The Voice, Ep. 7.4

More Blind Auditions...

Team Adam

Ethan Butler, 25
This really is not my style at all. I recognized the song, but just barely because he really changed it a lot. He's got a pretty good voice, but I think he will be very forgettable in the competition.
Turnarounds: 2

Chris Jamison, 20
LOVE him! I love this John Mayer song. He did an amazing job. His voice is so smooth. I loved everything about his voice and the performance. And then he threw in some falsetto too. He added some really cool things to the song, and he showed just how much he can do with his voice. It was done in such a tasteful way that made sense with the song, and wasn't overdone. That was like the perfect audition. Wow.
Turnarounds: 4

Jonathan Wyndham, 22
I love this guy! Perfect song choice. He had a very sweet vulnerability, which this song requires. He's not too bad on the eyes either. I haven't heard too many people who sound like him. The more he sang, the more I liked it. Can't wait to see him do more!
Turnarounds: 4

Team Blake

Tanner Linford, 17
His voice has gotten a lot better since his audition last year. He's a lot more confident this time and his voice is definitely more mature. He almost didn't make it and Blake turned just at the very, very last second.
Turnarounds: 1

Craig Wayne Boyd, 35
I didn't know what kind of voice to expect from him. I didn't like the song, but I think he's got a pretty good voice. I would be interested to hear him do something else. He talked about being a rocker but because of his twang he was told to go country. I would go the rock route instead.
Turnarounds: 2

Team Gwen

Jean Kelley, 29
Great song choice. I like the little differences she added to the song. She has a really strong voice. I don't know if she stands out enough for originality, but maybe they can work with her on that.
Turnarounds: 2

Amanda Lee Peers, 29
I really like her style. She picked a great song, and it really suited her voice. She's a real performer and she knows how to work the stage. I really enjoyed that performance a lot. I'm anxious to hear her do some more things.
Turnarounds: 1

Team Pharrell

Katriz Trinidad, 15
One of my all-time hated songs..."At Last". That said, she has a beautiful voice for such a young girl. She has a very mature sound, and her tone is so well-rounded and full. She seemed to have so much control over her voice. Her runs and that range is crazy!
Turnarounds: 3

Toia Jones, 29
Wow, she has got some pipes! That vibrato is crazy. And she just kept getting louder!

The Voice, Ep. 7.3

The Blind Auditions continue

Team Adam

Kelli Douglas, 31
She started out kind of rocky, and I think her nerves are showing. I don't think she was in the right key. Once she hit the chorus though, it was really good. I can't help but think of the show Raising Hope when I hear this song because of the couple of times they did the song.

Mia Pfiirrman, 19
I feel like she's kind of all over the place. As she got going, it got better. She had some crazy runs at the end. I think any of the coaches will be able to help her hone in on the things she does well. She was OK, but I don't think she was 4-chair worthy.
Turnarounds: 4

Team Blake

John Martin, 25
This guy is cute! Cool start with the whistling. I love the guitar...obviously. He's got a really cool voice. His voice reminds me of the guy from Florez. He has such a cool laid back vibe...totally my style. Love him!
Turnarounds: 3

Bree Fondacaro, 24
I don't think I care for her voice. She's got kind of a weird whisper thing going on. It's quite bizarre. When she forces her voice louder, it sounds a little better. Yeah, I'm not a fan of this. Maybe with a different song I would think differently, but I'm not sure.
Turnarounds: 1

Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 19.5

Theme: Movie Night

Randy & Karina - Paso Doble
Movie: Rocky
This is definitely right up his alley. I love the way her dress makes such pretty shapes when she twirls it like a cape. There was no doubt he was going to come out strong in this dance. But I think he could have actually brought even more to it. It was a nice job though. Julianne had a good point about his timing. That was what was wrong with it...he didn't have the timing to hit all the points really sharply.
Score: 26

Alfonso & Witney - Quickstep
Movie: Austin Powers Goldmember
This is going to be absolutely awesome! It's too bad he has to do it to the Quickstep. There's even a Mini Me! Haha! Look at those feet go! I hope they like his frame because I think he's doing a pretty good job...especially considering that we all know he loves to get jiggy with it! I loved Witney's choreography! It was so cool! She incorporated a little disco in there and it was really fun!
Score: 32

Betsy & Tony - Contemporary
Movie: Ghost
Besty looks great again tonight. I hope she sticks with looking like this because it's a great improvement from her "normal" look. She floated and looked so timeless. It was really beautiful! I never imagined I would say that about any of her dances before this season started. She really is blowing my mind! 72 YEARS OLD! Wow!
Score: 29

BBAU 11: Week 3 Recap

Week 3...

David Returns
David returns from the sanctuary as a new man! He looks absolutely, completely like a different person! They were so shocked, and I think he looks amazing! Way to go Tim for convincing him to do it. Best thing ever! I love that they played an "In Memoriam" for his beard to "Oh Danny Boy"..hilarious!

HOH
Tim gets to choose the first solo Head of House. Tim chooses Lawson. I love that Tim did Lawson's magic hands move to make his announcement.

Tim's Picks to Win
Tim picked a guy and girl to watch for that could possibly win, and he picked Skye and Lawson. He said Priya is one to watch because she's really smart and walks around like she owns the place. He thinks Gemma's strategy is a dumb one and she needs to read the strategy handbook. I totally agree!

David
David smuggled chocolate out of the Sanctuary to share with Sandra. They shared it under the covers. It's clear that he is trying to be a different person, and it's a change for the better. The other housemates can't get over how good he looks. He said it's still weird looking at himself in the mirror. He said he feels like he has a new lease on life.

