Before we get to tonight's episode, there were some interesting developments in the #FigTails romance post-show. In case you don't follow any news about Survivor, I'll fill you in. Last week, Figgy was asked about her relationship with Taylor in her exit interviews. She didn't go into too much detail, but she basically said they dated briefly after filming (which was in March/April), but after finding some things out (about him), they are no longer together. There appeared to be some animosity towards him by the way she answered the questions. Well, today, word got out that Taylor had tweeted that he is going to be a father in November. Guess what, it's not with Figgy, obviously! So, it appears that the child was conceived before he left for filming - whether he knew it at the time is the question. Can't say their break-up was at all surprising, but I didn't expect it to be because of something like this.
OK, now, onto the show!
Takali Camp
Adam tells Taylor he would love to talk to him if he was willing to listen. Taylor was super bummed to say the least. Adam told him it was lose-lose for him and maybe he did mess up. He agrees that he 100% screwed Taylor and also ended their "island romance". Adam just rubs salt in the wounds by telling Taylor that he is in a much worse situation than he was before and it's all his fault. No, ya think?! Taylor's reaction is the title of this episode: "I will destroy you!" lol
Vanua Camp
David wants to show Zeke his trust, so he shows him his idol. And with that, a new #supercouple is born. Zeke said he will take very good care of David...for the time being.
Reward Challenge
The tribes walk in, and Michaela smiles from ear to ear when she sees Figgy was voted out. She told Jeff "bye Felicia" - it had been Figgy's time to go for some time.
Reward: a chef will come to camp and cook for them chicken, shrimp, and cheesecake; 2nd place gets kabobs
Challenge: release 3 balls at the top of a pole, then shoot them into a tunnel and then move them through to a perch
Ikabula sits out Bret and Sunday
Jay perches on Michaela and Jay's shoulders and gets good momentum to get the bag of balls down. Zeke takes a tumble as he tries. They then send David up...much smarter...he's a lot lighter, but he struggles also.
Ikabula is first, followed by Takali, and then Vanua.
Ken scores the first one for Takali, and Jessica and Adam work the ball through the net.
Chris scores for Vanua, and Zeke and Michelle move the ball through.
Jay scores for Ikabula, and Michaela and Hannah work the ball through.
Chris gets #2 and Jay gets #2. Chris gets #3, and so does Ken.
Vanua is the first to shoot for the final placement and he gets it. Chris gets the 2nd one, while Ken gets his first. Chris keeps missing, but he finally lands it. Vanua wins 1st place.
Will and Hannah are struggling getting their balls through.
Michaela is shooting against Ken. Michaela ties Ken 1-1. Ken gets #2, Michaela gets #2 and #3. Wow. Ikabula gets 2nd place. They made a nice recovery, once again because of Michaela. Poor Ken :(
Jeff makes it known that she was instrumental again, in their win. This makes Michaela nervous because it puts a target on her back as "the one to beat". At this point, they still need her for challenges, but come the merge, she will be a huge threat to win immunity...every...single...time.
Vanua Camp
They come back to camp to find the chef there grilling up some delicious-looking grub.
Zeke was binging - big time. He figured the more he could eat now would benefit him later. It was the inner fat kid in him.
All of the guys were really being disgusting. Burps and farts all around. Poor Michelle.
Takali Camp
Ken tries to talk politics with Taylor and Jessica. Taylor was honest that he hates talking about politics and thinks most millennials don't care. He thinks his generation will change a lot of things.
Taylor tells Jessica, and shakes her hand, and says he will never write her name down and he will never write down Ken's name. Jessica thinks maybe at this time, Taylor is more trustworthy than Adam, who had Taylor and Figgy believing he was voting with them.
Ikabula Camp
The tribe seems pretty united and they are enjoying their kabobs.
Hannah thinks Bret is lying about being a funeral director. She wants to throw some shade his way. Yes, he is lying by the way...he's a police sergeant. She kept pressing him with questions about his job. She is 70% sure that he is a cop, and she told Michaela, Will, and Jay. Will told her not to bring it up with him, to let him reveal it on his own. She is so sure because she's from Boston. Jay thinks that if Bret lived in Florida, he would be running from him after starting a bonfire on the beach. He thinks he is too funny to be a funeral director. I'm wondering, how out of all the professions in the world, he decided on that one for his lie. Very interesting. He lied, and rightly so, I think, because he knows the track record for cops on the show. Tony was the exception, but that's because he ALSO lied about it!
Immunity Challenge
Challenge: race to throw coconuts into a net; when heavy enough, it will reveal numbers to get a key and then they will get a slingshot to knock down targets
Hannah and Will sit out for Ikabula.
