Survivor, Ep. 31.3

Drop Your Buffs! 2 Becomes 3
Terry is feeling on top of the world. He feels like he went from the bottom to the top without any fear of going home. They have Spencer to go next if they have to go to Tribal. The tribe as a whole feels like their team morale is at an all-time high.

That all comes crashing down when Probst says "Drop your buffs!". And they aren't just switching tribes, there will now be 3 tribes of 6 each. The 3rd tribe will have to start from scratch building a shelter and a camp. They will have supplies like they did at the beginning of the game, but the rest is a big do-over.

New Bayon - pink
Jeremy, Spencer, Stephen, Monica, Kelly Wigglesworth, Kimmi

4 Bayon: Jeremy, Stephen, Monica, Kimmi
2 former Ta Keo: Kelley, Spencer

New Ta Keo - green
Joe, Terry, Keith, Kass, Ciera, Kelley Wentworth

4 former Bayon: Keith, Joe, Kass, Ciera
2 Ta Keo: Terry, Kelley

New Angkor - yellow
Woo, Varner, Savage, Abi, Peih-Gee, Tasha

4 former Ta Keo: Woo, Varner, Abi, Peih-Gee
2 former Bayon members: Savage, Tasha

Angkor Camp

They find they have nothing...no food, no bamboo.

Right away, Varner says Savage is going to get on his nerves. Woo tries to settle him down and tell him to play smart. They, along wth Peih-Gee decide it's best to stay with their original 4.

Things are pretty somber on the Angkor tribe the next day...it's pouring down rain. They are all getting drenched and they are all pretty down in the dumps. Poor Tasha, this brings back some awful memories of her first time around on her pitiful tribe.

Tasha notices that Abi and Peih-Gee don't really get along, and she hopes that will work to her advantage. Tasha and Abi talk and Abi asks what her other tribe was like. Tasha said they are tight, but she is sure if they make the merge that Abi could easily join them.

Savage and Tasha tell Varner they want him to join them. They said they will easily get him to jury. He's like, "The jury? Oh, how nice of you." He's like, they are on the bottom and they can get rid of them so easily. He wants to make sure they don't get to Peih-Gee or Abi, otherwise things could start to go really, really wrong, very fast.

TaKeo Camp
Joe and Terry are psyched because they have a very big, strong tribe. They should dominate, and Terry doesn't think they will lose.

Joe, being useful yet again, snaps the neck of a chicken.

Kass and Ciera know they lucked out with where they ended up. They think if they stick with their original 4, they should be good.

Joe asks Kelley what she thinks about Terry and if he can be trusted. She said she likes him, but they weren't working together before. Kelley basically says to the camera that she is willing to throw him under the bus.

Right away, Kelley answers a question I had: does she still have the idol. My fear was that she wouldn't bring it with her because she didn't know they were going to be switching tribes...and if she ended up on a different tribe, it would be gone forever, still buried where she left it. But alas, she did put it in her bag.

Bayon Camp
Spencer feels like the Survivor gods are smiling on him because he has just got the second chance that he needed by being saved and is now being lifted from the almost-certain futre of being voted out next because of being all alone. I'm so happy for him, and I'm hoping this new tribe will truly put him in a better situation, and I hope he doesn't end up on the bottom of the new tribe.

Stephen is feeling so much better about his standings now; he doesn't feel like he is on the bottom any more since he is one of the 4 original Bayon and they now have majority. The 4 Bayon feel pretty solid which puts Spencer and Wigglesworth on the bottom...again...womp womp. Great. I really think Spencer and Stephen should work together. They are very similar in the way they think, strategize, and how they fit in socially.

Spencer made a plea at the last Tribal Council and he told his tribe he would try to change. So, he is getting to work on fixing his flaws, which lie in his social game. He says he has to try something new: have feelings. He talks openly with Jeremy about his girlfriend. He said he cares about what Jeremy says and thinks and asks for his advice. He hopes that this will help him form a true bond and he really, truly wants to get to know Jeremy better and he hopes that will also help him in the game. They seemed to form a bond and connected well. I'm hoping for the best.

Stephen knows he is on the side with the advantage, but he still thinks he needs to find an idol. He said it would put him in a power position and it would help his alliance. So, the 4 decide to go out looking. Stephen kept looking in all the dirtiest and hard-to-rach places, while everyone else just kind of looked at the surface-level. Jeremy uses a stick to move some leaves, and he finds the clue!

