American Idol, Ep. 12.5

San Antonio Auditions:

Great singers to watch for in Hollywood:
*my favorites

Vincent Powell (aka "returning guy with ugly boots who was dying to meet Mariah Carey")

*Savannah Votion (aka "girl with the humungous voice")

Christabel Clack (aka "worship leader with a mohawk")

*Ann Difani (aka "girl with the 'pretty tone' who was nominated by her husband")

Victoria Costa (aka "the mariachi girl")

Papa Peachez (aka "self proclaimed black woman in a white man's body who changed Randy's tie-breaking vote")
-so bad he's good??

Sanni M'mairura (aka "the Tanzanian/Kenyan")

Adam Sanders (aka "the hyperventilating/nervous crier")

Bad singers to look up on YouTube if you want a good laugh:

Derek and David Bacerott (aka "the out-of-tune brothers who wouldn't take 'no' for an answer")

Stefan Jones (aka "Urkel with a mohawk")

Ongela Clark Falkquay (aka "girl who painfully shrieked 'Firework'")

Carolyn Jackson (aka "girl who looked like she was wearing a big curly wig")

Long Beach Auditions

Great singers to watch for in Hollywood:
*my favorites

*Shubha Vedula (aka "the girl with the surprisingly big voice who the judges could not pronounce or repeat her name correctly")

*Matt Farmer (aka "army vet who suffered a traumatic brain injury who has the cutest little girl")
Update: As soon as this episode aired, soldiers who served with Matt took to the internet to make sure people knew what he was saying wasn't true. Matt eventually came out and confessed that everything he said was a lie. He did serve in the military, but was never injured in any way. He said that he has always had a problem with lying and doesn't know why he did it. He said he is no longer on the show, but didn't say how he was eliminated. Most people are assuming he was just eliminated during the Hollywood round do to his singing, not because of his lie.

Jesaiah Baer (aka "girl who got interrupted by the fire alarm")

Micah Johnson (aka "guy who has a speech impediment due to a botched tonsilectomy but sings perfectly fine")

Rachel (aka "girl with the self-proclaimed biggest accent")

Briana Oakley (aka "girl who was on Maury as one of the 'most talented kids' who then was bullied and had to change schools")

Matheus Fernandes (aka "the short guy with a lot of heart and a lot of talent")

Bad singers to look up on YouTube if you want a good laugh:

Brian Martinez (aka "guy singing in the bathroom who was told he should audition")

Stephanie Sanson (aka "quiet girl who surprisingly screamed Adele and stormed around the room, flipped the bird and walked right out the door")
--Quite possibly the most shocking audition ever...didn't see that coming. She looked so sweet and innocent, and had such a quiet speaking voice. I don't know what in the world possessed her to be so incredibly disrespectful and make a mockery of the entire show.
--Note: this one's not even funny...it's just bad and shocking.

The Bachelor, Ep. 17.4

One-on-One Date: Selma

Selma promises that Sean is finally going to get to see the real her. Sean takes her in a private plane...to the desert. When they arrive at the airport, she says "Is every date going to be like this from now on?" Really, Selma? Yeah, he's a billionaire and you'll have a red carpet laid out for you everywhere you go. Yep, that's real life. When they step out into the middle of nowhere, her excitement quickly faded. "He took the Iraqi to the desert. I don't do well in heat...at all." This should be an amazing date, can't wait.

Then Sean says that they are going to be rock climbing. Lots of complaining follows, as she says "I feel puffy." Nice. Oh, and she hates heights...even better! You'd think that they choose these dates on purpose for people who say they don't like something. I gotta give it to her though, for someone who normally wears 6" heels, once he started encouraging her, she shot up that mountain like there was a wild animal chasing her. I think it's safe to say she impressed the heck out of him.

After the climb, of course they had dinner. But, not the usual Bachelor dinner. No fancy restaurant, it was an RV park. Yes, you read that right. Who even thinks of that? Very odd choice. But I guess he just really wanted to see if she could handle not being a girly-girl.

Everything's going great, and then the bomb dropped. Sean wanted to kiss her very badly, but there's just one little problem. She opened up about her conservative, strict up-bringing in Baghdad, Iraq. She grew up Muslim, where people don't date in public. And her Mom would totally freak out if she kissed Sean on TV. She said her Mom is not happy at all about her being on the show. She seems to be quite contradictory. She talks about her culture and everything, but yet she dresses so provacatively. So, does she really believe in how she was brought up? Seems a bit like a tease to me.

Either way, Sean wants more, so he gives her a rose.

Group Date: Lindsay, Robyn, Jackie, Catherine, Amanda, AshLee, Tierra, Sarah

The Bachelor, Ep. 17.3

One-on-One: Lesley M.

Sean pulls out the pranks again. He fools Lesley into thinking their date is just the "Guinness World Records" museum. He then shows her that his dad holds the world record for driving through the 48 contiguous states in 97 hours and 7 minutes. The other real reason for this destination is that Sean wanted to break their own record: longest on-screen kiss. The record to beat is 3:15. 3:15 kiss with Sean=dream come true...3:15 kiss with Sean in front of a huge crowd=longest, most awkward time ever. The record was broken and they had fun doing it.

Was there any doubt that she was going to get a rose? Um...no. And was there any chance that she wouldn't say "yes"? Um...no.

Group Date: Kacie, Robyn, Leslie H., Kristy, Catherine, Desiree, Taryn, Amanda, Lindsay, Daniella, Jackie, Tierra

The date started out at the beach. The girls urge him to take his shirt off, and do you think he would say "no"? And who am I to argue with him?

Chris comes out and announces to the girls that they will be split into 2 teams and will battle each other in a game of beach volleyball. Winning team gets to spend the rest of the day with Sean.

Winners: Lindsay, Jackie, Robyn, Desiree, Amanda, Kacie
Losers: Taryn, Leslie, Kristy, Daniella, Catherine, Tierra

The most eventful part of the evening came when the girls listened in to Amanda's one-on-one time with Sean, and they all start to freak out. They hope he sees how different she is with them and how she is with him. Kacie decides that Sean needs to know what's going on, so she opens up to Sean about Amanda...and Desiree! Desiree, what? She totally threw her under the bus by saying that Desiree thinks there is something negative about Amanda that they should stay away from. For some reason she thinks she can't be herself because of this and that if she didn't say something that it was going to come between her and Sean. He questions why she is the one saying something. She justifies it by saying that Desiree is her friend and that she is stuck between a rock and a hard place.I'm still not sure that's a reason to get in the middle of it. He basically told her that he wanted her to be herself and "not like this crazy person I'm seeing". She says that she doesn't like drama, but yet she started off the conversation by saying "I feel like I've been punched in the face". After the conversation is done, she realized that she really blew it. Too late to take it back now. I think you just sank your own ship, missy.

The rose goes to: Lindsay. The 2 of them shared a good one-on-one, which of course involved some smoochin'.

One-on-One: AshLee

The drama starts right before Sean comes to pick up AshLee. Somehow, Tierra falls down the stairs and hits her head. She wasn't really responding and they thought she might have a concussion. She just kept saying that she didn't want to go and she wanted to be left alone. She was such a crybaby! Just go already! She was strapped down and ready to be carted off on the stretcher, but even against their advice, she refused and got up and walked away. Sean went and sat and talked with her....while he was supposed to be going on his date with AshLee. It worked exactly how she wanted, as Sean says "I wish you hadn't fallen, but I'm glad we got this little time together". She obviously seemed fine, so he should NOT have just been sitting there chilling with her!

