I can't believe it's time for the finale already! What a great season this has been, no? What's the big twist? Who will be in the final Tribal? Who will win? I have no idea, but I can't wait to find out! I'm interested to see if the rumors I've heard are true:
- One member of the jury is not involved in the final vote
- After a long run of a final 3, we have a final 2 instead this season
Here we go! It's down to Tai, Michele, Cydney, and Aubry - who's it gonna be? 75% chance it's a female. We shall see.
Dara Camp
Awe, Tai and his pal Mark...too cute!
The tribe is sad to lose Joe. Tai and Aubry want to try to get close to Cydney and hope that they can be the final 3. Aubry thinks Michele is the biggest social threat left in the game. She has close relationships and she hasn't done anything to hurt anyone else in the game.
Michele thinks she is out if Tai wins Immunity. Cydney is feeling good because without Joe there, everyone seems to want to take her to the end.
Michele says that everything is up in the air because you never know what's coming. I have a feeling that is some major foreshadowing of events to come.
Challenge: race under net crawl to a table with tiles to slide into a target - transfer tiles to another table and match them in pairs; unmatched pairs have combination to unlock
Reward: food and an advantage in the next immunity challenge
Tai has the early lead, and Cydney is moving pretty slowly, but makes it just ahead of Michele.
Cydney is the first to get all her tiles into the target. She has 4 tiles and she drops them on the balance beam so she has to go back. Tai is now ready to stack. Cyndey drops again and Aubry takes the lead - she is the first to get some to her table and heads back and now has her 2nd stack to her finish table. Cydney drops again! Michele drops. Aubry has yet another stack. She almost falls on the balance beam every time, but just manages to hang on.
Aubry has all her tiles, while Cydney makes it across for the first time. Aubry is working on the tiles for the combination to the box. Cydney takes a big fall - ouch!
Aubry tries but it's the wrong combination. She tries another combination and it's wrong. Aubry can't figure out why the handle won't come out. We see she has one pair incorrect, but she's not seeing it.
Cydney and Tai are now working on their tiles looking for the pairs and the right combination.
Aubry found her mistake and she's ready to try again. Cydney and Tai are now trying combinations. Both are wrong, and Aubry is right! Wow, nice job Aubry. That would have sucked if she would have lost that because she was so far ahead.
Jeff gives her the option to double the food and bring another person - but it's only an option. She can do it, but it will aleniate the other 2 she doesn't pick. She decides to take Cydney. She knows she needs her trust to make sure that they can beat Michele in the next immunity challenge. Cydney was glad she was chosen because it solidifies the bond that she and Aubry have.
Dara Camp
Cydney tells Tai that if he loses one of them is going home. She said they might as well get together and try to get one of them out. Michele said that Aubry made a mistake by choosing Cydney again for a reward. Michele thinks if either she or Tai win immunity, they should vote out Aubry because she is the biggest threat. He agrees, but he's wondering what his best chance will be. He doesn't want to give up on Aubry yet, but he does like Michele's plan.
Immunity Challenge #1
Challenge: it's the gauntlet - for the first time, I can't even begin to describe this challenge because there are literally like 100 different things they have to do!
Cydney sprints out to the water first...she's going to tire quickly. She took forever untying the knots and she's in last now!
Aubry doing well in first, followed by Tai. Still Aubry and Tai as they race back out to the water for another key and another bag. She is becoming a beast in challenges! She is the first up the stairs, followed by Cydney now.
Aubry throws her ball and releases her ladder first. Tai has it, as Aubry runs past to go back out to the water. Aubry is building her lead. Cydney and Tai are neck-and-neck, but Aubry is working on getting her bag of puzzle pieces. She's having trouble and they are catching up. She has it and she's back first. And she's still running! They have to be dead!
Aubry working on her puzzle. Cydney is coming and she's breathing hard. Tai is in 3rd and Michele is climbing her ladder very slowly in last.
Everyone is on the puzzle now. The puzzles are 3 shades of the same color. Each level's pegs are one color and they have to be even. What an interesting puzzle!
