Introductions
Ashley I. - she gets love advice from her younger, way more experienced sister...she wants her to come with her
Jared - fell in love with Kaitlyn and wishes they had more time...he's hoping to get over her by meeting other people
Ashley S. - I don't know if I can handle her craziness...she has to be faking, no one can be that crazy and stupid, can they?
Tanner - he's getting back to normal with his cat and friend geese...wait, maybe he and Ashley S. will get along!
Jade - she's ready to move on and wants to come out of the show with a real relationship
Jillian - known for the black box that follows her around on her butt; she decided to get breast implants to match her but...wow!
Dan - he's not going to make the same mistakes he made on Desiree's season
Juelia - her daughter said "yes" and "no" to pictures of guys on this season of Bachelor in Paradise...she said "no" to everyone except for Kirk
Tenley - her 5-year relationship with Kiptyn from Bachelor Pad ended and now he's having a baby with someone else
The Cast Shows Up
Jade and Jared are the first ones there. Immediately they go for a walk and Jared grabs her hand.
Ashley shows up with extra "baggage"...her sister, Lauren. She said she talked about her the whole season and everyone said they wanted to meet her, so she decided to bring her along. Yeah, I'm totally buying that NO ONE knew she was coming. Ashley is glad to have her there, but she is worried because guys tend to gravitate towards her because she's beautiful and she's more touchy-feely...oh yeah and the complete opposite of her in the sexual experience area. Carly jokes "were we supposed to all bring someone?". The girls all wonder if it's fair that she brought her sister along. The guys were pretty happy. Jonathan said he's had 2 sisters at the same time and it was pretty great, not as dirty as you would think, and he's wondering if that could happen again. The producer then fills him in that Ashley is a virgin. He said, oh, I've had some of those before too, and it was a lot of fun, a lot of work, but worth it. OK, officially disgusted by Jonathan.
So, Mikey starts telling the guys that he can get them all bulked up like him. Tanner was hilarious and said he was glad because that's exactly why he came here. Ha! Carly (oh how I miss Carly's one-liners) said the "T" stands for "testosterone". Zing! lol He was immediately drawn to Lauren. He immediately had his shirt off and pulled her aside and took her to the ocean. He said he was 32 and she said she's dated 40-year-olds before. Later, Lauren told Ashley that Mikey is way too aggressive too fast. Ashley said she really likes Jared and Lauren agreed, but she said she would give him to her. They continued to talk about all of the guys and whether they thought they were cute or not.
Carly and Kirk hit it off.
JJ enters with bright pink pants! It was great timing, as Jade said she hopes that there wouldn't be any douche bags. He basically got no greeting from anyone, and everyone began whispering about the bad things they have seen and heard about him.
Ashley S. is the last person to arrive and she starts right away with the crazy. As Chris is talking to her and welcoming her to paradise, she has this glazed-over look in her eyes. She asked "is that a cage?" He laughed and said yes and there was birds in the cage. She was in a trance as she walked over to look at all the birds. She said she loved birds and went over to the cage and started stroking the cage trying to pet the bird on the other side. He told her that she was the first person to notice the parrots, and she said "maybe it's because I have some". He said, "you have parrots?" And she said, "um, no". OK, so that made a lot of sense.
Kirk was surprised how normal Ashley S. seems. Just wait for it Kirk...just wait for it.
The guys realize that they are outnumbered by 1, so they will be handing out the roses and one of the girls will be going home. Chris informs the group that if 1 of the sisters, the other one gets to stay. Ashley thinks this is great because Lauren can "slut it up" and she can stay.
Surprise - WEDDING!
First day, and Chris takes them to the beach where a wedding is going to take place. Of course, it is Marcus and Lacy's wedding! They left Season 1 of Bachelor in Paradise as an engaged couple, and they are now officially sealing the deal where it all began one year ago. And none other than Chris Harrison will be officiating. The ceremony was short and sweet, and filled with a lot of joyful tears. Lacy threw the bouquet, and Juelia caught it.
First Night
Jade is standing with like 6 guys all around her. It's obvious that everyone likes her and wants a chance with her.
