Cocktail Party
There are 3 more girls than there are guys, so there will be 3 girls going home.
Jade said a lot of things needed to be said tonight to make things right. They all confronted Joe and Samantha about what was done...yet again. They think that Joe is starting to own up to what he did, but Samantha isn't. Joe is saying that they talked before the show, but she is still denying it. She looks like an idiot right now because she's clearly lying. Joe wouldn't be lying and saying they did if they really didn't, so that makes it pretty darn obvious that she's lying. Again, not much is accomplished by this conversation.
Since the last cocktail party, Ashley I. hasn't gotten much from Jared. He kissed her then, and now there isn't a whole lot going on between them. But, he does kiss her again and she thinks they have more chemistry than what they started with. She said she is a much better kisser with Jared than she was with Chris's "paper thin lips". Ouch! She thinks they are totally on the same page right now. You know what that means...he's going to probably drop a bomb on her (judging from the previews).
People are trying to convince JJ to give Juelia his rose so she can stay. He's clearly set on giving it to Megan. Juelia doesn't want a sympathy rose, so she goes to Chris and says she wanted a fair chance at love. She wondered if there was any way that Mikey could come back. She said what Joe did to her was unfair and someone who didn't deserve to go home did.
Rose Ceremony
Joshua -- Tenley
Jared -- Ashley I.
Kirk -- Carly
Tanner -- Jade
JJ -- Ashley S. (wait, what?! what just happened?) He said he broke up with someone to come here and he realized now that she's who he wanted...so he's leaving! He hopes the girl back home feels the same, otherwise he will look silly. Wow, didn't see that one coming.
Joe -- Samantha
Dan -- Amber; before giving the rose to Amber, Dan pulled Carly off to the side because he was having a dilemma. Everyone wanted him to give the rose to Juelia, but he didn't know what to do
Going home: Clare, Juelia, Megan
On Juelia's way out, she finds Mikey. He told her they had a spark from the beginning and he was there to see if they could give things a chance between them. So...since JJ left, he gets to come back, and so does she. Joe looks totally peeved...he looks like he wants to kill Mikey right now. Joe and Samantha made some snide comments under their breath about being over Juelia and her drama.
OK, back to JJ. I'll admit he came across way better on Bachelor in Paradise than he did on The Bachelorette. Like way better. But...the rest of the cast is like in love with him and think he's the sweetest guy ever. I'm not quite seeing that.
Date Card: Tanner
Well, I wonder who he's going to pick? Sure enough, he picks Jade. They're like an old married couple right now. Kind of like Marcus and Lacey's last season.
They take a flight to Guadalajara and then to Tequila, Mexico. They are at a tequila refinery. Not a lot going on on this date.
Tanner is smitten, and he can't imagine his life without her, so that must mean that he's falling in love with her. They get a "fantasy suite" key and are both excited to use it for some alone time.
Tanner tells her exactly how he feels about her, but he's also afraid that somehow their lives will take them in different directions and he won't be able to see their relationship through. He said he is falling for her, and she gave him assurance that she was falling for him too and it's real for her. They're so cute together!
Nick Arrives
Nick is hoping Samantha is there. He said they talked before the show and pretty much knew that they would both be coming to the show. Uh oh...Joe's perfect woman played him! So, Joe played Juelia, and in a fun turn of events, he was blindsided by the same thing! He's not going to know what hit him! Karma baby. Samantha is really not coming off too well on this season, is she?
Without any hesitation, or discussion with anyone, he asks Samantha if she wants to go talk. He knows she will accept his offer because she told him she would. They all think Joe will internally combust if Samantha accepts his offer to a date. She said it was good to see him, and she was glad he was there. Shockingly, she actually told him no! Whoa! Mikey thinks she wants to go on the date with Nick, but she is afraid of what Joe would do.
Nick told Mikey that they had talked for a couple months before the show. Nick now thinks that she was leading him on because it's clear that she was talking to both him and Joe at the same time. Mikey fills him in on the whole Joe/Samantha fiasco. Mikey told him that his best bet for a rose would be to ask Ashley S. He said he didn't care who he goes with, he just wants to have fun.
Nick & Ashley S.'s Date
They were going to go to an island, but a guy with very broken English told them that the island was closed because it was dangerous. There was a hurricane coming. They weren't getting that at all. The guy just left them there...he was like "I gotta go" and just left. They were clueless as to what they were supposed to do. Should they follow him?
Their substitute date was to go for massages and drink a lot of tequila. Like, A LOT! Shot after shot after shot. They got pretty hammered, really quickly. Ashley S. drunk, is about the same as regular Ashley S.
Nick can't figure her out, because she's a little "out there". Of course. there are birds on this date, and of course, they are "talking" to her.
Before long, they are totally making out. Even though they are both hammered, she thinks she has way more chemistry with Nick than with Dan. She's trying to explain the chemistry, and she goes off into one of her zoned out, incoherent episodes. She's not making any sense whatsoever.
Ashley I. and Jared
Jared is realizing that Ashley has stronger feelings for him that she does for him. He needs to break it off with her because she's a nice girl.
Ashley said the other guys were doing nice things with their girls and she wanted to do the same thing. She arranged for them to have a nice little date on the beach.
As they get started talking, it starts to rain -- mimicking the mood. Jared said it's hard because he doesn't want to lead her on. He said she is such a sweet girl and he wants her to really get to experience paradise. He doesn't want her to turn down a date from someone else who might ask her out just because of him. He's not sure how he feels about her and he doesn't want to hold her back from potentially having a connection with someone else. She realizes he's still hung up on Kaitlyn and she breaks down crying (shocker). She didn't want to talk to him any more and said he should just go. He said he didn't want to leave her while she was upset (because he's a gentleman), but she insisted he go. I'm assuming it's because she knows she's an ugly crier and she is a hot mess when she starts to cry uncontrollably. She now sees that this is because he is too perfect and she is doomed to be alone forever.
Ashley then CALLS KAITLYN! She says "what did you do to Jared?!" She said he's obsessed with her. Not sure where in the world she got all that from. Kaitlyn asked if there was something she could do and Ashley said it was too late.
Joe and Samantha
Joe tries desperately to keep Samantha. She is acting weird around him. She admits that she is and she's not sure how she feels. She said the drama is making him out to maybe not be a good person. He agrees to leave her alone and he's really confused, because one minute she's making out with him on the beach, and the next she is wanting space and is all paranoid.
Later, he decided to throw himself a birthday celebration for just himself and Samantha to try to win her over. He brought a plate that had "Happy birthday Joe" written in chocolate. She said things are just weird and there's so much drama. She said everything started when he entered her world. She sees things happening and is trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe in what they had. But, she sees so much drama and red flags and she can't handle it. She said she had an amazing first date and he said if it was amazing then what's wrong. She said it's all the drama. He said there was no drama today. Yes, Joe, but there's been A LOT of drama every other day. He doesn't understand, and he now thinks she is not the person he thought she was.
Samantha then addresses the group and tells them that Joe was not the one for her and she broke it off with him. He is pissed because she is laughing with the group like nothing happened. He said there were 700 text messages between them and he did what he was told by her, which was to do whatever it takes to stay. He led Juelia on in order to stay to meet her. Now she wants nothing to do with him. He thinks she's a bitch and he can't believe she played him.