Aubry seems stumped. Tai gets his first level done first and Michele has the first level now. Aubry is trying to cheat off the others. Tai gets level 2. Cydney is in dead last with no clue what she's doing.
Michele is now on her third level. Tai is close to getting it, but Michele is closing in. Michele is just stacking and stacking every piece in the right spot and it's Michele for the win! Wow! Darn, I was really hoping Tai would get that one!
Dara Camp
Cydney said the easy vote would have been Michele, but since she won, she has to make sure to throw someone else's name under the bus to go before her.
Aubry needs Tai more than ever. Since they can't vote for Michele, they will have to vote for Cydney. She thinks the best they can do is to get a tie and then go to a fire challenge. Aubry is getting a funky vibe from Tai and she's worried that they might not be on the same page.
Michele is worried about Aubry because she can talk a convincing game. As much as she would rather keep her, they know that Tai can't talk in front of people. We've seen evidence of that at....pretty much every Tribal Council. Michele said she knows Tai will go with them as long as it's not his name on the chopping block. Cydney asked her if she should work on her fire skills just in case. Michele said she can if she wants to, but it's not going to be her going.
Tai thinks Michele winning is the worst thing that could happen...until she told him that she wanted to vote out Aubry. He said as long as it's not him he's OK with it. He said he didn't want to turn on Aubry, but it might be the best option. She could tell something was up with the way he was acting.
Tribal Council #1
Tai said it's all individual games now and alliances are out the window. Oh dear...here he goes again.
The Votes
Aubry
Cydney
Aubry
Cydney
It's a tie! Jeff asks if they should revote or if they are locked in on their votes. Michele and Tai both say they are locked in. We have a fire making challenge! Yes! It's been a long time since we've seen that! Here we go! Will someone prove a fire-making beast or will it be 2 epic fails like the last time?
Cydney getting some big sparks, but Aubry gets flame first. Aubry starts getting some height and she's building her structure. Fire looks good but it's blowing horizontal instead of vertical. Cydney not having much luck with her tiny sparks. Aubry's getting a lot of intensity but she needs to get height. It's getting closer now and it won't take much time now to burn that rope. Good job, Aubry! Uh-oh it didn't burn the rope and the fire is burning down. Oh no! The structure collapsed and she has very little flame now. It's starting to turn mostly to smoke. And now the flame is gone! Holy crap! She basically has to start over. Watch Cydney...slow and steady come from behind again. Aubry is getting it going again, thankfully. This time it's going vertical and there goes the rope! That was a close one!
Cydney now joins the Jury as the 8th member. She broke down because she wanted to win it for her mom who really needed the money.
So, we can't have an even number Jury...what's going to happen? Jeff tells them that their game is not over yet. We were told there would be 3 Tribal Councils, so that most likely means we have a final 2.
Dara Camp - After Tribal
Michele knew if it went to fire that Cydney was out because she's never made fire once!
Michele is bummed that it will be Aubry next to her instead of Cydney. Michele tells Tai that they just handed Aubry $1 million. The girls are thinking that they are the final 3. Tai thinks that there is another challenge because Jeff didn't say they were final 3 and said they were still playing. Aubry thinks there is no other challenge.
They get treemail and find out that Tai was right. So when Jeff said that Aubry got an advantage in the next challenge did no one else hear that, or did they add that in post-production?
Aubry realizes she is on her own and she doesn't have many options. She needs to win immunity to ensure that she gets to decide her fate.
It's a fake-out - Jeff says that they ARE the final 3 and immunity is not up for grabs. They will be doing a challenge, and they will be voting someone out -- a Jury member! If they win, they get to vote out a Jury member.
The challenge is a repeat of their first challenge. They use a stick to transfer pieces to a post that they stack alternating balls and stands. They walk on a beam and have to be careful because if they walk or jump too hard, they wobble their stack.
Michele in the lead with 4, but she knocks over a couple. Aubry's falls completely over. Tai's stack is like the Leaning Tower of Pisa and there it goes. They are all starting over now.