Perfect Pairs Challenge: Semifinals
Living Together:  Jake & Gemma vs. Jason & Dion

The pairs get into a teeny, tin little house barely big enough for the both of them. They crawl in under the house, as it's open on the bottom. The challenge is to see who can stay in the houses the longest. They have 2 bottles of water to share, but they are not allowed to have any food passed to them. They can't see anything that's going on on the outside. They can move around, but if their house is lifted too far off the ground they will be disqualified.

At one point, the houses went head to head and were pushing against each other. Jake & Gemma got stuck by the pool and couldn't move. Jason & Dion pushed ahead, and cornered them against the hot tub. They kept pushing them in "House Wars". Travis was trying to walk them through how to unstick themselves, but Jason & Dion were almost pushing them in the pool! LOL!

Big Brother told both groups that they could get out of their houses, and told them that the winner would be decided by a tie-breaker. They have to guess how long they spent in the little house, in minutes and seconds.

Jake & Gemma guessed: 5 hours 5 minutes 5 seconds
Jason & Dion guessed: 5 hours 25 minutes 10 seconds

The real time is: 6 hours 19 minutes 41 seconds which means that Jason & Dion win! Woohoo!

Perfect Pair Grand Final

Amazing Race, Ep. 25.1

And...they're off!!! Let the race begin!

If you didn't catch my preview post with team bios, check it out here.

In a change this season, the teams have a public start, right in the middle of Time Square. Another new twist: the first team at the first pitstop earns a save. They can use it up to the 9th leg, and if they are eliminated, with the save, they get to keep racing. Also a fun note: the race started on May 31, which is Phil Keoghan's birthday!

Leg 1:
They are off to Flushing Meadow Park. The teams get into cabs, and within the first few minutes, they are already stuck in traffic.

The teams are heading to St. Thomas. This is so crazy, because my Mom and I were just there a few weeks ago on our cruise! There are 2 flights, one arriving before the other.

Once arriving, they have to sign up for spots on a sea plane.
Flight 1: Bethany & Adam and Tim & Te Jay
Flight 2: Misti & Jim and Kym & Alli
Flight 3: Dennis & Isabelle
Flight 4: Keith & Whitney and Shelley & Nici
Flight 5: Amy & Maya and Lisa & Michelle
Flight 6: Michael & Scott and Brooke & Robbie

A scramble at the board for the last flights, and the sisters push the firefighters out of the way and steal the pen to get their names on the 5th flight. Lisa & Michelle are now seen as the bullies of the group.

Route Info: Look Before You Leap
Teams have to jump off a cliff to find their clue in the water. Already Tim & Te Jay are getting annoying. I think they're going to be whiners this whole race. Meanwhile, Bethany, with one arm, is climbing to the top without much trouble at all.

They take their clue to Blackbeard's ship for their next clue, which is for them to take a little wobbly boat to shore...to get to the Road Block.

Brooke & Robbie get into some trouble in their boat and they tip over. Michael & Scott whiz passed them in their boat.

Road Block: Worth It's Weight In Gold
Use a compass to locate a treasure chest buried in the sand, and it will contain their next clue. Each team will have different coordinates.

Alli goes to what she thinks is an anchor, even though it was a bell. She didn't see an actual anchor anywhere.

And again, Tim is whining. His sad digging skills are pathetic. He said his compass is broke, and then yells "Medic!" What?! Oh my goodness!

Jim is the first to get his treasure chest.

The groups that were on the 2nd flight to the Virgin Islands are now catching up. Shelley has to tell Robbie how to use the compass. And then there's Lisa who thinks the sun sets in the East and rises in the West.

Somehow Tim manages to find his chest...I thought maybe he would just give up. Wishful thinking.

Robbie finds his before Shelley...I guess that's why you don't offer assistance.

Dennis finally realizes he was going the right way, and immediately finds his chest.

Shelley screams like a banshee when she found her chest.

I'm getting a little worried for Keith & Whitney. Come on Keith! It's starting to get dark...you're not going to find it that way! Keith is like totally ready to give up and they show the location  is just feet away!!! Seriously, you're going to give up! So, now they have to convince the others to also take the penalty and then try to race it out. Wow. Lisa & Michelle were all in because they had no clue what they were doing. Michael & Scott also agree to take the 4 hour penalty.

Keith & Whitney are fist into the cabs. Michael & Scott were beaten by the girls once and they weren't going to let that happen again, so they pushed the girls out of a cab.

Pitstop #1:
1. Misti & Jim -- they earn the Save
2. Tim & Te Jay
3. Kim & Alli
4. Brooke & Robbie
5. Adam & Bethany
6. Amy & Maya
7. Dennis & Isabelle
8. Shelley & Nici
9. Michael & Scott
10. Keith & Whitney
11. Lisa & Michelle -- eliminated

That was a close one! Lisa & Michelle were just feet behind the last 2 teams.

Big Brother, Ep. 16.40

During the Survivor finale, they showed a behind the scenes look at the final 3 preparing for the live show. Derrick was practicing his speech, Cody was practicing his speech. And Victoria? In true Victoria fashion, she was looking in the mirror and putting on her lipstick. Ha!

HOH Comp Part 1
Victoria just couldn't do it...and she's out! Sorry Victoria, but I didn't even want you to make it to Part 3 of this comp. I want to see these boys battle it out.

Cody and Derrick decide what to do. They thought Cody should win the endurance comp and Derrick would go against Victoria in the mental comp. But, Derrick starts to doubt himself. Cody can't believe he would doubt that he can beat Victoria. Derrick was really hoping that Cody would step down and let him get straight to Part 3, but Cody wasn't backing down. He said winning the endurance comp would make him feel good. Ultimately, Derrick did step down and let Cody have his win.

