Cody wasn't kidding when he said he was going to come to the farm to train with him to get him ready! I could watch a show with just them two...I think that would be great!
Video Intros of Some of the Girls--First Impressions
Britt REALLY likes to hug.
Jillian is a beast...she is crazy strong!
Amanda is...crazy! And she admits that! I guess that's the first step in admitting you have a problem. She lives at home because she doesn't like to pay bills, cook or clean, and it's great that her mom does all that stuff for her. Yeah, great qualities I'm sure Chris is looking for.
Whitney has one of the most annoying voices ever. RealitySteve wrote about this a couple weeks ago, and he was not kidding about it being high-pitched, nasally, and very baby-ish.
Mackenzie already has a man in her life...her son, Kale.
Alissa is very good at doing a very staged portrayal of her actual job as a flight attendant. I found it to be very desperate and VERY cheesy the way she incorporated the rose and Chris into the flight attendant dialogue...lines like:
“Smoking is not permitted on this aircraft, unless you’re smoking hot. Hey Chris.”
“Roses may be handed out if you’re interested in continuing this journey to find love.”
“And if you aren’t here for the right reasons, your nearest exit may be in the limo behind you.”
You could absolutely tell that the entire thing was staged and she was not actually on a real flight.
Limo Entrances, Part 1
Britt -- the long, long, long, extended hug with lots of breathing that got really awkward that we saw from all the previews. She gave him a piece of paper and told him to come find her later and she would explain it. It said "Free hug from Britt". Didn't he already get his free hug?Wow, what is there to explain about that? I think it's pretty self-explanatory...he's not an idiot. He seemed to like it though.
Whitney -- she's watched since high school but she wouldn't be there if it wasn't for him...and there's that annoying, whiny voice again...geesh, and it's only night 1!
Kelsey -- she was nervous, but now that she sees him she's not; and she's just a regular girl.
Megan -- she's a little nervous, but not much else to note about their encounter.
Ashley I. -- it's hard to walk in her dress, and she's really nervous; she said "I'm not going to say "I'll see you inside', I'm going to say 'I'll talk to you later.'"
Trina -- "Hello farmer Chris!" She said it was so nice to meet him in person.
Reegan -- she brought along a medical box and she explained her weird job of selling human tissue; she wanted to get him something from the heart and she opens the box and it's something weird and bloody looking...obviously not real. He joked that he might need an extra heart. Ha!
Tara -- she comes out, not in a dress, but in a flannel, jean shorts and cowboy boots, because that's just who she is. He liked her style. She immediately felt out of place when she entered the house with all the girls dressed up. She immediately started hitting the booze.
Amber -- she brought her teddy bear because that's her comfort.
Nikki -- just flew in from Peru
Tara...again -- she had gone inside, and then decided to change, and then snuck back into the limo when he was talking to Nikki, and then came out again in her dress. She told him she wanted to show him that you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl (real original).
Amanda -- she hands the limo driver a letter and asks him to give it to Chris. It told him to turn around. Once he did, she came out and came up behind him. She said last season he won everyone over with his secret admirer letters, so she thought he deserved a secret admirer of his own. So, she goes inside and leaves him there, and he says "Is it OK to open my eyes?" No response, as he peaks open one eye and says "O...K...". Ha!
Jillian -- she grabs his arm and asks him if he's been working out, and she showed him her bicep. He grabbed her arm and said it was pretty hard.
Mackenzie -- she was calm before but now she's nervous
Ashley S. -- she's happy to see his face; she found a lucky penny on the way there, and when she normally finds one she puts it in her shoe, and she wonders if she can put it in his "sole"...get it, like in Soules...his last name. Lame! She tells him he doesn't have to take his shoe off, as she slides it into his shoe. She hopes that will bring him some encouragement.
Kaitlyn -- she doesn't know much about him other than his name is Chris, he's a farmer, and he can "plow" the bleep out of my field any day". She may not have cursed, but they bleeped it to make it seem like she did. Either way, it was a pretty dirty comment, and he seemed taken aback. She asked if he wasn't Chris or if he wasn't a farmer. He said he was both, that she just took his breath away with that. His next job was to find her inside and make her laugh like she did him. His comment as she walked away was "I didn't see that coming."
So the twist this season is that the first 15 girls come in, and he has time with all of them before the next 15 arrive. The talk inside amongst the girls is "are there more?", "where are the others?". They've all watched the show before and they know there should be more coming...but how can they come after he had given a speech.
Kaitlyn announces that she wants to tell everyone a joke because she usually does that and everyone laughs. Her joke was "Why did the walrus go to the Tupperware party? Because he wanted to find a tight seal". If you get it, yeah it's another dirty joke. But then there's Megan, who totally didn't get it. Those that got it, just half-heartedly laughed because they didn't really know what else to do.
He has some alone time, and first up is Britt. He's pretty enamored with her already. She said the hug thing is kind of cheesy, but she wanted to make an impression, and she thinks that a wife and a girlfriend should be a safe haven, and should be someone that will comfort and give hugs, and that's important to her.
