Chris H. tells the girls that Chris's 3 sisters will be helping him with the dates for the week.
Date #1: Kaitlyn, Samantha, Juelia, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Megan, Ashley S., Ashley I.
"Let's do what feels natural", is what the date card said. They all think it means going without their makeup.
Chris drives the girls (4 of them) in one car, while Megan drove another car, to a lake. It didn't take them long to strip down to their suits and took off into the lake. Chris was interested to see how the girls reacted to being out in nature.
Ashley I. said she needed to break out of her shyness, so she took her top off and jumped in the lake. Crazy Kaitlyn was next to join her. Kelsey, on the other hand, thought this date was for bimbos, and she wasn't about to act like that. She just was not enjoying this date at all. She said her mouth hurt from fake smiling. She said the lake was dingy and was basically a "hell hole". She said she wanted to take a fork and stab herself in the eye. Wow. She really didn't hold anything back did she? Of course, she didn't say any of that to Chris, though.
Chris then tells the girls that they aren't leaving, that they are going to camp overnight there. Kelsey just died a little inside. She said, in a very whiny voice, "I want to be where I want to be, and I don't want to be here!" Then she said "As if this couldn't get any worse..." ...cue the bee buzzing around her that stings her. Poor thing...
Chis said he has his own tent (which was way bigger than the rest), the rest of them will be 2 to a tent. They decide to race to see who can get their tent up the fastest. Megan and Kaitlyn won. Ashley I. had absolutely no idea what they were doing.
They make a fire and do some grilling.
Kaitlyn and Chris have a nice conversation, and it actually had some meaning. They talked about how they like to be shown love from their significant other.
Kelsey told Chris she had a bad day because she got stung by a bee. She asked him if they were seriously spending the night out there. Meanwhile, the rest of the girls talk about how fake she is, with her fake smile and her fake laugh. The girls call Kelsey out for being "pouty" and how she completely changes her mood when Chris is around.
Then came crazy Ashley S., who seemed drunk. She said she wished she had some music. Then she starts doing some crazy "ta-ta" dance. I have no idea what she's doing. She went for one-on-one with Chris, and the girls started telling scary stories about scary Ashley. They said they were actually scared for Chris. Cut to them talking, and she's just staring at him with those crazy eyes she has. She starts whispering so low that we, and Chris couldn't understand her. She was saying something about him being a Scorpio and how she doesn't care about that. She starts mumbling and slurring her words, saying something about how she loves everything about him. Then she kind of stared him down, not blinking and said "I hope that resonates in your mind tonight." Creep alert! He just cocks his head to the side, says nothing and just stares back at her. I think he literally has no idea what to say to her. Luckily, it was at that moment that all of the girls just decided to yell "Chris!", and she said, "I'll let you go, but I really won't let you go, so...(whispers even lower)". I don't know where he and Ashley were, but in order to get back to the girls at the campfire, they had to come down this really steep hill. The girls said it was an accident waiting to happen.
Ashley I. applied even more makeup, and pulled Chris aside. She told him that she had a huge crush on him. She said she was so shy and felt like she was in school again. She just kept saying over and over and over through the whole night how much she wanted the rose. She seemed like she was going to do anything to get it.
The group date rose goes to Katilyn. She later said it was great, because she was drunk. Ashley I. was in shock because she didn't think anyone else could have possibly matched up to the connection she had with Chris tonight. She didn't even see Kaitlyn as being a threat. She said apparently he still doesn't know the real her, so she is going to show him. Later that night, she sneaks into his tent and wakes her up. She said she feels like she is being portrayed as something she's not. She tells him that she is so innocent and that she's never had a real boyfriend before. He told her from the moment he met her, he got the impression that she is a smart, well-rounded girl. She said most people think she's so different and that most people can't figure her out. Chris said he was a little foggy and he had no idea what she was trying to tell him. She thinks he totally got it. I can't imagine how anyone could be confused by her...not! Her actions say one thing, but her mouth is saying another, kind of wrapped in a riddle.
Chris's Sisters
Back at the house, Chris's sisters show up and meet the 7 girls who didn't go on the date. Jillian was passed out outside by the pool. Ha! She tried to cover herself up and join the party...she was mortified. What a first impression.
They take each of the girls for a little one on one time to get to know them better. Whitney made a pretty good impression with them. Britt was nervous, but she told them that she felt like she was a front runner. Jade also made a good impression. She told them that she was born in Nebraska, she models in LA now, but also launched her own organic makeup line. Wondering what his sisters think of her now, now that I'm sure they're all fully aware of her naked modeling.
Carly broke down saying that she hasn't had guys be very nice to her in the past.
Date #2: Jade
Chris's sisters chose Jade for the one-on-one, and she gets a royal ball date, where she will be getting the "Cinderella" treatment. Chris doesn't know that she is the one who is coming on the date with him.
On the day of the date, this weird lady with pink hair whisks Jade away and tell her that they are going to transform her into a modern day princess. Ashley I. is totally losing it...like totally. She is physically in pain. The rest of the girls are basically drooling watching her. They even tell Jade that she can keep the shoes if she likes them, and the earrings too.
Chris is excited to see who his sisters picked for the date. He was so happy when he saw Jade coming down the stairs. She told him that it really meant a lot that her sisters thought so highly of her.
She told him that she was engaged at 21. He said he also was engaged to someone he dated for 7 years. They shared quite a lot with each other on this date, and they seem to have a lot in common. He continues to be impressed with her, and he gave her the date rose. Then he tells her he has one more surprise. Let me guess...this season's first private concert? Pretty close...it was a full orchestra playing just for them so they could dance on this tiny raised platform.Chris had some moves! He even did a simultaneous dip/kiss. Then it was midnight, and Jade had to leave, and the fairytale was over.
