The Voice, Ep. 5.3

More Blind Audition additions to our 4 teams.

Team Adam

Justin Blake - He definitely took a risk by singing a Blake Shelton song. Adam was very quick to push his button. I'm not a country fan, but I really don't think he was worth turning around for. There are plenty of country singers who can sing better. I wasn't impressed. But what made it really funny is the fact that Adam didn't know it was a Blake song.

Preston Pohl - He came out very strong and he got some very energetic button pushes very early. He was very cool and did some very cool things with his voice. He had a falsetto, but also had a low growl.

Team Blake

Ray Boudreaux - How cute is he as a single dad?! When he sings he reminds me of Jonny Lang, and he even looks like him too. He has a very old soul sound to him. I don't think there will be anyone else that sounds like him in the competition...which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

Monika Leigh - Her low notes need some work, but she sounds a lot like Joss Stone. Her upper register is a lot better, and when she sings up there, she has a really cool vibe. I didn't care for her song choice at all, but it definitely showcased her voice and what she can do with it.

Cilla Chan

Team CeeLo

Juhi - Love her! She's got an amazing voice! She is very spunky and charismatic on stage as well. She's got a little bit of Christina Aguilera and I heard a lot of Duffy in the Duffy song she sang. And the girl is only 16! It was shocking to hear her inspirations are Nirvana and Sublime...what interesting choices, compared to the song she sang.

George Horga, Jr. - Cute guy singing Bruno Mars...he's got something. He's got some charisma going. Not the best vocal, but he's got potential.

Anthony Paul

Team Christina

Lina Gaudenzi - She has a gorgeous, effortless voice. I don't really care for the vibrato, it's a bit much. She sounds a lot better when she doesn't do that. The end run she did was pretty impressive.

Timyra Joi - What a voice for such a young girl-15! You could hear some nerves, but she's got a ton of potential.

Briana Cuoco - Kaley Cuoco's sister! I don't know if it was nerves, but she seemed kind of shaky. She started off a bit rocky, but she definitely hit her stride at the chorus, with some huge notes.

Jacob Poole

Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 17.3

I still can't get used to this format...I almost forgot that someone else was going home at the end of the show. I think Bill Engvall will be in trouble. I also think Elizabeth and maybe Leah could be near the bottom. The big question is whether or not Bill Nye will be able to compete. After his fall last week, his leg has been a problem. In a picture posted on Facebook, his left leg was almost twice the size of his other skinny bird leg. The same question could go for Valerie, as she has been nursing an injured knee. Could we lose 2 people in 1 week because of an injury?

It's Hollywood night in the ballroom, can't wait to see what's in store!

Leah & Tony - Rumba
The James Bond theme, done to Adele's "Skyfall" should be really cool. I think it would be even cooler if Derek or Mark were choreographing it. I think Tony might go too predictable with it. But he does make a really cute James Bond!! Leah looks gorgeous as a Bond girl. I'm not totally buying their chemistry, it doesn't seem very genuine, it's a little forced. She did an OK job, but it didn't look like that difficult of choreography, and I think she could have taken it further.
Score: 24

Corbin & Karina - Quickstep
Karina wants to throw the book at him! She is hoping to put a move in that's never been done on the show before. This dance does not come as easily for him as the Latin dances have. I have a feeling he'll pull it off though. It's definitely quick! I think he matched her step for step, which had to be hard because it was so fast! Let's hope the judges like his form and hold. He's such a natural performer, and that really helps bring character to his dances.
Score: 26

Elizabeth & Val - Foxtrot
Wow, that is some big hair she's got this week! I really hate the old fashioned music, and this is just way too over the top...yuck! She danced it very well, but let's be honest, Foxtrots just aren't exciting, especially when you pair them with such out-dated music.
Score: 25

Brant & Peta - Quickstep
He is also hurt! He had been practicing in a boot all week because of a sprained ligament. Can I just say how fine he looks! What a strange version of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love"! Somehow they turned it into a 20's flapper song...weird! Any way...his dancing was phenomenal, especially considering his injury and how he wasn't able to practice full out. It was a really fun routine and good choreography from Peta.
Score: 27

Valerie & Tristan - ChaCha
I love Tristan's idea of making her Grace Kelly and he is Freddie Mercury...what a combo! His mustache in rehearsal was hysterical! Oh I was so hoping they would dance to Mika's "Grace Kelly"!! This combo was even funnier than I thought it would be. But Tristan's Freddie Mercury impersonations are to die for! Beyond that, her dancing is pretty atrocious, if I'm being honest. She just kind of stomped around. It was very entertaining though!
Score: 16

Bill Engvall & Emma - Paso Doble
The Lone Ranger theme is perfect for the Paso. He is so serious about this dance! It was a really fun routine! I think he did a very good job with not only the passion of the dance, but the dance moves as well.
Score: 24

Amber & Derek - Charleston
I could say this every week, but Derek is just too good looking...not to mention freakin' talented! His choreo this week was just off the hook! How does he manage to top himself every single week. The song was absolutely amazing...I have no idea what it was, but it was killer. The dance was killer, she was killer, can't say any more than that!
Score: 24

Jack & Cheryl - ChaCha
They definitely went a different route with the theme for this week. Jack was right, everyone was doing 20s, so his 70s pimp was a welcome change. What an interesting opening, with him going down a huge slide over the staircase. I loved Cheryl's outfit and boots! He looked like he lost a couple steps here and there, but overall, it was another good performance.
Score: 22

Christina & Mark - Charleston
I can't wait to see this, because Mark is dressed as a clown, in full face paint. Always the comedian and performer, he is. He looks absolutely hilarious! It is perfect for the Charleston. Aside from the costumes, I was actually a little undwhelmed by the choreography and the routine. I don't usually say that about Mark's dances. I didn't think they used the floor very well, they just kind of stayed in one place. I didn't think there was a lot of difficulty there, though.
Score: 26

Nicole & Sasha - Quickstep
Look at those little legs go! I didn't know if she would be able to pull off a ballroom dance or not, but she totally did! Lots of credit to Sasha for some great choreography, and that one-handed double cartwheel was super impressive!
Score: 25

Bill Nye & Tyne - Jazz
Tyne said Bill tore 80% of his quadricep and was told not to dance on it. BUT...he's going to dance! I can't believe it, what a trooper! He really wants this so bad, that he's willing to totally immobilize his knee and choreograph something "peg leg style", meanwhile running the risk of tearing things worse and requiring surgery. They have made us wait all night, and teased us with his homemade looking robot costume. This better live up to the hype, because there is a chance this is going to be epic. And it is epic!!!! Quite possibly the strangest thing to ever happen on the dancefloor! There are no words to describe this masterpiece. He was killing it without moving his leg! Tyne's choreography was so inventive and the routine was fabulous. The robot theme was perfect, and his costume was perfection. The technique might not be up to par, but entertainment-wise was a 10. Clearly, he could get all 1s and he isn't going anywhere...the fans love and adore him!
Score: 16

Elimination Results
In Jeopardy: Christina & Mark, Brant & Peta, Bill Nye & Tyne --- WHAT????? Really scared that someone good is going to go home WAY too early!
Going Home: Bill & Tyne

I am so in shock! The fan support for him was off the charts, I just can't believe it wasn't enough to save him. Apparently everyone thought he was a shoo-in and didn't bother to vote. I'm sad to see him go, but justice was served because on a talent level and a physical level, he just couldn't keep up. It wouldn't be fair for anyone besides him or Valerie to go.

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 9 Recap

Ben's Surprise
For his birthday, Ben is surprised by Bert and Patti Newton--his 2 favorite celebrities. He was sad when he didn't get a party like the rest of the housemates did, but Big Brother had a surprise up his sleeve.  Big Brother blindfolds Ben and takes him outside to the Garden of Eden. He thinks it's so beautiful and he says "Oh Ben don't cry"...and he hasn't even met Bert and Patti yet! He is led back to the DR and then back out to the backyard where Bert and Patti are singing "Happy Birthday" to him! It's hugs and tears all around! So cute Ben! He told them how much he idolized them growing up and they said that he is their favorite housemate. They even brought him a present! Then they sing him a song from his favorite album, and Ben gets to dance with Patti. He was in heaven!

Patti gives Ben a little makeover, and she gives him one of Bert's toupee's! Oh my...that is hilarious! With Bert's matching glasses, and new toupee, they could be twins!

Finally, Ben gets to share Bert and Patti with the rest of the housemates.

Intruder Alert!
An alarm sounds and red lights flash, as the TV screen says "Intruder Alert". 2 new housemates are on their way. One is a nice guy and the other is a trouble maker who is looking to take Tim down. Things are about to get interesting. 2 will enter and the public will vote to get rid of one of them.

Intruder #1 is Justynn: "not spelled with an 'in', with a 'ynn' because my mother hated me." He's a lumberjack and he wants to stir up some trouble. He says he is going to be Tim's "friend". He seems really funny, it will be interesting to see how the others react to him.

Intruder #2 is Nathan, the "gay Mr. T", who is a trivia show host. He seems like a nice guy, and I think he and Ben will get along well. He definitely isn't as exciting as Justynn, that's for sure.

Amazing Race, Ep. 23.1

Season 23 is here! Phil says it will be the most competitive teams yet! Should be exciting...

In case you missed it, here are the bios for the 11 teams.

The 2 Express Passes are in play again this season. The team to finish 1st on the 1st leg of the race will win an Express Pass for themselves and a 2nd Express Pass for them to give to someone else.

And they're off, to Chile!
Leo & Jamal, cousins, aka "Afghanimals" are out first and they make it to the airport first. Brandon & Adam are the first team to get stuck on the 2nd flight. All the teams finally make it to the airport, and it's a waiting game, so they take the time to get to know everyone. Leo & Jamal and Ally & Ashley connect quickly and could be the first alliance in the race.

Nicole & Travis seem to have an advantage, as they speak pretty fluent Spanish. It turns out Leo & Jamal do as well.

