of the newbies. He grills her about her strategies coming into the game. He tells her that the newbies all want to stay together. He tries to distract her by taking off his shirt. She said she doesn't want to go after people who are going after her. He said that's everyone. (I thought for sure she said who "aren't going after her" because that would make more sense, but his response of "that's everyone dear" suggests that she said who "are going after" her...hmmm not sure about that - it doesn't make sense for her to NOT want to go after the people who are going after her). He starts spilling the beans on his gameplan, the newbies' gameplan, and who is definitely gunning for her. He said his best buddy, Jozea, is dead set on getting rid of all the vets. He told her she needs to start making friends.

James tries to talk to Nicole while she is in the shower. He starts messing with her and acting like he is Victor and he started saying that he thinks she doesn't like him and that all the newbies are coming after her. He totally got her. Good one!

Have-Nots
We get to see the new Have-Not room that Da'Vonne's team "Big Sister" will be sharing. It's a carnival theme. There's a turn-style to get into the room and the beds are bumper cars. There's some creepy clowns and flashing lights.

Strategizing
Da'Vonne has Jozea's number. She thinks that he is being way too cocky and thinks he's already won. He thinks he is the Messiah in the game. She picks his brain on who he wants out. He said the "alliance" of the vets - but she is safe. He has diarrhea of the mouth just like Victor because he is spilling his whole plan, too! He wants Nicole out first, then James, then Frank. Da'Vonne is just loving this!

Da'Vonne shares the juicy tidbits with Nicole. Nicole now has a clear "winner" for her pecking list, Jozea. Both Victor and Jozea himself have outed him as the ringleader.

Nicole talks to Corey. She tells him about Jozea. Her other thought for a nominee is Paulie. She wants him to compete in the POV because she needs him to win in order to get Jozea out. She said she would only do it if Paulie was OK with it.

The vets talk to Paulie about being the pawn. She doesn't want to alienate him too soon because she wants to work with him. They asked Paulie who he would put up. He said he would put up Jozea for sure. He would put her up to someone like Zakiyah. Nicole is worried she would go. They need someone strong up next to him. They ask if he would be willing to go up. He didn't sound super excited (duh!), but he kind of said he would do it. He's just worried because pawns can go home even if they are telling him they will keep him safe. They only have so many votes. One good thing about putting him up is that it kind of keeps the heat off of them as working together.

Nominations
Nicole nominates Jozea and Paulie.

Nicole said it was a tough decision and there weren't a lot of options. What do you mean? This is the first week...there are more than enough options! She did save herself after that stupid comment (sort of) by saying that she decided to put up a strong player from each team. OK, that kind of sounds legitimate. I just really hope that things go as planned and Paulie is OK. Best case scenario is that he wins Veto and can save himself. I'm not sure who Nicole would put up in that case.

Da'Vonne, never short for Diary Room soundbites, says that Jozea ending up on the block in the first week is "Karma for your butt!" lol!
