Jimmy Kimmel crashes the party and takes over for Chris Harrison. He begins by breaking into Chris's room and waking him up and totally embarrassing him.
Jimmy then meets the girls. He introduces the "amazing" jar. Any time someone says the word "amazing" they have to put $1 in the jar.
Date #1: Kaitlyn
They get dropped off at Costco. Ha! Jimmy gave them a list of things to pick up for their date later that night...that was going to include Jimmy. Lots of very interesting things. They looked like they were having a really good time finding the products. They even took some time out to shoot some hoops and play inside a giant plastic bubble rolling down the aisles. Little kids came along and pushed them...so cute! This is definitely something that normal couples do on a regular basis. If you can't shop together, you might not belong together.
They take all the stuff back to the house and start setting everything up. They wonder what Jimmy is going to have in store for them.
Chris and Jimmy bond over grilling the steaks. Jimmy said he felt like he was on a date with Chris while Kaitlyn was doing her own thing with the ice.
Jimmy asks Kaitlyn if she likes farmers. Kaitlyn said she has dated a farmer before and he was a "legit" farmer because he got up in the morning to milk cows.
At dinner, Jimmy pulls out the big question about the Fantasy Suite, and he asks Kaitlyn if she would be mad at Chris for going into the Fantasy Suite with other girls. She said she couldn't be mad because it was part of the process. Lets just say there is a lot of nervous laughter from Chris during this whole conversation. Jimmy and Kaitlyn were totally bonding, and Chris just laughed uncomfortably. It was pretty funny.
Jimmy hands the date rose to Chris, and Jimmy stops him right in the middle of his speech and said it was horrible. Ha! Chris then says "amazing" twice, so he owes the jar $2. Then they awkwardly hug over top of Jimmy...who was strangely seated in between them during the entire date. I wonder why Jimmy didn't let them sit together. He then said that he felt like their adopted son. How embarrassing that had to be for Chris to do all of that in front of someone sitting so close to him.
Later, we see Jimmy as the 3rd wheel again, as he joins them in the hot tub. So romantic!
Date #2: Britt, Jillian, Becca, Tracy, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Amber, Ashley S., Juelia, Samantha, Nikki, Carly
The girls all start working out in preparation for their date.
They see a huge set of obstacles set up, and they have to all be thinking "what did I get myself into". There are 5 tests:
1. corn shucking
2. collect an egg, crack it into the frying pan (only 8 eggs, so some will be eliminated)
3. milk a goat (only 5 goats), drink the milk
4. shovel manure
5. wrestle a pig in the mud (only 4)
Corn shucking--some girls were taking the easy route, while some others were really going at it.
Mackenzie and Jillian were first to the eggs. Mackenzie was disqualified because she got shell in her frying pan.
Carly's goat only had one good teat. Jillian kept getting kicked. Carly was first to drink the milk...even though she's lactose intolerant! Kelsey was gagging trying to chug the milk. Jillian was the next one done, right after Carly.
Carly got her wheelbarrow filled with manure first, but Jillian was right behind. Carly couldn't get in the gate, so Jillian just leaped over the gate like she was Super Woman!
Carly was the first to get a pig, and she was the winner! I think she deserved it...she worked her butt off. She definitely went above and beyond drinking the milk. She earned a blue ribbon, and then she and Chris recreated the American Gothic painting with the clothes and pitchfork and everything.
For the night portion of the date, they hung out on a rooftop with drinks.
Carly pulled him aside first, before they even sat down. She tells him that she gets nervous around him. "You're a man, and I'm a woman, and I just wanted to take advantage"...and then she kissed him. "Well done", he said.
Amber asked him if he wanted to dance, and she said they will make their own music, and they should pretend it's their wedding. It was a little awkward, and then they kissed. I'm not sure what connection he has with her, because we haven't really seen him with her at all.
And then, there was so much kissing! Girls, don't feel too special, because he's kissing literally EVERYONE!
Mackenzie said "remember how we kissed? Then why are you kissing everyone else?" Awkward. He wasn't sure what to say. Later she said she hoped she didn't ruin things by her really big question...she felt really dumb, so naturally, she had to tell all the girls about what she said.
Becca had a nice conversation with him.She wanted to kiss him, but didn't. She said she didn't want to rush things and wanted him to know that it wasn't that she didn't want to kiss him. He totally understood and said he should have to earn it.
Becca got the group date rose. Carly was pretty devastated because she felt like they had a really great connection established on this date.
Note worth mentioning: Ashley S. was on this date, and we didn't see or hear her once! Wow, she didn't do anything crazy, good for her.
Date #3: Whitney
Great, we get to have a whole date with nothing but her annoying voice.