Road Block: Follow Paraglider
One team member will paraglide while the other will remain on the ground and will follow them in a taxi and meet them wherever they land.

Marie "stole" the cab from Jamal as they raced to find their partner. I'm not sure if she knew she was stealing his cab, but he had called for a cab and she ended up snagging it. He already thought she was annoying, so this could be the first enemies of the season.

Road Block: Collect 5 Fish
Whoever did the 1st Road Block, must do this Road Block. Nicole & Travis reach this Road Block 1st. Rowan is funny, he said "my name isn't Rowan for nothing"...as he rows his boat to collect his fish. Meanwhile, Chester wondered if the little rowboat would hold him. Some teams made it look easy, while others struggled to get themselves going.

Leo & Jamal didn't read the clue and Jamal took off in the boat. If it wasn't for one of the girls, they would have had no clue. It took Leo awhile to get Jamal to come back to the dock so he could go out and do the task, and Jamal didn't seem to be in any hurry.

Jason & Amy lucked out that Jason got to do the rowing task because he rowed crew. That task was nothing for him...he killed it! Brandon on the other hand was confused and couldn't find the right boats.

Naina also read the clue wrong and took off in the boat. She continued to flop around and struggle, and THEN she realized that she read the clue wrong and he should have done it. It was dark by the time he finished. Bummer. However, reading the clue wrong didn't lose it for them, because Brandon & Adam were almost done and had already left the Road Block.

Pit Stop
Nicole & Travis arrive first, however...they have a 30 minute penalty because they took a taxi instead of walking. They are reminded of the #1 Rule in Amazing Race: READ THE CLUE!

1. Tim & Marie -- winners of the 2 Express Passes
2. Nicole & Travis
3. Rowan & Shane
4. Chester & Ephraim
5. Nicky & Kim
6. Ally & Ashley
7. Leo & Jamal
8. Jason & Amy
9. Tim & Danny
10. Brandon & Adam
11. Hoskote & Naina -- ELIMINATED

Survivor, Ep. 27.2

Redemption Island-Duel
Marissa joins Rupert and Candice at Redemption Island. She filled them in on her blindside.

Right off the bat, at the duel, Marissa tells Gervase (and everyone else) that his celebrating was the reason she was voted out. She said he rubbed salt in their wounds, and his response was that there was going to be more. Boy, Gervase, that's a lot of talking, but you don't seem to have much to back it up.

Gervase tells Marissa to handle her business, and with that, she is on her own. The top 2 will stay and the loser goes home. You would think that the experience of Candice and Rupert will come into play here. Marissa will have to perform well under pressure. They have to take a small spool and work it through a maze, then stack them. Candice had a very solid stack and she finished first. Rupert was in 2nd but he stupidly allowed his spools to be placed very crooked and they came tumbling down! Marissa stayed composed and pulled it out! Good for her! She deserved to get a chance to stick around.

As the winner, Candice gets to give a clue to the hidden immunity idol to anyone. She of course chooses her husband John. Good move, but also a bad move. He will now be a target because of this.

Galang
The old Colton is back! He's moping around and he is starting to whine already! They are only 4 days in! He is running around like crazy spreading all kinds of lies to EVERYONE! This person told me they want you out, I heard this person say this...blah blah blah. We are in for much more from this episode, as preluded by a tweet he sent out earlier today: "I guess I should go ahead and pre apologize to all the overly sensitive people who will inevitably be offended by the way I breathe tonight."

I love Kat's interaction with Colton, it's pretty funny. However, it turns into nothing but DRAMA! Aras is right, he's a bully and he needs to go. Aras, Gervase, Tyson, Tina and Monica bond over the bullying incident and decide to make a final 5 alliance. I like this alliance a lot! I just kind of wish Kat was in on it. I'd like to see her go far (mainly because I'm rooting for Hayden).

Tadhana
Rachel realizes that as a female, she is in the minority. So, she tries to build her relationship with the guys. The rest of the girls see that she isn't strategizing with the girls. They think she has an alliance with John and they hope to exploit that so that it puts a target on his back.

Vytas brings up an interesting strategy. He thinks that the returning players are likely to swap with their partners in the duel. Therefore, to get someone strong out from their side, who should THEY vote out. They want Tyson out, so their target will most likely be Rachel. They must not know Tyson very well if they think he will switch places with Rachel.

John uses his clue to go look for the hidden immunity idol.

Immunity & Reward Challenge
Kat chooses to sit out for Galang since they have an extra person.

The challenge is to roll a teammate in a barrel. Next is a knotted rope they have to undo to get a bag of balls. They get back in the barrel to the next station. Finally at the end, someone has to roll the balls up a ramp and into holes.

It was neck and neck through 4 stations. Tadhana pulls ahead as they undo the bags. Hayden is tossing first for Tadhana and Gervase is throwing for Galang. Hayden is on a roll with 3 and Gervase ties it up! Now Gervase pulls ahead, but it's tied at 4 again. But 2 in a row for Gervase and Galang wins! Darn, I was really hoping Hayden could pull out the win.

Gervase screams "MARISSA! That was for you". Nice, Gervase...just keep making yourself look horrible.

Reward: fishing gear

Pre-Tribal Council
The guy alliance wants to vote for Rachel because they are afraid of Tyson. John doesn't want Rachel out because they are friends and more importantly, he doesn't want Tyson competing against Candice. He is very hesitant and tries to throw out reasons not to choose Rachel. Vytas tells Katie that John is on board with voting out Rachel and she says she doesn't believe that. John tells Ciera that they are going to tell Rachel that everyone is voting Ciera so she should too. Ciera and Katie talk and they are worried that if John has the idol that she will then go home, so they think they should vote for John instead. This could be bad because the guys are now having some serious doubts about John's loyalty. He has a lot of things going badly for him right now. He was publicly given the clue and now he's wavering on his loyalty with the alliance. Oh yeah, and they aren't real happy that he isn't sharing the clue with them. Uh oh! If John goes, that is going to be a very awkward duel between husband and wife! Not to mention 3rd-wheel Marissa.

Tribal Council
The votes:
John
John
Ciera
Rachel
Rachel
Rachel
Rachel

Rachel is voted out. I think their plan is going to backfire, because I don't think Tyson will switch places with her. They wanted to make the other tribe weaker by getting Tyson out, but they really just made their tribe weaker (like John warned) by voting out Rachel over the other girls.

The Voice, Ep. 5.2

Round 1 Blind Auditions continue, as the coaches continue to add singers to their teams.

Team Adam

Barry Black - He's Samoan and plays the guitar...oh and he make horn noises with his mouth! Besides that being a little weird, his voice is really nice too. I'm not blown away by him though--he's just a little too bland and boring. The mouth horn was interesting, but there wasn't enough else that was that interesting.

Tessanne Chin - She's from Jamaica and she chose Pink's "Try". She did an amazing job. Very strong and powerful vocal.

Team Blake

Holly Henry - I did not expect a voice like that! It's very haunting, breathy and beautiful. She picked the awesome "Scientist" by Coldplay and did an amazing job with it! Loved it!

Austin Jenckes - Very soulful voice, and he did a great version of "Simple Man" by Shinedown. He hit an amazing high note that won him the chair turn arounds.

E.G. Daly - She does voice-overs with a very high and squeaky voice. She was also on PeeWee Herman and the Powerpuff Girls. When she sings she has a lot of different sounds, but mostly it's really gravelly.

Team CeeLo

Cole Vosbury - He has a very different, unique vibe with a blend of country and soul. He looks like a younger version of Nicholas David.

Jonny Gray - He chose an interesting song to audition with: The Killers' "All These Things I've Done". It's a hard song to use to show off your voice, but he did a great job with it! My last thought as he ended the song was "very cool" and that was the first thing that CeeLo said.

Team Christina

Jacquie Lee - How cute is she? She looks a very young 16, but singing Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black", she sounded so mature! It was amazing! She will be one to watch because she has got a ton of talent.

Destinee Quinn - She is gorgeous and very talented. She sounded a little nervous and shaky though.

The Voice, Ep. 5.1

Season 5 begins, with the Blind Auditions. Here's who ended up on who's teams:

Team Adam

Donna Allen - oldest artist in the competition; was on Miami Sound Machine with Gloria Estefan

Nic Hawk - absolutely loved his rendition of Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'em Up"; he's quirky and really fun...and extremely talented!

James Wolpert - classic case of voice doesn't match the person! what a surprise! shockingly awesome performance!

Team Blake

Shelbie Z. - typical female country singer; she needs to work on the lower notes

Team CeeLo

Kat Robichaud - rocker chick with a rather annoying scream; up until the screaming, she was really good

Caroline Pennell - extremely shy 17-year-old with a quirky voice that sounds a little like a mix between Norah Jones, A Fine Frenzy and Ingrid Michaelson; she also reminds me of last season's Caroline Glaser

Team Christina

Matthew Schuler - my absolute favorite of night 1...AMAZING! I love his backstory and his voice is truly amazing, and he seems like a really nice, down-to-earth guy; plus he sang one of my favorite songs: "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant; all 4 coaches turned around after only hearing a couple of notes from him, and they all fought hard (Adam even climbed on top of his chair)

Josh Logan - very good, and I think he might have even sung the song better than the original!; he's got a very cool vibe about him

Dancing With the Stars, Ep. 17.2

Week 2

Elizabeth & Val - Samba
She seemed a little slow and behind the music at the beginning, but she picked it up about half way through. That split was impressive!
Scores: 25 (49/60 2 week total)

Christina & Mark - Paso Doble
So theatrical! I love the smoke and their costumes are fabulous! Great choreo by Mark to this popular Lady Gaga song. Loved it! She looked great.
Scores: 25 (47/60 2 week total)

Bill Engvall & Emma - Jive
It really amazes me that he gets all the steps. He just seems like he would be the type of guy who wouldn't be able to pick up the choreography and would struggle to get through the steps. But that isn't the case. He's actually quite good. Good for him! And he always looks like he is having so much fun.
Scores: 21 (39/60 2 week total)