AshLee does finally get to go on her date, and they go to Six Flags, because he's a kid at heart. They have the whole thing to themselves, until Sean says they are going to be bringing 2 other girls with them. These 2 girls are chronically ill. Sean wants to see what AshLee thinks about doing charity work and sharing her date with someone else. The other surprise about the day is that the 2 girls are best friends who have only talked online and they will be meeting each other for the first time.

The last event of the day was a private concert from the Eli Young Band.

It was pretty obvious that AshLee passed this date with flying colors, so she received a rose. She opened up to Sean about wanting a family and he said the same thing. She also shared that she was adopted at 6 and had been abused. She had him in tears!

Cocktail Party:

Sean pulls Sarah away for some one-on-one time since she didn't have a date. He took her out front and a limo pulled up and she freaked out! She started bawling, "you can't do this!" But then her dog jumped out of the limo and she felt like an idiot.

Tierra got some more alone time...blah! And the she boo-hoos because every time she gets alone time, she gets interrupted. She goes and pouts and says she wants to "punch some walls". She then goes and steals him back after like 1 minute. Ugh...go away already you crazy stalker!

Sean started getting stolen left and right and pulled in every direction. There was some major freaking out going on.

Kacie gets some time and she wanted to apologize for how she acted the other night. But before they could really talk about it, a bunch of other girls came in and interrupted.

Rose Ceremony:

Sean is about ready to start handing out roses, but he first asks to talk to Kacie. So now of course the rest of the girls start freaking out. He tells her that he respects her too much to make her stand through another rose ceremony. He said he thinks that they are better off as friends, and sends her off in the limo.

Already have roses: Lesley, Lindsay, AshLee
Receive roses: Tierra, Leslie H., Catherine, Daniella, Robyn, Selma, Sarah, Jackie, Amanda, Desiree
Going home: Kacie, Kristy, Taryn

American Idol Ep. 12.1

And it's back! I will be here every step of the way. For those who don't like to watch the audition rounds and Hollywood week, I will have recaps of who to watch for and who to check out for a laugh.

It's no secret that I'm not looking forward to Randy being back...again. I am also not looking forward to Nicki Minaj or Mariah Carey. Keith Urban is the only one I want to see, but I don't think he will be able to get a word in edge-wise.

A word of warning for those who have never had exposure to Nicki Minaj: you WILL want yo rip uour ears off. Her nasally, high-pitched, squeaky voice will grate on your very last nerve. When she breaks out into a fake British accent, you will just ask yourself "why?". "Why is Fox subjecting us to this nonsense." My suggestion for the entire season: record it so you can fast forward. Your ears will thank you.

The show was 2 hours, but I watched everything I needed to know in a little more than 1 hour.

From New York...

Great singers to watch for in Hollywood:
* = my favorites

Tenna Torres ("camp Mariah Carey")

Christina "Isabelle" (aka "girl who lost a lot of weight and has a big voice")

Shira Gavrielov (aka "girl from Israel")

Frankie Ford (aka "nervous guy who had to start over")

*Sarah Restuccio (aka "this season's Skylar in every way" and "girl who can rap Nicki Minaj's song better than she does")

*Angela Miller (aka "girl with hearing loss")

Gurpreet Singh Sarin (aka "The Turbinator")

Ashlee Feliciano (aka "girl who's family fosters medically complex children")

Good, and should have gone through:

Evan Ruggiero (aka "one-legged guitar hero/tap dancer")

Bad singers to look up on YouTube if you want a laugh:

Michael Buonopane

James Bae (aka "Asian Justin Bieber")

Benjamin Gaisey (aka "creepy guy in a wig singing 'I'll Make Love to You' to Mariah and Nicki")

Albert Chang (aka "foreign Phantom of the Opera")

The Bachelor, Ep. 17.2

One-on-One Date: Sarah
Helicopter ride to the top of a skyscraper, and then a free-fall down the building. Gee, that's original. I think this has been a date on like every single season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Also original "As long as he's beside me, I can do it" and "let's take this plunge together." Come on guys...you can do better than this!

I think they seem to have a pretty good chemistry together. They seem really comfortable. She really opened up to him, which is pretty good for a first date. It went well, and she received a rose. Not only that, but first one-on-one date, but first serious kiss.

Group Date: Kristie, Amanda, Brooke, Lesley M., Daniella, Catherine, Robyn, Katie, Selma, Diana, Taryn, Kacie, Tierra
13 girls, so you know it's going to be a LOT of DRAMA! The date is a photo shoot for the cover of a romance novel. Massive amounts of jealousy, in 3...2...1...

It doesn't take Tierra long to start annoying just about everyone, but it's Lesley M. to get the first "kiss" during the photo shoot. Tierra's eyeballs looked like in the cartoons when they come popping out...aooooga aooooga!

Lesley M. seemed to really make an impression on Sean. She wanted him to make a move, he wanted to make a move. But, she blew it! She got nervous and just started talking about really random things. "Apparently my body language sucked." Yeah, leaning away from him might do that. But, at the end, he did say that it made him like her even more. So, it's not a complete loss. Oh wait...she's going back in! And, NOW she got the kiss. Not near as romantic as it would have been in the moment, but oh well.

Sean's pretty skeptical about Kacie. They knew each other before her coming here and he thought she saw him as only a friend. It does seem like he's willing to give it a shot though.

We get our first look at Catherine tonight. She says she's a vegan, but loves the beef. Get it? Yeah....lame. She seems to be kind of fake. I don't quite know what to make of her just yet.

Selma seems pretty ditzy on this date, what's her deal?

Tierra is this season's classic "two-face". With the girls, she's catty, jealous and cut throat. With Sean, she's bubbly, cute and sweet. She is totally a crazy "Courtney". And she even looks like her too! I can hear Ben (and Arie, who recently dated Courtney), yelling at the TV right now: "Watch out Sean!!!"

Katie. All I can say about her is: what is up with the hair? You are not a cave woman! I can sympathize with her because my hair looks exactly like that when I don't do anything with it. That's why my straightener is my best friend. Get that girl a comb! Clearly her "head" is not in the game and her hair is also suffering. She is not adjusting well and tells Sean that she's ready to go home. With hair like that, he really didn't even try to stop her. And just like the tornado that destroyed her hair, she flew right out of their in the next limo.

And the date rose goes to: Kacie. That was kind of a shocker...didn't really expect that.

One-on-One: Desiree
Classic prankster Sean, decides to have some fun with Desiree to see how she reacts. They are visiting a gallery with some very expensive displays. Something is going to break and she (and some actors) will think that she did it. The funny thing is that Sean is going to be watching the whole thing. Sean was thinking how sweet she was and then he started second guessing himself about what he was about to do to her. But she handled herself so well! Calm, cool and collected. I would have probably freaked out. I like her, she seems pretty cool. It was obvious after their pretty deep conversation about love and marriage that they were clicking. So it was no surprise when he offered her the rose. She decided to have a little payback for the practical joke, and she really kept him hanging before accepting it.

Cocktail Party
Lindsay aka "wedding dress girl" didn't have a date this week, but she seemed to redeem herself in her one-on-one time.

Amanda, holy crap! She is a MESS!!! She is wearing the ugliest yellow dress she could find off of the reject rack, and like Katie, did NOT do her hair. And that necklace, ugh! She looks like a complete sour puss! She sat there on the couch by herself and stared off into the abyss and just ignored everyone. But, just like Tierra, she is completely different as soon as she's talking to him.

Robyn throws out the race card and asks Sean point blank what he thought about dating black girls. Brave girl. Sean had the perfect answers, of course.