HOH Comp Part 2
They go individually and have to match up houseguest faces with when they were on the evicted and who they were up against...all while swinging on a harness.

Yes, it's not only mental, but also physical. Derrick has GOT THIS! He's a little worried since Victoria has been nominated 9 times, so if anyone would know the nominees it would be her.

But it's Victoria. She's going slow because she can't maneuver the wall. Plus, she doesn't know some of the faces really well, so she assumes they went home early in the game. Ha!

Derrick's time: 15:29
Victoria's time: 30:03

Woohoo! I was a little worried with his time, but I should have known better...it's Victoria. She couldn't even get lucky in one competition.

Jury Talk
I'm glad the jury respects the fact that Derrick had never been nominated once! That has to be a record! And like Caleb said, with the BOB, there were 4 people on the block and he still managed to avoid the block every week!

They said that Derrick was a master manipulator and knew how to talk to all of them and found ways to bond with each of them. They formed such a bond that they would feel sorry about betraying him, even though he was betraying him.

They said Cody didn't show his potential early on, but he's come on very strong.

As for Victoria, Hayden thinks that she was playing dumb at least a little bit. Zach said he didn't think she knew she was playing Big Brother. They said she must have done something right because she's still there. I hate the fact that Jocasta and Caleb both said that if Victoria makes it to the Final 2 they are voting for her. Are you nuts! Get some sense people! I hope they don't even have an option. It better be a Derrick/Cody Final 2 or I'm going to lose it!

I really hope some of these jury members lose their bitterness in the next hour, because they need to give Derrick what he deserves.

HOH Comp Part 3

Survivor, Ep. 29.1

Who's ready for some Survivor? This girl! I'm so excited for what I'm sure is going to be another awesome season! If you missed my preview post with cast bios, be sure to check it out here.

Let's get it started! The pairs are dropped off apart from the rest of the Survivors. They get a message telling them to set up camp for the night. They will need to make fire and shelter by themselves with the help of some flint and steel. Rupert says "Hey, where did they get flint and steel?"

Alec & Drew do pretty well and get some fire going, but not without some sibling rivalry.

Nadiya & Natalie, no surprise, did a lot of yelling at each other while trying to make the fire. And then as the helicopter flies overhead, they yell "We need help!" Ha!

Keith & Wes fight over who lost their striker in the sand. They started to get it going, but then their flint broke.

Orange buffs are Coyopa
Blue buffs are Hunahpu

Reward Challenge
Blue wins Rock, Paper, Scissors and chooses Jeremy to compete. Jeff then reveals that he will be dueling his wife Val. The winner wins flint and beans for their tribe. The loser goes to Exile Island to live with no shelter and little food. They won't be around to start forming alliances. They will come back right before the Immunity Challenge.

The challenge is to go through an obstacle course attached to a rope. They are going move for move, it's so close! Jeremy gets out first, and Val is stuck.

Next they have to lasso 2 wood platforms and pull them back. Jeremy gets the first one and goes back for his next ring. And he gets his second platform! Jeremy wins for blue, and his wife Val is off to Exile. Such an emotional moment.

Jeff reveals that Jeremy will also have to pick someone from his own tribe to join her in Exile! He chooses Keith because he knows that he knows how to start fire and he can help take care of his wife.

Hunahpu Camp
Jeremy and Kelley form a quick alliance. He then pulls in Natalie for a third. She calls him her designated "twinnie". Oh dear, here we go. Jeremy approaches Missy next. Noticing a theme here? Yep, he's going for all the women. And he's going at a rapid pace too. Has no one watched this show before? It never works to start playing so hard right from the beginning.

Drew takes over building the shelter, just because no one else was doing it. Basically because Jeremy was off making alliances. Drew seems to really think highly of himself. Lots of self compliments to go around.

Jon starts making friends with the monkeys.

Coyopa Camp
John takes charge in building the shelter...and then belches loudly. Just what I figured...he's going to be really annoying.

Dale immediately feels the age difference. He broke his glasses...on purpose...in order to double up the lenses to make fire quicker. Smart move or dumb move? Smart move because now everyone loves him. Bad move...he can't see now.

Josh starts having trouble with his eyes. They are very red and are really burning. They are only 3 days in. Josh asked if there were any plants that might have caused the burning. They think they figured out that it was the leaves that they used to build their roof. So, they proceeded to rip all the leaves back off the roof and get rid of them right away.

The Voice, Ep. 7.2

The Blind Auditions continue...

Team Adam

Joe Kirk, 17
How cute is he! He has such a sweet voice! He killed that Ed Sheeran song, which just happens to be a song that I love. I haven't really heard anyone else be able to do it as good as Ed. There was something so soft, innocent and easy about his voice. So good!
Turnarounds: 4

Team Blake

Reagan James, 15
She is amazing for only 15! What an interesting voice! I love her! She really seemed to understand how to use her voice and do some really cool things with it.
Turnarounds: 2

Taylor Brashears, 21
I'm not feelin' this country girl. It's way too much country for me. Even as a country singer, I didn't think her voice was that good.
Turnarounds: 3

Team Gwen

Menlik Zergabachew, 19
Love the song choice! It suits him really well. He's got a really cool vibe. His tone is so smooth and effortless. I love the little, tiny ways he changed the song. This is my favorite of the night so far!
Turnarounds: 2

Sugar Joans, 24
She came out firing! What a powerhouse! I wouldn't say I was totally blown away, but she definitely had a good voice.
Turnarounds: 2

Team Pharrell

Danica Shirey, 25
I think her runs were a little bit too over the top. I wasn't a fan of the song choice either. Her voice was good though. Not overly impressed, but I think she has potential with a better song.
Turnarounds: 3

Taylor Phelan, 25
Interesting guy. I'm trying to think who his voice reminds me of. He's got something special. I really love the different things he did with his voice and with the song. It was just really cool! I loved it! His guitar playing was really good too.
Turnarounds: 4

Maya Sykes, 36
She is definitely a good singer. Did she bring anything new to the table? No. There's hundreds of other people who sound just like her, and many of them have been on The Voice every season. She's the classic singer with a big voice.
Turnarounds: 4

The Voice, Ep. 7.1

Season 7 is here! We have 2 new coaches in the chairs this season joining Adam and Blake. The Blind Auditions open with Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams making their debut.