Jack & Cheryl - Rumba
What a different side to Jack! He's normally the funny guy, but he did a good job with the more serious and sexy Rumba. Holy crap, he just did a split! Wow Jack! What a good performance, he is really surprising me. I didn't expect him to be so good and convincing in each of the styles.
Scores: 24 (47/60 2 week total)

Keyshawn & Sharna - Samba
Keyshawn's got some moves this week! He looks much more comfortable than he did last week! It was so much better. Really fun routine. And he's even getting emotional now! Aw! I don't agree with the low judges' scores at all! It should have at least been 7s!
Scores: 18 (35/60 2 week total)

Nicole & Sasha - Rumba
I have to say, I love Nicole and Sasha together...they are hilarious! I never in a million years I would like Snooki! She has totally transformed herself, and she was so beautiful and captivating in this Rumba! Holy smokes! Stunning! I can't believe that the judges didn't think it was that good...and of course Carrie Ann has to call out the lifts. If Len and Bruno don't deduct for lifts, I don't know why she still gets to.
Scores: 20 (43/60 2 week total)

Leah & Tony - Samba
Sexy Leah! She looks 1000% better than she did last week in that ugly, frumpy dress. She showed a lot of improvement from last week. The faster Latin dance suits her a lot better than I thought it would. I thought she might have trouble keeping up, but that wasn't the case at all!
Scores: 24 (45/60 2 week total)

Bill Nye & Tyne - Paso Doble
Oh my...Bill as Mozart...crazy! He actually pulls it off! Absolutely hysterical! Funny, yet, he's actually doing the moves and trying to be serious. It just looks so funny coming from him! I can't wait to hear what the judges think about it...as the audience chants "Bill, Bill, Bill".
Scores: 17 (31/60 2 week total)

Corbin & Karina - Jive
This should be right up Corbin's alley. Hello "High School Musical"! That took a lot of guts to do a solo...on the judges' table...right in front of the judges! He killed it! I love the theme they chose to go with the music...it was too cute! Did he just do a split under Karina? Why yes he did!
Scores: 26 (50/60 2 week total)

Valerie & Tristan - Paso Doble
Whoa, Valerie coming out with some intensity! I didn't know if she could pull of the tough and aggressive Paso. She gave it all she had, but she did mess up a couple times. It was better than I thought it would be though.
Scores: 19 (40/60 2 week total)

Brant & Peta - Rumba
This is going to be good! He is smokin' hot! It was smokin' hot...that's all there is to say about that!
Scores: 23 (45/60 2 week total)

Amber & Derek - Jive
Tough choreography, fast steps. Derek just doesn't ever hold back does he? That's why we love him. Amber is so impressive to be able to pull it of. She needs to work on her kicks, just a tad, though. This is stuff he would be pulling out week 10, and it's only week 2!
Scores: 24 (51/60 2 week total)

ELIMINATION:
In Jeopardy (not necessarily the bottom 3): Elizabeth & Val, Bill Engvall & Emma and Keyshawn & Sharna
Eliminated: Keyshawn & Sharna

I had a feeling he might be in trouble. I'm sad to see him go, but he just didn't make the impact that previous football players have done.

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 8 Recap

Week of Changes
Ben was evicted, but not really. He is hiding out in the Presidential Suite and has been given a ton of power. Beginning this week, there will only be 4 people nominated instead of 6. The Showdown winner will still get to save someone, but they will not be swapping that person for someone else. That will leave 3 people up for the public vote.

Ben's First Power
Ben gets to ask a question to 2 housemates, and he will get to see their answers on the TV.  He chooses to ask Ed and Tahan how their game will change now that Ben has been evicted. He also wonders if they think their chances of winning have increased. Tahan said she thinks her chances have increased and she doesn't really have a strategy other than being herself. She also said that she was lucky to meet Ben, and Matt and Caleb. Ed thinks his chances of winning have increased because he thought Ben was going to be there for awhile. His strategy is to last as long as he can, and he does have some cards up his sleeve. He also eluded to some very interesting things about some people being manipulated and that people are getting away with things. He said Tim is the biggest manipulator. He said when the time is right he will expose the things that he knows. Then he said something that shocked Ben. He said that Tim was going to plot people's downfall, and Ben was included because he was afraid of Ben. Oh dear...this won't be good when Ben comes back in the house!

Big Brother, Ep. 15.32: Finale

It's finale night, and who is excited?! This girl! It's been a really long and disappointing season. Early favorites Nick, Jeremy, David and Howard were all voted out way too early, and we were left with some really despicable human beings who do not deserve to be there. Aside from their horrible, unacceptable behavior, the houseguests left in the game were all floaters and had no gameplay. How do you root for someone? I don't know. As people, Andy said the least amount of offensive things. However, he was a rat and a major floater who lied to everyone. Spencer spent his entire summer on the block, and also didn't have any gameplay, mainly because he never had any power. That leaves us with GinaMarie. She was extremely offensive and racist, BUT...she was the only person to have enough guts to split up McCranda and actually put the nail in Amanda's coffin. That deserves a lot of credit. Granted, it should have been done much earlier, but if she hadn't of done it, they would still be in the house. So, based on that, and that alone (well, that and the fact that Spencer and Andy are just really annoying), I think I have to be pulling for GinaMarie. Don't get me wrong, if it was a perfect world, Big Brother would say that none of them deserve to win, declare no winner and donate the $500,000 to an anti-bullying charity.

So, here we go!

HOH: Round 1
They have to hold onto a rope that is pulling them in circles while they are on rollerskates. 2 seconds into the comp, and you can tell GinaMarie is going to win. Andy and Spencer were all over the place. Spencer was out first, followed by Andy who slipped, and just like that, GinaMarie heads to the final round.

HOH: Round 2
Spencer vs. Andy. They are attached to a harness and they have to grab crabs with houseguest's pictures on them. Then, they climb the rock wall to place them at the top. The goal is to put them in the order they were evicted.

Andy has no upper body strength and he keeps getting tangled in his ropes...haha! He thinks he is done after struggling to find Candice's crab. Then he realizes that he messed up Aaryn and Helen, so he has to go back up again! Spencer would really have to bomb, I think. But, he's a big guy and he might be slow climbing the wall. What is he doing? He actually just stops and starts to think about his girlfriend and family. I guess it worked, because all of a sudden, he kicked it into high gear.

Andy: 21:54
Spencer: 36:11

Holy crap! Spencer took over 36 minutes?! That wasn't even close! What was he doing that entire time? Apparently, he stopped to think way too much!

Jury House--Dr. Will Visits!

I'm so excited to see Dr. Will again! He brings in juror #8, McCrae! It doesn't take long for the fur to fly! Amanda has the death look down! If her looks could kill, every member of that jury would be dead! Lots of interesting questions posed...way too many to list. Surprisingly, lots of points on why each of them should win the game. Except, it was pretty funny when Will asked what Andy's biggest game move was, and there was silence. I honestly have NO IDEA how this jury is going to vote. Some of them are bitter, some of them respect gameplay, some of them respect the people who played less-cruel than the rest. It honestly could be any one of them at this point.

HOH: Round 3
GinaMarie vs. Andy

Before the comp, Andy lays the groundwork for his plan. He tries to convince GinaMarie that if he wins, he would definitely take her to the finals...hoping that she would agree to take him. She thinks he deserves it more than Spencer, but she doesn't think she can beat him.

This comp looks interesting! GinaMarie and Andy are standing on a swinging platform, which is actually a very big scale. They want to tip the scale in their favor by answering questions about what the jury members have said.

Ooh, this is not looking good, it's 4-2 in favor of Andy. GinaMarie looks absolutely clueless, but she just gained one on Andy! Last question, they both answer the same, they are both right...Andy wins. Barf! Of course, since I want GinaMarie to win, of course that means she doesn't. I didn't believe Andy for a second when he was talking to GinaMarie. I would be shocked if he didn't stick with Spencer and give GinaMarie the boot. I think she beats him, if he takes her. Plus, he and Spencer have been attached at the hip for just about the entire game.

Andy's Choice
Andy tells Spencer that his word to him has been true. However...he gave his word to GinaMarie on night 2, and he evicts Spencer!!!!! Whoa!!!!! Does this mean she might actually win?! I hope that was the dumbest move that he could have made! Let's hope the jury respects the HUGE game move that GM made. All Andy did was cry and float on his tears all the way to the end.

Jury Questions
GM is asked what the hardest thing she had to overcome was. I KNEW she was going to say Nick being voted out! Surprisingly, GinaMarie who is known as not a good talker, she isn't doing too badly, but she doesn't have enough good points. Just being "GinaMarie" is not going to be enough, I don't think.

Wow, Andy is doing some good talking. He has some valid points and he really talks a good game. He makes it sound like he actually had a strategy...but I'm still not sure if he actually did, but it sounds good. He might just be able to talk his way into a win. It is shocking to hear about Andy's loyalty to GinaMarie. He might have just won back his money. He said he threatened to be a bitter jury member, so that they wouldn't backstab him. He said his biggest move before joining the Exterminators was aligning with Amanda and McCrae. Week after week, people tried to get him to flip, but he stuck with them and played both sides of the house, and then told Amanda everything.

Former BB player Braden tweeted: "Andy should win based on his answers alone. GM bombed that. This was a lesson, stay in school, kids." lol! That's a good one

Cast Reunited
Julie asks Howard about his reaction to the show after he was evicted. He said he couldn't believe the severity of the comments and he hopes that the people that said them can grow from this experience. He truly is a class act. Spencer asks if he said anything bad. Um, really Spencer?! Wow, these people are so delusional! Boy is he in for a surprise when he goes to show up at work.

I really wish they would have allowed some more time for more in depth questions to really grill these people! They got off easy! I would have loved if they would have asked some viewer questions. And they kind of pulled a Survivor, and didn't even talk to or acknowledge the first 5, pre-jury people. I wanted to hear from Nick and David!