Rose Ceremony

Already have a rose: Sarah, Kacie, Desiree
Receive a rose: AshLee, Lindsay, Robyn, Jackie, Lesley M., Selma, Catherine, Kristie, Leslie H., Tierra, Taryn, Daniella, Amanda
Going home: Brooke, Diana (and Katie, who left on the group date)

Survivor Season 26 Cast

Today was a great day. This morning I was surprised by the announcement of the Season 26 cast of Survivor! I am so incredibly excited! There are 33 days until the premiere (Feb. 13), for anyone else who's counting.

Season 26 is the 2nd installment of Fans vs. Favorites. The 1st was 10 seasons ago (Season 16: Micronesia), in 2008.The premise is simple, as stated in the title: favorite players (sometimes debatable as to how "favorite" they actually are) return to play versus first time players who boast to be great fans of the show. There will be 10 players on each tribe.

I will be writing another post with some of my thoughts, so stay tuned for that.

Let's meet the cast, shall we?
Update: 1/13/13: Click on the Survivor's name to watch their intro video.

The Bachelor, Ep. 17.1

Season 17: Sean!

I'm so excited for this season. But, I'm so worried that Sean won't be the sweet, adorable, amazing guy that he was on Emily's season. It's happened to Jason, to Jake and to Ben. We'll see what happens!

First of all, I would like to thank ABC for the abundance of shirtless Sean shots (say that 3x fast!) in the first few minutes. I will expect more of that this season...thanks in advance!

Of course in the opening we have to see an old "friend" come and give advice. I really could not care less what Arie has to say. The best thing to come out of his visit was Sean trying to come up with the best way to say "will you accept this rose?" and even better...how to let the girls down. Sean said he can't use the "it's not you, it's me"...because "it IS going to be them!! Haha! I also loved his break-up speech to Arie...that was great! I could have done without Arie's kissing lesson. I can't speak from experience (obviously), but I think Sean does alright for himself. But thank goodness Sean says he doesn't think he could use any of his advice. Wise words from Sean so far.

It's time to meet some of the girls. I've read the spoilers and know the final 4 girls and also who Sean chooses, so it's kind of hard to want to learn anything about the other girls. Here are my first impressions:

Desiree--wedding dress girl
Tierra--super excited that Sean is the Bachelor...so her dog can have a daddy...ok...
Robyn--Spanish sticky notes everywhere! She's weird!
Diana--2 cute little girls.
Sarah--Born with one arm.
Ashley--She has no idea why she's single...it's just her and her cat + Christian Grey. And, she wants Sean to rip her clothes off and spank her. Yep, she's out.
Lesley--From D.C. and is campaigning for Sean's heart.
Kristy--She is a model who always wants the spotlight...girls will be jealous. And...she's out.
AshLee--She's an obsessive organizer...she talks like she's really depressed.

Limo time!
First one out is AshLee. We don'y really learn anything different than what we saw in the video.
Jackie--She gives him a big 'ol red lipstick kiss on the cheek.
Selma--She whips out a napkin from her...um...dress to wipe the lipstick off.
Leslie H--Her mouth is huge (sorry!)! She says "holy Toledo" and calls him Mr. McSteamy.
Daniella--She forces him to do a ridiculous handshake...she seems a little bossy.
Kelly--She wrote him a song...usually a train wreck but hers was actually really catchy and ahe doesn't have a bad voice.
Katie--She teaches him a yoga move...just the arms.
Ashley P--She pulls a tie out of her...um...dress. And even though she said "Fifty Shades of Grey" he was clueless.
Taryn--She forgot to tell her name and also hasn't watched The Bachelor.
Catherine--We learn absolutely nothing about her and she seems kind of annoying. The way she talks is kind of abrassive.
Robyn--In her long dress, tries to do 2 back walk-overs...she does 1 and totally screws up the 2nd one and falls over. Then, I'm pretty sure that through her embarassing walk of shame she failed to tell him her name. Yes, we have a real winner here.
Lacey--She brought a heart of lace for him so he doesn't forget her "Lacey" is her nickname.
Paige--on Bachelor Pad 3 as one of the fans.
Tierra--Again...she's so glad it's him! She has a heart on her hand...it's open and she wants him to be the one to complete it. Sean walks away and comes back with the first first impression rose (yes, you read that right). Cue jealous girls...NOW!
Amanda--She wanted to get the awkwardness out of the way, so they just stared at each other...awkward!
KeriAnn--She drove 2775 miles to meet him.
Desiree--She brought pennies to make a wish in the fountain with him. He thought she was cute.
Sarah--She said this is exactly how she imagined falling in love.
Brooke--What a creeper! I did not get a good vibe from her at all! She's black, wearing a black dress. Her hair is a weird shade of red and she's wearing bright pink lipstick. That has disaster written all over it! Then she pulls him close and makes some sort of weird cat purr/growl in his ear. And...another one bites the dust. They are just making it way too easy on him.
Diana--She says he looks like Ken.
Lesley--She wants him to hike the football to him, obviously just wants to look at his butt...not a bad move!
Kristy--"The best from the midwest"...we'll see.
Ashley H--"Hi Ken, I'm Barbie"...really original. I think I've heard that one already. She's just strange. I hate the way she talks like someone on the receiving end of an 800 #.
Lauren--Her family owns an Italian restaurant, and she has a message from her dad: break her heart and he'll break his legs.
Lindsay--"Girl in the wedding dress"...she kissed him on the lips before even giving her name. Luckily, being a jokester himself, he enjoyed it and thought it was funny.
Last girl is none other than Kacie B from Ben's season. I've always liked her and I think they would be really good together.

One-on-one time:
Desiree gets first impression rose #2. AshLee got #3. Selma gets rose #4. Robyn gets one?? Really? Jackie gets one. Catherine, and a few others I don't know by just their faces yet, also got one. Annoying Ashley H, the black "southern belle" hasn't gotten one yet. Let's keep it that way!

"Wedding dress girl", Lindsay, is just a tad tipsy, shall we say. Awkward! She kind of wants a do-over on the whole dress thing and trying to kiss him.

But then there's Ashley P "Fifty Shades of Grey" has her beat. She is trashed! Look out Sean: train wreck coming your way, full steam ahead! Someone said "I'm so scared for him...someone needs to go save him." I think he gets it...he said "I brought my rape whistle just in case I need it." Haha! Oh Sean...that's why I love you! Other good Sean quotes: "She is a lot to take in!" "Fifty Shades of Grey" may have become "Fifty Shades of Drunk" tonight. And then he walks her back in the house and...she falls down. Classy lady!
Leslie "big mouth" gets a rose (ugh! why?!). Sarah gets a rose, which boosts her self-esteem. She deserved it...good for her!

Rose Ceremony:
Already have roses: 12-Tierra, AshLee, Catherine, Desiree, Robyn, Selma, Brooke, Katie, Jackie, Leslie H., Sarah, Diana
Receive roses: 7-Amanda, Lesley M., Kacie, Kristy, Daniella, Taryn, Lindsay
Going home: Ashley H., Paige, Lacey, Lauren, KeriAnn, Kelly, Ashley P.

Final words from Ashley P. She just wanted to make sure, that if she hadn't done enough to make herself look like an idiot, that after this, there would be no doubt. She proceeded to say how Sean could have f***ed her and that the next guy she sees can have her tie. And the rest was her just shaking her butt and boobs all around. Sean really dodged a bullet with that one. Whew!

Overall, there were some decent girls for Sean to choose from, I think. But...like all other Bachelor's before him, he did make some odd choices. Robyn? Leslie? Brooke? Other than "Fifty Shades of Grey", those were the absolute worst 3 of the bunch!

Looking foward to another great season! The most shocking and/dramatic ever, I'm sure :)

X Factor, Ep. 3.22 & 3.23

Time for the finale-3 acts left...who's it going to be? There's only 1 winner for me and that's Carly.