As the Blind Auditions unfold, the 4 coaches will be building their teams of 12. I will be recapping the singers who make it on each team, in no particular order.

Team Adam

Clara Hong, 22
I did not expect that voice! I didn't care for the song because I don't think it truly showcased her voice. She's got a lot of potential.
Turnarounds: 3

Damien, 35
This is such a great Boyz II Men song. It only took a couple words for Adam, Gwen and Pharrell to turn around. This was a beautiful rendition of the song. He has a beautiful tone, and a really nice range. He had a very strong ending, and there was so much heart and feeling behind those big notes. Those big notes finally won Blake over, and rightly so. I'm excited to see what kinds of things he will do throughout the season.
Turnarounds: 4

Team Blake

Allison Bray, 18
Allison tried out last season and got no chair turns. She had better luck this time. I was a little surprised no one turned last season. I think she has a pretty voice, but I'm not totally blown away by it. It might have been the song choice this time around.
Turnarounds: 3

James David Carter, 34
I've never heard this song done as a country song. Normally, I wouldn't care so much about it because it's country, but this actually wasn't too bad. I think he has a versatile voice that could sound good on some other genres besides country (which I'm hoping for). I really liked this performance a lot. I think he's got a lot of potential. And...he's cute, so that helps, too.
Turnarounds: 4

Team Gwen

Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 19.3 & 19.4

Week 2 Theme: My Jam Monday

Randy & Karina -- ChaCha
Randy's Jam: "Satisfaction"
He might not be a one-trick pony...he's got some Latin swivel hips! His smooth moves were kind of a surprise in the Foxtrot last week, and this week, I thought he might be more stiff, but sure enough, he pulled out some good stuff.
Score: 28

Janel & Val -- Foxtrot
Janel's Jam: "Call Me Maybe"
I love this funky and upbeat kind of song for what is usually such a boring and old style. Val made it really cute and fun. I loved it! And of course, she was fabulous. I don't think she will have a bad routine for as long as she's in the competition.
Score: 34

Lea & Artem -- Jive
Lea's Jam: "Land of 1000 Dances"
Look at her go! I can't believe she was able to move that fast! That was actually really good.
Score: 35

Michael & Emma -- Samba

BBAU 11: Week 2 Recap

Power Play: Jason & Dion
The Perfect Pair task. The pairs will battle until there is only one pair left. That pair will earn $30,000 of the prize money.

Jason & Dion have the opportunity to split up pairs who they think are the strongest and who they consider to be the biggest threats. They will switch 2 sets of pairs. Those swaps will be permanent.

The viewers are polled to see who they think is the strongest pair, and Sonja lets Jason & Dion know what they think. The public voted for Travis & Ryan with 53% (Jake & Gemma got the least number of votes).

Jason & Dion decide to split up Travis & Ryan (nooo!) and Cat & Sam. That means that the 2 new pairs are Travis & Cat and Ryan & Sam.

Both pairs were sad to say goodbye to their partners, but they are happy with their new partners and think they will get along pretty well.

Punishment: Katie & Priya
Katie was seen destroying one of Big Brother's pillows (she took the stuffing out). Their punishment was to go into the fish bowl and separate confetti. They had to separate the silver and red confetti pieces with tweezers, and they couldn't come out until they were done. They used this opportunity to discuss who they were going to nominate.

Intruder Alert!
It's so early for intruders...but it's now who you would expect. It's 2 poodles! The small poodle is Ned and the large poodle is Kelly. They are a pair because they were surrendered to the shelter together and they've been together ever since. How fitting for this season of pairs. They are so cute! They are running all over and Kelly jumped in the pool. Jason & Dion were given the responsibility of choosing caregivers, and they chose Skye & Lisa.

Big Brother, Ep. 16.39

Final 2?
So, Cody outs his final 2 alliance with Derrick. I wondered how Victoria would handle this news. Well, she's OK with it because "guess what Cody, I've had an alliance with Derrick since Day 1". Umm....I don't think so. Derrick didn't know you existed until maybe half-way through the game. She is so delusional!

Derrick feels really good right now because he's almost 100% sure that both Cody and Victoria will take him to the final 2 if he doesn't win it himself.

Retrospective
The final 3 have a meal prepared for them. So, as they eat, they reminisce about their time in the house this season.

Victoria just NOW finds out that there was in fact an all-guy alliance called the Bomb Squad in the beginning. Ha!

Cody said that the Bomb Squad is what actually brought him and Derrick together. Without it, they might not have gotten so close.

I forgot how funny it was when Devin woke up Caleb in the middle of the night and told him that he had just invited 2 girls into their all-guy alliance. That was so hilarious! They just couldn't stop laughing at Devin's house meeting and how ridiculous it was.

Donny entertaining himself was hilarious, and sad at the same time. I knew he was alone a lot, but I didn't realize just how much time he spent by himself.

We also get to relive the showmances of the season: Caleb/Amber, Hayden/Nicole and Zach/Frankie.

Nicole gave Zach an atomic wedgie! And it was awesome!!!