Wow, so embarrassing...as they cut from the house to go to commercial, GinaMarie shouts out "Hi Nick! Nick!" and waves ridiculously at the camera. That poor guy. I feel so sorry for him...he is never going to be able to get rid of her. I hope he gets a restraining order.

The Votes
Spencer - Andy
McCrae - Andy
Judd - GinaMarie
Elissa - Andy
Amanda - Andy
Aaryn - GinaMarie
Helen - Andy
Jessie - Andy
Candice - Andy

So, Andy wins the $500,000 and GinaMarie walks away with $50,000. Someone guard Nick, GinaMarie is coming out of the house! Andy becomes the first LGBT player to win Big Brother. Apparently, I overlooked and underestimated GinaMarie's awful public speaking skills. Andy's job is a public speaking professor, and it clearly showed. He blew GinaMarie away...she didn't stand a chance. I forgot just how bad she was...at least she didn't stumble over any big words this time. Unfortunately, that's all she did right. She didn't seem like she thought about or prepared for any of the questions ahead of time. Her answers weren't very clear and she really made no case for herself besides "being GinaMarie". Even her move of getting Amanda out wasn't enough to save her, because she couldn't come up with another big move pre-Exterminators.

The cast seems rather unenthusiastic compared to most years when Andy was announced the winner. Everyone except for Helen, that is. She continues her over-the-top enthusiasm and you can hear her shrieking "You just won Big Brother!" No, duh, Helen!

MVP
Judd, Elissa and Howard were the top 3, and it is Elissa...who didn't see that coming? Elissa gets $25,000 for being Amercia's favorite. I would have loved to see Nick or Howard win, but I guess there are far worse people than Elissa. She deserves it for what she had to go through in the house.

Two Final Notes
GinaMarie was glued to Nick as Julie was announcing the MVP win. The look on his face was priceless. He looked like he was secretly trying to say with his eyes "Someone please help me!"

So ends another season, and a disappointing one at that. Thank goodness I have Big Brother Australia to watch. At least some countries know how to put on a good show, worth watching and worth rooting for. If our beloved US version hopes to regain what it lost this season, they need to look at the success of Australia and the UK and take some notes. Even the Canadian version did a great job on their first season, and a lot could be learned from them. Next season looks to be some form of an All Star version, in hopes of regaining some dignity. Good luck, and see ya next summer, Big Brother!

Survivor, Ep. 27.1

The Arrival!
The 10 couples are taken to separate locations and left to fend themselves for the night. Some couples, the Survivor veterans took charge, but for some (Colton), their partners took charge. Colton, laying on the ground, actually said to Caleb "Do you want me to do something?"

The morning comes, and all of the couples meet on the beach for the first time. Can I just say...that was one of the most beautiful sunrises on that beach! Immediately, Probst breaks the good and the bad news. Good news: "you will be playing this game with your loved one". Bad news: "you will be playing against them". It was a bittersweet moment, as some were looking forward to the challenge of playing against their loved one. However, most of them were pretty sad to be split up.

Twist #1
10 minutes into the game and we have our first twist! Each tribe will be voting someone out NOW! Laura (Rupert's wife) is voted out from the loved one's tribe. From the returning player's tribe, it's Candice. Strangely enough, Laura got the 2nd most votes. Sucks to be a Laura in Survivor apparently. I'm guessing they picked Candice because she was a last minute replacement and didn't get to bond with the others. That's why a couple of them used the excuse that they didn't really know her that well. (For those who don't know, or don't remember, Candice and her husband John replaced RC and her dad when he had to be taken out at the last minute because of really high blood pressure.

Twist #2
Candice and Laura are going to Redemption Island. They will face off in a duel for a chance to come back into the game.

Twist #3
Loved ones can switch places with their loved one on Redemption Island. Before Probst can even tell Rupert the consequences, he offers himself up and takes her place. Laura then goes to the tribe of all returning players. What an uphill battle she is going to have. The returning players were a little upset because they were counting on Rupert's skills at camp. For Candice, John decides to keep his spot on his tribe, after discussing it with her.

Galang--Returning Players
Thanks to some BR (Boston Rob) rules, Tyson helps the tribe start their fire in the first 15 minutes. Nice job, Tyson! They have water, they have fire. Things are really cooking! And then there's Colton. Who was dumb enough to let him near a sharp object like a saw? He looks like he's going to cut off a body part in the next couple seconds.

Monica and Colton try to get off on the right foot. Having played together last time, Monica was really wary of playing with him again because of how nasty and untrustworthy he was.

It's all laughs and smiles as they chill around the camp fire. Colton shares about his last time playing the game, and talks sincerely about his background and why he was the way he was. I think everyone saw a different side of Colton, and unless the old Colton rears his ugly head, I think his tribe is going to move on from the person he was and won't hold it against him.

Tadhana--Loved Ones
Vytas takes to cutting some wood, and in no time, their shelter is taking shape. That's pretty impressive! They do need to get some fire though. Fire is proving to be a challenge for this group. They don't have the experience the returning players do, obviously.

Before they get too far along, Brad addresses the group. Back on the beach, he stupidly said he would want to help his wife out. Marissa did NOT like that. After he said it, he realized it was stupid. So, he told the group that he was with them, hoping to make up for his slip-up.

Right away, Brad and John go off to themselves and begin talking. Brad and Hayden talk about an all guy alliance. Next up was Caleb, but he didn't seem like he was really falling for it. He agreed, but they need to watch out for him. Vytas also seems to be on board. That was some impressive scrambling, but he's proving to be a big talker, and if he's making that many deals, people are going to start talking, and he could find himself the first one out. Also...he needs to work on his math skills. Hayden tweeted: "Clearly Brad took a few hits in his NFL days!"

The tribe finds some common ground as they share their difficult pasts. Ciera was a teen mom and Vytas had a drug addiction and was arrested.

Redemption Island
Who would have thunk it that 2 returning players would be "out of the game" so quickly. Candice is really upset that her tribe voted her out so quickly. She is also really annoyed with having to live with Rupert. She is doing ALL the work! Come on Rupe...pick up a machete! He says he is playing differently this time, and the reason he hasn't won immunity before is because he kills himself at camp. Smart thinking, I guess, but boy is it annoying to watch one person doing nothing, while the other person is doing everything. I've been over Rupert for a long time now (since after his first time playing), and I wouldn't mind seeing him be the first to go...officially. Malcolm tweeted: "Watching Candice stuck with Rupert makes me almost appreciate only being stuck with Phillip. Almost." haha!

Immunity Challenge
As the tribes read the tree mail about what the challenge is going to be, they are all strategically thinking about what roles their loved ones will be doing. This adds an interesting layer to the game, and a lot more chance for strategic play.

The challenge is a water obstacle course, culminating in a final puzzle. Tadhana gets all their players over the first obstacle course before Galang. Galang looked slow and they were really laboring. Poor Aras! No one was helping him over the barrel! Gervase struggled in the water, and I was reminded that he couldn't swim when he played in his first season. He now can swim (sort of), but he can't move...he's out of breath and really struggling. He held his tribe up big time. Aras had to drag him through the water! Wow...what an embarrassing first showing for Gervase and Galang.

Tadhana is moving like clockwork and they are working really well together. Both tribes are in the boats now and Galang can't even row their boat correctly! Everyone was yelling at Colton. They were all over the place and were yelling back and forth at each other. Colton yelled to stop yelling at him and he threatened to hit Kat in the head with his paddle. To which she replied, "Aw, hell naw!" You tell him Kat!

It's surprising that Galang was in this challenge at all because Tadhana was working so well together. Somehow, Galang pulls ahead on their 3rd puzzle, while Tadhana was stuck on the first. And 2 mothers blew past their 2 daughters and came away with an absolutely amazing comeback! I feel bad for Tadhana...they had that in the bag! I don't know what happened!

The returning players celebrate their amazing win, but are suddenly saddened (some of them) because they realize their loved ones are now going to Tribal Council and could be voted out. Gervase was the loudest of them all, shouting "that's how it's done!", but really, should he be talking? He had to be dragged through the water because he couldn't do it himself. The tribe may have won, but he certainly didn't do anything to help. When you win this season, your loved one loses. What an interesting twist to this game.

Before Tribal
The 5 guys (Vytas, Brad, Hayden, John and Caleb) solidify their alliance. They think they have something good with their alliance. The only thing that could ruin this alliance is Brad's mouth...it NEVER stops! He needs to do some listening for a change. Listening is as important, if not more so, than talking...ask Kat :)

The guys think Marissa should be a target because of Gervase's over-celebration on the other tribe. Katie is also a possibility because she was a part of the puzzle that lost them the challenge. They have to carefully consider their choice, because their choice also affects the other tribe and they also have to take into consideration who is at Redemption Island.

Tribal Council
Who's it gonna be, Katie or Marissa? I'm guessing Marissa, since they really didn't care for Gervase's display after the challenge.

1 vote for Katie and 5 votes is enough to send Marissa to Redemption Island! Probst gives them flint, and sends them on their way.

Great first episode! I'm so glad Survivor is back! Looking forward to a great season!

Dancing With The Stars, Ep. 17.1

So many changes this season! First of all, there is only one show per week. Now, they have moved the judges' table to the other side, and Tom stands next to Carrie Ann instead of Bruno. That just looks so odd, after 16 seasons of it being the other way. Since they are under a time crunch, they don't have to go up that ridiculously long staircase, they just get their scores at the judges' table...makes so much more sense!  Also, all of the dancers sit next to/behind the judges. Best of all, no more awkward and annoying questions from Brooke! At first I was really thrown by all the changes to the show, but once I got past the initial shock it is so refreshing and it feels like a new show. I'm loving it!