Carly (Teens-Britney)
Song 1-She sings a repeat of her audition song "Feeling Good". Just as good as the first time. Flawless.

Song 2-"How Do I Live" with Leann Rimes. What happened to Leann? She sounded pretty horrible and didn't even sound recognizable on her own song. I'm wondering why Carly decided on a country song. Maybe to steal some of Tate's votes? Smart move...hope it works.

Song 3-"Hallelujah". I love this song. She looks beautiful and the whole performance was just stunning. When she got to the part where she starting hitting the high notes, it was just incredible!

Tate (Over 25s-L.A.)
Song 1-Ugh, I hate country music that's so "country". Classic Tate performamce. Good vocal; a little more exciting than his normal slow stuff, but it definitely didn't get me jumping up and down for it.

Song 2-"Pontoon" duet with Little Big Town. Now that was much more enjoyable than what he normally does! And he looked like he was having fun. Normally he's so serious. This is a much better side of him.

Song 3-Good performamce, but I thought he sounded pitchy on some of the high notes.

Fifth Harmony (Groups-Simon)
Song 1-They perform a repeat of their "Anything Can Happen" performance from last week. Ok, so the other 2 did audition songs and they do last week's? I think people only liked this performance the last time becsuse of the set and the fact that they wrren't just standing there like they usually do. It sounded fine, but I wasn't blown away. L.A. is ridiculous that he thinks that they are the ones to beat. Ha!

Song 2-They sing Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break" with Demi herself. Really good performance.

Song 3-"Let it Be". Surprising song choice for them. L.A. will point out that they sang too much of it as individuals and not in harmony. It started out very slow until they started moving down the steps. They really jazzed it up! It was done very well, but I don't think they are worth $5 million.

The Results:
3rd place: Fifth Harmony (no surprise there)
2nd place: Carly :(
Winner: Tate

Congratulations country fans. Enjoy your bland, generic, sounds-like-everyone-else country singer. Let's see if anyone knows his name in a year. My guess is, no one will. Worth $5 million? Me thinks not.

The Voice, Ep. 3.28 & 3.29: The Finale

The show opens with a chilling and heartfelt tribute to the victims of the terrible shootings in CT. All the coaches and singers came together as a choir, holding names of the victims. It was beautiful and touching.

From 64 to the final 3. It's been a long and wonderful journey. Each contestant will sing a new song, a repeat of their best performance and a duet with their coach.

Nicholas

Song 1- "Great Balls of Fire"/"Fire"
He really was on fire with this performance...he was definitely feeling it. This could be his best performance. And those were some seriously crazy high leg kicks at the end!

Song 2-"Stand By Me"
Classic Nicholas.

Song 3-"Play That Funky Music" with CeeLo
Could there be a better song for these 2? Wow...so funny! Who knew the song would suit CeeLo just as much as Nicholas? Great performance...I really enjoyed it! And then mini CeeLo, with some crazy dance moves! Lol! Complete with a "You complete me" at the end.

Cassadee

Song 1-"Over You"
Just as beautiful as the first time she sang it. She struggled a little bit on her low notes, but it didn't affect the powerfulness of the message.

Song 2-"Steve McQueen" with Blake
I don't think I have ever heard this song. Very interesting song choice, but they make a good team.

Song 3-"Cry"
Great song. She's gonna kill it...in a good way. Beautiful set, and look at the train on that dress! She started off a bit shaky on the low notes again, but when she can sing full out on those high notes, right in her sweet spot, there's nothing like it. She gives me goosebumps!

Terry

Song 1-"Dude Looks Like a Lady" with Blake
Awesome!! Such a good song for the 2 of them to do together! Blake was struggling a little with those high notes..his voice cracked! Plus, loved Adam's cameo.. Complete with no shirt and long red wig! Lol! Such a fun performance!

Song 2-"Broken Wings"
I love this song! He actually started out a little weak and he seemed to strain a little on the high notes, but he found himself by the chorus and it was a great performance. It wasn't totally his fault, his earpiece or something was malfunctioning.

Song 3-"I Want To Know What Love Is"
I'm so glad he picked this song...it was one of my favorite performances. So raw and emotional, and vocally so precise and right on. That ending gets me every time.

The Finale:
So many great performances! Way too many to talk about!

The Results:
In 3rd place: Nicholas
In 2nd place: Terry
And the winner is: Cassadee!!!!!!

I'm soooo happy! That is the exact outcome I was hoping for! So happy for Cassadee, she deserves it!

Survivor, Ep. 25.14: The Finale

The finale! Hoping for an awesome ending to a great season. Malcolm and Denise NEED to be in the final. They are the most deserving and would make for a very close vote, I think. How cool would that be for them to make it after their rough beginning, which saw their tribe lose every single challenge, leaving them as the last man and woman standing. And then to be split up and absorbed by the other 2 tribes.

Here we go! Skupin: "That's like having a tumor removed." Lol So funny! Yes, Abi was like a tumor. She brought nothing positive to the game. Good riddance!

Reward Challenge:
The reward? An advantage in the next immunity challenge. This is HUGE!!!! Skupin pulls ahead quickly in getting his puzzle bags. Lisa was behind for most of the challenge. Malcolm is always so steady...he doesn't let anything phase him. He's a lot like Ozzy in that way. Once everyone got all of their puzzle bags, Denise quickly pulled ahead, as Skupin was obviously very confused and flustered. His pieces even kept falling out! It came down to Denise and Malcolm. Denise led for quite awhile, but Malcolm put a bunch of pieces in, one right after another, and it was Denise now getting flustered, as Probst announced how close Malcolm was getting. And Malcolm pulled it off! This is awesome! It could have been devastating for anyone else to win this. He's just one step closer.

Scramble time back at camp. Malcolm knows he needs to go to the final 3 with Skupin and Lisa. Denise asks Malcolm for a commitment, but he's very hesitant. So she goes to Lisa and tells her she's willing to vote out Malcolm. Lisa and Skupin are now sitting pretty with a final 3 deal with both Malcolm and Denise. No matter what happens, they WILL be in the final 3 and the next to go WILL be either Malcolm or Denise. I'm freaking out right now! Malcolm has so much going for him right now and the stakes are life and death! He has to win or he's done. I hope that all this pressure doesn't cause him to make a fatal error. Even with an advantage, I'm still extremely worried.

Immunity Challenge
Balance a ball on 2 ever-growing set of sticks. Malcolm's advantage: he gets a 2nd chance. If his ball drops, he gets to keep going! These kinds of challenges really get my heart pounding!

2nd round and Malcolm's ball drops! Yikes! He would have been first one out! Oh dear heavens...this is not looking good! Malcolm's ball rolls back and forth as he recovers over and over. His hands start shaking like crazy and his pieces collapse. And he's out! Noooooooooooo!

And Denise is out next! Wow. Skupin and Lisa are rock solid. These 2 look like they could go for days. Finally, Lisa's ball drops, and Skupin wins.

Now it gets interesting. Who do Lisa and Skupin think they have a better shot against, Malcolm or Denise? They have a final 3 deal with both. Malcolm and Denise both state their cases and they consider the benefits and negatives of keeping each of them. Clearly, it's a tough decision, but I will be shocked if they take Malcolm.

The vote:
Malcolm makes a very good case at Tribal, and throws Denise under the bus by saying that she is the bigger threat. Lisa makes it pretty obvious that she is not keeping Malcolm. It looks like the end for him is near. And with a 3-1 vote, Malcolm is gone.

Ugh! I'm so disappointed! He got sooooo close! Let's just hope he wins America's Favorite Player, so he doesn't walk away completely empty-handed.

