HOH Competition...continued
James is hoping either Meg, Jackie, or Becky win and he of course, doesn't want Shelli to win since he just sent her man home. We all know that "hell hath no furry like a woman scorned". Yes, you read that right, he said "furry" not "fury". LOL! Well, I think we can safely say that we can count Meg out of this one. Everyone is laughing at Meg and how slow she is. They say she is like an old grandma in the carpool lane that you just can't get get around.
I'm gonna be sick...Austin sees Liz fall and he says that he hopes she's falling just as hard for him. Gag!
Johnny is trying to keep pace with Jackie, Julia, Shelli, and Becky...just in case one of them gets hit by lightning or something. Oh, Johnny,
Becky's jar is now getting very full and it doesn't look like anyone else is going to be able to catch her. She has the HOH, but she wants to try for the other 2 prizes. She gets the ball for the Never Not, then she gets the $5,000, and finally she gets the HOH.
This is not good for Steve. He thinks she will target him because she is intimidated by him. But, well, let's face it...if she knows how much he despises her, she might just target him.
Johnny Mac: Floater to Target
Johnny Mac said this HOH was important because he just became one of the biggest targets in the house, as of a couple hours ago. Hmm...what happened? Well, he went to Clay and told him that he knows he wants everyone to send him home but he doesn't think that's best for his game...after he and James just got done talking about they don't think it's fair for someone to give up their game for love and they don't think Clay was thinking straight. John tells Clay that he thinks Vanessa is in Shelli's head. She has been involved in every blow-up and he wants to put a stop to it. Clay then wanted to make sure that Vanessa talked to Johnny Mac because he's been a loyal ally to Vanessa. Of course, hearing this is not going to sit well with Vanessa. She confronted James (not Johnny) and asked if he had something against her personally. She asked why he would talk to Johnny Mac about being in Shelli's head. He swore on his daughter that he didn't say that to John. He got really upset, and she said someone is lying because he told Clay that and Clay told her. James said they needed to get to the bottom of this. He went and confronted Clay and said he better keep his name out of his mouth for the short time he has left. Clay got really upset and stood towering over James like he was going to hit him.
Vanessa then went to John. She asked him if James said that Vanessa was gunning after him. John said no. Vanessa then asked Clay what John said to him and he said that John said that Vanessa was in Shelli's head and that they were coming after him (Johnny Mac). She turned to John and asked him who said that, and he said "I came up with that." He said no one tells him anything and that's just the conclusion that he's come up with. Vanessa said he's lying and obviously didn't come up with that on his own. (My how she underestimates our cute little dentist). Clay said he must have assumed from what John said that it came from James. Vanessa said it still seems like he's lying. He said he's never lying to her and she is crying and can't believe that she would do that to him. Vanessa can be so emotional! I can't tell if that's her gameplan, or if she just really is someone who gets emotional about everything and just cries all the time (I think it's game). Shelli said that Clay would not make up that they were coming after John. Vanessa thinks John is covering for Clay in saying that he only came up with it himself. Wow...this is just a big mess.
Clay told John that he told Vanessa to talk to him to clear things up...he had no idea that she would go back to James with it. John said he didn't tell Clay that James said it, it was him saying that.
John realizes now even more, that Vanessa is a fierce competitor and she's really, really smart.
Steve and John
John is stoked that Becky won HOH because he has really connected with her because they are both outsiders in the game. He told Steve not to worry about anything this week because he was going to talk to Becky about targetting Vanessa. Steve puts it together that the fight that broke out before the HOH comp had to do with John and Vanessa and he knows that John is really mad at Vanessa. So, this is pretty much the most game that we have seen either Steve or John talk about this entire game so far.
Shelli walks in on Steve just staring at the wall. She asked him what he was doing and he said this was a good place to get away from everyone. Steve talks about how he just spaces out a lot in the house. He clearly spends 95% of his time by himself. At least he can admit that he's a weird dude.
Becky's Target
Becky talks with James, Meg, and Jackie about who to target this week. Becky thinks she should put up Shelli and Steve. They will say they are going with the plan of last week, which was to target the other half of Clelli. However, she will really be targetting Vanessa. Vanessa has been behind all of the decisions for that alliance. Jackie said she feels like they are safer with Shelli than with Vanessa. James obviously knows Shelli is after him, but he wants Vanessa out right away. They vow to never say the "V" word because she cannot suspect that anything is happening.
Becky told Shelli the plan (even though she told the group that no one else was going to know what was going on). Becky said that Vanessa was all too quick to throw her and Clay under the bus. Becky said she has to be a backdoor, even though there's a chance something could happen to where the noms would stay the same and Vanessa would be safe. The plan is for Shelli to be upset with Becky. Becky's plan will work even if Vanessa doesn't go up because the house still wants Shelli gone, so with her on the block, she would go this week.
Vanessa reassured Becky that they have been good in the game. She said on a personal level that she would like to make a deal with her. Becky stopped her in her tracks and said she is done with deals and alliances and wants nothing to do with them. She said she never wants to hear those words again. Vanessa was like "really?". Becky said in the DR that she saw right through Vanessa and knew exactly what she was up to and wanted no part of it. That's great Becky, but Vanessa is smart. She's going to be suspicious of you not wanting to make a deal with her. Vanessa came away from their conversation thinking Becky doesn't know how to play this game and is a "flavor of the week". She also...like I said...thinks that she is a target of some kind for Becky. Her last words to Becky were that she hoped that she would not tell Shelli that she knew about the plan.
John comes up for a visit. She tells him the plan of putting up Shelli and Steve. She said that him, Jackie, Meg, and James are the only ones who know that the real target is Vanessa. He could not be happier. He has gotten a weird vibe from Vanessa since Day 1. He and Becky are on the exact same page with everything that Vanessa has done. She tells John that everyone else (Liz, Austin, Julia, Vanessa) are to think that John is actually her backdoor target. I'm not sure that they will buy that, but whatever.
Nominations
Just as planned, Becky nominates Shelli and Steve.
Becky said she nominated Shelli because of the things that came up after Clay left the house. She nominated Steve because he's the biggest Big Brother fan and she wants him to get his hands dirty, get into the social game, and start winning some comps.
Steve said (in the DR) that he was fully aware that he:
1. is the biggest superfan
2. has no blood on his hands
3. is laying super low
He is (sarcastically) so happy that Becky pointed out all of these things that he has already been aware that he is doing, to the rest of the house. And for doing so, she is now his target. I'm sorry, wasn't she your target before? He's had nothing but bad things to say about her for weeks.