The houseguests get a dog named Izzy...WHY HAVE WE NEVER SEEN THIS DOG BEFORE??? Izzy wasn't there long...they "voted to evict her". That was just strange.

HOH Competition - Part 1
This one is endurance. It's about time there's a true endurance comp. Normally, this would be tailor-made for a girl...but...the only girl left is Victoria, so...

They have to hold on to a hang glider handle for as long as possible. Last one hanging on gets a pass to Part 3.

They didn't wait long to start the rain.

Big Brother, Ep. 16.38

Another eviction tonight...who's it gonna be? I am going to be very upset if it is anyone other than Victoria. So...I'm probably going to be pretty upset.

Derrick and Frankie
We see tonight that Derrick confessed to Frankie that he was going home. Derrick said he couldn't lie to him. They shared a really nice moment. I still feel bad for Frankie. Since he lost the Veto, there's nothing else he could do.

Frankie tells the guys that they are reuniting him with his millions of followers/fans and with the jury. And because he thinks he is the most influential speaker in the house...HE will be picking the winner. Wow, he sure thinks highly of himself.

Derrick's Decision
Derrick talks to Victoria, and she knows she's going up, and it continues their fake falling out.

Derrick assures Cody that they will be final 2 and he won't put him on the block. It's the Hitmen to the end. This will prove to Cody that he is loyal to their final 2 deal.

Derrick tries to convince Caleb to volunteer to go on the block. He tells him that he wants him to make the decision. And it WORKED. Holy crap Caleb is stupid! Derrick assures him that if he wins the Veto that he will pull him off.

Somehow, he has made himself completely good with all 3 of them, and yet he's nominating 2 out of the 3. That is just genius! Plus, he said that being HOH this week is good for his game because he will not have to worry about ending up being the only person to vote in the eviction...again...getting absolutely no blood on his hands. Add this to the fact that he has not been nominated 1 time...as an original or a replacement...EVER! How does that even happen? They need to just end the game now and name him the winner, because he frickin' deserves it!

Nominations
Derrick nominates Victoria and Caleb

Veto Competition

Big Brother, Ep. 16.37

Big night coming up...

The Veto (repeat Veto), and then someone is evicted! I gotta say, I'm really hoping for an all-guy Final 4. The Bomb Squad/Detonators have dominated this game, and I think they all deserve to be here til the end. Not one of them deserves to go home before Victoria. Just once I'd like to see an alliance stick together til the end and not let a floater who did absolutely nothing all season to make it to the end. Hey, I can dream, right? The only way I see this happening is if Frankie wins the Veto and saves himself. That would mean either Derrick or Cody would be on the block. I think if Frankie stays on the block, there is no way he stays in the game. But...if it ends up being either Cody or Derrick going up, I think Victoria would be toast (at least I hope).

Frankie Corners Caleb
Frankie is going to work his magic with Caleb. Just like when he saw right through what Caleb was doing when he was going to throw the Battle of the Block, he knows Caleb had another reason for putting him on the block. The more he talks to Caleb, the more things start to slip out. Cody and Derrick are freaking out because Caleb can't keep his mouth shut! Frankie must have some special power over Caleb.

There's nothing more that Frankie needs to spur him on to victory in this POV. We've seen it before. When Frankie's back is against the wall, he pulls out the win he needs. It is very likely he's going to win this time as well. Especially since this is a repeat competition, which he won the first time.

Team America
Team America is done, but both Derrick and Frankie have the opportunity to win an extra $50,000 as individuals. If a member of Team America wins Big Brother, they will win the extra $50,000 on top of the $250,000. Wow!

Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 19.1 & 19.2

Here we go for Season 19!!! I can't wait for another great and exciting season! It should be interesting because there's a lot of people on this season that I've never heard of.

A new addition to the ballroom is 2-time champion, and sister of Derek, Julianne Hough. She guest judged the last couple seasons, but this season she's joining the panel as a full-time judge. It will be interesting to see how this affects the overall judges scores. Instead of 30 points, there will now be 40 judges points available.

Antonio & Cheryl - ChaCha
Cheryl knows what she's doing. Antonio is hot, so she's really going to use that to her advantage this season. I love the Enrique Iglesias song they used for this ChaCha. Latin is definitely going to be his forte. This looked like it came so natural to him. Great opening number! Sure, he could have been a little looser, and maybe could have had a little better form, but for the first one, definitely pretty good.
Score: 25 (all 6s and a 7 from Bruno) I think that was really harsh. But, he was the first one out, so of course he was going to have low scores.

Lea & Artem - Foxtrot
She performed about how you would expect, if not a little better. She looked like she had pretty good form, and she didn't look nervous at all.
Score: 32

Janel & Val - Jive
How cute are they together?! She came out so strong and full out. The Jive is such a hard dance to start with. This had so many moves and it was so fast. The insiders were right...she's one to watch for sure. This was an awesome routine. Their chemistry is so good. Love them!
Score: 29 (all 7s and a 8 from Bruno) I think these were too low...should have been at least all 8s

Lolo & Keo - ChaCha
She started out marching very heavy. She looked very lost through most of the dance and she had a very blank look on her face like she was really trying to remember all the steps. I think she would have potential if she lost the nerves and loosened up. It wasn't the worst thing ever, but it wasn't great. She blamed it on the text message bubble not working at the beginning and it threw her off. She said she did it so much better in every rehearsal. Her disgusted and frustrated attitude was really off-putting.
Score: 22 (2 5s and 2 6s) Those scores were very generous

Betsy & Tony - ChaCha

Big Brother, Ep. 16.36

HOH Competition Continued
The rest of the HOH comp is completed.