The Final Tribal Council:
Before the final pleas and questions from the jury, Denise is the obvious front-runner. I don't really see how either Lisa or Skupin can make a legitimate case for themselves that could sway the jury. With that said, crazier things have happened, and with her being such an obvious choice, I am sure there will be some surprises.

I was really hoping for some tough questions from this bitter jury. For the most part, everyone was pretty mild. They made it pretty easy on them. Until...Penner! Some tough words for all 3, and then...he threw Lisa under the bus by telling everyone who she was! Shocker!

The standings now seem a tad more evened out. I think all of them will get at least 1 vote.

The Final Vote:
The winner is....Denise! Of the votes that were read, Denise had 4, while Lisa and Skupin each received 1.

Reunion Revelations:
-If Malcolm goes to the finals with Denise, he still loses, according to the jury!! Wow!
-By not lying to Denise in the end, Malcolm says he was took a page out of Penner's book: "Ways to Get Voted Out of Survivor"
-Jeff wins the award of "Best Exit Speech Ever"
-Skupin is "Mr. Magoo"--in 25 seasons, no one has had so many injuries; Jeff then presents him with the shattered diving mask
-Malcolm knew before even beginning the final challenge that he was toast, because he has "the least steady hands on the planet"; he even told his mom that if that was a challenge, he knew he would lose
-Malcolm is single!
-It rained for 21 straight days!
-Abi admits that she has some growing to do and needs to, in her words "take a chill pill"...um...duh!
-RC is glad that Pete has such long arms to pat himself on the back, because she thinks what he did was the worst move ever; Pete thinks it was funny
-Player of the Season was the closest vote they ever had. It was between Malcolm and Lisa and ended up being within a couple hundred votes-.7% difference! And Lisa wins! Another crushing blow for Malcolm! I really, really thought Malcolm had that in the bag! Wow.
-Dawson has a very unhealthy obsession with Probst; out of nowhere, she flies out of her seat and throws herself at Probst and flat out grabs him and kisses him! Probst has the last laugh: "Luckily, she doesn't kiss nearly as good as my wife!
-Survivor Season 26 will be Fans vs Favorites again, in Caramoan; and the tease is that we will see the return of one of Survivor's greatest pairings...so who will it be??? I can't wait to find out!

X Factor, Ep. 2.20 & 2.21

Tate (Over 25s-L.A.)
His Choice: At least this wasn't the snooze-fest that we heard last week. I like his upbeat stuff much better thsn the slow songs. I know Tate has a ton of fans, but he was pitchy on this song! My ears were hearing notes all over the place...I don't care what anyone else make believes that they hear. And does it seem like all his songs are 15 minutes long. Geesh! Enough already! Thank you for agreeing Britney! At least someone has some good ears.

2nd Song: 2 words in...I'm bored. The song actually isn't that bad...probably one of his better ones. It doesn't matter what he sings...not going to make me a fan. Sorry. Oh and every time he sang "lose" it was way pitchy!

Carly Rose (Teens-Britney)
Her Choice: Very interesting song choice for her...Elton John? That would be the last thing I would think she would pick. I'm not loving this performance. Most of it is in a key too low. This is probably my least favorite performance of hers. The ending got better and she still sounded good, but it was not the right song. I hope this doesn't hurt her. Ok, Demi...this was predictable? Really? And THIS was her favorite? I'm really starting to believe that Demi has no idea what she's talking about.

2nd Song: She is going all out...tackling John Lennon's "Imagine" and playing the piano. She was making some strange faces and it was weird how she was stomping around the stage. That was so odd for her. She sang it amazing though, but I liked the parts with her at the piano the best.

Emblem3 (Groups-Simon)
Their Choice: This is either going to be really good or really bad. I love their version...so it went the "really good" route. It actually really lent itself to their raggae/rap style.

2nd Song: I love "Hey Jude", and I really like their version. I think each of their voices sounded so good on this. They sometimes have some pitch and harmony issues...but this performance was so clean. One of their best!!! Their stage presence was also at an all-time high. This was the bomb!

Fifth Harmony (Groups-Simon)
Their Choice: Oh boy...crazy set, crazy big bow on that girl's head! Awful, awful song choice. I don't like the original snd this song does not work for a group at all. This performance was just painful and it just wouldn't end! I can't believe the judges liked it. Yuck!

2nd Song: I absolutely fell in love with this group when they sang this at Simon's house during the audition stage, and they have never gotten back to that level. Singing this song again definitely took them a step in the right direction. It was 100x better than their first song. It was a little confusing having a couple parts in Spanish, but otherwise it was really good. They always sing this song with so much passion, and yes...harmony!

The Results:
My guess is that Fifth Harmony will be voted out. They've been near the bottom the entire season, so this makes the most sense.

And to prove me completely wrong, they pull a shocker and reveal that Fifth Harmony is safe! What?!? Oh dear...

Next safe is Tate...big surprise.

My next guess is that it has to be Emblem3 going home or there is some horrible mistake. I really didn't imagine them going home before Fifth Harmony and not after "Hey Jude" last night, which was amazing.

And the act going home is: Emblem3!

Boo! It should have been Tate. It should always be Tate. He must not win this.

Survivor, Ep. 25.13

12-12-12...please let these magic numbers grant us the disappearance of Abi!!!!!

What we know:
-Malcolm has a hidden idol, that he must use at this Tribal
-Said idol guarantees him a spot in the top 4...IF he plays it for himself (strange things have happened in the past, so nothing is a sure thing)
-Abi is faking that she has an idol and no one believes her...and she is going to try her luck a second time at Tribal

Reward Challenge:
I love the slip-n-slide challenges! Great wipe-outs!!! Skupin wins, and I'm pretty sure Malcolm threw the challenge. It was smart...you don't want to have to pick people to go and leave some behind. He chooses Malcolm and Lisa to join him for a helicopter ride and food. Abi pouts about not getting picked "I guess my vote doesn't mean anything." Yep! You're right about that Abi. Again, she is totally clueless!!! She forgot all about the Tribal when she found out she was unlikeable.

Poor Denise! Spending all day with Abi is pure torture! Abi's mouth never stops...how annoying. Denise cracks me up. She says "I want to hang myself and gouge out my eyes." Ha!!!

Back at the reward, they get to swim with a humungous whale shark! Wow!

Oh no Denise is in pain! Uh-oh, she better not have to leave! I sure hope that she can win or that Malcolm can win and give it to her. BUT...Malcolm thinks he can't beat her, so he may not give it to her, even though they have been in an alliance.

Immunity Challenge
Oh no Malcolm falls down and has to start over. He is in dead last! Denise and Skupin are doing really good. Come on Denise! But watch out...Malcolm is making a comeback! And he does it!!! Woohoo! So happy! These people just don't stand a chance against him!

Oh no! Malcolm has no intention of giving Denise an idol because he thinks she's safe! What?! Why would you risk it! He's going to feel bad when she gets voted out. It will be a travesty if Denise goes and Abi, of all people, stays.

Tribal Council
Whoa...right off the bat, Abi throws Denise under the bus and says Skupin and Lisa will not win the game. She won't even let Skupin speak! She keeps interupting by calling him an idiot and a moron. Wow. The words that come out of her mouth continue to amaze me.

The vote: Malcolm keeps his idol. And can I get a "Hallelujah"???? Abi is voted out!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!! I'm so excited!

The tribe is so happy, and on the way out, Skupin does a little happy dance!

It's a 12-12-12 miracle!!!

The Voice, Ep. 3.27

Trevin (Team CeeLo)
Trevin visited his hometown and went to his old middle school where he was told he wouldn't ever make it.

