Let's just start off by saying that the guys are not thrilled that Nick is crashing their party, and it would be a huge understatement to say that they all hate his guts.
He waltzes in the room like he owns the place. He said he's not there to create drama and he wants to get to know Kaitlyn more. The guys asked him some questions trying to figure out if he's there for her or if he's just in it for a few more minutes of fame. They said they heard he was hanging out with Andi again, and now he's jumping after another Bachelorette. Joshua said he already had his season, and wonders why he would come back for a "cool chick", as Nick called her. Nick continually said that he just "wanted to meet this girl" because he really enjoyed what little conversations they've had together. He said he wants them to respect why he's there.
Cocktail Party
JJ took Kaitlyn out on the ball field and proceeded to pick her up and run and carry her around all the bases...whoop-de-do. Barf.
Tanner told Kaitlyn that Nick didn't really answer their question as to why he was hanging out with Andi instead of pursuing Kaitlyn. You could tell that Kaitlyn wasn't thrilled with that.
Joshua told Kaitlyn that what he knows about Nick is not good.
Shawn refuses to even say Nick's name. He let her know that Nick coming in the house is causing him to put his guard back up again. She tried to encourage him that Nick being there doesn't take anything away from what they have and that she has a strong connection. He told her that he Nick is full of shit - 110%. She asked him if he trusted her and he said he doesn't know if her actions are matching what she is saying.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations (3): Corey, Jonathan, Ryan
Remaining Guys: Ben H, Ben Z, Chris, Ian, Jared, JJ, Joe, Joshua, Justin, Nick, Shawn, Tanner
And they're off to San Antonio, Texas...
1-on-1 Date #1: Ben H, Two-stepping dance contest
They get private dance lessons. I don't care about the dancing...Ben is just so darn adorable! I love him!!
After their lessons, they are entered in a dance contest...the kind where you get a number on your back and everyone is out dancing on the floor and judges eliminate couples one by one.
They were both nervous and he was so cute as he looked like he was really trying to remember the steps. They made it through the 1st round, but got eliminated in the 2nd round.
Ben opened up about his last relationship, which was long distance. He said it was hard to talk about, and this experience is forcing him to open up quicker than he would like to. He said he hasn't talked about this with anyone in 2 years.
No surprise, he got the rose.
Group Date: Mariachi performance
Ben Z, Chris, Ian, Jared, JJ, Joe, Joshua, Justin, Nick, Tanner
And for about the 100th time this season, the guys have to make their own lyrics to a song. They got assistance from a little kid who was in a mariachi band.
Of course they also had to dress the part. They all look like they came right out of the Three Amigos movie.
Justin couldn't really sing, but he had some good lyrics.
JJ actually played the guitar.
Joe sang "will you mariachi me?" and gave her a smooch.
Ian looked really comfortable in his costume. His singing skills let him down on this one. He was much better in the Aladdin tryout. He couldn't believe that he made himself out to be such a performer and then he choked.
Joshua was so nervous and his face was really red.
Nick, making a grand gesture and totally infuriating the guys, he took her up on a balcony to sing to her. The rest of the guys wanted to boo him. His performance was about as dull as his personality...until he let rip this line "we have such a great connection it gives me such a huge [bleep]". I think you can fill in the rhyming word there. Knowing Kaitlyn's humor, she totally loved that. He even threw in some parts about the guys being pissed at him and that he was ready to brawl for her.
The evening part of the date, Joshua decided to have Kaitlyn give him a hair cut. He told her that he trusted her and she could do whatever she wanted to his hair. He blindfolded himself so he couldn't see. He said he thought it was turning out good...next thing you know, she gouges a big section out! She then decided to give him a mohawk, and the clippers died. So, he now has a mohawk on one side, and not on the other. Ha! Poor guy! I thought Ben Z was going to die laughing! Justin said he looked like he went through a wood chipper. Joe literally did a spit-take...oh my!
Nick said that he and Josh are different and he's not going to waste his one-on-one time with Kaitlyn. He spent his time...you guessed it...making out with her. Josh can't stand him, and Nick knows that he hates his guts.