Brant & Peta - ChaCha
I'm a fan already! And now they're dancing to "Blurred Lines"!!!!!! Hot, hot, hot!! He's got some moves!
Judges' Scores: 22

Leah & Tony - Foxtrot
I am going to love Leah and Tony! Such a cool chemistry! I hate her dress, but she danced very well for the first time out. She looked like she was having fun. I must say, it was a very bouncy foxtrot, usually they are more smooth. Or as Bruno said, it was a "foxy trot". LOL!
Judges' Scores: 21

Corbin & Karina - Contemporary
Whoa, from the rehearsals, they look like they could be a dangerous couple! Literally! I love this routine! The song, the outfit choices, the white sheet, everything! I like the up-tempo version of the OneRepublic song! For a contemporary piece, that was so fast! It was incredible! I can't believe the lift and the drop...I thought he might actually drop her!
Judges' Scores: 24

Jack & Cheryl - Foxtrot
He has a lot more bounce than I thought he would. I thought he might be kind of heavy-footed, but he's actually quite light on his feet. He's quick and his legs showed quite a bit of flexibility on the kick that he did. I think he could do quite well in the competition. He has a lot to live up to, as his sister came in 3rd a few years ago.
Judges' Scores: 23

Amber & Derek - ChaCha
Love the song choice! Derek's still got it (like there was ever any doubt). His choreo is just the bomb. Props to Amber for keeping up with this fast moving ChaCha. First dance of the season for her and it was a lot of moves to learn! Wow!
Judges' Scores: 27

Elizabeth & Val - Contemporary
I had a feeling she was going to be pretty good. I wasn't overly blown away, but it was a very good performance. It seemed a bit rushed, I wish they would have slowed it down a little bit.
Judges' Scores: 24

Bill Nye & Tyne - ChaCha
How did I know they would do a science dance, full of gimmicks. It was fun and entertaining, but let's not kid ourselves, his technical skills need some more time in the lab, if you know what I mean.
Judges' Scores: 14

Keyshawn & Sharna - ChaCha
It seems like the football players always get a fast Latin dance as their first dance to show off their fun moves. I'm not as impressed as I usually am with the football players, but he definitely has potential. He seemed to struggle with his timing, and he did kind of stumble a couple of times. (And just to toot my own horn, Bruno didn't waste any time commenting on his timing issues...and then so did Len!)
Judges' Scores: 17

Christina & Mark - Contemporary
She looks gorgeous and I love her purple dress! I loved Mark's choreography. They have a really good chemistry together. I'm excited to see more dances from them. I think she will be around for quite awhile...just going on record saying that right now.
Judges' Scores: 22

Bill Engvall & Emma - Foxtrot
Biggest surprise of the night! He was really good...did not expect that! His form was great, his timing was good and he looked like he was having a good time. I'm surprised at the scores though, I was thinking 7s instead of 6s.
Judges' Scores: 18

Valerie & Tristan - Foxtrot
Oh man, I just can't handle the music. She's an inspiration, as she is living beyond what doctor's told her she could and she isn't a spring chicken. But, if this is a competition, which it is...it just isn't up to the level of the rest.
Judges' Scores: 21

Nicole & Sasha - ChaCha
I'm so excited to see Sasha as a pro! Girl has some skills! That was brave to have so many moves where she was separated from Sasha. I didn't know if she would have a lot of hip action or if she would be stiff...she is definitely NOT stiff! Wow, another surprise. I thought she might have trouble picking up choreography, but she nailed the moves. I liked it! I've never liked her, but maybe now with a baby, she has matured. It was nice to see a different side of her.
Judges' Scores: 23

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 7 Recap

Tears for Heidi
Heidi's eviction hit a lot of people hard.  Tim really misses her and he said she made him feel like he was home. Matt and Ed were really annoyed by Tully's over-the-top crying fest over Heidi leaving. They said she was making the moment all about her again. She said she was so upset because for 2 weeks in a row she thought she should have been evicted over the person who really left. If only that could have been true. I'm so over her! I know Drew would be upset, but her leaving would be the best thing that could happen to him.

The Battle is On!
The misfits think that the cool kids are all going home, and that they now have the numbers. Drew goes back and reports what they are saying, and Tahan blows a gasket! She rushes in to talk to Big Brother about the girls: Mikkayla, the Sugar Sisters and Jade. She really can't stand them and is bound and determined to take them all down if it's the last thing she does!

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 6 Recap

Eviction Reactions
Everyone is still reeling from Caleb's eviction. He was seen as one of the nicest people in the house and everyone was sad to see him go...especially Matt. What made it worse (in their eyes) was that Tim did NOT go home. Some of the people met together in the kitchen and had a "mutiny meeting", in order to try to get Tim out.

Nominations
This week, they will write their nominations on paper in the Diary Room instead of the chamber. Big Brother also informs them that they will only be allowed to only nominate for strategy.

When Caleb was voted out, he gave Matt this week's superpower. His superpower is the Shreader. He will have the power to shred 2 of the housemates nominations. He will be able to look at all of the votes. The tough part is that people have all written 2 names on 1 paper, so he has to be willing to sacrifice both names on the ballot. His first shred is the one with his name on it, and it also had Katie & Lucy on it (Drew's ballot). His second shred was the one that had his name on it as well as Ed's (Ben's vote).

Nomination Results
Heidi - 10
Tim - 10
Tahan - 9
Drew - 4
Mikkayla - 4
Tully -3

Because Drew gave Matt 3 points and Ben nominated Ed for 3 points, they should easily be able to figure out that their votes were shredded. Yikes! That one vote for Drew with 4 points did him in! I'm actually surprised that some more people didn't vote for him. There are several strategic reasons they could have: he's such a nice guy, his relationship with Tim and his relationship with Tully, and the fact that he is really flying under the radar. However...I'm glad that most people haven't figured this out and have other targets...for now anyway. I'm hoping people wake up this week and get rid of Tully! Come on Australia...save Tim!

Big Brother, Ep. 15.31

And Then There Were 4
Last night we said goodbye to Judd for a second time. I don't know what McCrae is thinking. He continues to get rid of the people he has the most chance of working with. He is all by himself, he needs to work with someone. He can't rely on winning every competition to save himself. If he doesn't win the Veto, he is toast.

Nominations Talk
Andy knows he's putting up McCrae, but his dilemma lies on which of his Exterminator buddies goes up next to him. In true floater Andy fashion, he can't make the decision himself because he doesn't want to make GM or Spencer mad at him. Grow some balls dude! You're HOH, at least make 1 decision yourself. But since you asked, hopefully Spencer will volunteer again.

Nomination Ceremony
McCrae and Spencer. McCrae was not a shocker, but I am a little surprised that he put up Spencer. I thought he told him that he would never put him up.

Big Brother, Ep. 15.30

GinaMarie Might Just Have a Brain After All
GinaMarie puts on a show in front of McCrae after being put on the block. She whines about having to pack her bags. She thinks that if she plays it like she thinks she's going home, he won't try so hard in the Veto competition. McCrae isn't too stupid, so he probably won't fall for it, but it was good thinking any way.

GinaMarie Shares Too Much
Just because they are tied together, GM feels the need to share everything about herself to McCrae...and I mean everything. Lady problems and all. Poor guy...I really feel sorry for him.

Veto Competition
The houseguests are all dressed up like superheroes, and from the sky, comes a flying Ian! Wow, without his glasses on, Ian is looking more grown up!

This competition is a repeat of last year. They soar back and forth with puzzle pieces. If their time runs out, the board demagnetizes and it all falls down and they have to start over. I don't know who to root for. I kind of want McCrae to get it, because I'd like him, GM and Judd to take out Spencer and Andy. However, if he or GM wins it, Spencer said he is going to put Judd up. That wouldn't be good!

Judd sees he's not going to win, so he quits and lets his time run out to help Andy. What are you thinking Judd? McCrae thinks he won, but something was wrong with his puzzle...he makes the adjustment and he wins!

Oh dear...I sure hope GM goes home instead of Judd. Things aren't looking good, because Judd just made himself a target by giving up.

Spencer Plays Both Sides and Judd has a Meltdown
Before the ceremony, Spencer reassures both GM and Judd (separately of course) that he REALLY wants each of them to stay. He told GM that he trusts her more than Judd and he was mad that he quit in the competition. He told Judd he's safe and he wants him to stay. Judd doesn't think he has the votes, so he has a meltdown! He starts knocking things over and has a hissy fit. Get a grip Judd! You aren't even officially on the block yet!

So You Think You Can Dance, Ep. 10.18 - The Finale

Tonight's Season 10 finale was full of great encore dances from all of the top 20 dancers. And we finally have our winners, after a season of extremely good dancing.

Judge's Encore Picks:
McKenzie & Paul - Mandy Moore's "Edge of Glory" (Paula's choice)
Fik-Shun & tWitch - Luther Brown's "Hello Good Morning" (Adam's choice)
Alexis, Aaron and Curtis - Anthony Morigerato's "You Really Did It" (Nigel's choice)
Hayley & Nico - Sean Cheesman's "Kiss of the Spider Woman" (tWitch's choice)
Tucker & Robert - Travis Wall's "Medicine" (Mary's choice) (such a good one, loved this one!)

Finalist's Choice:
Jasmine - "Blurred Lines" with Marko, choreographed by Ray Leeper (personally, one of my favorites of the season!)
Aaron - "I'm Kissing You" with Kathryn, choreographed by Stacey Tookey
Fik-Shun & Amy - "After Party", choreographed by NappyTabs (they both picked the same dance)

Other Encores:
Top 10 Guys - "Sand" (I loved this routine, and it was even better this second time around...it's just too cool!)
Jasmine & Comfort - "Who Runs the World (Girls)"
Jenna & Mark - "I Am the Best"
Amy & Travis - "Wicked Games" --voted Travis's best dance of the season (it's always amazing getting to watch him dance)

Original Number
Top 10 and All-Stars - "Lobster" (The music was the B-52's and it was done as a beach theme, and it was spectacular! Loved it!)

WINNERS!
America's Favorite Guy: Fik-Shun (Woohoo! I'm so happy!)
America's Favorite Girl: Amy (She's deserving, but I REALLY wanted Jasmine!)
It was announced that Amy received the most votes overall. And how funny is it that they were partners during the season!