Cody only had 1 left, and he DROPPED A SEED! Come on Cody! What a bummer!

Somehow, Caleb won! OK, so I was sure last week on Twitter that it said that Frankie won it again. Wow, I'm shocked! Frankie is in so much trouble this week.

Targets
Of course among the guys, Victoria is the target. However, the guys minus Frankie see things a little differently. Frankie wants Caleb to keep the nominations the same. Caleb doesn't really want to put up Cody again because he had to sweat on the block last week. Caleb said maybe he should put up Derrick because he's the only one who has never been up. Cody doesn't like this idea because of his tight alliance with Derrick. He thinks Caleb should stick to the plan and put Frankie up with Victoria.

Cody and Derrick are nervous because of what Caleb is thinking. He's worried about putting Frankie on the block because if he saves himself, he will come after him next week. But at that point, they would be the Final 4 and someone has to go no matter what. They said he has to put him up to start with because if he's not and he wins the Veto, he could use it on Victoria, and then either Cody or Derrick would have to go on the block one of them would have to go home...which would ruin their Final 3 deal. If he's already on the block and just saves himself, one them only has to go up against Victoria and they would be "safe". Smart thinking!

Luxury Competition
The "hollas" are becoming more frequent and it wakes up the houseguests. Caleb is still hoping to win a diesel truck (hopefully driven by Brett Eldredge). Good luck with that.

The jury members make their way back into the house. They make a complete mess of the house while the other houseguests are watching on a tv screen. They threw clothes all over the place, dirtied the kitchen and dumped food all over in the living room.

Unfortunately, this luxury competition is only for the Jury. What a bummer!

There are chips hidden throughout the house. The ones that say "Knock Out", they take to the yard and put on someone's name to knock them out of the competition. The last one standing wins $5,000. The current houseguests place a bet on who they think will win. If they are correct, they also win $5,000.

Frankie picks Zach
Derrick picks Donny
Victoria picks Hayden
Cody picks Nicole
Caleb picks Jacosta

No one picked Christine.

Christine gets knocked out by Jacosta. Zach is knocked out by Nicole. Donny is also knocked out by Nicole. Jacosta is now knocked out by Nicole. Thank you Nicole!

It's down to Hayden and Nicole. She is killing it! Hayden finds the last chip, and he knocked out Nicole! He threatened to put it in his own name box, but she told him not to be an idiot. He asked if he would get a kiss, and she said yes. It was so darn cute!!!

So, along with Hayden, Victoria also wins $5,000.

Now the house has to clean up the mess created by the Jury. I do not envy them one bit. It sure was fun to see the Jury again (except for Jacosta). I forgot how annoying Jacosta had gotten later in the game. I don't know who she thinks actually likes that stupid telephone bit, and her talking in the third person. STOP IT! Just stop it!

Best Moment of the Episode = Cody getting out the vacuum, and Caleb deciding to stick it to his face and not being able to get it off! His face turned so red! Why didn't Cody just turn it off instead of trying to pull it off? Haha! I laughed so hard! I love moments like this and wish they would show more things like that during the season.

Nominations
Caleb nominates: Victoria and Frankie

Caleb said he made a pact with the other guys from the start that they were going to be in the Final 4. He gave Frankie a pawn from a chess game and told Frankie that he is the pawn this week.

Should be interesting to see what happens. I believe they play the Veto on Tuesday, and they said there is an eviction on Tuesday as well. I think they are playing the same Veto, which was the face mash-ups. Remember, that Frankie won that last time, but Derrick was very close behind him. However, it is a level playing field now that they've all played it once before. Anything can happen. Whatever happens is going to have a big impact on the game.

Big Brother Australia 11: Week 1 Recap

The storm has arrived! So excited for a new season of BBAU! I hope this season can live up to the sheer awesomeness of last season's cast. They will be hard to beat. If you're in the US like me, here's the YouTube channel I'm watching the episodes on: http://www.youtube.com/user/WatchBBAUS

The first twist of the season is a first for any Big Brother show around the world: they will be playing in pairs!

The second twist of the season is that there will be "the power", which is like our (the US) Head of Household (HOH). Since they are playing in pairs, there will be 2 HOHs. I'm really hoping that this twist doesn't take away from the fun. Part of what makes BBAU and BBUK so fun and special is that the public did all the voting to eliminate and there was no strategy involved--they could just be there and have fun with each other. I really hope the new Head of House power doesn't ruin that.

Another change for this season is that the house is 2 stories this season. They really outdid themselves this year with the house--it's HUGE! And I mean HUGE!

The Housemates (in the order they entered the house):
Priya, 27, Adelaide, High School Teacher
Katie, 25, Sydney, Cupcake Maker
Jake, 25, Brisbane, Design Student
Gemma, 29, Perth, Orthopedic Nurse
David, 31, Sydney, Radiographer
Sandra, 30, Wagga Wagga, Underwear-Fitting Manager/Erotic Novel Writer
Dion, 24, Brisbane, Hair Product Salesman
Jason, 26, Canberra, Real Estate/Auctioneer
Skye, 20, Gold Coast, Barista
Lisa, 29, Sydney, Executive Assistant/Strip Joint Manager
Travis, 24, Victoria, Footy Player
Ryan, 26, Sydney, Graphic Designer
Sam, 26, Melbourne, Paralympic Gold-Medal Swimmer
Cat, 31, Melbourne, Midwife
Aisha, 22, Sydney, Retail Assistant/Night Club Doorgirl
Lawson, 23, Perth, Magician/Electrical Apprentice

Big Brother, Ep. 16.35

Target
Frankie's target remains Victoria. Most people would say he needs to take out Cody because he is a key member of the alliance. But, his thinking is that because he is such a huge target that if she stays, he will be put up next to her, and then HE will go. If he's up against one of the other guys, he has a shot to win. Interesting strategy...I hadn't thought of it that way.

