I can't wait to see the aftermath of Natalie's move last Tribal that stunned EVERYONE! Plus the description of this episode says that a surprising Tribal Council results in one of the biggest blindsides of the season! We've had some big ones so far, so we could be in for another treat! I sure hope it's not a Jon blindside...with his idol...
Huyopa Camp
Natalie said she was confused who was voting for who...since they had decided to split the votes. That's actually not a bad idea. She said no one checked in with her and she got mixed up. Baylor didn't buy it, but Jon...big surprise bought it hook, line and sinker.
Natalie told Keith that she was basically there because she saved him. She is hoping that he will, in turn, help her take down Jon.
Reward Challenge
Challenge: 2 teams of 3 are strapped together, they collect water in buckets and run up a big teeter totter. They use the buckets to fill a larger bucket to try to get it to raise the bag, and then put together a puzzle.
Reward: Spa day
Teams:
Keith, Missy, Jon
Natalie, Baylor, Jaclyn
Keith and Jon are dragging Missy. She flogs and hits the posts, left and right.
Missy falls on her ankle, and they have to help her the whole way through the coarse. The hard thing is to stay balanced on the teeter totter and not spill the water.
Natalie, Baylor and Jaclyn work pretty well together to get to the puzzle. Once they get to the puzzle, Natalie tries to take control.
Keith, Jon and Missy make up a lot of ground...it's neck and neck, literally down to the last piece. The girls can't shove the pieces to one end to squeeze the last one in. And somehow, Keith, Jon and Missy get it first!
Missy tries to downplay her injury, even though her teammates were worried about her because it was swelling up.
Jon very quickly gave up his reward to Baylor because he didn't want any part of a spa day, and he knew Baylor and her mom would remember it forever.
Natalie volunteers to go to Exile Island. I can't imagine why she did it this time. She knows that Jon has the idol, so she won't find one there. She kind of has some damage control to do with her alliance, so why would she want to go off by herself for a few days? Maybe she will explain her logic...I'm sure she has a very good reason, I just can't for the life of me figure it out.
Baylor tells her mom to get on her back, and she literally carries her on her back to save her ankle.
Jon is happy that he will now get some alone time with Jaclyn for awhile, while the others are at their reward.
Reward
Missy's ankle according to Keith: "That ain't good." It's really swelling up, but she's trying to downplay it...it's going to catch up with her.
Keith enjoyed his first spa day...it let him wash all the "funk off" that's built up.Him getting a massage was hilarious! He doesn't want the guys at the firehouse to know about getting a massage and "all that extracurricular stuff". Haha! He's such a hoot! He really enjoyed himself and got rejuvinated. After his shower, he said he thought he looked like George Clooney!
Huyopa Camp
Jon and Jaclyn talk about Natalie's "mess up". Jon says he will bring that up with the jury. Jaclyn questions whether she and Keith have something going. She said she might not have trusted Alec and voted him out on purpose. Jon continues to their their 5 is strong and she just messed up. Jon, listen to your woman!
Immunity Challenge
Natalie had an emotional time at Exile. She is really missing her sister. Her tribe brought her a cup of rice, and she broke down.
Missy hobbled her way in to the challenge with a walking stick. She doesn't want to quit, and she wanted to try the challenge just on one foot. She said her ankle is getting worse. She is in tears as medical checks her out. As the medic touches her ankle she, squirms in pain. He thinks it could be fractured and wants to pull her from the game to do an x-ray. Missy is obviously devastated, and Baylor is also in tears. He tells her that they can wrap the ankle to immobilize it. He said it was up to her if she wanted to be pulled from the game or not, since this is not life threatening. She says that's what she wants to do, and she will sit out the challenge.
Challenge: stand on a teeter totter with your feet on very small footholds and arms are holding on to ropes attached to a vase in the middle and when it drops and breaks, you're out. It's a windy day, so good luck!
This looks so incredibly hard!
Jaclyn wobbles, and she is the first person out. Keith had a big bobble, but he had a nice recovery.
Baylor is out! And just with that, there is a huge gust of wind...like huge! I can't believe they all held it steady on that one!
These 3 are definitely in it to win it...they mean business. Natalie looks like a rock, while Keith struggles left and right, and his vase finally falls.
It's down to Natalie and Jon. I don't think Natalie has moved once. Jon has kind of been all over, but he recovers nicely. He has a strange strategy of leaning way forward over his vase.
Suddenly, he doesn't really move, but somehow, his vase falls, and it's Natalie for the win. This woman is a beast! What is this, win #3 for her?
Huyopa Camp
Jon helps Missy hobble in to camp. Of course no one's going to vote out the handicapped old lady now.
Everyone talks about still voting out Keith. Meanwhile, they are going to split votes 2 for Jon, 2 for Jaclyn, and the other 2 for Keith. If they play their cards right, Jon will go. But, if he uses his idol, they will go for Jaclyn instead when they revote. Missy can't vote for Jon and Baylor is trying to convince her that it's necessary. Missy tells both Baylor and Natalie that it's not going to happen. Baylor said she doesn't have an alliance with Jon, but Missy said she does and she doesn't want to go against her word to him.
Jaclyn is worried that they are going to blindside Jon. He said they were going for Keith last time, so they are going to go for him again. However, he is still not taking into account Natalie's intentions.
Tribal Council
Jon and Jaclyn talk about how they feel secure with their group of 5. This already sounds bad for one of them. My guess is that Jon feels way to secure to use his idol. He made a smart play (because he listened to Natalie), once already...I have a feeling he won't be so lucky a second time.
Jeff said tonight would be a great night to make a big move...major foreshadowing there.
The Votes
...and Jon does not play his idol...bye bye Jon...it was nice knowing you
Keith
Jaclyn
Keith
Jaclyn
Jon
Jon
And we have a tie, and Jon is shocked (big surprise). And their plan worked...he did not play the idol, so now he is screwed and he knows it.
This time only Natalie, Missy and Baylor are voting.
Jon
Jon...and that's enough...he's toast
Jury looks happy and surprised. He told them all it was a nice move, as he made a nice move of his own...forgetting to bring his torch.
Jaclyn looks pissed. She told him he should be worried and he didn't listen. She then shook it off because she thought maybe she was just being paranoid. He only has himself to blame for this one. He's been lucky to make it as far as he has, with how careless and nonchalant as he has played this game. It's actually really shocking that he wasn't voted out long ago. His saving grace was Natalie telling him to play the idol. She wasn't going to be helping him out this time.
Now, Jaclyn's all alone in this game, and she has no idol to use, because it just walked out of the game in Jon's pocket. (Or maybe not...maybe he was dumb enough to not even bring it to Tribal! Wouldn't that be something, if he left it back at camp and Jaclyn knew where to find it...that would be awesome!)
First rule of Survivor: if you feel safe...you should be worried, and you should DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!
So, we have to be rooting for Natalie at this point, right? I mean, she has been running this show for quite some time now. It's her game to lose. If she makes it to the finals, I think she wins hands down. No one else has done anything in this game...like, at all. Her only problem is that she is a big threat, so she's going to need to keep winning challenges. I think she can only use her idol at the next challenge, and then she will be on her own.
Besides Natalie, I'm rooting for Keith just because he's hilarious and he has somehow beaten the odds.