Nick said most of the guys have been very nice to him...to his face. Finally, Josh decides to speak up to Nick in front of the group. He said his intuition is to not trust him. Nick said he shouldn't trust him. The guys knew that Josh was just a time bomb waiting to go off. Nick made a comment about how he was glad on his season that Josh (Murray) was there, because Andi ended up with him. Josh couldn't understand why he thought that, because if he hadn't been there, she most likely would have chosen him instead. Nick said by her choosing Josh, that meant she wanted to be with him and if she would have picked him she might have had doubts that someone better was out there. Kind of makes sense, but still kind of a strange thing to say.
Josh trusts Nick even less, and he goes to talk to Kaitlyn again. He said something just doesn't sit right with him. He said that Nick constantly talks about his season and talk about Andi. Kaitlyn gets a pouty face and looks kind of shocked when he said that no one likes Nick. She said, "so everyone's lying to my face". Uh-oh...he realizes that he just did a very bad thing. He said no one wants to be the weasel that throws people under the bus. I guess he figured that everyone would have said something...but they hadn't. He said she could ask any of them, and if she flat-out asked them that they would tell the truth. She was ticked. Josh then lied to the group and said he was just in an interview...but they all know he was with Kaitlyn. Uh-oh.
So Kaitlyn joins the group and asks them if they are all being honest with everything. They all said "yes", Kaitlyn then asks Josh "do YOU think everyone is being honest with me?" and he said "I'd like to think so". That really made her mad. She said "you just told me that you thought everyone was lying to me." AWKWARD! Cue 50 shades of red on Josh's face. She again asked the group and they all chickened out and just shook their heads as if they hadn't all been talking about. They all just totally hung Josh out to dry. They looked at him like he had 2 heads. They threw his lying to them right in his face. If he hadn't lied about that, I think they might have come to his defense, but they hated that he lied to them and went behind their back to talk to Kaitlyn for all of them when that wasn't his place. Oh my...what a mess!
Group Date Rose: Nick (cue millions of barfing noises across the country)
1-on-1 Date #2: Shawn, Kayaking
They had a good time kayaking down a little river...not much happened.
He said he felt bad for Josh this morning and he thinks a lot of guys were afraid to speak up about how they were really feeling.
At dinner, Shawn was ready to open up. He said he never imagined that he would have made a connection with her so quickly. He told her that he was in a really bad accident a few years ago. He said he thought he was going to die as he crawled out the window and collapsed on he road. He was in the hospital for a couple months. The cops told him they have never seen someone survive an accident as bad as his. And then, he became the first guy of the season to tell her that he is falling in love with her.
She is feeling pretty much the same about him, and he got the rose. She said she had another surprise (my guess fireworks)...and yep, it was fireworks.
Back at the house, Ian wonders if Kaitlyn knows he's there. He said women like him and he doesn't know why Kaitlyn wouldn't want a guy who went to Harvard and has traveled the world. He talked to Nick, and he told him that he thinks if he (Ian) was the Bachelor, and had 25 options, he could make it work. He then said he doesn't find Kaitlyn interesting, and he doesn't think that something is wrong with him, he thinks something is wrong with her. He is tired of this rejection. He said at the Rose Ceremony, he is going to make his last stand on this journey.
Cocktail Party
Ian is setting the stage for his big "last stand". He says that Kaitlyn isn't half as hot as his ex-girlfriend and he knows she isn't into him and there is no future there.
Kaitlyn takes Jared up to her room in the hotel. She reassured him that she trusts him and his heart and knows he is there for the right reasons. He told her that he thinks that he is falling in love with her.
The guys spy on Joe making out with Kaitlyn outside. That made Ian very upset. He thinks she is only there to make out with guys. He continues to say what a great bachelor he would make because he is so smart and successful and good looking and he can get a lot of women in his personal life...yada yada yada. If that's true, why are you here?!
So it's time for the sit-down, and Ian starts off by saying that she told them all to be honest. He said he feels like everyone is there on a vacation from their lives. He came to find a wife, and the rest of the guys are busy making jokes about farts, poop, and sex. He said all that stuff might work for her, but it doesn't work for him. He came there expecting to see a girl who had had her heart broken by Chris, not the girl who wanted to get her field plowed...but that's the girl who showed up. As you can imagine, Kaitlyn's facial expressions leave nothing to the imagination, and you can see she is boiling. He said point blank that he thinks that she is only there to make out with a bunch of guys on TV. Ouch! Then he dropped another bomb and said that bringing Nick in...he doesn't question his intentions, he questions HERS! He said he only sees her as a surface level person and wonders if she really is that shallow of a person.