The Voice: Season 5 Mentors

The Voice Season 5 premiere is September 23rd, just a couple weeks away! We finally have all of this season's mentors confirmed. I've been waiting to post this until I had all 4, and now I do. As reported during last season, Shakira and Usher are being replaced by original coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Here is who each coach has selected to be their mentor for their team:

Team Adam - Ryan Tedder (lead singer of OneRepublic)
Team Cee Lo - Miguel
Team Christina - Ed Sheeran
Team Blake - Cher

I am excited for 2 of these 4. Ryan Tedder is a very talented singer/songwriter, and has had huge success with OneRepublic. He has a great personality as well. I think he will be a very good mentor and I think he will be able to give really good advice to the contestants. And I'm so excited that he's Adam's mentor, because who wouldn't want to see a Adam/Ryan or Maroon 5/OneRepublic collaboration?! The other one that I'm excited for is Ed Sheeran. He is fairly new to the scene, but he has risen to fame very quickly. It will be interesting to see his perspective.

I am so not excited for Cher and Miguel. Cher can be annoying, and I might be the only person on the planet who doesn't think she's a good singer. Remember her performance on last season's season finale? It was awful! I do think that since she's been around forever, that she should have some good advice to give. And Miguel? Really? No one knows who he is. I only know of one of his songs, which was actually a Mariah Carey song, and I am NOT a fan. Way to pick another dud Cee Lo.

Big Brother, Ep. 15.29

Andy's Plan & McCrae's Stupid Move
So, last Thursday when Amanda got voted out, it sent shockwaves through the house. McCrae knows that either Elissa or Andy lied to him about voting to keep Amanda. Andy made sure that he threw Elissa under the bus and he swore up and down that McCrae would be stupid not to trust him and that Elissa is the one lying. Of course he IS lying, and poor Elissa can't seem to get McCrae on her side, even though she is telling the truth. McCrae did say that if either of them was lying, he would think it would be Andy. Yet, when he made his nominations, he put up Elissa and GinaMarie. Why? Why in the world would he do that, if he doesn't think he trusts Andy? Elissa was the one person left in the game that he could work with, and he sent her packing. Smart move, McCrae. Because of that, I think you're going to be joining Amanda in the Jury House very soon. Little does McCrae know, that while he is boo-hooing over losing Amanda, Judd, Spencer, GinaMarie and Andy are dancing, jumping up and down, doing cartwheels and hugging over their victory. It is a house of 4-1...he is doomed unless he wins HOH or Veto.

HOH Competition
For this competition, images of a past competition will appear slowly on the screen. When they figure out which competition it is, they need to choose the winner of that comp by making that houseguest's face out of blocks. Each round, the last person to finish the puzzle is out. Andy is out first in round 1. Judd messes up with one piece, just like on the first puzzle, and he is eliminated in round 2. And in round 3, Spencer comes away with his first HOH win...but who really cares at this point? I would have much preferred GinaMarie or Judd to win.

As part of the win, Spencer passes out a gift for each of the other houseguests.

Friendship=GlinaMarie and McCrae=tied together with a friendship bracelet
Wealth=Andy=chance to win up to $5000 (after smashing piggy banks, he ends up with $94.83)
Health=Judd=perform exercises that a drill sergeant tells him whenever a whistle blows

McCrae Makes a Move
Since he's tied to GinaMarie, McCrae decides to make a final 2 deal with her. He says he can see working with her and taking her to the final 2 over anyone else. When she seemed surprised that he would do that, he asked her if she had a final 4 deal with the other guys. She said no, and she realized that he was on to their alliance. So, she said she'd go along with him, but now she really wants him gone.

Spencer Lies to McCrae
Spencer tells McCrae that he has to put him up because he is the most logical target after last week, but he reassures him that he is safe. He tells him that he wants GinaMarie to go, to have the 4 guys left. He said when the vote is a tie, he will vote to keep him. McCrae is very skeptical and thinks the other 4 are working together, and if they were trying to get him out, this is how they would do it. McCrae is definitely smart, but unfortunately, there is nothing he can do about it.

Nomination Ceremony
Spencer nominates McCrae and GinaMarie.

Big Brother, Ep. 15.28

500th Episode!

It's another double eviction night people! Everyone, as we prepare for tonight's live show, can we all bow our heads and say a little prayer? Please let Amanda be voted out, followed by floaters Andy and Spencer. Thank you.

To catch up everyone who doesn't watch the live feeds (like me). I've used my Twitter resources to find out what's been happening in the house, and it's been a very strange turn of events. Somehow Amanda has managed to persuade Elissa into wanting to keep her! I know, right?! 2 people who have hated each other from day 1. Elissa has gone so far as to give Amanda her wedding ring as assurance that she is with her. They think they have Andy, but I'm hearing that they really don't. So, what should happen is that McCrae and Elissa will both vote for Spencer, and Andy and Judd will vote for Amanda. That means it's a tie, which would go to GinaMarie for the tie-breaker. Apparently, her and Amanda had an epic hour-long fight last night, that started because GinaMarie thought Amanda smirked at her. It got really heated and nasty, so it would be a pretty big shocker if she didn't vote her out. But, stranger things have happened. OK, here we go!

Amanda's Last Pitch
Amanda swears that if Elissa will keep her, she will protect her and so will McCrae and Andy. Amanda told her that she is the next target when Amanda's gone. Sure didn't take much, and Elissa is on board. Andy is about to be outed, because he doesn't want to keep Amanda. Spencer is now worried because he pretty much volunteered to be the pawn. Rule #1: DON'T EVER VOLUNTEER TO BE THE PAWN!

Big Brother, Ep. 15.27

Amanda on the Warpath
Amanda just can't figure out where her and McCrae went wrong. She confronts Spencer and Andy about being behind the nomination. Spencer and Andy of course, deny deny deny. And after yelling and screaming, she finally says "I don't even want to be here any more. I can't be with these people any more"...wah wah wah...poor baby. She got played, and can't deal with it. She gets blindsided and all of a sudden, she is just done with the game...ridiculous.

McCrae Knows it's the End
McCrae is depressed because Amanda is important to him, and important to his game. Well, that's where you're wrong buddy. He's a target by association. He has laid low and done basically nothing, while Amanda has run the game and her mouth. If it wasn't for her, no one would know he even existed.

Elissa Eavesdrops
Elissa overhears Andy and Amanda and she gets a feeling that he is more loyal to Amanda than to her. He admits to playing both sides of the house...definition of a FLOATER. I don't know why he was so upset by Zingbot when he called him a floater...that's exactly what he is! When Spencer tells Amanda and Andy that Elissa was listening at the door, you could almost literally see steam coming out her ears. She immediately STORMS out of the storage room, and THREW open the door to go after Elissa. It sure seemed like she was hoping that Elissa was still at the door so she could bash her head with the door. It's a good thing she wasn't, because she would have been hurt pretty badly.

Veto Competition

Dancing With The Stars Season 17 Cast

The Season 17 Dancing With The Stars cast was revealed today. We now know what stars are competing and who their professional partners are. Tune in for the premiere on Sept. 16. And be ready for a big change this season--there will no longer be 2 episodes per week. They are now going to just one 2-hour episode on Mondays. Votes from the previous week will be added to the judges' scores that night and then a couple will be eliminated at the end of the show.

My initial thoughts are that I'm not really excited about any of the "stars" in this cast. I feel like I say it every season, and every season, I am proved wrong--people I didn't know very well before prove to be very likable and people I didn't like before end up being fun to watch any way. So I'm sure this season will be no different. Here are some other thoughts I have:
  • I'm very disappointed with Derek's partner, Amber. I've never been a fan. I knew the time was coming when Derek wouldn't get paired with a sure-fired winner. She's probably my least favorite pairing that Derek has had.
  • However, the pairing that I am most disappointed with is Valerie and Tristan. I say it EVERY season...GIVE TRISTAN A YOUNG PARTNER! This is his 5th season, and again, I will remind everyone of the ages of his partners: Nancy Grace-53, Gladys Knight-68, Pamela Anderson-45 and Dorothy Hamill-56. Now he can add Valerie Harper at age 74! How is this fair?! Tristan has so much to offer, but he doesn't get the chance because his partners aren't "popular" and at their age, they're lucky if they can last more than a few weeks. Dorothy Hamill got injured last season and had to quit. I would give anything to see him be paired with a "winner" like a Kelly, or an Ali. Why couldn't he get Elizabeth, Nicole, Christina or even Leah? Seriously...throw this guy a bone, this is ridiculous! UPDATE: I'm just watching Valerie on Hot in Cleveland right now, and now I'm REALLY not looking forward to seeing her on DWTS! Boy is she going to be annoying! Poor, poor Tristan!
  • And what is with all the actors/actresses? Every single one of them with the exception of Keyshawn is involved in TV one way or another. This is the most lop-sided cast ever. Usually there are at least a couple athletes, and some singers, along with some other things thrown in. I know that actors make up a large portion of celebrities, but seriously?
  • First we had "The Situation" from Jersey Shore, a couple seasons ago, and now we have to deal with the worst one of them all: "Snooki". Seriously...could she be more annoying? Ugh! Poor Sasha...what a first partner to get.
  • Speaking of Sasha, I'm happy to see him get promoted to pro! I'm a big fan of his from what I've seen of him in the troupe.
  • In addition to Snooki who followed The Situation from Jersey Shore, there are also a couple others who are following in someone else's footsteps: Jack Osbourne follows his sister Kelly, and Corbin follows fellow High School Musical actress Monique Coleman.
  • Bill Nye, The Science Guy may be the strangest person they've ever cast on this show. Wow, who knew this guy was even still around?
  • I think Keyshawn, Elizabeth, Christina, and Corbin will be the ones to watch.
And here's your cast:

So You Think You Can Dance, Ep. 10.17

We're down to the final 4, and next week the winners will be revealed.