Back at the house, Ashley I. put on the dress that she brought specifically if she was chosen to go on a princess date. She decided to have her own ball. The girls said it was so sad because she didn't have a prince charming. She went inside and ate some corn on the cob in her pretty princess dress. She couldn't believe that someone else got her princess date, and that "Prince Farming" is on her date without her.
Date #3: Whitney, Becca, Britt, Carly, Nikki, Jillian
6 wedding dresses were delivered to the house, one for each of the girls. Obviously, they are very confused about what they might be doing. They take a private jet to San Francisco. They are shocked when they find out that they are going to be running a race through mud, in MuckFest, which is a charity for MS. The one who finishes first gets to have a one-on-one dinner date with Chris.
Chris even did the race in his tux. That might be the first time when the lead actually joined in on the competition. There was a lot of falling, and lots of water and mud flying everywhere. In any competition, the athletic Jillian is going to be a threat. She was blowing them all away, and it wasn't even close. She didn't even need to run, she just walked through the whole course. Were the other girls even trying? Carly was just crying in the mud the whole time. Chris hung back and was helping some of them get through the ropes with their dresses. So Jillian won, and Britt came in 2nd.
Chris said he sees Jillian in the top 3 right now. On their date, they talked about having a family, and their "5-year plan". Jillian really didn't have a plan because that's "like 5 years away". Then she went on a tangent talking about her training and competitions. He just listened and nodded along, but he didn't really have a lot to contribute, and he couldn't even if he wanted to. He said her words were coming out too fast for his mind to comprehend. At one point, he actually said that as the words started flying over his head, he began to see unicorns and dancing fairies..."quite beautiful"! That might be the funniest thing a lead has ever said about someone! Wow...I seriously couldn't stop laughing.
She continued talking and let out a few cuss words here and there. Chris began thinking about the romantic setting that they were in, and how maybe they just didn't have the romantic connection. Oh man, and now it seems like she's a little drunk, and she asks him if he'd rather have sex with a homeless girl who's talking to her reflection or not have sex for 5 years. He says "um...there's also this" and grabs for the rose. He tells her that of course she's gorgeous and that he loves her energy, but he's truly looking for his wife and he doesn't feel like they have that chemistry right now. He doesn't think their goals are aligned. She said the setting has made her nervous, and he understood, but he's going with his gut and it's not there for him. She started getting really frustrated and upset, because of the situation. She said she was sorry she couldn't share her heart with him sooner.
He said they were given the most romantic settings to try to make something work, but they were falling face first. And with that, he sent her home. Before this date, I would have absolutely said she was getting a rose. But as the date was going, I knew it really wasn't going well, and you could tell he was really turned off.
Cocktail Party
Megan blindfolds Chris and tells him to stay put until she comes back. She brings some food and he has to guess what they are using taste, smell and...she doesn't know the other one.
Ashley I. is freaking out. She said she thought she made it clear to him that she was a virgin. Now she's thinking that he didn't get it, so she's going to tell him straightforward that she's a virgin. She hopes he still thinks she's marriage material. She asked him to tell her what he gathered from their tent conversation. And...he said it was intriguing, and she's more conservative than she comes across. And that was about it. She said that she was alluding to the fact that she was a virgin. He said he didn't see that one coming. She said it's not something she's super serious about, but she's just waiting. What does that even mean? He said he admires that about her. She freaked about because for the first time he didn't kiss her. She thinks it freaked him out. And then the tears came...wah wah wah. Mackenzie tried to comfort her by saying she promised that she would be OK. So the immature 21 year old is trying to comfort her. Then she just started telling everyone that she's a virgin and that she told Chris about it. The girls who didn't know were shocked, and someone said that her mouth is definitely not a virgin. Then Becca shocks the entire group by saying that she was also a virgin.
Britt is feeling nervous because she hasn't seen him all week. She said that she heard thinks about the camping date and how girls (Kaitlyn) were taking their clothes off and how some girls almost went home after that date because he was kind of only into those girls. She wanted to know why those actions and behaviors are being validated. Good question Britt! He said that wasn't the reason why Kaitlyn got the rose. Chris got upset because he respects Britt a lot and it hurt him that she was so concerned about his integrity and his actions with the other girls. It really made him stop and think. He really didn't have a good answer, he just kind of him-hawed around the subject. He said he wasn't rewarding inappropriate behavior. She apologized for putting him on the spot and she wanted to know she wasn't angry with him, she just kind of wanted some answers. He left kind of upset and just kind of walked away from her without saying anything. He went into the room and addressed the rest of the girls and said he's there to find a wife and if anyone questions his intentions then they should just go home. Needless to say, there were some shocked faces, and no one except for Britt had any idea where that came from.
Rose Ceremony:
Get Roses (11) -- Ashley I., Becca, Britt, Carly, Jade (Date Rose), Kaitlyn (Date Rose), Kelsey, Mackenzie, Megan, Samantha, Whitney
Going Home (4) -- Ashley S., Jillian, Juelia, Nikki
Finally, crazy Ashley S. is gone! I will miss her truly bizarre and out there conversations. For her goodbye, she walked toward him with her crazy eye stare that was so creepy. Apparently the producers thought they had made enough fun of her, and they didn't show any of what was rumored to be an eventful exit, where she went off on Chris and production. I was so looking forward to seeing that! No wait...after the promos, here it comes! She said slurring her speech again "I have no feelings, I am who I am. I'm not worried about me at all" and then she started hooting like an owl...and then my recording stopped...nooooo!
He was sad to see Juelia go, and he walked her out. He knew because she had a daughter that as soon as he knew it wasn't there, that he needed to send her home to her daughter.
