Megan thinks that New Mexico is like a beach resort and can't wait to see everyone in their sombreros. She's so excited to leave the country for the first time. Oh dear...I really worry for this girl...she is a few bricks short of a load.
Whitney is excited to be in such a romantic city. Really? What about Santa Fe is so much more romantic than any other city?
Date #1: Carly
RealitySteve keeps talking about this really bizarre love doctor date. I can't wait to see what happens.
Chris said he feels like they have a great friendship. Uh oh...sounds like she's in the friend zone.
So they go through this house to the backyard and see this woman meditating...turns out she is a love guru. Already, this seems weird. She starts spreading some incense and Chris looks so uncomfortable. Now they are chanting and breathing. Oh man, this is totally weird, and I can't imagine they are getting anything out of this. Chris said he didn't feel anything except for his lips being numb.
She has Carly blindfold Chris and she says she's supposed to explore his body and use her breath and sense of smell. There's food there and she's supposed to feed him...she gave him a strawberry with chocolate, that she proceeded to smear on his lips.
Next she tells Chris to go under her legs to her inner thighs...yikes! Chris is now thinking that she isn't a love guru...she's a sex guru!
Carly is really uncomfortable because she's not good with intimacy. So naturally, the guru says they are going to take off each other's clothes. This is so uncomfortable to watch! Chris said what I was thinking "it was awkward and really weird. She was thinking this was going to be the best day of her life and the day she would realize that they were supposed to be together forever. Instead, she said it was the worst day ever.
Finally, Carly told him that she was uncomfortable and he said he was too. Let's remember, this is their FIRST DATE!
The guru told them to talk about what masks they were ready to take off and reveal to each other. He said to let himself fall in love and commit to that for the rest of his life. She said the fear that she's not worthy of love.
The last thing was for her to sit on his lap, and they weren't allowed to kiss...only breathe. Again...awkward.That was so intense!
Whatever that was, it worked, because Chris said he was starting to feel a romantic connection.
At dinner, Carly shared with Chris some about her past relationships. She said she had a boyfriend who wouldn't touch her and it made her feel not beautiful and wanted. They both shared about struggling to open up. I'm sorry, I'm kind of bored. But Chris was apparently not, so he gave her the rose.
Back at the house, Kelsey finally shares her story with the girls about how her husband died. He was walking to work, and his heart stopped and he collapsed. Ashley commented about how sad the story was, but that she was so nonchalant about how she told the story. She wasn't sad, and she didn't get upset or anything. She even messed up what the doctor's said he had, which was a congenital heart failure...she said "congestive". She just smiled and said "and darlin' that's life". She is waiting to tell Chris her story until she gets a one on one.
Date #2: Kaitlyn, Jade, Whitney, Megan, Samantha, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Becca, Ashley
Kelsey thinks it's unacceptable to be going on another group date. It's a white water raft date, so yay, Kelsey will hate this even more now! Megan is worried about what's in the river...like alligators or dead bodies. Oh dear.
They all get briefed about safety, and basically this guy tells them they are all going to die. Way to kill the mood dude. I heard someone falls in...I wonder who. Judging by the preview of Kelsey lying on the floor screaming, it could be her.
They hit some rough water, and Jade flew out. Never fear, they pulled her back in. Becca was worried about her because Jade doesn't do well in cold water and she can get hypothermia very easily. But she got a nice foot rub from Chris, so score! Mackenzie said she needs him to warm her butt up because it's freezing. Geesh. In an ITM, Kelsey throws a mini fake-ish hissy fit that she isn't going to get any attention because "I'M FINE!". She is SO NOT fine. She's slowly losing it more and more each episode.
Unexpected Guest
Chris is walking to the rest of the date with the women, and he sees Jordan...like recently let go Jordan. She drove all the way from Colorado to see him. She felt like she didn't get a fair shot and the alcohol didn't help. She said she just wanted to talk to him and was hoping for a second chance. He had sent her home 2 weeks ago because she didn't seem to be taking things too seriously and was drinking way too much. He told her that her drinking was a huge factor in why he didn't get to know her as well as he would have liked to.
Meanwhile, the rest of the girls are wondering where the heck Chris is. He then walks into the room of girls with Jordan on his arm. Totally inappropriate, Chris! These women are not going to like this! They already don't like that they are on a group date with 9 of them, they aren't going to appreciate adding a tenth...and someone he had already let go! So, she just kind of sat down with the girls and made herself at home.
Ashley said she is so different from Jordan and that she isn't wife material, and she thinks there's other girls there who are.
Whitney pointed out the obvious, that this is all about people getting eliminated. Take a hint Jordan!
Becca told Chris that she respects whatever decision he makes about her, but it's totally weird that she's there.
Kelsey is now questioning what relationship he has with her and the other girls if he's going to even think about giving her another chance.
Ashley and Whitney get into an argument because Ashley wanted them all to admit they don't want Jordan there and they shouldn't be nice and welcoming to her if they were really serious about Chris. Whitney said they don't have to like that she's there, but they don't have to be mean to her either. You go Whitney!
I think Chris is really questioning allowing Jordan to come to the date, because that is all the girls are talking about with him and he's not able to get to know them more, like what he wants to be doing. He talks to Jordan and tells her that he has a certain responsibility and he said the right decision as a man is to not let this go on any further. He couldn't do it to the girls. She said she was OK with that, and she just didn't want to have any regrets. On the one hand, it was really brave of her to do what she did and it showed she was going after what she wanted, but on the other hand, it made her look even more desperate and ridiculous than when she was on the show being drunk. At least now she has her answer....move on Jordon.