It's night 1, and Lauren is bawling her eyes out by herself. Mikey comes to see what's wrong. She said she can't talk when she's crying. She wanted to talk to Ashley. She's crying so hard that she can't talk. Wow, I figured Ashley would be the first one to cry. What on earth is wrong with you? She is freaking out because this experience is too much for her apparently. She said she doesn't see how this can be fun. She said she is 24 and she doesn't want anyone who is there...she just wants to go home. She thinks everyone is boring and she doesn't like people.
Ashley rejoins the group and wants to find Jared because so far because he's pretty perfect, he's the only one she's interested in and she wants to solidify that tonight. She found him. She sat next to him in complete silence. She couldn't think of anything to talk to him about, and she hates herself right now. Finally she decides to bring up that last season she had a Cinderella date, but of any princess, she is like Jasmine. Jared said she totally looks like Jasmine, and she said that's the nicest compliment that anyone can give her. She feels like this interaction went really well, they are on the same page, and they're just going to take things slowly. Cut to later and Jared asks Jade if she wants to go for a walk. Cue an Ashley meltdown in 3, 2, 1...She is pissed by what she's seeing. She thinks Jade was just waiting for her to get up and leave. She is frustrated that he is talking to Jade. She thought she solidified things with him, but apparently she didn't. Um...you had a short conversation about being a princess around the campfire with like 5 other people. What part of that made you think that you mutually agreed that you both had a connection? Nothing...so cue the ugly laugh/cry.
Kirk and Carly continue with their connection. He wonders why her hands are so small, and it makes them both laugh hysterically. Then they made some silly chit-chat, and it was only a matter of time before he just went for it and kissed her. He had this look in his eye and it was just like, wait for it, wait for it...Well, she got tired of waiting for it and SHE went for it! He went and told Mikey and Jonathan about it, and she went and told Jade about it.
Date Card
The Date Card was addressed to Ashley I. She totally thought it was going to go to Jade or Jared, and they would pick each other and she would be devastated. So, this made her really happy, but she's so nervous because she's never asked someone out and she's worried that he doesn't like her and doesn't want to go with her. They said Jared looked "morose", fearing that she was going to pick him. They think he could say no, but he said it could be any of them and he'll wait and see. JJ said he thought Jared looked like he would rather get a backyard beating than go with her.
Lauren coached her on how she should ask him. She had no confidence whatsoever and thought she was going to throw up. But, she pulled it off, and he said yes. Granted, he looked like he succumbed to the peer pressure of being in front of a lot of people, but he said yes, nonetheless. She is pretty psyched because she's obsessed with Jasmine and she thinks Jared looks like Aladdin.
Their date card said something about getting dirty. They ride in like a dune buggy through the jungle to the beach. She asks him about Kaitlyn and how he was feeling. He said it's been hard, but it's helped him learn a lot about himself.
After they came back, they met up with the group and they both said they had fun. He kind of gave her an elbow, and it was clear that he likes her as a friend and nothing more.
Date Card
This Date Card was addressed to Jade. Uh-oh...could Jared be going on a second one-on-one? She said it's a toss-up between Jared and Tanner. I think she really wanted to pick Jared, but since he had just gone on a date, she went with Tanner instead.
Their date was basically just a dinner. He wanted to get the Playboy thing out of the way right away. He said he was OK with it, and he even joked that he was doing Playgirl next month. They seemed to have a good time together and neither one thought they would feel such a strong connection with someone so fast. They sealed the dinner with a kiss, and then took a walk in the dark and took a dip in the river...in the middle of a thunderstorm.
Tanner said it only took him 7 weeks on the show to get a one-on-one, but it was worth it.
Ashley S. Drama
So it's night 2 and there's an ambulance. Everyone noticed that Ashley S. was missing, and the next thing we see, she is being wheeled out on a stretcher. She's really out of it. Dan (surprisingly) kind of had a connection with her earlier, as they both talked to a bird and let it crawl on their shoulders and head. She seemed fine (health-wise, mentally - on another planet as usual). RealitySteve said that she was dehydrated.
Clare Returns
Clare is back for a second season on Bachelor in Paradise. She thinks her attitude is different this time. Chris told her that a hurricane is just off-shore and wondered if it was an omen that Hurricane Clare was coming. He then gave her a Date Card and sent her off to join the others. She is hoping that Tanner, Kirk, or Jared are there. She is not worried about ruffling any feather. So, yeah, this will bring some drama for sure.