The "granny shot" method appears to be the best method for throwing. Everyone who tried to shoot it like a basketball missed.
Takali is the first to drop. Adam is wrong with the order of numbers, but he gets it on the 2nd try.
Taylor is the first to use the slingshot. Michaela gets the key for Ikabula and she will begin using the slingshot. Vanua is still shooting, but Zeke just got the net to drop.
Ken tries the slingshot for Ikabula. Michelle is struggling to get the code right. They tell her to just keep trying numbers.
Michaela is missing with the slingshot. They ask her if she wants to switch - she said no, but eventually lets Jay try.
Taylor gets #3 for Takali (so apparently I missed the first 2?). Vanua gets #1. Ikabula gets #1.
Ken scores #4 for Takali, with one left. Ken scores! Takali wins immunity! Woohoo! This is the first loss for Ikabula.
Zeke connects #2 for Vanua. Bret hits #2 for Ikabula. Chris hits #3 and #4 for Vanua.
Michaela is struggling hitting targets, and Chris hits #5. Vanua gets immunity, and Ikabula loses for the first time. :( Chris really stepped it up for Vanua...it was pretty much all him in that challenge once the net was dropped.
Ikabula Camp - Pre-Tribal
Jay said the Millennials will have to come together to decide which Gen-Xer should go, Bret or Sunday. Seeing as how he thinks Bret has been lying to them, he thinks it should be him to go.
Back at camp, they pretty much just all sat in silence for a very long time. No one wanted to talk.
Sunday knows that it's either going to be her or Bret. They got off to talk. Bret says they either have to write the others' name down, or else come up with another plan. They promised each other never to write each other's name, but they might have to break that tonight.
Michaela gets shells (Millennials) and rocks (Gen-Xers) and uses them to represent their final 4. She shows them all that it doesn't matter who they vote out tonight if they play their numbers right. Hannah says that they could split the vote just in case there's an idol. Guys will vote for Sunday and the girls will vote for Bret. It will be a tie if there is no idol played. After that, they will all vote for Bret.
Jay realizes just how smart Michaela really is. She tells them that she genuinely trusts the 3 of them. Jay then has an epiphany and decides that maybe Michaela should go. He shares this with Will, and Will agrees that she is thinking way too hard, way too fast and she is a MAJOR threat. Will said she also knows that Jay has the idol. Will has known that Michaela needed to go, just needed to be the right time. Jay hates to do it because he has been in an alliance with her since the beginning. They decide not to say anything to Hannah because she will freak out. Yikes. I don't want her to go already! There's still a chance it's going to be Bret, but this would be huge if they decide to blindside Michaela.
Tribal Council
Jeff said that both other tribes have voted out someone from the group of majority. That very well could happen again. And with this vote, the Millennials would still have a 3-2 majority :/
Will talks about playing a "Tony Vlachos" type of game that is unpredictable and so hard - clearly thinking about Michaela.
Will, Jay, and Michaela all think the tribe will be stronger after the vote and trust will only grow. We'll see.

Michaela
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!! That was literally insane!!!!! OK, so now that my mouth is off the floor, here's what happened. Michaela's name is read, and you know Michaela, she doesn't hold anything back. She immediately gets the most shocked look on her face. By the 3rd vote, she turns around to Jay and says "Did you do that?" He looked her dead in the eye and said, "Yeah, I did that." On the other side of Michaela was Hannah, who was literally just as shocked as Michaela and HER mouth is wide open. She said, "I did NOT do that!" Meanwhile, Jeff paused, and STILL hasn't even read the last vote! He finally reads the last vote, Michaela gets her torch snuffed, but before she goes, she tells Jay that he's an asshole, and then she realizes she forgot her shoes, so she has to go back to her seat to get them. She walks out and swings her arms at the trees in disgust on the way out. She couldn't believe that Jay did that to her. Hannah has no idea what the heck just happened. She is beyond belief.
What really sucks is that the next episode is the merge. I feel bad for Michaela that she didn't make it that far or to jury. She thinks this was the dumbest mistake they could have made (obviously), because she thinks they could have made it really far and that one of them could have won. Irregardless, she thinks she will somehow be a millionaire. Well, SPOILER ALERT ---- she will get another chance next season, because she is one of the two players from this season who were selected to play in Season 34! Can't wait for more Michaela! I really didn't think that I would like her when the season first started, but she really grew on me. I loved her soundbites, her work ethic, and her major athleticism in challenges. She really had the complete package...the only problem was that EVERYONE saw that, and it made her a major target. Truthfully, they were smart to get her out while they still could because if she made it to the end, it would be hard not to give her the money.
