Nagarote Camp
Shirin is reeling after the uber shock of Max getting blindsided. In him getting blindsided, she was also blindsided. Shirin asks Carolyn if she is going to work with her or not. Carolyn said her and Max treated her like crap and spent all their time together.
Hali is truthful with Shirin and said they voted out Max because he did some annoying things and her name came up as doing annoying things as well.
Shirin has a boo-hoo pity party for herself and relates how she feels to how she felt growing up in the OC around rich people. Oh, such a poor thing.
Escameca Camp
Dan is back at it again...he relates his story to his new tribemates regaling his story of how he lost his underwear. Rodney is annoyed at hearing the same stories over and over. He bonded with Joaquin and said they need to stick together to keep each other sane. They bonded with not going to church every Sunday, having fun partying, etc. Mike isn't like them, so they know they only have each other. They have an east coast connection and want the money to stay on the east coast (Rodney--Boston, Joaquin--Miami). It's official, Season 30's first bromance.
Reward Challenge
This challenge is crazy! So much going on. Reward is getting taken to a turtle sanctuary to watch the turtles come out of the water back to the beach to begin laying their eggs. Then they will have a feast.
Escameca sits out Dan.
Rodney flies through the obstacles and he and Joaquin are up the first wall. Rodney is ready to launch sandbags at the targets. Will for Nagarote is lagging far behind and holding them up. Jenn is launching for Nagarote. She scores a point before Rodney does.
Rodney scores to tie it up. Joaquin takes his place. Hali scores for Nagarote. Joaquin ties it up.
Sierra hits on her first shot and puts Escameca up 3-2. Mike scores, it's 4-2. Carolyn connects and it's 4-3. Shirin scores and it's tied 4-4.
Joe finally connects and it's 5-4 with one target left. But now Will scores and it's tied again! Who knew this would be so close!
Jenn hits and Nagarote wins. Lookie there, the underdogs pulled it off. Then they did a little celebratory song and dance to rub it in a little bit.
Reward
The team is bonding, and as Carolyn put it, they are even tolerating Shirin.
After their meal, it was dark and it was time to grab the flashlights and watch for the turtles. And then we get to see the miracle of baby turtle eggs being laid.
Escameca Camp
Rodney is bummed...he really wanted that mac and cheese.
Joaquin talks to Sierra about her beef with Dan. He sees her as ammunition. He said what I feared...Joe is too strong and we don't want to keep him around too long. Joaquin said he can handle Rodney, while she thinks he's a hot head and loose cannon. Joaquin said they need 4, but she doesn't know if she can play the game with him. Rodney strolls up and hopes that Sierra isn't still mad at her. They talk about her like she's not even there. Joaquin wants to keep it a secret that they are working with Sierra. Rodney is cool with their 4, but when the time is right, he can flip. He thinks he's so smart, he thinks he's like Rocky Balboa because he thinks he's going to win the whole thing. Anyone else think this is foreshadowing for his impending blindside?
Rodney tells Mike that Joaquin is his puppet and he will do whatever he says. Rodney wants to throw the next immunity to get Joe out. Noooooo! Oh man, he just did the second worst thing. First he's overly confident and now he wants to throw a challenge. Red flags are going off all over the place here.
Mike's real alliance is with Kelly on Nagarote. He thinks throwing challenges might be a good idea because it would keep her safe. Oh man, I'm not liking this at all!
Immunity Challenge
Memory challenge to recreate series of items, going head to head. You have to be done first and have to have it right to score. First tribe to score 3 wins.
Escameca sits out Joaquin.
Carolyn vs. Rodney: Carolyn beats Rodney and scores first for Nagarote.
Hali vs. Sierra: Hali scores and it's 2-0 ...uh oh!
Will vs. Joe: Joe scores, woohoo! it's 2-1
Shirin vs. Dan: Dan scores and it's tied 2-2, woohoo!
Kelly vs. Mike: crap...he's gonna throw it for his partner in crime...dang it! ...and he's not even a good thrower. He stared at the blank screen after Kelly pulled it down. He fakes knocking over some of the pieces and quickly steps aside. Clearly he's wrong. Kelly on the other side, also knows she is wrong. Haha! They're both wrong!
...in between the next go 'round, out of the side of his mouth, he whispers to Kelly "I'm giving it to you". You idiot! They reset and get to look at the same 6 items to try again. I really wish they had to send in 2 new people. He loudly says which items go where
So obviously, Mike is wrong again. Kelly is wrong again! Is she trying to throw it to him, too? Seriously? So,now they drop it to 5 items. He tells her he's going to say them and switch the items.
Kelly gets it right this time...shocker! If no one could see what was happening there, they would be idiots! I do not like what is happening here. Joe better not go!
Escameca Camp
Mike thinks the "Power Couple" of Rodney and Joaquin might need to be split up.
Rodney thinks everyone is on board with voting out Joe first. Joaquin says this is going to be a walk in the park. I don't think I've ever heard 2 people say "bro" to each other more in one conversation that these 2, bro.
Dan asks what Joe thinks. Joe said whenever he tries to talk to Joaq, he has a puppy following him. Mike said that Rodney said Joe should go. He said he tried to talk to them but they won't talk to him. Dan thinks as long as Sierra knows she won't go, she will be up for anything. They are hoping that Sierra, as the swing vote, they could get Joaquin out. Dan knows he really screwed things up with Sierra. He's hoping he can give his apology another try and bring her back in. She looks so skeptical. She knows they need her, so she knows they will say anything to get her vote. Dan equates voting out Lindsey because she and Sierra were a tight couple.
I hate this right now. I like Joaquin, but I love Joe. I wish they weren't on opposite sides right now. I have no idea what Sierra is going to do.
Tribal Council
Sierra says she felt more welcomed by the new tribe members in 24 hours than she felt the entire time with her old tribe. Mike made the point that he did stand up for her, and she agreed.
Rodney talks about having "3 people".
Joe admits he's on the bottom, because at least Joaquin has Tyler.
I'm hoping for a good blindside here...send Rodney home!
The Votes
Aah...I can't handle this! Don't go Joe!
Joe
Joaquin
Joe
Joaquin
Joe
Joaquin
Joaquin
Ooh...the look on Rodney's face was almost as good as Shirin's last week! LOL! I just wish it would have been Rodney instead! I had hopes for Joaquin, and Rodney is an idiot. I don't know why they didn't get rid of him. He's the instigator! Joaquin could have been dealt with any time. He wasn't nearly the gameplayer that Rodney is. I don't really understand that at all. I don't know if they were just trying to keep their old tribe numbers? I don't think they need him. He won't side with them now anyways because they voted out his bro.
You know what's going to happen now...Rodney is going to go all "bro" on everyone back at camp. He'll throw a hissyfit and vow to get his revenge. Meanwhile, he'll be an alliance of one trying to plot that revenge.
