Where we left off last week, eliminated Kimberly made her way back into the house to talk to Chris. Now we see that she pulled him aside and tells him that she feels like she didn't get a chance to talk to him that night and she didn't want to let this opportunity slip through her fingers. She said that she felt like she was meant to go there and meet him. She said she couldn't walk away that easily. He said it was a tough decision, and he talks to Chris H. about her wanting another shot. He said he wasn't sure what kind of a message that sends to the other girls if he lets her stay. Chris H. said it was totally up to him. And his choice was to bring her back! He brought her back into the house and made an announcement to the rest of the girls and explains why he decided to let her stay. That would be a first in Bachelor/Bachelorette history. So now instead of 22, we have 23 girls moving on after the first night.
Chris H. Talks to the Girls
Chris H. tells the girls that Chris is living just 15 yards down the driveway. He also says there are no rules. They should make the most of any chance they get to be with Chris. This is a recipe for disaster...do not give these girls any ideas!
Megan and Jillian immediately break into Chris's house and snoop around while he is on his group date.
Date #1: Jade, Tandra, Ashley I., Mackenzie, Kimberly, Tara
The girls meet Chris for a pool party. Right away you can tell this season is going to be a very low key. There aren't any gimmicks so far, it was literally them just in a pool having fun.
He talks with Kimberly first, and they recreate their first meeting.
Later, he takes the girls for a walk in the city, with just their bikinis on. The "show me your country" line from the date card is that they will be having a tractor race in downtown L.A.
The race gets started, and they are barely moving. It was hilarious! Ashley started to pull ahead, as Chris just sits their sipping his coffee...because it's going to be awhile til someone crosses the finish line. And finally, it's Ashley for the win!
Chris takes Ashley for a walk and they end up sipping champagne and sitting on a tractor together. So far, their conversation is very surface level...not very deep at all.
Chris tells the group that it is hard to date 6 girls at once, so he would like to finish out the evening just dating one girl, so he decides to take Mackenzie, out of nowhere. That was kind of awkward for the other 5, as they just sit there, with nothing to do. At this point, he hasn't given anyone the Date Rose, but all of the girls are assuming that Mackenzie will get it.
Chris and Mackenzie have some alone time, and it is so obvious that there is a huge age difference between them, and she is so immature. She's 21 and he's 33. The first thing she asks him was if he had ever had his ears pierced. He laughed and said no one had ever asked him that before, but he actually did a long time ago, and the holes have completely grown shut. Then she tells him "something funny", which is that she likes guys with big noses. Really?! She told him that he had a perfect nose. He said "so it's big?" She said it was perfect...he thought the whole thing was awkward. She asks him if he believes in aliens, and said he wasn't sure. At this point, he said some red flags were starting to go up. Yeah, I would think so. Then she said it had been so long since she'd been on a date, so it feels new to her. She said it's been about a year. Then she told him that the main reason that she hasn't been dating for awhile is because she has a son. He told her she is tough for doing it on her own and that she worked up until she had him. He seemed surprised, but he seemed pretty cool with it. She pulled out a picture and she said she new if she showed him a picture that he wouldn't be able to resist him. I don't know how many times she said "he's so cute". He pulls out the Date Rose, and he said that he sees something genuine with her and that they have a lot in common (they do?). For those reasons, he gives her the Date Rose, which means she will be safe at the Rose Ceremony. They shared a kiss.
Back at the house, Juelia shares with the girls the story of her husband committing suicide.
After the date, Mackenzie shared ALL the details about all of the kissing, which obviously made all the other girls jealous.
Date #2: Megan
Megan thought the Date Card was just a note from Chris...she didn't think it meant that she was going on a date with him. Has she never watched this show before? It took quite a bit of convincing from the other girls that this was an her invitation on a date.
They head to the airport, and take a private plane ride to Las Vegas, where they then get n a helicopter to fly over the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. The whole time, she was so excited and kept saying that she felt like she was in a dream and she couldn't believe how special she felt. The helicopter landed at the bottom of the Grand Canyon by the Colorado River. OK, I have to admit...that's pretty cool. They had a little picnic by the river. She talks about her friends convincing her to apply for the show. As she's talking about her dad collapsing and eventually passing away, there is a very, very noisy plane/helicopter that was so distracting! After that, her mom encouraged her to take this leap of faith. She said she wants him to know that she's there for the right reasons. They share a kiss, and he offers her the Date Rose. She said she has never felt like this or been this happy in her entire life. He feels like there is something there with her.
Date #3: Kelsey, Trina, Alissa, Tracy, Jillian, Becca, Amber, Ashley S., Juelia, Kaitlyn, Britt
The girls are driven, in the completely dark, scary location that we can't tell exactly what it is. The girls are in the limo when there's some shadowy looking figures moving very quickly. Next, they start running at the limo and banging on the windows. They look like werewolves and zombies. Needless to say, they were screaming at the tops of their lungs and climbing all over each other. Chris peeks his head in the limo...as himself...and they freak out! He thought it was a good joke, but most of them were genuinely freaked out.