Victoria is really upset because it just now hit her that she is going home. Just now. Of course, Derrick is her biggest support in the house. He is spending more time with her than the guys. It's all part of his game to work the jury. He tries to reassure her that she might not be going home because they don't know what the button is going to do.

The guys talk about why they have to get Frankie out. He's a huge competitor, and if he wins the comps, they won't be able to get him out.

Derrick tells Frankie that Caleb is the one to beat because he's won so many competitions. He also says Cody has a shot. He basically was saying that Frankie, Cody and Caleb all have a shot to win. Frankie was onto his game, and he says he definitely doesn't count Derrick out for winning.

Derrick & Victoria
Derrick decides to use Victoria again. He said before she leaves the house, she's going to help him with his game. He tells her if she goes, she's a jury vote. If he can get them to think for sure that he doesn't have Victoria's vote in the jury, that will help his game because if they think he does have 1 solid jury vote, they aren't going to want to take him to the final 2. He tells her that this plan will take some skill on her part. She should get really mad and tell everyone that Derrick told her that he wasn't going to vote for her to stay. She was up to the challenge, and went to Frankie. She turned on the waterworks on and put on a good show. Frankie bought it, and she had him in tears. She was glad to do this, because if she can't win, she wants Derrick to win.

This man is a genius, and he has just the right gullible people to play with in the house.

Jury House
Zach celebrates his birthday, and he got a brand new pink hat!

Nicole rejoins the jury house to a slightly happy Hayden.

Hayden and Zach are on to Derrick's game. They all realize that he is the reason that ALL of them are there. Uh oh!

The house would love to see Christine come next because they don't want her to win. No one really even looked at her...awkward!!! I'm surprised they didn't boo her.

After seeing Cody in his dinosaur costume and they asked her if she likes dinosaurs. She said no. Donny asked if she has an attorney. Ouch!

Clock Countdown--Rewind
Cody and Victoria have a chance to plead for their lives, as the clock is down to 3 minutes.

Victoria tells Derrick that he turned on her and she's never going to forgive him for that. Whoa! Pulling out the big guns!

Derrick gets up to go to the Diary Room to vote, and the alarm goes off! They are all freaking out!

Julie informs them of what the button means.

*And at the worst possible time...there's a new tornado warning for the area (but not really my area), and it looks like I'm going to miss the entire 2nd half, and most important half of the show! Grrr! So, the rest of this recap will be based on the live tweets I'm seeing, as to how things play out.

Looks like they will be playing the same competitions all over again. I wondered if they would play brand new HOH and Veto comps. This will be interesting Caleb was so close last time, will he be able to pull it off this time? The tweets are saying that Frankie isn't very happy. And who can blame him? He won this once and was safe, now it's anybody's game (except for Victoria).

So, Frankie leads, and then as a surprise to no one, he wins again. The question is: will he make the same nominations or make a change this time around.

Well, thank goodness for Twitter to keep me posted, but I still want to watch it! Guess I'll have to watch it OnDemand tomorrow :(

And just for an extra kick in the pants...the tornado warning ends at 9:00 and it's back to regularly scheduled programming. BUT THE SHOW IS OVER NOW!!! Rant over.

Big Brother, Ep. 16.34

Victoria
Victoria is so delusional! She says that she and Derrick have strategized their way to the final 5. She said HE was the Robin to her Batman. She said she's played a great game and you have to in order to be the last girl standing in the final 5. Oh geez! She has no frickin' clue!!! She said she's been a superhero! I can't...I just can't...

I really hope this is production feeding her all these lines, and that she doesn't really believe this.

The summary of the season -- Derrick: "Don't do anything today, just look pretty today."

The Boys
Caleb tells Cody that it briefly crossed his mind to send him home if he loses the Veto. Cody is concerned because if they are supposed to go to the final 4, it shouldn't have crossed his mind.

Cody tells Derrick what Caleb said, and he suggests that maybe they need to go after Caleb, or maybe even Frankie.

Veto Competition
This one is played individually. It is a freakshow. They will see pictures of the houseguests combined to make a weird looking freakshow act. Each one has 3 houseguests. They have to guess all 3 mash-ups. The houseguest with all correct answers in the quickest time will win.

Victoria started out really well...shocking! Until she started she was too scared by one of the pictures and couldn't figure it out.

I loved watching Cody because he's laughing hysterically at each picture. Ha!

Cody 12:14
Caleb 8:39
Victoria 17:18
Frankie 5:54
Derrick 6:17

Frankie wins Veto by a slight margin. Pretty sure he's just going to keep his nominations the same. However...he's toying with the idea of going after his alliance, and this would be devastating. If he takes Victoria off and puts up either Caleb or Derrick up, then one of them is going home for sure. EXCEPT for the whole rewind thing! Little does he know that if he would make a big move like that, it's all going to be undone, and then his hand has been played.

Bachelor In Paradise, Ep. 1.7

Chris informs the couples that they need to decide if the person they are coupled with is someone they can truly see themselves with in the future. Anyone who doesn't, should pack up and leave paradise. The decision: move on to the next step in the relationship, or walk away...

Graham & AshLee
Current Relationship Status: AshLee, as we all know, is TOTALLY into Graham and she absolutely wants to pursue a relationship and she thinks Graham feels exactly the same way. Meanwhile, Graham seems like he could go either way.