Aubry has 4 balls of the 6. Michele coming back with her 5th ball. Tai is on his 3rd stand. Michele has last stand and going for last ball, and Aubry is right behind her. Michele is wobbling and Aubry places her ball and as she removes her stand, her stack goes. Michele regains her composure and her stack stays.
Michele earns this epic new twist to vote out a Jury member.
Dara Camp
Michele asks Tai what he thinks. She said she thinks Joe is the obvious choice because he is clearly only going to vote for Aubry. Tai thinks that is smart. He said Neal could be a good option, too. He had an alterior motive - he doesn't think Neal would vote for him to win. He tells her that Neal will most likely vote for Neal PLUS he is a good talker and he could persuade people to vote for Aubry.
Aubry threw out Scot's name because he could trash talk her and try to destroy her character. Aubry hopes Michele will take the little seed and run with it. Michele considers it because he and Jason are very persuasive. Tai thinks that's not a good idea - and he thinks that even though he betrayed Scot he thinks he might understand and still vote for him.
Final Tribal Council
The Jury enters and they start whispering that there is no necklace.
Jeff says that they will plead their case tomorrow. He then tells Michele to read her advantage to the Jury. Of course, they are very shocked!
As Jeff asks about Michele's thought process and also talks to Tai and Aubry, it's clear they thought about this on so many levels. Jeff thought it was pretty straight forward - remove someone who wouldn't vote for you. On the sidelines, Jason whispers "I think it's me". Scot whispers back "It sounds like you." Michele said she chose a person who could be very persuasive.
Michele chose - NEAL!
Neal says that it was an honor to finally have his name written down. He didn't go quietly. As he walked by Michele he told her: "You came into the game thinking she was a bad ass bitch, but she's more like a cute little puppy still suckling at the teat and I don't think you stand a chance." Whoa! Man, I missed his snarkiness! I hope he gets a chance to play again. He said she might have removed his vote, but he doesn't think it matters. He thinks that the other 2 beside her played better games than she did.
Dara Camp
Michele feels like Neal slaughtered her, but it proved her point that he was probably going to bash her at the next Tribal. They all think that the next Tribal is going to be a bloodbath basically. Does anyone else feel like Michele is getting the "winner's edit" right now? She is clearly getting the most air time and they are making it seem like she is the underdog climbing an uphill battle with the Jury.
Day 39 - treemail tells them they have one more surprise. They follow the trail to a mirror and scale to see what a toll the last 39 days has had on them. Tai thinks he looks like a refugee. They also get one last feast.
They pack up to go to the final Tribal and Tai is bringing Mark with him! LOL!
Final Tribal Council
They enter with thunder and lighting...we're in for a battle!
Nick - he said he was going to give each of them some advice. He said there is going to be some animosity and some might not get questions so take advantage of the questions they do get asked because their votes are up in the air and they will be listening to their answers. Michele needs to display intelligence; Tai needs to display awareness; Aubry needs to display confidence
Debbie - Tai had inexplicable votes and she wonders if he has multiple personalities. He said he didn't feel like he flippe. He was loyal to Scot and Aubry. He only flipped once and it was on Scot and it was a big move he had to make. Debbie said that Aubry turned into a geek warrior and Debbie helped keep her in the game she wonders if she would have done the sam. Aubry said "yes" and she was the one regret she had. Gamewise they were just heading in 2 different paths, so she had to part ways with her.
Julia - She thinks that Michele was the weakest link on the Beauty tribe and she got lucky not going to Tribal for 22 days and she was dragged along as just a number later on. Julia was proud of her voting her out as her biggest ally and biggest threat; Michele said she had to prove her worth coming from the Beauty tribe. Tai started out strong and she wanted him out until Merge and why should she vote for his deteriorating game. Tai said he wasn't weak and found an alliance to go to the end and her vote depends on what she values he thinks what he did trumps Michele's triumphs.