Whitney -- I'm sorry, but I just can't handle that high squeaky voice! She tells him that she makes babies every day. She asks him if he inseminates hogs. He says he doesn't but people he works with does. She thinks that the whole farming and making babies thing is a major connection for them. She had a calendar that she was counting down the days until she got to meet him.
Nikki -- she was just in Peru days before, and she found a heart-shaped rock that she wanted to give it to him.
Amanda -- he came looking for his secret admirer, and he found Amanda as the person he hadn't seen yet. She's another one with an annoying voice...she's got a Chicago/Wisconsin accent that is really heavy.
Limo Entrances, Part 2
Samantha -- she's grateful and blessed to get to meet him
Michelle -- her heart is pounding...and so is his; she called him a babe
Juelia -- he said she was stunning...that's all we saw
Becca -- she is so excited to meet him; and he said she looked out of this world and loved her dress
...all the girls are getting insanely jealous and are spying on all the other girls entering and meeting him outside. The first group is calling the second group "The Others"...like on Lost. Great comparison!
Tandra -- enters on a motorcycle
Alissa -- she said she was worried for his safety, so she brought him a seatbelt and she wanted to show him how to use it because it was going to be a bumpy ride
Jordan -- she brought him whiskey because she thought he might be nervous
Nicole -- came out wearing a pig nose, and he said that was a brave move; she said she loves pigs and wanted to make him laugh and "ham it up for him" (the other girls thought it was cheesy, not sexy and they don't think Chris even has pigs on his farm, so she should have done her research)
Brittany -- she's wearing, basically nothing! It's like white see-through lace...yuck! She brought a cardboard prop that said #Soulesmates...another play on his last name...so cheesy!
Carly -- she's carrying a little karaoke box with a mic, and she sings her intro to him. Oh boy!
Tracy -- she read a note from her 4th grade class that said he should pick their teacher
Bo -- she said he's even more handsome in person
Kimberly -- she's so excited to be there
Kara -- she thinks they would make the cutest babies...yikes!
Jade -- he said she was perfection
More One-on-One Time
Kaitlyn -- she puts on some leggings and teaches him some break dance moves. He likes that she's goofy and down to earth.
Ashley S. -- crazy, crazy lady. She goes and picks a yellow rose from the garden and goes to break up his alone time with another girl. On her way to Chris, she was talking about how everyone is an onion. You have to cut them and peel back the layers, and some other crazy things. When she offered the rose to the girl, she said it was because she wanted to show her that she cared about her, but she wanted some time with Chris. The girl didn't take the rose, and she said that she was an onion. During her alone time, she stares at him crazily, and she tells him about her bucket list, which includes running in a sunflower field and riding a horse. Luckily, Megan comes to save Chris, and meanwhile, Ashley is still talking about an onion that she thinks is growing in the flower bed. She tells the camera guy to look at it. She said if it's a pomegranate, then bless it. "It is a pomegranate!" she says as she rips it from the bush. She said "I feel powerful". Is she drunk, or is she always this much of a space cadet? Seriously, what is her deal?! Watch out for that one Chris!
Mackenzie -- she wants to do some water color painting with him. He shares some of things he does on the farm like growing alfalfa. She's never heard of it, wonders what it is, and if it's organic.
Tara is completely hammered at this point! She says her best friends are "Jameson, Johnny Walker and Jack Daniels" (all kinds of alcohol). Wow...just...wow. What a first impression she is giving.
In some other stimulating conversations, some of the girls are talking about the First Impression Rose. Kaitlyn said they should call it the life jacket, and Kelsey agreed because it was red. Whitney said "I don't think life jackets are red." Wow.
Jade -- she talks about the traffic in LA being so much different than her small town in Nebraska. She got so flustered trying to find a parking spot that she just went home and cried.
Britt -- Britt is the recipient of the First Impression Rose. It was pretty obvious that he was drawn to her immediately, and moreso to her than most of the other girls. She said if she had one, she would give one right back to him. She accepted, and she then received the first kiss! I have to admit, they are pretty cute together. She said "this is going to be trouble, because I actually really like you."
Back in the live audience with Chris Harrison, he talks to some of the Bachelor alumni, and Michelle Money throws it out there, that she heard a rumor that Britt doesn't shower. What?!
Rose Ceremony

So, he ended up picking drunk Tara and crazy Ashley S. -- Chris, what were you thinking?!

During the entire Rose Ceremony, drunk Tara is about ready to fall over. She keeps rubbing her arms, clanking her feet on the floor, breathing heavily, hiccuping and whispering that she's delirious and that she almost fell over. She's apologizing for bumping into the other girls. The longer it goes that her name isn't being called, the more nervous she is getting. At about the halfway point, Chris stopped calling names and just walked out of the room. Chris talks to Chris Harrison and says that he was going to pick Tara, but she is falling over drunk. He's not sure if he should give her a chance or not. He said he got good vibes from her, but he's not sure what he wanted to do.
After the Rose Ceremony ended, Kimberly left, and then came back in to find Chris. We have to wait until next week to find out what happens. Aw, come on!