He sings "Wind Beneath My Wings"...another ancient power ballad. For once I would like to hear him sing something current and relevant, and not a song originally sung by a woman. Of course he blew it up, and it sounded great...even though it's a song I don't like. I thought some of his notes at the end were a little strained and a little flat. But his end note was amazing.

Nicholas (Team CeeLo)
Nicholas visits the house they just bought and went to the doctor to listen to his baby's heartbeat.

He sings "You Are So Beautiful To Me". A song that has long been on my most hated songs list. So boring! But it's his style, so what else should we expect. But oh, hey...someone got a haircut! Not nearly short enough to improve things a whole lot though. The lack of old fashioned glasses was a step in the right direction, I think. He looks like Barry Gibb now.

Cassadee (Team Blake)
Cassadee goes to visit her mom in Florida. Her boyfriend Rian (from All Time Low) made a surprise visit. She also visited the local radio station. She even got the key to the city!

She sings "Stupid Boy". It's a song I have never heard of...that does not happen very often. I had to Google it to find out that it's a Keith Urban song...country...no wonder I didn't know it. She looked beautiful (as always) and she nailed it beautifully (as always). Loved it!!!

Terry (Team Blake)
Terry goes home to New Orleans and surprises his son! He also visits the Hard Rock. Family from Scotland flies in to surprise him!

He sings "Let It Be". Such an absolute perfect song for him!!! He sounds amazing. Such a powerful song and he rocked it well. The ending of that song was just frickin' ridiculous!

Go Cassadee and Terry!!!!!

Amazing Race, Ep. 21.11 The Finale

The finale...who's going to win the $1 million??? I'm hoping for the Chippendales or Trey & Lexi. But, I have a really bad feeling that neither of them are going to win. I hope I'm wrong...

I love that JJ, TL and NN are working together...they NEED to get rid of the Beekman Boys. Speaking of...does anyone have any idea where this nickname came from??? I have no idea, and it's bugged me all season!

Uh oh, Beekmans know French AND they are starting to play a little dirty by running with their arms out to keep them from passing. Everyone thinks Josh was faking his ankle injury because he seems to be running fine now.

The girls encounter their Speed Bump and everyone else moves on without them. Meanwhile, everyone follows the Beekmans because they know French, but they seem to have no idea where they are going.

Haha Jaymes accidentally said they were going to find Leonardo DiCaprio's final resting spot, instead of Davinci.

Detour: Chow or Plow
TL and JB choose Chow and JJ chooses Plow, thinking that TL would choose the same as them. Personally, I think Plow was the better choice, the only problem is that only 2 teams can go at the same time. NN also choose Chow. Wait...now TL changed their mind and go to Plow instead. Uh-oh...plowing might not be as easy as I thought. JJ needs to hurry up and get started...they are falling behind!

NN and JB arrive at Chow about the same time and begin trash-talking back and forth as they cut up some yucky meat to feed to a bunch of hunting dogs. JB were secretly just trying to distract NN and it seemed to be working. JB finishes first and leaves NN behind.

Yay TL are done plowing, and are still in first. Hopefully, JJ will finish soon, and yes...their plowing is good and off they go!

Roadblock: Find Mushrooms
Lexi is off to the cave. Oh my, there were a ton to choose from and you had to pick the right kind. Yikes! Then you have to not get lost!

Jaymes heads in for team JJ. He comes back first, but isn't correct. Lexi emerges next and she's right!!! Way to go Lexi!! Woohoo! Jaymes is right on his 2nd attempt! And now it's off to tge pitstop! It's a sprint to the finish and it's JJ!! And they each won the new Ford Escape! Cool!

Somehow the twins make it to the cave at about the same time as JB. Go twinnies! Oh my...and just like that, the twins get it and leave the Beekmans in the dust! Woohoo! With a 10 minute lead, they better not screw this up! Oh no, they went the wrong way...but so did Beekmans! Aaah!

CRAP! Beekmans arrive first. You've got to be kidding me! They just won't go away! They better not win this thing or I'm going to be mad. So long twinnies...

12th and final leg...here we go!

JJ and TL are leaving only 11 minutes apart, while JB are 2 hours behind...but they all meet up at the airport. And even worse news? Beekmans are from New York...great!

JJ and TL can't find the clue...they keep walking right by it!  TL think they see it and now JB too. JJ are way away on the beach...no!!! Finally they see it...but is it too late?

Roadblock: Escape Houdini-Style
Oh boy, this looks hard! I sure hope Beekmans can't handle it. Poor Trey is deathly afraid of heights...and straight jackets...so why didn't Lexie do it? Yes! He's doing great! Luckily, he remembered watching Houdini and knew he had to get his arms over his head! "I'm still very scared!" He yells on the way down. Awesome job!

Beekman goes up and luckily Jaymes was right behind! Question: why doesn't James ever do a challenge. Who cares...Jaymes rocked it and they made up some time!!!!

Detour
They have to memorize 3 addresses and deliver 10 pizzas...yikes!

TL and JB are both doing well...hurry up JJ! Yes...JB made a mistake, and then another! Woohoo, there's still hope.

TL finish first! Darn it, even with 2 mistakes, they still finish before JJ. At least they did it with no errors!

Roadblock: Hello Goodbye
They have to match flags with how the greeters at each pitstop said hello and goobye. Oh boy.

All 3 teams are here, JJ still behind. Aah, I can't take this! Luckily none if them knew any for sure besides Spain and France. This challenge could take forever. At least it lets them know which ones are right and wrong.

Get a hold of yourself Lexi...she's having a major meltdown! That's not going to help anything right now.

Someone needs to stop Josh...this is not good! Yes, James is catching up! No, Josh is done and there they go. They're going to win this and Lexi is still crying. Ok, now James is done...it's going to come down to a foot race. Aaaah!

You've got to be freakin' kidding me! Beekmans???? I am NOT a happy camper right now. Not the ending I wanted AT ALL!

Chippendales came in 2nd and unfortunately Trey and Lexie came in 3rd :( So sad...

X Factor, Ep. 20 & 21

CeCe-Young Adults (Demi) Acoustic song: Wow, I think she actually sounds really good tonight! Probably better than she's ever sounded. Maybe because it's a slow song and she's not trying to oversing it. But Simon said it best "I don't think you're worth $5 million." Pepsi Challenge song: Oh no...and just like that, she went from normal to crazy, spastic leopard girl again. It was bad. Whatever she gained with her first performance, was completely taken away with this awful performance. Everything was bad: her hair, her clothes, the staging, the choreography, and most importantly her voice. She has vocal bi-polar syndrome. She has very high highs and some very low lows. Emblem3-Groups (Simon) Acoustic song: Great song choice, and it's nice to see them playing instruments. It wasn't great, and there were a few pitch problems, but I still enjoyed it. Pepsi Challenge song: Oh my gosh I love this song from Napoleon Dynamite! Awesome! What a good performance. Carly Rose-Teens (Britney) Acoustic song: I love her! I like the song choice and she nailed it! So powerful! It might even be better than Justin Bieber's original. She gives me goosebumps every single time. Pepsi Challenge song: This should be a good song for her. And there come the goosebumps again! Again...it was better than the original! How does she do it? Fifth Harmony-Groups (Simon) Acoustic song: I love this Adele song. Each one of them is so good individually. Each time one of them starts songing, I think that one is my favorite. Pepsi Challenge song: This was a really good performance as well. I really, really liked it. Diamond-Teens (Britney) Acoustic song: I hate this song! She sang it great, but it's an awful song. I don't know if this kind of song is going to bring her out of the bottom. Pepsi Challenge song: Very appropriate song chosen by America. Not only is "Diamond" in the title, but the song itself was perfect for her. She killed it. This should be her signature song. Tate-Over 25s (L.A.) Acoustic song: I can't believe he is the last one standing on L.A.'s team...it should have been Vino. This song was boring and way too slow. "Living on a Prayer" should not be performed as a slow country song. It just doesn't work. Finally, the judges tell the truth! It was boring and straying away from what he does best. Big surprise that this was L.A.'s choice...apparent sabotage again. Vino was his first victim, Tate will be his next. Pepsi Challenge song: Ugh, not this song. I've never liked this as a country song. It was done by an R&B group called Joose in the 90s and I love that version. But as a country song, I just don't like it. I think he sang it fine, but even this song was boring like the first one. I think he's losing steam in this competition. The Results:
CeCe is finally gone!!!!! Good riddance, woman! It's about time! I cannot believe she survived this long. I am so glad that she received the fewest votes so the judges couldn't save her again.