Partnering w/ Each Other

Aaron & Amy - Jazz
First of all, what the heck is Amy wearing (or not wearing)? I wouldn't really classify this as jazz...I'm not really sure what it was, but they were really good! Amy had some really unique movements and poses that were really cool.

Fik-Shun & Jasmine - Contemporary
Another great concept from Travis Wall--under water. They were so fluid and flowing with their movements, I could totally see what Travis was going for. Fik-Shun again, just proves how great he is at adapting to different styles, and different partners...who happen to be bigger and taller than him. Very nice job. I loved the ending where it really looked like they were floating away from each other.

Amy & Fik-Shun - Tango/Paso Doble
Stunning and powerful! I loved the opening lift! Very cool Tango/Paso Doble fusion. I think they did a great job, but the dance seemed really short!

Aaron & Jasmine - Samba
I love Dmitry, and his choreography! I love Jasmine's purple dress! She really got her shimmy on in this dance. Aaron pretty much just stood there while she literally danced circles around him. I'm surprised that in a finale, Mary actually agreed with me...she didn't think he had very good technique.

Aaron & Fik-Shun - Broadway
The moving conveyor belt was a cool feature to have for this dance. Fik-Shun obviously added more fun facial expressions and character than Aaron, but I think they were both pretty evenly matched technically.

Jasmine & Amy - Jazz
I'm so excited to see Mark choreographing another number! He is one of the most unique choreographers there are. Very strange concept, so you know it's going to be a great dance. It's got a lot of Lady Gaga-esque elements, which is to be expected. The outfits were really crazy. They paired up really well and really did look like Siamese twins. They couldn't have been more in sync than they were...it was crazy!

Dance With All Star--They get to choose the style

Aaron & Melinda - Tap
I've said it before and I'll say it again...I am NOT a fan of tap. Therefore, I didn't like this at all. I can appreciate it as a style, but I just do not enjoy watching it. Most times, the tapping noise just distracts from the routine rather than add to it, and this was the case in this number.

Jasmine & Comfort - Hip-Hop
Interesting for her to choose a different style than her own, but she is good at everything, so it doesn't really matter. I didn't care for the music at all--I've never liked that song, but she killed it. They made a good pair and she kept up with Comfort every step of the way.

Fik-Shun & tWitch - Hip-Hop
This is going to be awesome. They were so in sync and it was a very cool routine. I wish they would have picked a different song, though. I immediately thought it was like Fik-Shun was tWitch's Mini Me. Nigel said it was like tWitch and tWitch Jr.

Amy & Robert - Contemporary
I love the story, I love the song. Very beautiful. I love when he pulled her back from off the edge of the stage. The backbend over him was amazing...what control! And Robert's one-handed lift at the end was crazy!

Solos

Jasmine
I really hope Jasmine wins. She is just phenomenal. She dances with such heart and emotion, and her lines are unmatched.

Fik-Shun
I just love watching him. It doesn't matter what style it is, he just has so much fun with it and gives it his all. How cool was his Gangnum Style! Loved it! Best solo of the season! Good of him to pick a popular song to relate with people. Everyone had to love that! I really hope he wins!

Amy
I love her opening pose! I don't know how she held it so long! She really is a beautiful dancer.

Aaron
Again with the tap...not a fan. I hated the way it ruined the Jason Mraz song. The tap did nothing but distract from the song, which distracted from whatever performance he was trying to give. As far as tap goes, I didn't think that he even had much going on technically. I don't know why the judges just ooh and aah over tap and how good they think it is.

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 5 Recap

Eviction Reaction
I am so ready for Tully to go! She cries all the time and she makes absolutely everything about herself. But what really makes me mad is how she treats Drew like her property. She acts like she's trying to make Jade jealous, but it doesn't make sense because she has a girlfriend. Sometimes I wonder if she forgets about that. She doesn't behave with Drew like a friend...I agree with Tim...I think it's sexual.

Nomination Superpower
OK, it is confirmed that instead of winning the superpower in the Showdown, the evicted housemate will be deciding who will get the superpower.

Tim's Eviction Rocks
Apparently Tim has special rocks that he uses to help him decide who to nominate. Each person has a rock. Tully told everyone about the rocks and she told them that her rock has a crack down the middle and she doesn't know what that means.

After his time with his rocks in the back yard, Matthew said he wanted to know what his rock looked like. Tim got upset that Tully told people about the rocks. He then confesses to Tully: "Tully, your rock broke! Like, it broke in half. I don't know what that means!" Haha!

Nominations

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 4 Recap

Nominations
Tully is given the "Lurker" super power. She can view the chart of who has nomination points and how many votes they have, but she won't see who is nominating. The chart will change in real time as the housemates nominate. She also gets 6 points this week instead of 5. She will be given 3 times to nominate someone and she can choose to give 2 points to one housemate or 1 point to two different housemates.

The Voting Results
Mikkayla - 13
Jasmin - 10
Tahan - 10
Jade - 9
Katie & Lucy - 6
Matthew - 6

Tully's Strike
Tully breaks a couple of Big Brother's rules, so he issues her a strike. She talked about her super power when she was supposed to not talk about it. She told Drew he was safe, and also talked to Matthew. If she gets 2 more strikes, she will be removed from the house.

Separation Anxiety
Poor Matthew is stuck in the Halfway House with 6 girls! No bro time for him.

This is also the first time that Jade and Drew are on different sides of the house. She really misses him. They share some alone time over and through the walls, but she's still really lonely.

The Fence is Down!
Late at night, the bars were taken down in the lounge area, and the fence was taken down in the backyard. The next morning, the housemates woke up to a completely different house. Everything was as one house. The Halfway house got up first and saw no fence and the girls began squealing and wailing like crazy! The ran screaming into the Safe House area and woke everyone else up. Ben was so excited, he did one of his classic "twist" dances.

Another Showdown
The winner will not only get a night in the Presidential Suite, but he/she will get to do a nomination swap!

The last challenge with tricycles was hilarious! Drew's exploded right in front of him! But it's Jade for the win! How exciting!

Nomination Swap
Now Jade can save herself...but who will she sacrifice? Although it was a hard decision, she chose Ben. This was a good choice, because he will obviously be safe.

Jade chose Katie and Lucy to share her Presidential Suite. I'm so sad she didn't choose Drew, and I think he was too. I think this would have been  a good time for them to sit down and really talk about their relationship. Now Tully is going to go after him, while Jade isn't around. I don't understand what she's doing? She has a GIRLFRIEND, hello?!

Tim's "Birthday"
Oh my...Tim's birthday was in April, but he is telling everyone that it is his 30th birthday today. However, Drew is in on the joke. He was making all kinds of demands, and making people wait on him hand and foot. The biggest problem he has, is that Big Brother won't be providing him with anything, since it is not really his birthday. He is throwing himself an 80s rockstar party, and everyone dresses up like the 80s. At the end of the day, he plans to tell everyone the truth, but he's not sure how some people will react, and he's dug himself a big hole. He finally comes clean, and most people were OK with it, but couldn't believe he led them on for so long.

Tully was the most upset, but mainly because Drew knew about it and didn't tell her. Seriously Tully? He is NOT her boyfriend, and this wasn't that big of a deal. It was Tim's idea, and Drew was just being a good friend by not spoiling it.

The house decided to get him back by hiding all of his clothes under Heidi's bed.

Nomination Results
31% = Ben
22% = Katie & Lucy
15% = Mikkayla
13% = Matthew
13% = Tahan
Evicted
6% = Jasmin

Somehow I missed the reason, but Jas gets to give away the Nomination Super Power to the housemate of her choice. She chooses to give it to Heidi.

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 3 Recap

Nominations
Ed was given the "Sounding Off" super power. He was allowed to pick 3 housemates to listen in as they make their nominations. Out of 3 sets of housemates, he was allowed to pick one from each group. He chose Xavier, Drew and Tim.

After all of the nominations, the point totals, and nominated housemates were as follows:
Tahan = 12
Tully = 12
Ben = 11
Xavier = 11
Rohan = 9
Matthew = 7
Mikkayla = 7

Because of the tie between Matthew and Mikkayla, Tahan and Tully (with the most nomination points) had to decide which one would come over to the Halfway House with them. They (Tahan mostly) decided on Mikkayla. Mikkayla goes in for the 2nd week in a row, while all of the others are nominated for the first time. It's also ironic, that Tahan was the one who saved Mikkayla in the previous week.

Xavier's Birthday
Big Brother teased Xavier with the opportunity to watch his favorite team on the tv, the Bulldogs. But, it was just a bunch of actual bulldogs. Later, the housemates all got to have a nice dinner and they celebrated by all getting into the hot tub at the same time...all of them...even Ben! Things got silly and Jasmin and Ed kissed in the hot tub. Jade was very jealous and hurt. A day or so before, Ed kind of told her that nothing was going to happen with them and that he didn't want to share a bed with her. This was after Jade had kissed him. So now Jade feels the same way about Jade that Drew feels about her.

Tim's Decision
Big Brother calls Tim into the Diary Room and asks him if he thinks he is less selfish than he was when he came into the house. To test Tim, Big Brother gives him the exact same choice that he did the first week: a pint of his favorite ice cream, or giving Tahan her hair dryer. Again, Tim's stomach wins, and he ate his ice cream. And in an almost complete de ja vu, Tahan sitting in the lounge of the Halfway House, and Tim comes out of the Diary Room laughing and he tells her that again, he chose the ice cream over her hair dryer.

Mysterious Box
A mysterious box appears on the kitchen table, with an attached note that says not to touch. Eventually, Big Brother tells them that they will be playing Pass the Parcel (apparently it's a popular game in Australia). Xavier is chosen (he volunteered) to control the music, which means he isn't eligible to win. He must turn away and randomly start and stop the music while the rest pass the parcel. When it stops, whoever is holding the parcel unwraps a layer of wrapping paper. On the last round, Xavier dropped the iPod, stopping the music while Mikkayla is holding the parcel. On the inside it told her she had to choose to save someone and replace that person with someone from the Safe House. She chooses to save herself, which means she has been saved twice now! She chooses Matthew as her replacement. Caleb takes it very hard, because he is now separated from his bromance.

