Huyopa Camp - After Tribal
Keith thought Reed was going home...that's who he voted for. He said Reed is a gamer and he knows how to work the numbers. Reed is trying to figure out how to go further in the game, and he's thinking he might need to go after Jon because Jon thinks he's the alpha male right now.
Natalie is still totally confused by what happened.
Jon tells Natalie that he found an idol, and he wanted her to know that he trusted her.
Late that night, Natalie decided to get up and look for the still hidden idol that was at their camp. If she can find it, she would love to be able to use it to somehow get rid of Jon.
Uh-oh...I'm sensing a trend here.
Reward Challenge
Challenge: dive in the water, climb up to a platform and then jump off to get a key; the key unlocks puzzle pieces
Reward: they get to take baseball equipment to some little kids, and then get to share in some baseball food goodies
Teams:
Yellow: Reed, Alec, Jaclyn, Jon
Blue: Missy, Baylor, Natalie, Wes
Keith wasn't picked, so he doesn't get to play for the reward.
Wes and Jon are neck and neck all the way back to the platform. Missy gets a little bit of a head start on Jaclyn. Baylor goes in and Reed is not far behind. Alec vs Natalie. Alec is such a good swimmer, he was flying! Natalie did pretty good to keep up, though.
Yellow was working well together, while blue struggled to find the right key to unlock the pieces. Yellow was getting piece after piece, and blue still wasn't getting the right key. And just like that, yellow wins.
Reed decided to give up his spot for Missy because she had not won a reward yet. This could be a good move or a bad move. We all remember what happened to Jeremy last week after being "nice" and giving someone his reward. Reed's motives were not 100% just for Missy. He wants time with the "reward losers"...which did not include Jon and Jaclyn...to work on them in hopes of getting Jon out. Who knew that this guy who barely said 2 words the entire season before the merge, would now become one of the biggest gameplayers in the game.
Wes was chosen to go to Exile.
Huyopa Camp
Reed confronts Keith to find out exactly where he stands in the game. Reed tells him that the others think he and Wes have an idol between them, and they want to split the votes. Reed wants the 4 of them to be able to vote for Jon and get him out, if the other 4 are planning to split the votes.
Natalie still hadn't found the idol, so her and Baylor go to look again. Finally...after a lot of digging, Natalie found it. Unfortunately, Baylor knows about it too.
Natalie tells Baylor that they need to get Reed out because he is good at immunity challenges (OK, so he's won 1, but I don't see him being that great at everything). She thinks they need to get him out before they target Jon.
Immunity Challenge
Challenge: balance on a very narrow perch on a pole, while holding onto a bar above/behind their head
Immediately, Jon does a strange stretch, and he said he wasn't feeling it, he was just showing off. Come on, dude!
The first food temptation (candy) is presented to them, and Jon, like an idiot decides to take it. What an idiot. This is just another sign that he is going to be the next to go...hidden immunity idol and all.
After 30 minutes, Baylor was really hurting. But it was Missy who stepped off next. She said "it feels so good down here". Baylor was so mad at her and told her to be quiet.
Next temptation was barely uncovered and Baylor and Jaclyn leaped off their perch to take the cookies and milk. Seriously, girls?
Next temptation also barely uncovered, and Wes sprints to the table for some chicken wings. This is so sad...what wimps.
Keith tells Natalie that her whole team is sitting on the bench. He said she was the only one fighting for this.
After 1 hour and 20 minutes, Keith's feet are turning purple. He was moving around a lot, and he just couldn't do it any more. He had to step down.
Final 3: Natalie, Alec, Reed
Alec fell off, leaving Natalie and Reed. They both looked like they could be there awhile. Natalie asks if there was any more food to come out. She said the only way she was going to come down was for some food. She tells Jeff that she would like some pizza or wings and some ice water. Jeff said, "OK". He brings out just that. She said if she was going to fall after 3 hours, she might as well get to eat some food, so she fell off, and Reed wins.
Neither Natalie or Reed could move. She wanted the food, but she couldn't get up off the ground. Reed was stuck in one position...and then decided to do a split. He got the immunity necklace...while he was doing a split. Wow. OK, so maybe Natalie was onto something with Reed and immunity challenges.
Huyopa Camp
Reed said it was very telling that Jon stepped down after only 7 minutes. It shows when people really feel like they are safe.
Reed's plan is to have everyone think that 4 people are voting for Keith and 3 for Wes. But really, he, Keith, Wes and Alec are going to vote for Jon.
Missy tells Jon that she isn't sure if Reed and Alec are really going to vote with them. Jon said there's no way they would vote with Keith and Wes.
Jon said he is saving his idol for later. He said it would be selfish to use it right now. Oh boy...bye bye Jonny boy.
Tribal Council
Jeff brings it up that not one single idol has been played this season yet.
Reed said that Wes stepping down made him believe that Keith and Wes did have an idol. Keith said everyone should just stick to the plan and not worry about idols.
Jon says everything is so confusing. Jaclyn said "just keep it the same and we'll go with you guys" and then "no?" as she looks at Jon. What the heck is going on?! There are little conversations starting to happen all over the place between Reed, Jaclyn, Jon.
I guess someone is going to be surprised tonight. lol
They go to vote, and Jon whispers "are we still doing this?". I've never seen someone so completely confused...every single week. Remember the first Tribal Council he went to and he didn't know whose name he was supposed to be writing down?
Before the votes are read, Natalie turned around to Jon and said "dude, play your idol" he said "really, are you sure?". And he played it! The boy does have some brains! He said he didn't want to go home with it in his pocket. Let's just hope it wasn't a waste! ...and wait! Keith stands up, and HE decides to play his idol! Talk about a smart move! He knows that the plan was to split votes between him and Wes, so with none of Jon's votes counting, it's going to be either him or Wes with the next most votes.
The Votes
Jon - doesn't count
Jon - doesn't count
Jon - doesn't count
Keith - doesn't count
Keith - doesn't count
Jon - doesn't count
Keith - doesn't count
Wes
Wes
OMG!!! That was insane! Poor Wes! He wasn't the brightest guy out there, but he was funny. Too bad it had to go down like that. He said he regretted stepping down for those wings, but honestly, I don't think he would have won any way.
Baylor said, "so Alec voted for Jon" and Natalie said, "and so did Reed". This is going to make for an interesting return to camp. People are outed for flipping sides, idols have been used which means that both Jon and Keith are now very vulnerable.