Fifth Harmony and Diamond were the next 2 in the bottom and sang for survival. The judges chose to save Fifth Harmony, so Diamond is eliminated for the 2nd time.

The Rankings:
1. Tate
2. Carly Rose
3. Emblem3
4. Fifth Harmony

Survivor, Ep. 25.12

Another week and another hour spent on the edge of my seat hoping that Malcolm doesn't go home.

Reward Challenge
It's time for the visit from loved ones. Here's who came to visit and play with them:
Michael-his son (Whoa, get a grip dude)
Carter-his mom (Aw!)
Denise-her husband (He's so much taller than her!)
Lisa-her brother (Wow he's cute! And wow, she was emotional! He's 20 years younger than her!)
Abi-her mom (She speaks no English, so she clearly won't have a talking issue like her daughter)
Malcolm-his brother (Let's just say Malcolm got all the looks and personality in that family)

Malcolm and Miles win! He now has to pick another winner and he rightly chooses Lisa...she obviously needed it. His last choice was Skupin.

Thoughts on the fam:
-Malcolm's brother worries me...he seems like he says things without thinking. That could be a problem.
-Oh dear, Skupin's namesake is just as prone to bleeding as he is. Like father like son.

I am hating all the "blindside Malcolm" talk...this is not good! Lisa and Skupin were supposed to be his alliance.

Immunity Challenge
Malcolm needs to actually try this time! If he doesn't win this, I don't think he has any clue that he's in trouble, so he won't play his hidden idol and it will be all over.

Abi proves that her win last week was a complete fluke. She acted as though she was enjoying a relaxing day on the beach. I've never seen someone move so slowly, and clearly neither has Jeff. He just loves to call out the person in last place who has no chance of winning.

My heart is pounding as Malcolm and Carter are so close, and it's Malcolm!!!!! Thank goodness all their plans are foiled. Again, the person who needs it the most gets it. PLUS...he has the hidden immunity which he has to play next week because it is final 5. That means he is safe next week and is safely in the final 4!!! Woohoo!

I really want Abi to go and I really want Carter to stay. Carter's a good kid and he's doing well in challenges, so of course he's a threat. I really hope they keep him because he is so much more deserving. Malcolm just cracks me up...he knows what he's talking about. The reason she will go home is because she is a bitch. And she's clueless! "I don't think I'm bringing any tension." She believes her own lies! I really hope Jeff calls her out on her non-existent idol. That would be epic!

The Vote:
Carter is sent home...NO! Ugh! They went for the easy out instead of playing for the greater good. She just won't go! What is it going to take???

The Voice, Ep. 3.25

Nicholas - Team CeeLo

1st song, chosen by CeeLo: Same predictable, classic Nicholas. Same crazy, spastic movements on stage. For people who love the oldies, he's a dream.

2nd song, chosen by Nicholas: I'm so tired of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"! Singing it like a jazzy 70s number isn't going to make me like it. He does get major points for changing the song and making it unique in a way we've never heard it before...that I did like.

Cassadee - Team Blake

1st song, chosen by Blake: I kind of wish he would stop pushing country on her, because that's not really her. BUT it doesn't matter what she gets because she is completely awesome! I love that she made the country song sound not country. One of her best performances yet! And those high notes at the end? Goosebumps!

2nd song, chosen by Cassadee: Her dream song. Avril Lavigne is perfect for her, because she sounds so similar to her. I would have liked to see her change the song a little instead of copying it, but it was really good as usual.

Amanda -Team Adam

1st song, chosen by Amanda: Oh my gosh, if I never heard "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" again, it wouldn't be long enough. That song is so old and it's been done a gazillion times. What matters though, is that she sang it amazingly and she rocked it. But, man, I hate that song!

2nd song, chosen by Adam: Slightly odd song choice...but only if you didn't know that Amanda can rock with the best of them. I actually think it's a great song choice. She is at her best when she's rocking out! This did not disappoint! That girl can scream like nobody's business! Somebody needs to tell Christina to pay attention. They only said she was singing a Whitesnake song like 10 times, and Christina asks "Was that a Whitesnake song?".

Terry - Team Blake

1st song, chosen by Terry: I really like this song, and he's going to be amazing. I love his stripped down, piano version. It was really pretty! (I know, just what a classic rock male singer wants to hear.)

2nd song, chosen by Blake: Look at him having so much fun! I love it!

Trevin - Team CeeLo

1st song, chosen by CeeLo: Wow, that's an odd song choice. It actually turned out better than I thought it would. It was a much better attempt at a higher energy song than the Usher song he did a couple weeks ago. It was nice to see him have fun, because he always performs such serious, sad songs.

2nd song, chosen by Trevin: Oh how I loathe this song! Again, another song that's been done way, way too many times. It's also a pet peeve for a guy to sing it...don't know why. However, Trevin's got a gift and he sang it well. He just exploded at the end.

Melanie - Team Adam

1st song, chosen by Adam: CeeLo's "Crazy"...should be interesting. I never really know what to think about Melanie. I've decided that I just really don't like the tone of her voice. Sometimes she sounds like when you have a cold and you go to say something and nothing comes out but air. It's just annoying. And what is her deal with Christina? I know she keeps talking about the set more than her performance, but the least she can do is not look completely annoyed while she is talking.

2nd song, chosen by Adam: Thank you Adam, I love this song. Lenka is awesome. Now let's listen to Melanie ruin the song for me. Adam is smart, he put all kinds of moving props all over the stage to distract you from her wobbly vocals. I do have to say it was nice to see her not looking so sad and depressed during the song. Even though it wasn't great and it can't compare to any of the other singers at all...it might be her best performance (that's just sad). Haha more annoyance as Christina is praising the set production and doing her own singing to show her what songs she should be singing. Ok...I would be annoyed too. And one last thought...her updated hair which is now blue and black instead of blonde and black...is she displaying how she's feeling? Beat up and black and blue?

Amazing Race, Ep. 21.10

How funny is it to see 3 teams so incredibly excited to see each other? Poor Josh & Brent, so far behind. Unfortunately, the long delay at the ferry allowed them to completely catch up. It's anyone's game now. Hoping JB FINALLY go home. How on earth have they survived this long?

After getting their first clue, they have to drive to their next location. It occurred to me that this might be the first time this whole race that they have had to drive. How crazy is that? I really don't remember them driving before. Judging by Nadiya's problems with stick, it does seem like it's the first time. Oh! And then JB actually confirm for me that it is indeed the first time! Yay for observant me!

Road Block: Tennis
Some teams will no doubt excel, while others (JB) are no doubt going to struggle.

Trey has played tennis, so yay, this should be easy! They leave in first place!

Come on James, keep 'em in! It's not baseball! Oh no, if they run out of balls in the machine, they have to start over! Woohoo, he gets it on round 2, and they are in second! Pretty good for someone who says "I'm not a well rounded athlete".