Joe - He said he knows Michele's game so he doesn't need to ask her anything. He said Tai is self-less and truthful but why should he win over Aubry. Tai said he found the idol, made the move to get Scot out, won an advantage and immunities. He asked Aubry why she should win over Tai. She said Tai was helpful for info but she had to implement the ideas and without her nothing would have happened. She was always on the right side of the vote, but Tai was on the wrong side 3 times. She rallied people to get things done and made all the decisions.
Jason - He said it's "truth time". He said Michele had no idea about the blindsides or the alliance of 4 but got somehow she got in - was it luck how did she make it happen? She said they didn't trust Julia she said she was willing to vote out Julia to prove her allegiance. She said it was not luck, she made moves to work her way into that alliance. He said that Tai had strong alliance with Scot til he came along. He wanted to know the real real reason for flipping on them. Tai said he got scared and jealous because they talked about man stuff and were savaage. At this point, Mark freaked out on his lap! He said he was genuinely was scared of Scot's and Jason's close relationship.
Cydney - She wanted to know from Aubry if it was always the plan to vote her out. Aubry said no it was Michele, but she won immunity. Aubry had to vote her out because that's what Cydney would have done. Cydney thanked Michele for letting her go for fire instead of just voting her out. Michele said if she had known they were going to vote Cydney she would have tried to save her.
Scot - He opens with a joke "You know what the monkey said when the lawn mower ran over its tail?" Aubry answered "It won't be long now." He said it was going to be short and quick. He told Tai that he had heard enough from him - he had an idol and didn't use it, and had advantage and used it stupidly - his advantages did him no good. He told Aubry that he respected her at the beginning but the twist is now the Jury gets to decide, so why should he vote for her. She said he is a competitor and someone has a different competitive style and she used her strengths. He told Michele that a couple tribals ago he would have said she would be dead last, but she got stronger as the game went on, and he applauded her.
Final Words
Aubry - She had a rough start but her game evolved. She experienced tough things and even though she didn't win immunities, she won the fire challenge when it mattered. She played her heart out outwitted, outlasted, outplayed.
Tai - He said the game is hard and there is no need to backstab. He quoted a proverb and started crying. I didn't really get it or what it really had to do with the game, but it was something about them being hyacinths floating on water and the wind and water blows them apart. And like that people float along the path and then have great memories. ???
Michele - Nick said she had to show intelligence. She said she had to have faith in herself and fight her way to get there. She said everyone told her she was at the bottom, but she believed in herself and she is proud of how she played.
The votes were cast and Jeff asks Tai if he has a way to get Mark back to America. He said he doesn't have plans to take him with him. He said his goodbyes and let Mark go. So sad! Jeff said "See ya, Mark" on his way out with the urn.
And the Winner of Survivor Season 32 is...
The Votes

And the winner is Michele! Did I tell you she was getting the winner's edit or what?! I really think Aubry played the better game, but Michele finished very strong.
Reunion Recap - The Hi-Lights
Sia shouts from the audience and Jeff brings her to the stage. She has been a big fan, and wanted to make sure that he knew how inspired she was by him. Sia was so moved by Tai's love of animals that she is giving HIM $50,000! AND she's going to donate $50,000 to his favorite animal charity. She said last year they didn't do a Fan Favorite and she was too chicken to stand up and do it for Keith, so this year, she wanted to do it for him! Wow! Yay for Tai!
Injury Update: Caleb - he remembers the challenge and his game winning shot and then he fell and he got dizzy and everything was spinning and was so hot, and that's all he remembered; he vaguely remembers seeing Jeff's face and then he was on a helicopter. Watching the episode - he looked like a hot mess! He said his family has never seen him like that and she was sobbing and being a mama's boy, that made him cry!
Debbie is still as kooky as ever. Jeff asked her to quickly name as many things as she could all the things that she's done. Such a weird and wacky (unbelievable?) list of things.
Survivor 33 Theme: Millenials vs. Gen X. First thought: Taylor is yummy! I have a crush already! I can't wait until this fall when we get to do it all over again!