Visit from a Celebrity
Big Brother tells the housemates that they are going to be visited by a major celebrity. This star has won Oscars and Golden Globes. They are all really excited and some are having fun getting all dressed up, but others are not. Mikkayla is very self-conscious and none of the dresses are fitting her and she already knows that she is not as tiny as the rest of the girls. Ben and Tahan try to comfort her and reassure her that she is beautiful the way she is.

Finally, the time comes for them to meet the celebrity out on the red carpet in the back yard. And out he comes...George Clooney! Sort of...it's a dog, named George Clooney. Everyone is really excited and he starts running around everywhere. Big Brother informs them that he is there to stay. Mikkayla volunteers to be in charge of Mr. Clooney. This seems to brighten her mood quite a bit.

Bromance in Trouble, Rekindling Showmance
After Ed sort of rejected Jade, she started paying more attention to Drew again. This made Drew happy, yet confused at the same time. She was throwing him all kinds of different signals. One minute she is saying Drew isn't really her type (I don't know if she ever actually told him that), and that Ed is more her type. Now she tells Drew that she thinks he's attractive and that he is someone she would go for on the outside.

So, now that they are spending more time together, Drew doesn't have as much time for his bromance, Tim. Tim is sad because he doesn't see Drew very often. But, Drew did make some time for Tim one evening and they decided to play a trick on everyone and make it look like the dog took some people's belongings. They snuck them outside and put them near the dog house. Silly boys!

Showdown
After another long Showdown, it was Tully who came out on top this week. Along with winning a night in the Presidential Suite and the super power, she also won $5,000. Tully chooses to spend her night in the Presidential Suite with Tahan, because she has been with her on both sides of the house and because she is also nominated and it could be her last night in the house as well.

Double Eviction!
Australia votes and when the voting lines are closed, the bottom 2 will be going home...oh dear! I really like this whole cast, so it's going to be hard to lose 1, let alone 2! My picks would be Tully and Rohan. Matthew, Ben and Xavier better not go anywhere!

The Voting % were as follows:
27% = Matthew
27% = Ben
16% = Tahan
14% = Tully
EVICTED
10% = Xavier (NO!!! I wasn't ready for him to go! I really wanted one of the whiny, girl criers to go)
6% = Rohan (what a bummer...poor guy got evicted on his birthday)

Big Brother, Ep. 15.26

New HOH
GinaMarie wins HOH this week, as we see the continuation of the egg challenge, where they had to maneuver 12 eggs through a maze of chicken wire first. She was really kicking butt. Andy was pretty close to her, while Amanda, Judd and Spencer were fighting for last.

The losers of the competition were Judd and Spencer, and they are forced to wear a chicken costume for 48 hours.

The Puppeting Continues

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 2 Recap

New Housemates!
Ben is called to the Diary Room, where he is introduced to the newest housemate, Rohan. Ben was told to close his eyes. Rohan entered the room and hid behind the chair and scared Ben. Ha! Then it was Ben's job to fill Rohan in with what's going on in the house, because he has been in seclusion and hasn't been able to see or hear anything that has happened in the first week. Ben proceeds to list everyone's names...like he's going to be able to remember all that.

Later, Caleb is called into the Diary Room, where he is introduced to sisters Lucy and Katie. 2 blondes who look, talk and laugh totally alike, but they aren't twins. Lucy and Katie will be playing as 1 player, and aren't allowed to be more than 3 meters away from each other. Caleb is in blonde heaven, as he has them both sit on his lap in the DR chair. He then fills them in on a few things before introducing them to the rest of the house.

As new housemates, they can't be nominated in the first nomination ceremony. Also, they will be moving into the room that was occupied by Drew and Jade.

Nominations
Each person has 5 points to use to nominate 2 housemates. They decide how many points they want to give each person they are nominating. The 6 housemates with the most points will be up for nomination and will move into the Halfway house.

After all the housemates have nominated, here were the standings:

Jade and Drew were automatically nominated
Mikkayla - 17
Sharon - 14
Jasmin - 11
Heidi - 10
Tim - 10

Because Heidi and Tim were tied, it is up to the person with the most nomination points to choose. This week, that meant Mikkayla. She chose Tim.

Ben's New Job
Since Ben is unemployed on the outside, Big Brother decides to give him the opportunity to work in the Big Brother house, as Big Brother's assistant. Ben had to interview for it and everything. After the interview, Ben was given the job, and he was to start the next morning. His first task was to wake up the other housemates...which was hilarious, because he talked so quietly.

His other task included answering the phone for Big Brother. One of the phone calls from Big Brother required him to choose a housemate to answer the phone. Mainly because she was closest to the phone, he chose Tahan, and she accepted. Big Brother told her that she must choose to save someone from the Halfway House and replace them with someone from the Safe House. She was really upset that she had to make the decision, but reluctantly she chose to save Mikkayla (because she is friends with her and thought she might go home...and she thinks she can beat her in the end) and replaced her with Heidi (who was tied with Tim in number of nomination points).

Jade's Birthday
For Jade's birthday, she was given a princess dress and the housemates got to dress up to have a nice meal and a princess birthday cake. Later, she got a kiss from Ed, whom she's had a crush on. This really crushed Drew, who still has feelings for her, while she continues to flirt with Ed.

Showdown
After this week's Showdown, Ed came away as the winner. He flipped his medal to choose who to spend the night in the Presidential Suite with, and ended up picking Sharon.

Eviction
We get to see exactly how Australia voted:

38% = Drew! Yay! I'm so glad the public likes him as much as I do!
22% = Tim! Woohoo!
22% = Jade
9% = Heidi
5% = Jasmin
4% = Sharon

So with only 4% of the votes, Sharon becomes the first person voted out of the Big Brother house.

Big Brother Australia 10, Week 1 Recap

A House Divided
As the housemates entered the house, they were told to choose a key. After choosing a key, they had to try the 2 doors that led into the house. Some keys opened the left door and some keys opened the right door. Upon entering the house, the housemates quickly discovered that the house was divided. One side of the house was luxurious and spacious--aka "The Safe House", while the other side was half the size and had basically nothing-- aka "The Halfway House"!

Rules of the Halfway House:
  • No climbing the fence or squeezing through the bars
  • They will be fed by the Safe House, because they have no food or kitchen on their side of the house
  • They are not allowed to eat until everyone in the Safe House has eaten
  • They have the only washing machines in the house, so they are responsible for doing all of the laundry of the Safe House housemates

Night 1
The housemates struggle to get to know one another with the wall that is dividing them. The biggest event of the night was when Tahan and Caleb were bummed that they did not have access to the hot tub. So, they decided to (even though they were told not to) squeeze through a hole in the wall and take a dip in the hot tub. Immediately, they were called into the Diary Room. Since Tahan got into the hot tub, she was told to give up her entire suitcase, and because Caleb only went through the wall, he had to give up half of his suitcase.

Twist #1--Married Couple
2 more people enter the house a day later--Jade and Drew. They meet in the Diary Room for the first time and they are told that they have been given a special task. They are to appear as a married couple, and must convince the other housemates that they are married. They get rings and everything, and only a few minutes to come up with their story. Once in the house, Big Brother gives them access to a honeymoon suite where they will sleep and can have alone time..

Naturally, since everyone else has had a day to get to know one another, everyone was all over Jade and Drew firing questions at them left and right. And not just any questions, but very specific questions about their engagement, wedding, and life together. Any time they were separated, they had to fill each other in on things that they told people so that they could be on the same page. Several people (especially Tim and Heidi) were very suspicious of the whole thing.

I for one, think they did a great job, and I think they made an absolutely perfect couple! They were so cute with each other. It seemed like it wasn't all acting. Drew admitted to Jade and to Big Brother that he really likes Jade and that she was his type. However, Jade said that Drew wasn't really her type and wouldn't be someone she would go for on the outside. She told Drew that Ed and Matthew were more her type of guy. Poor Drew just laid there, and you could tell that that really hurt him. I felt so bad for him!

At the end of the week, Big Brother told the housemates that they had to decide whether they believed that Jade and Drew were actually married or not. Up until a day before, even Heidi and Tim were really starting to believe that they were wrong and that they actually were married. But, Jade made a comment about when she got married, it would be to someone really tall, and they she caught herself and said she already had Drew, so... Ben and Matthew were the only 2 who said they believed they were married. The other housemates were called to the Diary Room, where Big Brother asked them one final time, and if they were wrong, they would automatically be nominated. They all stuck with their guts and said they didn't believe them. When back out into the living area, Big Brother finally put all of the speculation to rest, when he played their "wedding" video. So, since Jade and Drew lost the challenge, they are now automatically 2 of the 6 nominated housemates.

Tim's Choice
Tahan and Caleb received their suitcases back...but they were empty! Tahan had a meltdown over her missing hair dryer. In the Diary Room, Big Brother gave Tim an option: have a pint of his favorite ice cream, or give Tahan her hair dryer back. It didn't take long for him to choose the ice cream. He didn't have to, but he told her the choice he was given, and what he decided. Why he chose to tell her, I have no idea.

Surly
Surly the fish makes his first appearance this season, to Heidi...in the bathroom...in the drain. Surly gave Heidi a mission: wear a shirt that says "I Dare You...Nominate Me." She must make everyone believe that she made the shirt herself. If she succeeds, she will win Tahan and Caleb's belongings back, because Surly was the one who stole them. She succeeds and they get their stuff back...minus Tahan's hair dryer.

Showdown
After team competitions, Matthew was left standing as the winner. As the winner, he wins a night in the Presidential Suite, with a person of his choosing. He chose his bromance, Caleb. Also, as the winner, his superpower is that he will choose another housemate as an assassin. That assassin will not know that they have been chosen for anything special, and the other housemates won't know what Matthew's special power was. Matthew chooses Caleb as the assassin. As the assassin, Caleb's votes will be doubled when the housemates make their nominations.
