The Perfect Pair task. The pairs will battle until there is only one pair left. That pair will earn $30,000 of the prize money.
Jason & Dion have the opportunity to split up pairs who they think are the strongest and who they consider to be the biggest threats. They will switch 2 sets of pairs. Those swaps will be permanent.
The viewers are polled to see who they think is the strongest pair, and Sonja lets Jason & Dion know what they think. The public voted for Travis & Ryan with 53% (Jake & Gemma got the least number of votes).
Jason & Dion decide to split up Travis & Ryan (nooo!) and Cat & Sam. That means that the 2 new pairs are Travis & Cat and Ryan & Sam.
Both pairs were sad to say goodbye to their partners, but they are happy with their new partners and think they will get along pretty well.
Punishment: Katie & Priya
Katie was seen destroying one of Big Brother's pillows (she took the stuffing out). Their punishment was to go into the fish bowl and separate confetti. They had to separate the silver and red confetti pieces with tweezers, and they couldn't come out until they were done. They used this opportunity to discuss who they were going to nominate.
Intruder Alert!
It's so early for intruders...but it's now who you would expect. It's 2 poodles! The small poodle is Ned and the large poodle is Kelly. They are a pair because they were surrendered to the shelter together and they've been together ever since. How fitting for this season of pairs. They are so cute! They are running all over and Kelly jumped in the pool. Jason & Dion were given the responsibility of choosing caregivers, and they chose Skye & Lisa.
The Perfect Pair Championships
This will be a week long knockout competition.
Round 1: Head-to-Head Quiz
Sandra & David vs. Priya & Katie:
The rest of the house is the jury. They decide an answer to the question, then the pairs have to decide what the house voted. The first pair to get 3 correct answers wins. At the end of 3 rounds, they were both tied with 3, and went to a tie-breaker.
WINNERS: David & Sandra
Round 2: Housemate Ranking
Lisa & Skye vs. Aisha & Lawson:
The rest of the house ranks themselves from Least to Most. The pairs have to guess what category they are ranking. The first pair to get 3 correct answers wins. Aisha & Lawson were 3-3 and Skye & Lisa were 0-3.
WINNERS: Aisha & Lawson
Round 3: Know Your Partner
Jake & Gemma vs. Travis & Cat
Travis and Jake have to guess their partner's answers to a number of different categories. Travis & Cat are at a bit of a disadvantage because they haven't been a pair as long as Jake & Gemma. After 5 rounds, they each had 3 correct and had to go to a tie-breaker.
WINNERS: Jake & Gemma
Nominations
As in the past, the pairs will have 5 points to nominate 2 pairs with. Dion & Jason, as the Heads of House have 10 points to nominate with, AND they can nominate as many pairs as they want.
Priya & Katie -- Jake & Gemma-3 and Travis & Cat-2
Aisha & Lawson -- David & Sandra-3 and Jake & Gemma-2
Travis & Cat -- Jake & Gemma-3 and David & Sandra-2
Ryan & Sam -- Jake & Gemma-4 and Skye & Lisa-1
David & Sandra -- Skye & Lisa-4 and Jake & Gemma-1
Skye & Lisa -- David & Sandra-4 and Ryan & Sam-1
Jake & Gemma -- Travis & Cat-4 and David & Sandra-1
Dion & Jason -- Jake & Gemma-4, David & Sandra-4, Skye & Lisa-2
Jason & Dion and Aisha & Lawson were the only pairs not to receive votes (aside from the immune Priya & Katie).
Nominated:
Jake & Gemma - 17
David & Sandra - 14
Skye & Lisa - 7
Travis & Cat - 6
I was wondering how the evictions were going to work. Surely, 2 people wouldn't be evicted. They've always said that they would nominate as pairs and be nominated as pairs, but they never said they would be evicted as pairs. So, we find out that the pair with the lowest number of votes--one will stay and one will go...and the housemates will decide!!! That's huge!
The Perfect Pair Championships: Semi-Finals
Round 4: The Last Stand
David & Sandra vs. Aisha & Lawson
This is an endurance competition--the pair to stand on their pillar for the longest wins. Sandra wants to give up because she just isn't that motivated by money.
WINNER: Aisha & Lawson
HOH
It is announced that no one in the house is the HOH this week...it's someone else! Guess who?! IT'S TIM!! Tim Dormer, winner of BBAU 2013, and one of my favorite people ever! This is going to be so awesome!!! He's so excited. He gets to live with them and learn about them, and then he will decide which person is going to be the first individual HOH.
Tim greets the housemates, and he tells them that after this week's eviction, the pairs will be no more. Gemma (who has been trying to stir the pot), gets up and leaves in tears...all for show. Jake goes with her, and then some of the girls go to see if she's OK. Everything was rehashed about how she thinks if it comes down to her and Jake that she will go because no one likes her. Lisa said it's because she's so negative all the time. Then Tim comes to talk to her and comfort her...like only Tim can.
Tim stirs the pot by talking about who likes who and brings up all kinds of things that makes everyone nervous and uncomfortable...including spin the bottle in the hot tub.
Tim will be spending the night in the Sanctuary, and he gets to choose one other housemate, and he chooses David. He thinks David is interesting and he wants to know what David is thinking about the game. Tim advises him to be careful how he talks to and about the girls. He has to be careful because now that the whole house is pointing their finger at him, he's a target. Tim thinks maybe he should shave his beard to make a big statement. "How close are you to the beard?" Please, David, please! Listen to Tim...he knows what he's talking about! David doesn't want to do it because he got there because of the beard. Tim said he thought about shaving his head in the game to make a statement. He said by doing this he would be making a big move and put him above. David said it would be what the house wants and it's not who he is. He doesn't want to conform. He said the girls have told him to shave and he thinks that by doing that he would be seeking their approval. Tim said it's not conforming, it's making a statement...just like Tim putting himself up for eviction. David looks like he's starting to consider it because he doesn't want to go home and he would do just about anything to stay. Tim said he likes him and the house needs someone like him...a misfit...in the house. He's starting to believe how epic this move would be and he would love the shock value. He's getting there...he asked Tim if he would do it...and he's a go! Yes, I love it! "Welcome to Tim's Barbershop!" It took him 9 months to grow, and only a few minutes to get rid of it. I can't wait to see what the housemates think!