JB...oh boy. Josh tripped and hurt his ankle last challenge, so who chooses to do it? Josh. He thought it was feeling better, really? He quickly found out he was in bad shape and could hardly move. He was grunting on every move, it was awful! Not to mention he kept screaming "oh my ankle!"

NN begin with the "come on twinnie!" Not that again! I hope they finish quickly. They have to beat JB, or that's pretty sad. Oh no, Josh is in a groove and getting a bunch. NO!!! I was hoping they would be there forever. Hurry up twinnies! Oh good, they are right behind JB.

Detour: Spill It or Bull It
TL and JJ work together in the cave to find the clue. They were both going to do the bull challenge, but JJ went the wrong way and ended up at the windmill challenge. They were excited to see the construction outfits and said they're familiar with them as Chippendales dancers. They were right that it was pretty easy and they finished quickly as "full service Chippendales"...haha!

At the bull challenge, things were going great until they crashed and Lexie ended up slicing her finger pretty badly. There was s lot of blood. I hope she's ok, because they need to fonish the task. Oh good, they finish and are still in second place.

Whoa, I can't believe NN choose the windmill task. They need to pass up JB, I don't know if they can. Go twinnies! JB know what they are doing from their work on their farm. NN seem pretty clueless. Crap, they're going to blow it! JB just finished and are heading to the pitstop. Non-elimination??? Please! Yes! I knew as soon as Phil asked them what went wrong, before saying "You're the last team to arrive".

The standings at pitstop #10:
1. Trey & Lexie
2. Jaymes & James
3. Josh & Brent
4. Natalie & Nadiya

X Factor, Ep. 2.18 & 2.19

Diamond (Teens-Britney)
Another Whitney song? Ugh... The beginning was a bit awkward and weak, but she quickly recovered. She looked so pretty this week...so grown up. The song seemed to last forever. It was good, but a little boring.

Vino (Over 25s-L.A.)
I hate the way L.A. is handling Vino. He never has the right song to show what he can do. And then he goes and changes the song on him at the last second. Is he trying to get him voted off? And then he changes it to this? Really? "You've Lost That Loving Feeling"? So wrong. He needs to be doing rock ballads like Josh last season. His voice always sounds amazing, but this song isn't going to make people get excited and vote. I did like the way he changed up the end of the song...all except the dumb chorus. Can you tell I hate this song?

Paige (Young Adult-Demi)
I like that Paige knows what she wants to do, but you have to admit that the numbers don't lie. She places higher when she doesn't wear the crazy outfits and go overboard with the staging. I like her look this week, but I'm not crazy about the song. I don't think she nailed the vocals. It was pretty boring to be honest. She hit the big note towards the end, but it was dull otherwise.

Fifth Harmony (Groups-Simon)
They sounded really good on this song! Much better than some of their other performances. I really enjoyed it.

Carly Rose (Teens-Britney)
I say it every week, but I LOVE HER VOICE! I loved how she started out so slow and let the song really build. Simply amazing. Goosebumps. That is all.

Tate (Over 25s-L.A.)
Probably his best song choice. It wasn't quite as bad to tolerate since it was upbeat and he played the guitar for a change. It makes so much of a difference for me when I like the song. By far his best performance, as much as it pains me to admit...

CeCe (Young Adults-Demi)
How is this girl still here? Crying, whining and complaining is not going to make people vote for her. Seriously...just stop. At least this week her song wasn't sad and depressing and she actually smiled during the song. She actually didn't sound too bad either. Much, much, much improved. But, unfortunately, it looks like the flesh-eating disease has reappeared on her face again.

Emblem3 (Groups-Simon)
Really fun, upbeat number. I like how they add their own spin to the songs. It's nice to hear fresh, new takes on songs you've heard hundreds of times. There's no way they can win this show, but I hope they can be successful. Gotta say Demi's criticism is pretty off-base. They might be a tad predictable, but her saying "we know you're going to stand by each other and sing a song." Um...duh! The show is kind of predictable in that way. They are all going to stand there and sing a song!

Results:
Paige received the fewest votes and was eliminated. I don't know how CeCe ended up as Demi's last contestant. Shocking.

Singing for survival: Vino vs Diamond
Wow...I don't even know what to think. Neither deserves to be there. What did I say about L.A. trying to get Vino voted off? Yep...it's happening people. Even though Diamond was eliminated once already, L.A. has dug Vino a big hole, and I don't see him moving on. I just don't think they will give him another chance.

Diamond performed beautifully as usual. It was very strong. Then Vino comes out and sings what he should have sung the night before. It was epic. It was perfect. Such a shame.

The judges all vote to send Vino home except for L.A. Thanks for nothing L.A.

The Rankings:
1. Carly Rose
2. Tate
3. Emblem3
4. Fifth Harmony
5. CeCe
6. Diamond

There is no way he should have beem sent home before CeCe. As much as I love Diamond, the numbers don't lie Vino has been 3rd in votes for 3 weeks straight and Diamond has been in the middle or near the bottom. The judges should have either gone to deadlock or chosen Vino because he has consistently ranked higher.

Survivor, Ep. 25.11

Time for the Abi pity party! "Oh woe to me...".

Aw Malcolm! He is so sweet! No matter how annoying she is, he still felt for her and comforted her. Can we just give him the $1 million and the $100,000 Fan Favorite right now? Most deserving player right there.

Bartering Reward time. These are always exciting.

First one up and Denise spends all her money!

Next one up, Skupin uses all his money!

Malcolm spent $200 and he was so excited for his coffee and donuts.

Abi tells everyone she knows she's going home next, so she is just going to keep the money.

Carter is faced with a dilemma...keep his baked potato or except beans and rice for the tribe. He chooses food for the tribe.

Lisa gets a huge sandwich for $320.

Abi bids all $500 for an advantage in the game. Great...

Last bid, Carter gets veal shanks that is to be divided amongst the tribe. And oh yeah, no utensils!

Back to camp...time for the tribe to talk to Abi, or actually just Penner is talking and the rest of the tribe keeps their backs to them, while trying not to laugh and making funny faces. Ha!

Abi's advantage: she advances to the final in the challenge. One would have to think that even so, she still stands no chance of winning. Let's hope that she doesn't get lucky all of a sudden. Oh no, she's getting cocky. She is making a fake idol to try to trick them. Crap!

Her first target: Malcolm. Please be smart-don't fall for it Malcolm!

Immunity Challenge:
I wonder if they will figure Abi out when Jeff moves her to the final.

So Jeff has her read her note. She lies and says there is 2 parts and that she is only to read pne part-being the part about going to the final round. Then she rips up the note! How did she get so smart in 1 day??? Probst better call her out at Tribal!

Moving on to round 2: Denise, Carter, Skupin, Malcolm, Penner

Very interesting challenge-they have to answer a question before the physical part. If you answer wrong they get weight added to them, which makes the physical part tough.

Moving on to round 3: Abi, Carter, Penner
-Penner has no weight and neither does Abi. Carter unfortunately has some weight. It's between Abi and Carter! Crap, how is she doing this? Holy crap, she won it! You've got to be frickin' kidding me!

Tribal Council
Everything is up in the air. Lisa has given up. Denise and Penner's names are being tossed around. Penner discovered the final 4 deal between Malcolm, Denise, Skupin and Lisa. They basically told him it's his own fault because he didn't want to make a deal.

Oh dear, now Skupin appears to be flip-flopping...again. If he was on Big Brother, he would be on the outs because he's such an obvious floater.

With a vote 4-3 Penner is out! Love his exit...classic!