The group date rose goes to: Whitney. Chris said he was giving it to her because she makes him feel special and he likes their potential. Daggers from Ashley and Jade, who totally thought they were going to get it and were oddly smirking like they knew the rose was coming to them. And Ashley is crying...again. She said she looked at her earlier in the day and thought "I don't have to worry about her". She cried to Mackenzie that she is fake and that she isn't right for him. Mackenzie said she doesn't see anything wrong with her and that Ashley just doesn't like Whitney. Ashley thinks Whitney hates her. She thinks she's not genuine and is one way around the girls and another around Chris...but she doesn't hate her.
Back at the house, Britt tells Carly that she might actually shower and shave her legs for their date. Carly thought it was ridiculous that she hadn't showered for a couple weeks. Her date card comes, and it says "Sky's the limit"...yes...she's terrified of heights. When will these girls learn to not share their worst fear, because the producers WILL make you do exactly that! She's so afraid of heights that she says her body just shuts down. Gee...that's never happened on this show before! I guess there's a first time for everything.
Date #3: Britt
Chris sneaks to Britt's room early to scare her...at 4:30 AM. He's hoping none of the girls sleep with baseball bats. he totally freaked her out, as he was creepily standing over her. The girls are right...she does sleep with all her makeup on! Chris said she looked as beautiful then as she always does. Carly was also in the room and didn't appreciate being woken up and having to hear the kissing. She really did not want to be in that room. And then Chris shushed her, which she didn't appreciate, seeing as they had just gone on a date, and now he was moving on to someone else.
She is so worried about this date, because if they have to jump off of something, it wasn't going to go well. It turns out, they are going to go on a hot air balloon ride. She was so incredibly excited and giddy about getting to do this. It turned out to be the best date of her life. He said he was "on cloud 9"...get it?
Chris takes her back to his room. They talk about wanting to have kids, and she said she wants 100 and she's excited that he wants a lot too. She gets the rose.
Back at the house, the girls are talking about Britt and how she sleeps in her makeup and Carly told the girls about her telling Britt that she needed to shower, wash her hair, and shave her legs. Ashley said that Britt told her that she is not ready to be married and have kids yet. They think she is really manipulative and she is telling him only things he wants to hear.
Britt came back from the date and rehashed all the details to a room full of very jealous and perturbed girls, all glaring at her with daggers. She told them that after the hot air balloon ride, they went back to his room, ordered some room service and took a nap for a couple hours. Kelsey is about ready to blow a gasket because they may or may not have "taken a nap" but may have grown closer physically by "smashing their faces together" and she thinks whatever happened with them may have diminished whatever relationship she had with him. She now looks like she is on a warpath as she storms out of the room in search of Chris. She perceives this as a threat to her relationship with Chris. She shows up at his door. She wants to share her story with him because it might be her last chance to tell him that she is a widow. So, why exactly does it matter that she is a widow? Why does her telling him that have anything to do with him keeping her or getting rid of her?
She tells him not to worry that she isn't there with bad news, and she isn't going anywhere. She said she had a lot to tell him and the girls don't know she was there. So, she starts telling her story. Strangely enough, as she is now telling the exact same story, she is crying and emotional through the whole thing. 2 completely different people we're seeing here. Then in an ITM, she says "isn't my story amazing? It's tragic, but it's amazing. I love my story." Yes, that is an exact quote. It was so creepy the way she was so happy as she was saying that. How could someone who lost their husband say something like that? She finally got her kiss, and she said it was exactly what needed to happen because their relationship was getting stagnant.
Cocktail Party
Kelsey tells the girls that she is feeling very comfortable. Ashley said that she, Becca and Samantha feel the most scared because they haven't had a one on one yet. The girls are really suspicious of Kelsey because she is overly confident.
Chris apologized for the Jordan situation and he said that was a hard evening. He said today was tough because he had a conversation with Kelsey that hit home with him and he was thinking about a lot of things today. He started to have a moment, and excused himself, leaving the girls wondering what was going on. Chris H. went to talk to him, and Chris said it's been a tough week. He said talking with Kelsey made him really think about the life-changing decisions he has to make and how he needs to make every moment count.
Kelsey told the girls that her story was weighing on her and she really felt like she had to tell him. She said he wasn't overly emotional when they talked and she thought the conversation went well. She told them that she had planned on telling the girls about her time with Chris during the cocktail party so they wouldn't be jealous of the time she spent with him. Um...telling them you made a special visit to spend time with him is only going to make them more jealous, and hate you all the more. She said she wanted protect them and their feelings and also honor her story and honor her late husband and do it in a way that they wouldn't be uninterrupted. She made a comment about it being sad to say goodbye to someone...like she was sure she wasn't going home. Yet again making them all think something more was going on.
Chris H. enters the room and said that Chris knows what he wants to do, and because it's been emotional, he doesn't want to delay the inevitable. So, the cocktail party is officially canceled.
Ashley is so upset because she didn't get one on one time, but Kelsey did because she has a tragic story. She was so upset that her story isn't as tragic as Kelsey's.
Kelsey doesn't want to go to the Rose Ceremony because obviously her story made him not want to have a cocktail party, so now she isn't so sure that she's getting a rose. She gets up and leaves, and then she has a total breakdown, sobbing and having trouble breathing laying on the floor. She had a total panic attack (or so she is saying). It kind of seemed fake in a way, because she seemed fine when she left the room. And then like seconds later, she's sprawled out on the floor. And then, also in like 2 seconds, there was a paramedic by her side. I'm sure they have them on standby, but I'm sure they weren't standing by...right around the corner. Drama, drama, drama...