Michelle doesn't buy what AshLee is trying to sell. She thinks she doesn't even know who she is. She is so sure that AshLee is trouble, that she gets up from the girls' group conversation to go find Graham to warn him and tell him that she doesn't think AshLee is right for him. She doesn't think she's genuine, and she thinks she was only there to be on TV and was putting on a show. Graham shows some emotion, but basically didn't say anything. The other girls asked AshLee if she was worried that Michelle was going to talk about her to Graham, and she didn't think so. She said she was so grateful to have Michelle in her corner. Oops.

It's time for "the talk".

She asks how he's feeling, and he says "not great". He said he thinks the atmosphere makes things different. She said she isn't looking for him to say "I love you" or that he will marry her. He said he didn't think he could continue on and he was sorry. She said "I knew it. Way too good to be true." He said "we are leaving", but she said "no, you're leaving." He said it doesn't feel 100% correct, and he doesn't think they have what it takes to make it. She said she wished he would have been more honest, and he agreed that he should have done a better job communicating that with her.

He was pretty upset after having to do that to her, and she was obviously upset because she was head over heels and didn't want it to end this way.

End Result = Not a couple

Tasos & Christy

Current Relationship Status: They've only had one date.

They mutually decide that they haven't had enough time, and easily part ways.

End Result = Not a couple

Zack & Jackie
Current Relationship Status = Jackie has only had 1 date with Zack, so she doesn't know if she's ready to make this decision yet.

Zack was open to staying, but they ultimately decided to part ways because they haven't had enough time together. She said the timing just wasn't right for them.

End Result = Not a couple

Robert & Sarah
Current Relationship Status: Sarah wants to take her relationship with Robert home to the real world, but she's worried about where Robert's head is.

Sarah tells him that she isn't packing her bags, and he said "Good, because I'm not packing my bags."

End Result = Couple

Cody & Michelle
Current Relationship Status: Michelle doesn't know what to think. She doesn't really want to think that far into the future. She also has to consider her daughter. She is up and down and isn't sure what to do. Meanwhile, Cody is ready to move forward in their future. She isn't sure she can catch up to where he is.

While trying to make this decision, she calls her daughter for advice. I forget how old her daughter is, but she sounded so mature and gave her good advice. She decides to take the leap of faith and give her relationship with Cody a chance.

End Result = Couple

Marcus & Lacy
Current Relationship Status: Obviously they are both in love.

End Result = Couple

3 Couples Move On To The Next Step
Each of the couples will have one more date in paradise. They need to have the difficult conversations about the future. The dates are overnight dates. At the end of the date, if they aren't sure, Chris says they should break up and go home.

Robert & Sarah
The date went well...but they spent most of it making out.

The next day, Sarah was bummed after seeing the other couples being so lovey-dovey. She said he was tired and wanted to go to bed, so they did...and he had his jeans on under the covers. She said she felt rejected. She said he never touched her below her neck. She saw clearly that she and Robert were not where the other 2 couples were. Proof: Cody and Michelle are all over each other, Marcus and Lacy are all over each other, and Robert is making some weird air sucking noise with his nose in Sarah's face. She sarcastically said "cute"...but it was totally awkward.

She confronted him about how rejected she felt. He was confused and thought they had a great time. He said he's been telling everyone that he was falling in love with her, and he thought she knew that. She said she felt not loved. But, she said she really only felt like this when she saw the other couples.

She said she wasn't getting what she needed out of the relationship and didn't feel right with it continuing. He apologized for making her feel that way, and said "I guess I should go." He didn't see that coming...and neither did I. Why wouldn't she give him a chance? She clearly felt great, but it was only when she saw the other couples that she completely changed her mind. She should be focused on her relationship and not compare it to someone else. So now, she's devastated...again...and now she's wondering if she made the wrong decision...

Marcus & Lacy
Marcus says he can't imagine life without her. She said he completes her (like in Jerry Maguire). She finally told him that she loved him. The next day, they are grinning from ear to ear, and can't stop telling each other how much they love each other.

Cody & Michelle
Michelle tells him that he is so genuine and she doesn't have any fears about him. But she is afraid that it might not work out and she doesn't want to let herself or her daughter down. Cody said he's willing to do whatever it took to make it work and to make her happy and be there for her and her daughter. He said he wants her to be his wife. She said she needs to feel "real life" with him. After the date, Michelle had no questions...she told the group "I have a boyfriend!" Cody is on cloud 9.

Counseling
Bachelor/Bachelorette couples come to talk to the 2 remaining couples, Marcus and Lacy, and Cody and Michelle.

The couples are: Sean and Catherine, Jason and Molly, Des and Chris.

They meet with with them individually and also as couples. They even quiz them on each other.

Final Decision

Cody and Michelle -- they're in love and both give and accept the final rose

Marcus and Lacy -- if you watched this season at all, it was obvious that these 2 were leaving a couple...and if you've read the spoilers, you know that MARCUS PROPOSED TO LACY! And she said YES!

And in case you're wondering...Bachelor in Paradise got picked up for Season 2! And it's coming back in June! I'm already excited!

Big Brother, Ep. 16.33

The Reset Button
Everyone is freaking out over what the button might mean. They find the button in the old Have Not room, Frankie is going overboard trying to tell everyone to NOT push the button. He thinks that nothing good will come from it. Caleb thinks it could be something good.

The whole room has the word "game" everywhere, along with the words "the choice is yours". Derrick says that it might affect everyone's game.

Cody/Christine
The group is still really shocked with the way Christine was booed when she left the house. Cody is kind of upset because he really liked Christine and now he's worried what she was doing/saying that would make the public boo her like that.

Frankie said it could have to do with her relationship with Cody. He said that Christine looked at him like she loved him, and that could have rubbed people the wrong way. They all agree that Cody didn't really do anything wrong because he was just playing the game. But, things are different for her because she's married.