Immunity Challenge
Challenge: push a cart through obstacle course, get a key from a tower and then collect 3 chests; disassemble the cart and pass pieces through a wall, then reassemble, and then 2 tribe members will assemble the pieces from the chests to make a puzzle. This challenge is from Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty -- Kass, Spencer, and Tasha all participated -- they are all on different tribes now, but back then they were on the same and they performed horribly and lost

Spencer gets the first key for Bayon. The other tribes are close behind. Ta Keo is the first to get the chest on the cart.

Woo gets the 2nd key and Angkor is in the lead.

They get to the 3rd chest, and Jeremy uses that opportunity to snatch his idol without anyone noticing!

All 3 are about neck-and-neck.

Ta Keo is in the lead and they moved obstacles which took some time, but they got their cart moving smoothly after that. They have a pretty big lead, with the other 2 neck-and-neck.

Joe and Kass have a huge lead working on their puzzle. They are actually working really well together!

Peih-Gee and Tasha for Angkor. Tasha worked on this puzzle her first season. Woo eventually replaces Tasha for some reason.

Spencer and Monica are struggling. Jeremy takes over for Monica.

Joe and Kass finish and Ta Keo wins immunity!

Woo and Peih-Gee making up ground, but it is Jeremy and Spencer who start flying and closing the gaps. Varner is yelling from the sidelines, but it doesn't help...Jeremy and Spencer get the last piece in and Bayon wins immunity!!

But wait, the fun isn't over yet! Varner looks over to Bayon and starts mouthing something to Kelly (looks like he mouthed "Monica and Kimmi"). Tasha sees him, and she runs over with her arms in the air to block him. She shouts "We have a rat! We have a rat!" Oh, the excitement! If looks could kill, Varner would have killed someone...yikes! Probst asks what all the chatter was about. Varner said he tried to look at Wigglesworth and then Tasha started yelling about him being a rat. Tasha said they were trying to bond as a tribe and that doesn't send a good message. Varner interrupts her and says that he made a deal with Savage and he turned right around and made a deal with Peih-Gee or Tasha (couldn't tell who he was pointing at).  Savage says they still have a deal. Woo is upset because he didn't try to make a deal with him, and he isn't surprised that he is the last to know. He said Jeff is just doing it again. Tasha is like...mmmmhmmm. Varner is in trouble!

Angkor Pre-Tribal
Savage thought his days were numbered, but now he thinks he has a chance to get Varner out instead. He said he gave them ammunition to get him out. Savage said Varner isn't pulling his weight at camp and he can't be trusted. Woo and Peih-Gee said he made a good case and they would talk about it. They said they need to stay strong for challenges. If they could believe that Tasha and Savage would stay true, it might be worth joining up with them. Abi also thinks that Varner needs to go, but she still doesn't know if she can trust Peih-Gee. Abi said she feels like she is on the bottom with them and she said however Savage and Tasha tell her to vote, that's what she is going to do. Peih-Gee doesn't like how she talks to her, so she wants Abi gone next. Savage couldn't believe how quickly things changed. Abi told Varner that they were going to vote for Peih-Gee. Oh my...what a mess! Who knows what's going to happen! Whatever happens, it looks like Tasha and Savage are actually going to be safe, and Varner might actually be safe too!

Tribal Council
Talk centers around numbers and how Savage and Tasha would likely be on the outs simply because they were in the minority, 4-2.

Then of course, Probst asks about the outburst after the challenge. Varner said he was trying to send a message to someone he cares about. I don't know if I would own up to that or not, that doesn't make him look too good. He said he wasn't being a rat and it surprised him that Tasha called him that. He said he was tired and he doesn't even remember the meltdown. Tasha said they should take him out now so they don't have to worry about loyalty down the road.

Varner said he thinks Savage and Tasha have made their way to the top of this tribe because the only names he has heard thrown around were his, Abi's, and Tasha's. He said he thinks all the ideas for who to go home have come from them.

The Votes
Abi
Peih-Gee
Abi
Peih-Gee
Peih-Gee
Peih-Gee

Haha! Oh my goodness! Abi survives again...and Woo is screwed...again! He seems to be clueless about everything and every vote.

I can't believe Savage and Tasha survivved, but I'm even more surprised that Varner and Abi survived as well!