This date is incredibly boring to start out with. They sit outside sipping wine and having boring conversation. Whitney spots a wedding going on and she suggests that they go crash the wedding. Chris, you can tell, really doesn't want to do it. She talks him into it...YOLO! They come up with their story, and they decide to tell everyone that they are engaged. They will tell everyone that the show is done filming and they are now engaged, so they all have to keep it quiet.
Chris suggests that they get changed (because they are obviously not dressed for a wedding. Suddenly, we then see them in a limo, completely dressed up and carrying a wrapped wedding gift...and it is now pitch dark! They said the wedding hadn't started yet and they might have an hour before the reception.
They start talking to people, and Chris starts asking some questions that seem suspicious, and that someone who was at the wedding should know. Whitney saves him by saying they are engaged and she shows them her ring. She starts talking about how she met the bride a long time ago, and starts talking about her like she knows her. Then they end up on the dance floor with the bride and groom. Chris shows off some of his dorky moves.
Whitney had hoped to catch the bouquet, but she wasn't even close.
Chris was totally impressed with Whitney and he said he saw so many things in her that he never would have imagined. He was COMPLETELY smitten with her. So, obviously, she got the rose. I thought he was going to break down crying when she accepted the rose.
Side note: I now don't find her voice that annoying any more...thank goodness.
Cocktail Party
Before the Cocktail Party, Chris and Jimmy share a shower together...um...OK.
The "amazing" jar is now completely full! Jimmy tells the girls that there is not going to be a Cocktail Party. However, instead, they are going to have a pool party.
Juelia hasn't had a lot of time with Chris, and a pool party isn't the best time to get all serious, but she thought she really should talk about her situation and the fact that her husband had committed suicide. She told him that she didn't know her husband had a mental illness until a year after she was married. She said having a child, she saw him slowly declining. She said one day he told her that he had written a suicide note, and she was so shocked. She said he had gotten a gun, and he broke down. She took their daughter because she was scared. She talked to him later and he said he was sorry he scared her and that he was going to get help. The next day, he texted her that he was sorry and he loved her. As she was driving to see him, she got a sinking feeling and she just knew. At this point, she just broke down in Chris's arms. He was so supportive, even though he didn't say much. That had to be so hard for her to share. What a sad story. She said she worried about her daughter, but he told her not to put so much pressure on herself. He sees that she's strong and she thinks her daughter will be fine.
Britt said the last time they saw each other she was a little bummed. He started to talk to her, but it didn't really get anywhere because she started making out with him...like a lot. Many girls are getting really jealous because they don't have that with him yet.
Jade asks Chris to show her his home. Meanwhile, Jillian sneaks in and decides to wait for Chris in his hot tub. Chris shows Jade how he tested every bed in the hotels they went to last season. He ran and jumped on the bed, and then she did her best attempt. They start making out, and outside, Jillian is still sitting in the hot tub. Looks like she might be lonely for awhile. Finally, they go outside and see Jillian.
Ashley I. and some of the other girls who don't normally make a bold move (Mackenzie and a blonde..not sure who she was), decide to go to his house too, and crash on the hot tub time with Jillian. Jillian told them that she literally just got a bottle of water 1 minute ago. So, they all decide to give them their alone time. They say they will give them 5 minutes. Mackenzie sneaks around the corner and says "is it OK now?". Ashley I. couldn't believe that Jillian stayed and didn't leave when they joined them. Jillian continued to talk, and none of the other girls just sat there. Ashley I. tried to say that each of them should take him for 2 minutes of alone time, but Jillian wasn't really for that, even though she already had like 10 minutes. So, Ashley I. just decided to leave. Jillian was really being selfish, and kind of a bully, but Chris could have decided to spend time with the other girls. He really only seemed to notice Jillian.
Chris came to the girls' house and asked if Ashley was there. She grabbed him and took him outside. She told him how upset she was that Jillian didn't leave. She started crying, and was talking about last week and something about Tara...he was confused. He told her he didn't know what to say or how to react when things like that happen. He asked her how she was doing otherwise and she said she missed him a lot. Then there was silence, so they kissed. Afterwards, she said she enjoyed kissing him, but wished that her mouth wasn't so dry. She said she doesn't think that he could have had a better chemistry with anyone else. We'll see.
Rose Ceremony

Going Home (3) -- Amber, Tracy, Trina (Did Tracy or Trina say anything this entire season? I have no idea who they are. They didn't even have a final exit interview.)
Awkward moment: Chris accidentally says "Jade" instead of "Jimmy" when talking about their week.
I loved Jimmy's tearful limo exit. Hilarious!
