Joe can't believe that Sam would agree to go on a date with someone after what they had. Basically, he doesn't see that she did the same thing to him that he did to Juelia. Sam came to talk to him and she said she was thinking about him a lot and decided it wasn't fair to go on a date with someone when she was thinking about him. He was ecstatic!
Justin decides to ask Amber out instead. She said Dan has been moving slowly after their date, so she decides to accept his offer, to see if it makes Dan jealous.
Before asking her out, he said he didn't have Plan B., so I wonder what he's going to do. Joshua asked Chris if he was going to ask anyone else, and if not, rather than let it go to waste, he would like to use it with Tenley. Ha! Chris told him to make good use of it.
Nick asks Chris what he's going to do now. Chris says he might as well go home. He took off (or stumbled off, I should say), and took off his mic, and just wandered into the distance.
Justin & Amber's Date
I couldn't be less excited to see a date with these two. She made it clear (to us) that she was there for Dan, and out of this date, the best case scenario would be to make a friend out of Justin and make Dan jealous.
They end up doing some salsa dancing with a large group. Justin was very, very awkward.
After a short time on their date, she kind of started falling for him...and ended up making out with him in the ocean.
Chris Bukowsi Arrives
It's none other than Chris Bukowski...the guy who just won't give up. He is on every year!
Chris Harrison asks what we're all thinking: "What are you doing here?" He said his hopes are always high. Chris H. says "Maybe 5th time is the charm." Yeah, and maybe pigs fly.
Tanner calls him a legend and says that he is tough competition. Really, Tanner? Come on! The girls all know what a loser he is. You should be glad he's there because your chances of staying are that much better because of him! I find it really hard to believe that he would be able to make a relationship by the time of the next Rose Ceremony.
Chris takes his good old time deciding who to ask out on his date. In the meantime, he has A LOT to drink. He is plastered. He almost drowned in the pool and he almost fell into the fire. Apparently he's going to ask Tenley on his date, and everyone else feels bad for her. Dan just can't wait to watch him ask her. He finally asks Tenley out. She said she is flattered and if she accepts, it's only as a friend. She said she wanted to think about it, but if he wanted to ask someone else he should. Since he was drunk, he wasn't quite getting what she was saying. She really tried to force him to ask someone else. She said she has romantic feelings for Joshua and she doesn't really want to go with him as friends. She felt bad that she might have hurt his feelings.
Joshua & Tenley's Date
They spend the day with a celebrity chef and they will be tasting a lot of different foods. This included some very hot peppers! Not much else happens on this date, other than they have some aphrodisiac cheese, and Joshua thinks it's working.
Dan & Amber & Samantha
When Amber got back from her date with Justin, she immediately goes to find Dan. She tells him about the kiss and that she had fun. She said she was thinking about him in the back of her head. She isn't sure if that means anything to him because she doesn't know how he feels. He said when she got asked on the date, he said he didn't have the feeling of wishing she wouldn't go. He said he isn't sure those feelings are there and he doesn't want to lead her on or give her false hope. He said he's glad she's there and they did have a great time on their date. He said he thinks they will always be friends, and she now feels like crap. He said he would rather tell her now, than "pull a Joe". Haha! So apparently, that's a thing now! He doesn't want to lead her on just to get a rose.
Dan now likes Samantha, and he tells Carly that she is the only one that he could see himself with. What does this woman have over everyone? Even after all she's done, really?! He hopes to make it known to her his feelings, and make sure she knows what she's getting into with Joe.
Cocktail Party
Jared pulls Ashley I. aside. Logically, she doesn't think she should give him a rose because he rejected her, but her heart says to not let her go. She tells him that she is much more articulate through writing, so she wrote him a letter. He is to read it, and then not find her right away. He needs to process it first. And of course, this is not a short letter, it is like 4 pages! Someone on Twitter mentioned the letter that Rachel wrote to Ross on Friends and this is totally like that! Let's hope that Jared doesn't fall asleep reading the letter before he finishes it like Ross did. Jared starts to read the letter out loud. She said he has every quality that she looks for in a guy. He is better than Tom Brady (?!). He gasps when he sees that it is front and back!
Amber is freaking out because she doesn't know what to do. Justin said he would love to stay, but she sees him more as a friend. Jared is her second choice, so she thinks she might have to explore him as an option. She said she knew that Ashley was writing him a letter, but she wanted to know if she would give him a rose, would he accept it. Amber then warns Ashley of her interest in Jared. Ashley's like "this is so messed up".
Dan talks to Samantha and he wants to know what she sees in Joe. He said he's a good judge of character and he doesn't want to see her end up with a bad guy. He said when he showed up he got a bad feeling about him. He said he's living a lie and is not being himself. He is afraid of being exposed as the real person he is...the person that he was to Juelia. Joe thinks Dan is desperate for a rose and will do/say anything to get one. Him bad-talking Joe is his way of ensuring a rose. He decided to break up Dan and Samantha's conversation before he can badmouth him too much. He told Samantha that he now was the best time to tell her...when they walk through this valley, and up these steps...(kiss). So, he didn't really want to tell her anything, he just wanted to get her out of sight of Dan and kiss her...apparently to remind her of just how amazing he is. Barf. He then returned her to Dan like he promised. Dan said he wanted to make sure she knew everything now so she doesn't go home and find out exactly who he is and what he's done. He thinks the first time she goes out with her friends and her phone dies, he's going to freak out. She said she has seen nothing negative with him. She doesn't know why people keep saying things about him. Wait, she was here for the whole Juelia aftermath, right?! Juelia tried to tell her how he played her. Why is this news to her?

Ashley I. -- Jared (and his look was like, darn, and she kind of put his rose on without officially asking him if he would accept it...he looked so disappointed)
Amber -- Justin (she REALLY wanted to give her rose to Jared, but she went to her second choice and she told him that she thinks he deserves to explore another week)
Samantha -- Dan (he was so giddy when she said his name! ...and Joe? less than enthused)
Samantha's choice had everyone shocked! She finally realized what a jerk he is and she doesn't know why it took her so long to figure it out. She told the girls that she was done with the drama.
So, after the shit hit the fan, Joe is going home. Joe is confused. Samantha said there was too much drama. He said there was no drama until she talked to Dan. She said there has been drama since the beginning. He accuses her of leading him on the entire time. He said she told him that she was going to give him the rose. She said she thought she was. Those two actually deserve each other for all the crap they've put everyone through. They each played each other and everyone else. She said she was so swept away on their first date and she was blinded. He accuses her of being in on hurting Juelia. She still won't own up to her part in the whole thing. Joe said he thinks that the whole group deserves to see the texts that she sent him. She said that isn't her. Wow...she just isn't going to get it. Whip out those texts and let's just get it over with!
In the limo on his exit, Joe said that if he sees Dan again, he promises that there will be an altercation. He really thought he would be leaving paradise with Samantha. Joe whips out his phone to show the camera the texts that she sent.
Chelsie Arrives
Out of nowhere, Chelsie shows up. No one is ready for this right now. They are still reeling from the whole Samantha/Joe/Dan thing.
Carly fills Chelsie in on who is paired up. She said that Dan is totally available and she thinks she should ask him out. This was all mainly a plan to get Dan to give out his rose to someone other than Samantha so she will go home.