Chris tells them that they are going to divide into 3 teams of 3 and they are going to paint ball shoot at zombies. Crazy Ashley S. talks about shooting people from other teams and they all try to correct her that they were not shooting PEOPLE, they are only shooting the ZOMBIES. They were all so worried...they didn't want any kind of weapon in her hands.
I think this has to be the freakiest date ever. It was so dark, and they're hunting zombies. Yikes! They all seemed to have fun with it.
Ashley S. took it way too seriously, and continued to shoot the "dead" zombies. She drunkenly says "I feel like I'm in the Mesa Verde". What the heck does that even mean? There is something seriously wrong with this girl!
Finally, all the zombies are dead, and it's time to hang out. Chris said "you guys really 'killed' it today." Hahaha....
Ashley is just so spacey. She just stares at things, and mumbles. Shes looking at a candle and talking about angels.
Chris has some one-on-one with Kaitlyn. He thinks she's a firecracker and is so much fun. He just wonders why she's there for him. She said she put everything on hold to be there, and then they kiss.
Ashley starts talking about "the truth" and "boom". They can't understand a word she is saying. She told them to go find their own way to the truth.
Ashley gets to talk to Chris, and she tells him she wants to play hide and seek. He asks if she should hide or if he should hide, and she spaces out. Then she says they should just walk around. She asks if they are in Mesa Verde...he has no clue. He said she is so different, and she can be talking and then she just drifts off into something he doesn't understand. She makes no sense...at all. He just needs to say goodbye because obviously she needs help. Chris is doing an ITM, and Ashley just wanders over and starts talking to him. He asks if she is holding up OK, and she said she doesn't know what he's asking. He said maybe they should just have some one-on-one time tomorrow. He can't get rid of her, and she is just really falling off her rocker. Chris said something has gotten in her head. For some reason though, he says he still needs some time to figure her out. Chris...RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY FAST AND DON'T LOOK BACK! She's a looney toon! So, she wanders off again, and it looks like they might be sending her back to the house.
Chris then talks to Britt, and we're back to normal, thank goodness. He tells her that he loves how considerate and kind she is. He got a gift for her to show her that he's thinking of her. He gave her a card that said "A free kiss, from Chris"...a play on her "free hug". It's kind of cheesy, but also really sweet and thoughtful!
Chris gives the Date Rose to Kaitlyn. Britt is bummed because this happened right after they just kissed.
Back at the house, Jordan is drunk...again, and she's trying to twerk upside down against the wall. She goes off on her dislike of Jillian and how she thinks she has the hairiest butt. Oh...my...
Cocktail Party
Whitney and her weird voice are up for the first one-on-one. She feels like she might be off of his radar a little bit since she didn't get a date with him this week. She takes him outside, where she has some of his favorite whiskey. She toasts to their "first date" and getting to know each other better on this journey.
Ashley I. shares with some of the girls that she has never had a boyfriend and that she is a virgin. Mackenzie is so jealous of her because guys want to take girls' virginity. She said she can't use that because she has a kid, which is a dead giveaway that she's not a virgin. Mackenzie is so obsessed over this!
Ashley I. tells Chris that he can make 3 wishes on her Princess Jasmine belly button ring. He said he almost kissed her on the tractor, so that would be his first wish. She said he had to rub it first, and then it might come true...which it did. It got a little bit intense, especially for a first date. Some of the girls see and they are having a hard time dealing. Britt was the one taking it the hardest, because she feels like he's her boyfriend and she really does like him a lot.
Amber kissed Chris as well, and she couldn't wait to run over and tell someone. She told Jordan, and she freaked out. And guess who had one too many drinks again...Jordan. And I thought Tara was going to be the hammered one again. Jordan is acting like Tara on the first night.
Jordan steals Chris from someone and kind of makes a scene. She said she put on more lipstick because she said it looked like he was kissing girls with a lot of lipstick on. She wasn't really making any sense, and this obviously isn't winning her any points. She said earlier that he hasn't gotten to see the real her yet, and if this is her...yeah...I think he'll pass.

Embarrassing Moment: Chris calls Juelia, and Jillian comes forward, then slips and falls on the rug.
So, the talk of the night now, I'm sure, is 'how on earth did Ashley S. get a rose?' It just proves how staged the show must be in order for this fruit loop to get a rose. It's clear that Chris is going to have nothing in common with this woman. He can't even have a coherent conversation with her because her mind is on another planet. It's clear that she is only still around because she makes for good TV. Part of me is kind of glad she's sticking around because it is really funny to see what she's going to do next. But part of me kind of feels bad for her, because we're all making fun of her. But on the other hand, she could just be doing all of this to get attention and be remembered. It's hard to say. Regardless, it's hard to see that she's here for the right reasons, because we haven't seen her have a legitimate conversation with him. I can't wait to see what she does next week.
